Use enterprise connection under proxy squid

I set server, port, user and pwd on the wifi setting in order to connect iphone on internet. It works with Safari and AppStore but not with other App.
To use Safari I have to type user and password even if already present in general setting, but it works.
How can I use the other App whereas not asking for username and password?

I have an application programmed in Labwindows/CVI 7.1 controlling an Electromagnetic Instrument.

Hi Mutha,
This functionality was a part of the orignal Internet Toolkit for CVI. However, the web server part of this was removed and isn't included in the Enterprise Connectivity Toolkit. You might consider using LabVIEW with the Remote Front Panel feature.

How to use App Store under proxy and firewall?

Greetings all,
We have an iPad which connects to Wifi with no problems. Under WiFi settings, I configure the Proxy HTTP manually.
I know that Youtube is blocked by a proxy. But iTunes and APP Store don't load without any apparent reason. Every other programs (Safari, Mail, Google Maps, etc...) load perfectly.
Ports 80 and 443 are open inside the proxy and firewall.
Through which protocols, ports or ip works APP Store/iTunes?

Desktop app store won't connect under proxy

My company recently instituted a corporate proxy and a few apps have been having difficulty with it. The app store is one of these. It just won't connect to anything - even the Help option just sits there "downloading latest help".
I have set up in my Network preference pane to connect HTTP and HTTPS to our proxy on port 80. Is there another port I need to set up here so the app store can connect as well?

Problem Developing Abap program to use Enterprise Service Client Proxy

Hi I am new to using Webservices but I have successfully created a Client Proxy to consume a web service. In the Abap Development Workbench and have created a Logical Port for it. The proxy works fine when I test it using F8.
However I do not seem to be calling it correctly from my program. When I run the program in debug no exception is generated but the return structure is empty.
The method call does not require any data in the input structure.
The code is as follows :

Unable to connect to the database instance using Enterprise Manager.

I just install Oracle 10gr2 in my computer and after successful installation created a database instance which also install successfully. I then configure the listener using Net Manager and then start the database instance, the listener and dbconsole, everything seems to work fine and checking the status of this services from the command prompt indicates everything started successfully. But when I try to use Enterprise Manager I was directed to the Database Down Page with a message unable to connect to database instance. I try to use startup and perform recovery but every time I log-in to the database an error message comes out:
SQLEXCEPTION
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-12705: Cannot access NLS data files or invalid environment specified.
It seems for Enterprise Manager to connect to the database it needs to access this NLS(National Language Support) data files or specify an environment variable to point to this data files. I am just new to Oracle and I am having difficulty solving this particular problem. Where is this data files located and how do I configure Enterprise Manager to access this NLS data Files?
Any help however small will be highly appreciated.

What Operating System are you using?
Assuming Windows, can you RUN regedit to open Windows Registry and check the value or NLS_LANG when you select
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\KEY_<your_oracle_home>

Unable to connect using Enterprise Manager

I have Oracle 9.2 installed on w2000 server and it was working fine when I use isqlplus and sqlplus. However, after I type in the userID:SYS and password to expand the tree of the database when I use Enterprise Manager , it gives me the error ORA-12520. I got the same error when trying to create DSN in ODBC driver configuration.

Solution:
I ran into the same problem. You have to first create a password file. Run
orapwd file=<fname> password=<password> entries=<users>
The file will usually be in the dbs by default. You may have to play with the file name. I had to make it orapwd in dbs to make it recognize correctly.
Next you need to modify your startup parameter for your instance to use the remote_login_passwordfile='shared' or 'exclusive'
Set it to exclusive if you have only one instance or shared if you have multiple instances. I had to use the pfile and start the instance with that. Just rename your spfile and type 'sql>create pfile from spfile' and then edit it. Set your parameter and restart your instance. The do 'sql>create spfile from pfile' to make your spfile again. Now you should be able to connect as sys remotely from sql or OEM!!!

In addition to creating the password file, you must also set the initialization parameter REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE to the appropriate value. The values recognized are described as follows:
Value Description
NONE
Setting this parameter to NONE causes Oracle to behave as if the password file does not exist. That is, no privileged connections are allowed over non-secure connections. NONE is the default value for this parameter.
EXCLUSIVE
An EXCLUSIVE password file can be used with only one database. Only an EXCLUSIVE file can contain the names of users other than SYS. Using an EXCLUSIVE password file allows you to grant SYSDBA and SYSOPER system privileges to individual users and have them connect as themselves.
SHARED
A SHARED password file can be used by multiple databases. However, the only user recognized by a SHARED password file is SYS. You cannot add users to a SHARED password file. All users needing SYSDBA or SYSOPER system privileges must connect using the same name, SYS, and password. This option is useful if you have a single DBA administering multiple databases.

Cannot Connect using Enterprise Manager

The details of the Oracle 9i Server 9.2.0.1.0 are as follows:
IP: 172.25.22.78
SID: MSPD
Port 1521
I am trying to connect to this server using enterprise manager but i get the "ORA-12543: TNS:destination host unreachable" Error.
However I am able to ping the server successfully.
When I try the command telnet 172.25.22.78 1521 I get an error "Could not open connection to Host, on port 1521; connect failed."
What could be the reason?

No TNSPING 172.25.22.78 1521 did not work
Can you connect via sqlplus?
No. The net service mspd_172.25.22.78 is configured in the Net Manager.
It fails when I test it from Net manager as well as SQL Plus
The server is in Boston.
This problem is only occuring when we are accessing the server from Mumbai.
My team from Cincinatti is able to connect to the server.
ping, tnsping, sqlplus, telnet are all successful for them.
When i contacted the Network team in mumbai they had a look at the Trace route of the IP and declared that there is no firewall from our side that is blocking the communication. They asked me to contact the client to see if the server port they provided is correct and is open for access.
Could it be that the client put up a firewall that allows access from cincinatti office but not mumbai? (all tests from cinci - pass, all tests from mumbai except ping fail).
Is it possible that Cinci team can access port 1521 but from mmumbai we have to give another port which is reverse mapped to port 1521?

Even bandwidth and latency of RTMFP are minimum. FMS Enterprise may still need to monitor each peer when using RTMFP connections.
So can I use the connection capacity of FMIS to estimate the FMS Enterprise?

Smokerz was suggesting that you temporarily bring the Express upstairs, connect it & configure it, and then take it back down stairs again.
As for your desired setup:
Actually, if configured correctly, your Time Capsule should the source of your network and the Express should be the devise joining/extending it. This is the way I have it set up. However, you seem to want to configure it the other way around. Not very practical.

Migration Tool - using a connection with a proxy

Hi,
my connection to Internet is via a proxy. How can I configure Migration Tool to use that proxy? Is it possible?
Otherwise, the error message is: An error occured while connecting to Oracle CRM On Demand Server.
I've done a test with a direct connection (no proxy) to Internet and it works, but unfortunately I need to use a proxy.
Has anyone done this already?

I have folder on my server that my ssis package needs to get into. I have an excel file that I am connecting to using Excel Connection Manager. My ssis package is unable to connect to the folder. How do I get this to work. Thank you

I am not sure how the folder is protected with username and password, Are you talking about folder is at restricted access and rest it ask you to punch window credential. In that case you need to run the ssis package with account which have access to that
folder or use a proxy account to run under.
If it protected from third party software then it need to decrypted by that third party software only. SSIS won;t be able to help here.

I don't find any description, how is use Enterprise Services with SAP PI for my IT-Scenario.
Actual situation:
I import the XI-Content (there is the Service Interface to use for the ES) in the Enterprise Service Repository (SAP PI 7.1), copied the Service Interfaces and all dependence Objects in my own Software-Compoment.
My Question:
What i should doing to config in my sap ERP ECC 6.0 with the Enterprise Service to connect with SAP PI 7.1?
Maybe ABAP-Proxies?

Once you build Service Interface in PI, you need to generate PROXY in back end ERP system using SPROXY. After that you need to implement the Proxy Class Method by writing glue code using SE80. Establishing Enterprise Users Under OracleAS 10gR3

I'm interested in establishing 10gR2 database users as “Schema-Independent Global Users” as identified in the Database Administrators Guide. The reason for this is that our web-based application currently uses the “One Big Application User Approach” of logging into the database, which is inherently bad for database auditing (among other things). I’d like to switch to the “Proxy Authentication Integrated with Enterprise User Security” method as discussed in the Oracle Database Security Guide 10g Release 2 (10.2). It’s the “Enterprise User Security” aspect that I need some guidance on. 
The Database Enterprise User Administrator's Guide 10g Release 2 (10.2) (last released in June 2005) talks about how to establish “Enterprise Users” in an OID that includes an identity management realm. It also states that “OracleAS SSO must be installed and configured to authenticate enterprise user security administrators when they log in to the Enterprise Security Manager Console, an element of Enterprise Security Manager.” So, essentially this document covers how to establish and administer Enterprise Users under OracleAS10g (9.0.4). 
I'm interested in using OracleAS 10gR3 10.1.4.0.1 but it looks like Oracle has moved the Identity Management pieces (OID, SSO, Certificate Authority, etc.) around from R2 (OracleAS Infrastructure Installation) to R3 and introduced "Oracle Identity Management". 
What specifically do I download under OracleAS 10gR3 (OracleAS or Identity Managment) and if it's OracleAS what type of install would be required to end up with the required OID and SSO components?.

Thanks Martin. The repackaging of the identity management pieces (OID, SSO, DAS, etc.) under OracleAS 10gR3 (as compared to versions prior to 10gR3) threw me for a loop. I was looking for these pieces in the OracleAS 10gR3 download at:

and those pieces aren't in that distribution any longer.
