Use Businesscard Design as Home Page?
If I wanted to use my business card as the home page
image, what would be the best way to do it? A template?
I would like to have clickable links on the card (home, contact, etc...)
But I would like for the card to take up almost the entire page.
Anyone have done something similar?

You could do it using an image of the business card with hotspots on top where the user clicks.
It's novel but from a usability and SEO point of view, I question if it will work well.
Your home page is prime real estate for search engines (SEs) to find you. It's good practice to use it well and maximize its appeal to Search Engines.
SEs are looking for text rich websites where they can read and rank the relevance of the content.
The more keyword (not Meta keywords but human readable text on the page) rich content found on your home page as normal text, the better your chances of being found.
SEs cannot read images so you may be hurting your potential ranking with this approach.

Hello. I have windows xp. When using Firefox as my home page, I get awful screen interference of lines verticle and horizontal. When I switch to Internet Explorer I don't get them. I want to keep Firefox as server.
Here is something that you can try:
# Click on Tools and then click Options.
# Select the Advanced panel
# Select the General tab
# Uncheck Use hardware acceleration where available.
# Click File and then click Exit.
# Start Firefox normally.
Once you have followed those steps, you'll want to follow these as well and see if the lines are gone.
Click the Help menu and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
Let me know if this has eliminated the problem. -
I use current version of Firefox on a Windows XP desktop machine. I normally use Yahoo as my home page and Firefox as my browser. Starting a few weeks ago, when I clicked on a link on the main Yahoo page, I would get about one second of whatever it was I wanted to read or see then another screen that included "adap.tv" in the very long URL would replace it. Starting yesterday, this program began to override the security settings in Firefox that told it to NOT change the home page and I now get about one second of Yahoo before it switches to a page with "adap.tv" in the "URL". I have reloaded Firefox without success.

If you mean the Blank starting page for Safari, you can tap open the box with the arrow ion Safari when visiting a Page to Bookmark it and add it to the Favorites list. It will then appear in the Favorites start page for Safari when you open a new tab.
If you mean your Phones home screen where your Apps are you can use the same process except tapping on Add to Homescreen instead of Bookmark. -
I installed the latest version of Firefox. The home page is now a google search box. I would like to use my old sbcyahoo desktop with its icons. I am unable to make the change.

TOOLS > OPTIONS > GENERAL tab
Under Start-up at the top of GENERAL, you have an option to type in the url or use the tabs to set your homepage to the current page.
Go to your chosen site, open OPTIONS and click 'Use current page.'

Two days ago I downloaded the web developer tool bar (aus2.mozilla.com). I tried to use it but gave up. I deleted the tool bar.
I don't have any images anymore. I use Google.com as my home page (default) and the large GOOGLE isn't there anymore. I've also noticed some of the sites I use don't have the continue or next or enter keys anymore. It seems the only thing I have now is the text.Are you sure you are looking at the Google page?? In Firefox 4.0 the default homepage / Start Page in Firefox was changed to '''about:home''' which looks a lot like the former www.google.com/firefox homepage.

If I understand you problem correctly then you go to Database Homepage, and login using sys/system you can see the homepage with the icons for 'Application Builder', 'SQL Workshop', 'Utilities'.
Here clicking on 'SQL Workshop' you will find 'Object Browser', 'Sql Commands', 'SQL Scripts' and 'Query Builder'.
You can create database objects by entering sql commands in 'Sql Commands' or from the 'Object Browser'->[Create] button.

When using tab, automatically opening Home page
When I open a new Tab, it directs me to a blank page. I would rather that it would open to my home page. I know that there is something out there to make it so. But I am at wits end.
A blank page on a new tab is the Firefox default.

Using blog template for home page
I'm trying to use the blog template for my home page, but the navigation bar disappears and some of the fonts change when I publish it to my folder. Anyone have experience with this?
iWeb appears to be picking up the font size and bolding from the previous text boxes, which are larger headings. The first few words or characters are bold and in the heading pt. size, then the rest of the text is OK. Originally, I had both the headings and text in the same text box. I separated them to try and fix things.
I tried changing the inset margin from 4 pt to 6. Didn't work.
I also can't figure out why my navbar doesn't appear on my home page (redesigned using the blog template). Oddly enough, if I load a different page and click back to my home page, the navbar finally appears, but that's no help if someone goes directly to my home page first.
Thoughts? -

In Pages 5, you can insert images using the Media browser at the top of the document window. Once you insert them, you can edit and arrange images using the Format inspector--the paintbrush icon in the top right. You can find detailed information about inserting and using images at these links:

How do i get a larger typeface using firefox and igoogle home page?
I just switched to Firefox from Explorer 8. (I don't want 9.) I still have Explorer but am trying Firefox and the igoogle homepage type is too small. Where can I change the size or enlarge it? When I open Explorer with the igoogle homepage it is the right size. I can barely see the type using Firefox.
If it is just the one page, the page may have been zoomed out. With the site on display try resetting page zoom by using the keyboard shortcut Control+0 (zero)

Not much else to add.
I'd still prefer to keep separate user accounts. I never had any issues like this before. The only time I started having a problem was when I was just trying to force empty the trash a few months ago. I came on here looking for a solution and someone posted a way to empty the trash using the terminal. Before then, I hadn't used the terminal for anything--it was just another app in my utilities folder. (None of this has anything to do with having separate user accounts. Plenty of people with kids make second and third user accounts on their laptops so that multiple people can use one laptop, having more than one user on a laptop is not very difficult.) But thank you, I'll try that out and see if it works!
