Use Jdev 11h to deploy app on OAS 10.1.2 (front-end) and Jboss (back-end)

Hi,
I have a JBoss AS to deploy the buisness services (spring + hibernate) and a OAS 10.1.2 to deploy the WUI (ADF faces).
I would like also use the ADF Model layer.
In summary:
view: ADF faces 11g on OAS 10.1.2
model: ADF Model layer on both servers
buisiness model: hibernate + spring + webservices on Jboss AS
It's possible do that with Jdev 11g ?

I have figured out that if I do a hard restart of the phone the apps will work for a time, but then they begin to all freeze up again after a short time.
This may be a problem of not enough free storage. Have you checked the storage used by your apps?

Music app forgets which song I was currently on and goes back to a previous track played several songs ago.

I believe this issue may be reverting to this specific track several songs ago because that was the last time I had my music app specifically open/unlocked.
This has happened a couple of times now but I'll describe the last time.
I was checking the current song playing by opening the music app (unlocking the ipod and loading the music app specifically)
The ipod then played several songs after that (about 5-6 songs after the one I last checked)
I unplugged my ipod from the car, continued to use it at home but not playing any music. (I didn't respring or power off/on)
The next morning I plug the ipod into the car and it's back to the song that was playing 5-6 songs ago the previous day. I have to hit next track several times to pick up where I left off.
I'm used to the ipod forgetting specifically what place it was in the song I was last playing if I use it for non-music functions inbetween using it for music, but now it's going back several songs prior to where I last left off.
The only thing different with my ipod lately is I upgraded my firmware to 6.1 after doing a restore and restoring from back up.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings

I am experience a recurring, annoying problem. When i touch an icon to enter an ap, very often while i am using that ap, all of a sudden i am kicked out of it and am back in the icon screen. What is goingnon , does anyone else have this experience?

If it's happening on all apps that you've downloaded, but not on the Apple built-in apps, then try downloading any free app as that appears to reset something - you can then re-try your apps, and you can delete the free app.
If it's only happening on one or two apps then try closing them completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with any of the affected apps 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the apps to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Have you tried closing the iTunes store app via your phone's multitasking bar and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? Double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the iTunes app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it (you could also close any other apps that appear there), and click the home button to close the taskbar.

Iphone will sync/manage music with one computer at a time.
If you sync/manage with another, it will erase the current content from the iphone.
Put everything on one computer and sync to that computer.

Out of nowhere, certain apps or programs are closing right after opening and going back to home page...any ideas?

Try downloading another app - any free app. It seems to reset something and can help with this issue.
If that doesn't work close all apps and restart.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't work, reset the iPad.

Unable to deploy ADF app from Jdev 10.1.3.3 to OAS 10.1.3.1

I'm deploying my app from JDev 10.1.3.3 to OAS 10.1.3.1. And it is driving me crazy, my application is a J2EE ADF application. When I try to deploy I'm getting the following errors: I've tried everything during days, but still I'm not able to run it :(. The application is working fine in Jdeveloper

Did you deploy the ADF 10.1.3.3 libraries to the 10.1.3.1 app server? An alternative might be to apply the 10.1.3.3 patch to the 10.1.3.3 app server.

Why I cannot connect to database after deploying application to OAS?

Hello experts...i have a new problem and here are the facts:
I`m using on Windows Xp:
Oracle Database 10.2.0
Oracle Application Server 10.1.3
Oracle Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3
I`m creating a new application using jdeveloper and i`m using 2 connection classes:
a) First connection class using:
InitialContext ctx=new InitialContext();
DataSource ds=ctx.lookup("jdbc/connDS");
Connection conn=ds.getConnection();
b) Second connection class using:
Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:and the entire link goes here");
So far so good, but when I create a ear file using the First connection class and after i deploy it to OAS my application will not connect anymore to database!
If I will use the Second connection class, and create an ear file then deploy it to OAS, my application works fine, it connects to database but i have a problem. In my application users can upload and download the files they uploaded. The files are saved in DB as blob. The problem appears when users are downloading the files because for example file "example.doc" is uploaded on the server database and when a user try to download it the name of the file is like "example_doc" and my pc open it like an html in which is a server 500 error. Someone told me that happens because of my connection class... and I want to find out you`re opinion.
Why i cann`t connect to DB after deploy the application on OAS using the FIRST connection class?
- on Jdeveloper i can connect to DB using both of the connect classes (one at a time)
- I`m creating a war file from jdeveloper and deploy the ear file on the OAS
- on OAS i`ve created the connection pool and the data source and "The connection was establish succesfully"
Why the uploaded files are downloaded in this way? it`s the connection the problem?
- I want to tell you that when i`m extracting data from the DB table i`m not using a temp file, the conversion is made in the java class and the program throws me the file to download.
- as i told you in Jdeveloper both of the connection classes work!!! and when i`m using the FIRST connection class and try to download, the files ARE DOWNLOADED PERFECTLY CORRECT!
- if i`m using the SECOND connection class in jdeveloper, running the application on the built in oc4j instance and trying to download the same files, the files are DOWNLOADED BAD like I told you: the name of the file is like "example_doc" and my pc open it like an html in which is a server 500 error. with the pdf format is the same problem but my pc cannot open it telling something with "bad conversion...." error.
There are someone who had the same problem?
Theoretically i had to make the application to connect to the database after deploy it to OAS with the FIRST connection class and this way my files will be downloaded corectly... what to do?

1) In BPEL call the DBAdapter in a sequence, make sure you set the partnerlink 'property' to transaction=participate.
2) Or create a package that calls the other packages in a sequence

Hint: Beware when using JDev 10.1.3 EA to deploy to 10.1.2 App server!!

I've struggled a bit with deploying a War packaged application from JDev 10.1.3 to a version 10.1.2 Application Server, and since I've encountered loads of messages in the various forums talking about "Http -'something' when trying to deploy through Ant using the DCM servlet, or running the deployment profile from JDev, I'd like to give you the following hint:
JDev 10.1.3 is currently built for using the 10.1.3 App server! Therefore it will also generate artifacts according to the new J2EE standard, which means that the various .xml configuration files generated uses xml schema instead of DTD!!
And since the 10.1.2 App server doesn't tolerate xml schema references in the config files....... well..... you end up with a Http -'something' as return value from the DCM servlet!
Another Hint: You have to package your War in an Ear structure if deploying through Ant and the DCM servlet(called by using the oc4j_remote_deploy.jar), although you can deploy the exact same war file when using the dcmctl batch file from a command line succesfully! (it apparently does the Ear packaging including automatic 'application.xml' generation for you)

there does not seem to be an ADF Runtime Installer with JDev 10.1.3ea so none of the 10.1.3 libraries/code would be on the application server. I wonder if it would work if the ADF runtime installer was included in the EA release and it was run on the 10.1.2 AS???

JDev 11g for deployment to OAS 10.1.2?

Our shop runs an Oracle App Server (10.1.2) and has been using JDeveloper for the last few years. While researching the latest release (11g) we noticed our app server is not listed as one that is supported. Does this mean we should steer clear of the newest version of JDev entirely until our app server can be upgraded to at least 10.3?

My apologies for not being more specific. We are predominantly using Struts, however some of our newer apps are being built using the JSF framework. There is also interest in building up our catalog of Web Services offered. We have not been using the ADF for any of our projects nor do we intend to (at least in the immediate future). Unfortunately we have no say in the version of our app server (or version of Java for that matter). My biggest concern is building/testing an app on an embedded WebLogic server and deploying to something different.
