Use Cisco CUCM for outbound "call me at" feature on Lync meetings

I'm trying to find a step by step to enable users (non enterprise voice users) to use the dial me at feature in Lync conference meetings. I only want the user to have the ability to tell Lync to dial a number to place that number into the conference call,
the feature is easy to enable but i can't get the routing right between CUCM and Lync. I've looked all around the net but I can't seem to find anything that matches what i'm trying to do, other docs cover enterprise voice and that's out of my scope. Any assistance
here would be nice. Thanks

Hi,
In Lync Server 2010, it is not supported with “call me at” function for non-Enterprise Voice users.
However, Lync Server 2013 now allows participants that are not Enterprise Voice enabled to initiate dial-out calls from a meeting conference, called “Dial-out Conferencing for non-Enterprise Voice users”.
This can be configured by setting the Conferencing policy to allow this feature (Set-CSConferencingPolicy –AllowNonEnterpriseVoiceUsersToDialOut:$true). After enabling this, then assign a voice policy to the users who need the function.

  • UCCX HR Report for Outbound Calls

    Hi,
    We are using UCCX 9.0.
In Historical report we able to get the report for outbound call also.
The issue for the Outbound is calls which are not answered by the remote party There is also a call duration though the CUCM CDR shows zero seconds and the Agent Call Records in CAD shows the call and unanswered.
Because of this we are not able to identify the matured calls & non matured calls for the outgoing.
Is there anyway to capture unanswered outbound calls from Historical reports
    Thanks,
    Paul

I must say that I had similar problems with reports for outbound calls on our CC system...after some writings with TAC we concluded that reports for outbound calls in CC system are much more less informational versus inbound calls. So what I want to say is that probably your reporting is working fine and there is just no info for outbound calls which can be utilized and be usefull for you in your reports...

  • Another layout for outbound call in ICM 7.5

    Hello everyone,
If someone knows whether it is possible to make another layout which I have to present in CAD for outbound calls.
I have already used default layout and need another one for outbound calls.
Our contact cener is based on ICM 7.5 with IVR and CUCM.
    Thanks.

Use the default layout for outbound calls, and create a separate custom layout for all other types of calls.

  • DTMF doesn't work for outbound call

We currently using UC520 and having strange problem.  When we call through SIP for outbound call DTMF tone is not transmitting.  and if I press multiple numbers with longer duration, It makes continuous tone on the other hand.
My current dialpeer uses DTMF relay RTP- NTE.  I will attach sh run and debug ccsip message file.  please help me this is being quite critical.

Seems like your SIP Trunk Service provider is not getting the RFC2833 packets or not interpreting them correctly.
I see on the log that you pressed 1, 2 & 3 and the UC520 sends all these digits out (each digit will have 7 packets - this post explains how to read this debug - https://www.myciscocommunity.com/message/14045#14045). So I know its not the UC520 - below is a snip for digit 1

    In terms of next steps:
    - Is there any router or NAT or firewall device between the UC520 WAN interface and the SIP Trunk service provider? If so maybe good to check if you can bypass this device or if this device blocks RFC2833 packets
    - Ask the SIP Trunk SP what they see on their end for the RFC2833 packets - you can send them a wireshark capture off the UC500 WAN port if that is more convincing than a debug log. Who is the SP by the way?

  • How to get logs from CUCM for initiated calls

    Dears,
like in Voice Gateway for initiated calls we can run debugs command like debug voip ccapi inout to know the calling and the called number and the status of the call, matched dial-peer, ... etc
Can we do the same in CUCM
Thanks in advance for your help

CDR is used mainly for call statistics, it is not designed for detailed troubleshooting. Reading cucm logs requires a detailed understanding of how different components function and some practice. It can be a little daunting.

  • IPIVR for outbound call?

IPIVR seems be designed for handling inbound call. Is it possible that ipivr can handle scheduled outbound calls?
Or is there any products (cisco or others) for this functions?
    thanks first

You can make outbound calls from a script; however, they must be triggered by an external event. This is typically done by an HTTP trigger to the script which then makes an outbound call leg based on parameters provided through the HTTP trigger. I.E. your application server issues the HTTP trigger to IPIVR to make a call when the appropriate event occurs.
If you are looking for an outbound dialer, this is included in CCX Premium for the quantity of agents you purchase.

  • Dx650 - Just CUCM for video calling?

We have CUCM 10, running on a BE6K.  We just ordered some video endpoints (DX650).
Will person to person video calling work for users on our CUCM cluster?  I realize for external calling we need Cisco TelePresence Server/Cisco TelePresence Conductor/Expressway.  But I assume for internal phone to phone video we don't need anything?
And CUWL standard will be sufficient?
    Thanks, Bill

Point to point calling will work without any issues. You may need to have enhanced license as I believe it is seen as a telepresence device.

  • Decode Error in Cisco VCS for a call from Jabber to telyHD

    Hi,
    We have the following setup:
Cisco Jabber <---> Cisco VCS <---> telyHD (Our Video Product)
Now, the call works well when the call is intiated from telyHD to Cisco Jabber.
But, the call fails when the Cisco Jabber initiates the call towards telyHD.
The packet capture on VCS shows that there is a syslog message from VCS to Jabber indicating the following when 180 Ringing is received from telyHD:
    Message [truncated]: tvcs: Event="Decode Error" Service="SIP" Src-ip="10.1.1.19" Src-port="5060" Dst-ip="10.1.11.11" Dst-port="25331" Detail="(User-Agent) Single header User-Agent appeared twice in message" Protocol="TCP" Level="1" UTCTime
Can you please help in troubleshooting this issue. I don't see multiple "User-Agent" headers in the 180 Ringing sent by telyHD.
I have attached the packet capture on VCS.

I am also having the same issue.  Can someone please respond? Thanks.

  • Cisco SPA 112 outbound call issue.

Firstly, i applogize if i havent posted this in the correct section but this was my best educated guess.
Recently upgraded to a Cisco SPA 112 which works fine.. but only for a few days,
then If i try to call a number i get the dial tone but the number fails to
connect & all i hear is silence.  If i hang up the phone to retry it fails to
disconnect correctly and i get no dial tone for several minutes. After leaving the phone
hungup for a few mins the dail tone returns but the same problem is still present.
A hard/soft reset of the 112 fixes the issue temporarily, but reoccures again withinn a few days.

Im no expert and now at a loss and could do with some expert help tbh.

Dan, i will see how it goes over the next week or so with the updated F/W & shall report back, and thanks for the link as i wasnt sure how to save a syslog.
Should i set the verb as high as 6, or is that an over kill.
Gabriel, I have an FTP running on my sat receiver which i will attempt to use to catch the log, but as for the the "sipgate registration", when i loose conection my ata reports its still registered & the sipgate URL, isnt in real time as far as i can tell.
My ata would have normally shown its fault since my first post 6 days ago, but unfortunately a recent power cut has reset my testing period back to 1 day.

  • Is there a way to switch off by default the video on FaceTime? I only ever use this app for audio/calls and hate the video being on. I especially hate that if I leave the app open to receive calls it means the camera and green light are on.

My issue is that I can't find a way to have the camera switched off when the app is open and so this means if I want the app open all day to receive calls then the camera is going to be on the whole time. Even if it didn't potentially drain the battery, or add to the CPU usage or whatever else may cause any problems whatsoever (wheel of death!), I just don't want the camera on as I don't see myself ever wanting to use the video call feature but I would use the audio/call multiple times throughout the day to make and receive calls. The camera being on when the app is open is enough to prevent me from using the app. Also ever since seeing that episode of criminal minds where if you saw the green light on above the screen then it meant the killer was watching you!
Basically I just can't believe there isn't a way to disable the camera whilst having the app running. I know when initiating an audio call the camera goes away, but I would like the camera away the whole time. To me it just would make sense that if you click the video option then the camera is on, and if you click the audio option then the camera goes off. It just seems waaaaay to basic a thought for apple to have missed... Let's face it, we're not all as pretty as the people in the apple adverts and don't want to see our ugly mugs staring back as us when we work all day at our macs!

I have exactly the same concern. It seems it would be a simple fix for Apple to allow users to turn off the camera (and even the mic) while keeping FaceTime open -- especially now that it turns out FaceTime must remain open in order to send and receive iPhone calls on a Mac.
I like to think this new functionality of FaceTime will be baked into a future release of Yosemite, as the current setup has that not-quite-finished feel of a work in progress. In the meantime, there's nothing like a little piece of Post-It stuck over the camera to keep the NSA from watching your face as you type a post to the Apple Support Communities.

  • E90 - Use BT carkit for phone call, and wired link...

    Hello,
just bought an E90 and it works great.
on thing irritates the hell out of me though :-), i can't seem to get BT carkit (nokia CK7W) and a wired link (via the headphone jack) to my car stereo to work like i want it to.
when i plug in the wired link, the phones asks what i connected (headset or musicbox), so i select the last one, and it repsonse by telling it will use the phone microphone, so... nothing weird here yet (i think) but when i start making calls, no mather what i try, the audio gets send out via the wired link to my car stereo, which is no problem, expect, the Nokia Carkit mutes the speakers of the car stereo :-), so, i hear nothing.
does anybody know how to get the BT carkit to handle phone calls, and the wired link to handle music?
or do i need to get an BT connection to my car stereo for this (like the sony MBR-100)?
any suggestion would be very much appreciated.
    Joash

Various faults can occur that the customer doesn't think is their fault. Water can be spilled on the master  socket >due to the voltage on the contacts this causes a green verdigree to occur when the water dries up . This causes low insulation faults to occur. The phone plug when moving furniture can be pushed further into master socket damaging the contacts. And as said any fault further into the home is the responsibility of the home owner . A fault on an extension socket  or cable is chargeable due to carpet layers /electricians etc. Gone are the days of nationalisation  . The majority of the public voted for privatation because Post Office Telephones were always being heavily criticised for time delays. Now people are upset they have pay as BT is now a private company--You cant have it both ways. It was good of BT activating your line for free. Not always the case elsewhere.

  • Play a Prompt for outbound call

    Hi,
I have an application requirement as stated below:
    1) An external number is dialed by Cisco IPT user
2)Once the call is connected the user is given an option to play a pre configured prompt say "This is a call from MyTechnologies"
3)Once the IVR plays the prompt it should automatically drop out of the conference.
4)The two parties will continue talking to each other afterwards.
How can I achieve the above using CUAE.
    Regards
    Pranjol

I'm also interested in knowing how to play a prompt after a call has started and then the two parties keep talking:
    Something like:
Dial the number in the IP phone.
Play the prompt: "This call is being recorded"
Then talk: "Hello, how can I help... bla bla"
    Thanks in Advance,
