Use Graphic style library for commercial use

Hi,
I just need to clarify if those images/background from the adobe illustrator library can be used as it is(without editing at all) for commercial purpose e.g... in games/ poster/advertisement?
Will there be copyright issues on the image or I have to do some editing to whats given by Ai before it can be used commercially?

I just need to clarify if those images/background from the adobe illustrator library can be used as it is
Yes.

  • Can i use free VMWare ESXi for commercial use.?

    Hi,
I know that this question have come up before but I can't find any
definitive answers. Can i use free VMWare ESXi for commercial use. We
    would like to host
several customers on a machine running  VMWare ESXi. I want a clear answer so we can do it without any further discussion.
    Thank you all in advance,
    LNN

If you plan on renting out a VM, then you need to look at the hosting programs - http://www.vmware.com/solutions/hosting/index.html.   The base EULA for ESX and ESXi do not allow for the rental of VMs but I believe it may be possible to get an exemption to that.

VMware grants you a nonexclusive, non-transferable license, without rights to sublicense, to  install or have installed a single instance of the Software and each Licensed Additional Module on a single Server, unless permitted to have multiple instances on a single Server or to have multiple instances on multiple Servers by the payment of applicable license fees (whether such fees are based on a per Processor, a per Virtual Machine, a per user or any other VMware approved licensing model); (ii) use the Software and each Licensed Additional Module solely for information processing and computing purposes, including the hosting of computer application-based services from a Virtual Machine and provision of such services via an internal or external network, provided such services may not consist of services to a third party that provide primarily computing or processing power (such as utility computing or grid computing) or any computer application-based service that is traded, rented, leased or sold on a Virtual Machine basis; and (iii) use and reproduce the VMware Virtual Infrastructure Client Software or VMware WebAccess (in object code form only) for the purposes of installation and operation on an unlimited number of your own internal computers or terminals solely for the purpose of accessing the Server on which the Software is installed.

  • Is it possible to use Apple's fonts for commercial use?

Is it possible to use Apple's fonts for commercial use?
    Thank you very much.

Here's a look at the font agreement section from OS X Mountain Lion:
    E. Fonts. Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, you may use the fonts included with the Apple Software to display and print content while running the Apple Software; however, you may only embed fonts in content if that is permitted by the embedding restrictions accompanying the font in question. These embedding restrictions can be found in the Font Book/Preview/Show Font Info panel.
So basically, you need to examine the fonts to see if there are notes on usage restrictions or limitations.

  • Are iMovie 10's songs and trailers made using their template available for commercial use?

I am wondering if these are allowed for commercial use. If I have a trailer that was made with iMovie 10's trailer template and contains a song from the iMovie 10 program, can I use this commercially?

I know I've heard some of those Jingles on promos companies play on PBS. I can't tell you the name of the one that comes up. Another time I've heard one on a pharmaceutical advert. But I cannot answer the legal question if you can use the canned jingles for commercial purposes. I don't know if the Apple End User License Agreement for iMovie covers commercial uses of the jingles.

  • Use iMovie on iOS for Commercial Use

I am a real estate agent who wants to use the iOS version of imovie for home tours and publish them on my website. This would be consider commercial use and just wanted to konw if I will run into any trouble if I use iOS imovie in this manner. I did read over the licese and it seems I am not allowed to use any Audio content. But I just wondered if you are allowed to use the program to edit and for its texts and transitions for commercial purposes. I can always use the royal free music youtube provides for the music, but just wanted to see if I was ok with using it to create for commercial movies and clips...Thanks

    Welcome to the club.  :-)
The iPad is not as powerful as a Mac, and they cannot share software, as they have different operating systems.
There are two versions of iMovie available, one for Macs and an app for iPads. Their capabilities are different.  Do your research. :-)

  • How I claim my video to use my Adobe softwares for commercial use on Youtube?

    Hi,
I would like make video tutorial on Youtube and I am enable for add advertising on my video with adsense. Basically, I need claim my video and say YouTube I can use my software for commercial use in my video. I need this help because Youtube is very strict for add advertising.
My question is what do I have to write for my video to claim I can use my softwares (Creative Suite Production PremiumCS5.5) in my video for a tutorial?
Here is the picture when I need claim my video on YouTube.
    Thanks you

You are being asked if  you have the rights to the content you are publishing. That is all.
If you are using Copywrite content it is not allowed unless you have the rights or a license to use it. For instance if you create music for the background is it your music, or someone elses? If it is someone else's,  you cannot use it unless you have the right or license too do so. Your images are they open source or did you create them? Or did you rip them from the net? IF the latter you cannnot use.... Does not matter if you are using pirated, or stolen software (although frowned upon, and NOT recommned) to create your content
    Hope that was clear.

  • Licensing XML libraries for commercial use...

After reading the license terms for the XML parser for 'C', I am confused. The license document embedded in the download package, says you need to contact Oracle to license the library for commercial use. However, the click-wrap license for the OTN says you can use the technologies in commercial products. These totally contradict each other. I called Oracle and asked the following question, and after talking with 3 people, nobody knew a difinitive answer.
Here is the question: If I use the Oracle XML parser for 'C' library in the construction of a commercial application that I am selling, do I need purchase a license from Oracle to do this? If so, who do I contact?
    Thanks,
    - Ted

It doesn't matter to me as much that the two agreements are different. What I am most concerned with is that BOTH say that I cannot build commercial/for-sale products using the kit without paying for a license. Who do I contact to get a license to use?
I called the number on the agreement and spoke to people who had no idea what I was talking about, nor who I could talk to.
Also, since you asked, I have attached the two different sections from the two license agreements below.
    Thanks,

  • Spry 1.6 for commercial use

Hi, Can I use the Spry 1.6 prerelease for commercial use?
    Spry seems like
    The BSD
    license.
    However,
    the adobe labs
    license claims
    quote:
IF THE SOFTWARE IS A PRE-RELEASE VERSION, then,
notwithstanding anything to the contrary included within a license
agreement accompanying the software, you are not permitted to use
or otherwise rely on the software for any commercial or production
    purpose.
Does that means you cannot use Spry 1.6 for commercial use?
If so, can I get the non-prerelease older version (1.5 etc) from
    somewhere?

    Hi,
    That is a little confusing.
We have been distributing Spry under the BSD license, meaning
to allow users to use the files as they please, commercial or
    otherwise.
This is how it has been since the first version.
I can look into the disparity between these licenses but i
think you can feel assured that it is ok to use Spry for commercial
apps. Many people do so already.
The Spry team thinks of 'pre-release' as: "There is a small
chance that we might change functionality, due to bugs or better
implementation" but we are pretty stable now and the core ideas of
    Spry are pretty solid.
    Hope this helps,

  • Premiere Elements for commercial use

Can I use Premiere Elements 12 for commercial use , like videos I make for training modules that I sell?
I looked in the EULA and buried in section 16.14 and 16.15 is reference to non-commercial use due to encoder patents.  But nowhere is a straight forward yes or no for commercial use.
Thanks for anyone that knows about this

    You are most welcome.
Going way back, Adobe once had a restriction on material produced with the academic versions (like Student & Teacher editions) of some of its programs. I do not recall the exact timing, but would say that they relaxed that restriction about 10 years ago.
Also, as Neale points out, the PrE Projects are not X-platform, but if one considers the Mac and the PC, they can output files (from the PrE Project) that ARE X-platform, for delivery. I am not exactly sure how you are referring to X-platform, but if the intent is to edit a Project between a Mac and a PC, then Neale's caveat will be very important. Though the Project file (PREL) looks the same (basically an XML database file), they are significantly different, that a PREL from a Mac, will not Open on a PC. For delivery of a finished AV file (your instructional video, in this case), if one selects say AVCHD (H.264 CODEC) for the output, that file will be viewable on both a Mac and a PC, so long as each computer has a viable version of the H.264 CODEC installed, and most will, or the user can add it. It's the same with most MOV files - so long as the PC has Apple's QuickTime Player installed. When you get to the point of delivery, do not hesitate to stop back, if you need a bit more input from the forum. Some of us have both a Mac and a PC (Steve Grisetti, for instance), but many more are tasked with X-platform delivery quite often.
    Good luck, and happy editing,
    Hunt

    Hello deadean,
We suggest that you post your question in the

    The

  • Problem with Batch Processing an Action using a Graphic Style Library

    Hi,
I have ~100 files in which I need to change the fill and stroke of all the linework. I created Graphic Styles for all my new features. I then created an Action that sets a fill and stroke color, Select Same Fill and Stroke, then applies the new Graphic Style. This repeats for about 20 variations (ie; select all Fill=X, Stroke=Y, then apply Graphic Style A. Select all Fill=X2, Stroke=Y2 then apply Graphic Style B). It runs fine in my test file. The problem occurs when I try to run it in batch mode. I have my new Graphic Style Library set to Persistent, so that it is open for every file. But the action does not apply the new Graphic Styles. It's like it doesn't see/read the Graphic Style Library. I don't get any errors, the action completes. It just doesn't apply anything.
Does anybody know what I am doing wrong? Are you not able to use an action to apply a graphic style from an added Library?  Do I need to add the graphic styles to the Graphic Styles Panel and have the action reference the Panel, not the Library?
Any help or insight is appreciated.
    M

    Try this:
Copy an item that has the Graphic Style to the clipboard before starting the action. Then put a paste step followed by a delete step at the start of the action.
    Hope that helps.

  • Why does the terms for logic say we cant run these programs for commercial use

question i have regarding the terms for garage band and logic terms where is says just under section 2 it says ((i) to download, install, use and run for personal, non-commercial use, one (1) copy of the Apple
Software directly on each Apple-branded computer running OS X (“Mac Computer”) that you
    own or control; and)
im not sure if it means i cant use garage band or logic to produce music for clients for commercial use ?
    check it out here
    http://images.apple.com/legal/sla/docs/LogicPro.pdf
    http://images.apple.com/legal/sla/docs/GarageBand.pdf

Section C/2/A/(ii) of the Logic Pro document says:
if you are a commercial enterprise or educational institution, to download, install, use and run
one (1) copy of the Apple Software for use either: (a) by a single individual on each of the Mac Computer(s) that you own or control, or (b) by multiple individuals on a single shared Mac Computer that you own or control.
    and section C/2/B says:
The Apple Software may contain sample content including but not limited to artwork, audio files, audio loops, built-in sound files, graphics, images, impulse responses, photographs, samples, sound sets, sound settings, video files, or similar assets (“Sample Content”). This Sample Content is proprietary to Apple and/or its licensors, and is protected by applicable intellectual property and other laws, including but not limited to copyright. Except as otherwise provided, all Sample Content included in the Apple Software may be used on a royalty-free basis to create your own original soundtracks for your film, video and audio projects. You may broadcast and/or distribute your own soundtracks that were created using the Sample Content, however, individual Sample Content assets may not be commercially or otherwise distributed on a standalone basis, nor may they be repackaged in whole or in part as audio samples, clipart, music beds, sound effects, sound files, sound libraries, stock animation, or similar assets.
    (my emphasis).
All this would seem to cover you for the use you propose (this is not a legal opinion). GarageBand is presumably similar.

how can I use my itunes library for iphoto slideshow?

    Here's a possible workaround:
Create the slideshow in Iphoto and add a theme and music.
Install Picasa  and it will include the slideshow on it's indexed list.
Upload the slideshow to PicasaWebAlbums and send the link to anyone you wish.
The music and theme is preserved.
Caveat: My playback pictures appear darker than usual but that could be just lousy photography...:)

  • HT1660 how can I use one single library for all users on the same laptop?

how can I use one single library for all users on the same laptop?

You are most of the way there. Each user having access to hard drive is the key. If users are limited in file privileges this is harder.
Any files you add to your library and any files she adds to her library are available to the other. Just not automatically. Each user must add the files to their own library using the add file or add folder option from menu bar.
What I have done is set library location to a location outside of My Documents\My Music. On my network storage I have a folder names s:\itunes. Both accounts iTunes are set to use this location for the library.
