Use Buttons to switch HTML Pages

I have Dreamweaver 8 (as part of Studio 8 Mac). I use OSX.3.9
on a G4-500, and OSX.4.7 on a PB17 !.67GB.
I would like to have a home page with buttons some where
acros the top or down one side. Maybe using a Tables, I would like
to click a given button and the desired page would either come up
replacing the previos page. Or if using a table, the top table part
remains the same and either the right lower Table section or lower
table section (depending upon where the button are) would change to
contents of html page linked to. I've tried using an extension. But
its my understanding I can actually do this from with Dreameaver
without need of a Button designer extension.

Create a graphic button. Place it on a page in the desired
location.
Select the button. Use the Property inspector to browse to
and select a new
page (the link field).
Is that what you are asking?

Is it possible to use booleans to build a VI that uses buttons to switch between screens (3 only) while the other screens disappear?

As a beginner, I need help figuring out how to build a simply VI that uses boolean logic to switch between three different screens. I need a "Home" screen, the next screen which has a button to go back "Home" and a third screen which has two buttons to go "Home" and "Previous Screen". Can someone help me with a simple block diagram?

Or put the data in three tab controls. The tabs itself are hidden. The
program switches between the tab sheet if one of the buttons is pressed.
The buttons are best not copied, e.g. the same buttons are used in every tab
sheet (buttons hover above the tab, a black shadow will apear). If the first
sheet is shown, button 2 and 3 are hidden, sheet two: only button 3 is
hidden, sheet three no button is hidden.
Showing the tabs allows the user to choose the views directlly. The button
logic is not needed anymore. But you'll have to live with a simple tab
sheet, instead of a fancy button system!

Using WEB Output HTML Gallery and uploading using ftp upload the HTML page views correctly but images only display the alt tag in the browser window?

After a little investigation, I discovered that PNGs also do not render correctly in IE7 in similar circumstances.
I ended up using Levels in Photoshop to bring the output blacks up to "5", saved the images as PNGs, modified the HTML from .jpg to .png, and that seems to have covered up the problem well enough.
By the way, I did confirm that IE8 beta 2 renders the images correctly.

You have deleted your page, but you have not deleted your page?
Which is it?
If you never saved it it is gone. If you saved it in Lion (OSX 10.7) with Pages 09 v4.1, there should be versions available when you mouse overv the document name at the top of the window.

Link button to local html page using AS3

I am using AS3 and having trouble linking a button to a local html page

Okay, I tried both of the codes and it is still now working.
navigateToURL(new URLRequest("file:///fishcom/Home.html"));
I get a Windows dialog box that states that the path can not be found.
navigateToURL(new URLRequest("./fishcom/Home.html"));
This goes to http://./fishcom/Home.html but not my page.
The Flash file and the HTML page are in the fishcom folder on my desktop. Very frustrating because this was so easy in AS2.

Use PHP to convert html page to a pdf file for email

I want to use my php scripts to send an email (with a pdf attachment) of the web page that is being viewed.
My problem I have no way to convert the html page to a pdf file without the end user being prompted to (1) naming the file (2) saving it
Is there a program or a way i can save the html as "auto_name.pdf" file on the server without user input?

There are lots of good Html to Pdf conversion tools for developers, both free and paid. I'd suggest to take a look at PD4ML Html to Pdf converter - it has lots of features (CSS support, page layout presets, etc.) and can be obtained for free for non commercial usage. There is also a topic at Stackoverflow with a list of such converters.

Problem using buttons to switch sets

I just want to do the simple thing of using the set buttons to switch up and down between sets but its proving infuriating. Lets say i have 4 sets….and i want to just cycle up and down them….i assign the set up button to previous set and set down button to next set…..but it doesn't work…or sometimes just jumps between set one and set four ignoring the sets in-between. Anyone know what the deal is?

Think I've figured it out. I had 4 sets with no patches (don't need to switch patches)…..when i added a patch to each set it would switch between them using the buttons.

Flash button - linking to HTML page - weird problem

There could be a really easy solution for this, but I can't
figure it out. I have a simple button that links to an anchor
within an HTML page. Here the actionscript for the button:

when the button is pressed, the HTML page comes up but only
to the top of test.html. The '#two' is not passed to the URL .
Seems like everything after '#' is ignored. How can I get around
this?

Place this actionscript into the hit area of your flash
button, then export the flash as a .swf and place onto the
dreamweaver page...

getURL("YOUR_DESIRED_PAGE.html","_self");
This will open the new html page in the same window. Hope

Hi Vincenzo,
As Dennis mentioned there is the LabVIEW built in Web Server for basic [static] http web serving. If you want to incorporate cgi [dynamic] functionality I strongly recommend you get the LabVIEW Internet Toolkit. It includes a webserver that can process cgi requests. For your interest, I have an online demo using this web server, you can control and view a VI through a web browser without having the LabVIEW Run Time Engine.

Submit Interactive Form using button on Wed Dynpro page instead of in PDF

Say I've a Web Dynpro page with an interactive form embedded. Is it possible to have on the page an HTMLB button, when clicked, submit the interactive form to an iView on EP? I haven't found any tutorials showing something like this. Please advice. Basically I need to make this adobe form/web dynpro app interact with the portal (passing the completed form to the portal)? any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks again.

I don't get your exact requirements.
What i get is, you want submit to SAP button outside the adobe forms and on the webdynpro page.
Yes, you can do this thing. Whenever webdynpro page has any events at that time whatever the values on the adobe form are reflected into the node which you have bound with the Interactiveform UI element.
So, you can place your button outside adobe form also.
Now, for "submit the interactive for to an iView or EP" I can't get exactly what you want. But i can say that you can manipulate your adobe form in code using pdfObject.
Check the SAP tutorial for manipulating pdfObject.

10 flash buttons each needin linking to seperate urls in html page

I have a group of 10 flash buttons build in flash as a single
flash element. I am using this in a html page however need each
button on the flash to link to a different htm url. For some reason
I cant make it work.
Could someone pease help me in how to do it. The webpage is
www.kids-active.co.uk and it is the buttons down the left hand
side.

"option b" will probably be your easiest solution...
using different symbols for each state:
Off - frame 1: off state of your button
Over - frame 2: animated version of your movieclip
Down - frame 3: down state of your button
Hit... etc.

Help. when I link html pages, they show up much larger in browser

Hello,
I designed 5 pages. When I look at them all through the browser individually in Dreamweaver CS4, they show up all correctly with a fixed width of 950.
The problem comes when I link my navigation buttons to the html pages. When I click onto the links to the pages in the browser, three out of five of the pages become large. Instead of a 950 pixel width, all the content becomes bigger to fit my browser on my 15 inch screen.
Can someone please help? I've been looking at this all day and need to get this done for a friend soon.
I have saved all my files as document relative in Dreamweaver cs4. I have also defined the target of each link as "self".

Perhaps you could jsut paste the html for one of yoru problematic pages here so we can see it, altho tht may not be enough to really tell.
The method you appear to have used to create the page is not the most desirable, but should have worked okay I would think. And such a table ought not typically be fluid unless you went out of yoru way to make it so, so not sure what is happening. Have to see the page.
Another option is to upload your page, and its associated assets (images, cs js files etc) to http://www.getdropbox.com/ i jsut learned about
this site recently on this forum and it seems a great idea for allowing us to see yoru page and help you. Far bettr than pasting yoru code here!

Jsp page calls javascript to be displayed in html page

I want to test if user is logged in or logged out and put the logic of it on the header of my static html page (tomcat, apache)
I would put .js code like this in my html header:

And if user is logged in then put link to LOGOUT dynamicaly.
I am using JSP page to check for logic login/logout:
