Use list backupset command
Dear all,
I am using command "list backupset" to see my backup piece, however the list is too long. Is there any functions to see it properly?
Amy
Hi Amy,
< list backup set summary; >
or
< list backup set completed after 'sysdate -2';
Give a smaller output.
You could also use sql against the v$backup_piece in the target.

Tycho

is it possible to list the backupsets by date?
Is there any command in RMAN?
thanksYou could use something like this:
RMAN> list backupset completed between '10-DEC-2002' AND '17-DEC-2002';http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/backup.102/b14192/bkup007.htm#i1035423ž
, but ordering backupset information by date( completition time ) is maybe better to do from [v$backup_set|http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/dynviews_1043.htm] view. -
How can I use custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in Weblogic
Hi There,
I'm trying to view and search the weblogic log files using WLST on a Solaris/Unix system.
I have come across this "custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite" and thought of using the custom logging commands to get my task done.
However, my WLST shell is not recognizing the commands and giving me the NameError!
wls:/devDomain1/domainRuntime> listLogs()
Traceback (innermost last):
File "<console>", line 1, in ?
NameError: listLogs
I tried the commands listLogs, displayLogs, getLogLevel & setLogLevel but in vain!
I have followed the instructions as per the oracle recommendation of using Custom WLST commands (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29597_01/core.1111/e10105/getstart.htm#ASADM10692) as below
- Launched the WLST shell from Oracle Home.
cd ORACLE_HOME/common/bin
./wlst.sh
- Tried to run the listLogs command from domainRuntime()
I would like to know if I need to import any additional libraries to run the custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in my WLST shell?
I have only weblogic 10.3.1 server installed on my Solaris 10 machine on which I have deployed the OSB application software.
There is no SOA Suite installed.
Or is there any other way I can browse the Server Log file and get the list of log messages? Basically I would like to use this feature in my script to customize it according to my requirement of listing specific error logs which I can work it out if I know how to make these commands work.
Please advise if this is possible and how?
Cheers.
SatishI have tried on my OSB installation (no SOA Suite here), the command listLogs() works (I was in online mode, after a connect), and the classpath is:

CA Forum: Exporting
Greetings forum members,
My question is, in its entirety: Can a single report (rpt file) create multiple PDF files using the export command, ideally one PDF file per DB record?
In my case; I have a Crystal Report that reads data from a DB table containing ~ 500 records. When I export the report to a PDF file, I get one PDF file, with ~ 500 pages.
What I would like to do is export the report to ~ 500 individual PDF files; One file per DB record. The file names would be based on the table's primary key.
Is this possible?Post Author: Micha
CA Forum: Exporting
Hi,
you need some lines of code, but its easy. Dependend on how to start the generation of your 500 PDFs, you can write an ASP page and start it via Web Browser, or a Windows Script and start it via scheduled job...
Here's an abstract of the ASP code I use:
First, you create a recordset (here: "rsc") which gives you the list of ID fields you want to export, then you create CrystalRuntime.Application object, then you loop through the recordset, open your report (here: "oRpt") and set login info. Then set the selectionformula, so that the report displays only the data of the current ID, e.g.:
oRpt.RecordSelectionFormula = "(" & oRpt.RecordSelectionFormula & ") AND {myTab.myVal}=" & rsc("myVal")
Then you export the report, move to the next record in recordset, and repeat the loop until recordset.EOF. Then you close recordset and connection.

Function Module to identify Where-Used list
Hi All,
Is any one aware of any Function Module(s) to identify where-used list of any given Info Object(s).
I would like to use this in an ABAP Report.
I do not want to use RSD1/metadata repository way.
I was thinking of a way to write multiple selects on the various tables (RSZELTTXT, RSZELTDIR, RSZSELECT...) to get ELTUID/TELTUID/SELTUID..., but that seems to get very lengthy.
Have already checked a few posts but they only indicate the queries/Cubes in which a given IO is used, where as I am interested in all BW objects where a given IO is used.
Thanks in advance,
Sanny.hi Sanny2 ,
try this method... this will surely help
if you want to know how where used list works then follow the steps.
1 ) open tcode se11
2) enter table name (example...MARA)
3) go to command window (where you often use to enter tcode ... Enter Tcode /h - which is debug switch on)
4) select any field (example .. MATNR)
5) press where used list button.
6) you can navigate to source code (debugger mode)
7 ) follow steps and trace the code HOW WHERE USED WORK,
hope this helps
let me know if useful

How to make a list of commands
Hi,
I am making a VI to control a pump. I can communicate now with the pump ( thanks to you guys) but my promotor wants an easy acces list of commands to use on the front panel. For example RV00000900 is a command that is send to the pump an agrees with Run mode at 0.9 ml/ min. My promotor just wants a tab to choose the mode ( the pump can work in dispense mode or Constant Run mode) and a command-control to enter the flowrate. How can i make Run mode agree with RV00Make a Enum with the different commands and you'll have a nice list of commands. Make a control with which to control the speed. Place a Send command-boolean and in it's event you'll build your command from the other two controls and send it.

*when we use at user -command and give smaple code fro at user-command*
Hi experts,
i am new to abap can any body tell me when we use AT USER-COMMAND and give a sample code for that.
point will be rewarded.
thanks.Hi,
AT USER-COMMAND is a list Event.This Event is triggered when user make an action on the Application Toolber Or Menubar.
Here is the Program.
START-OF-SELECTION.
SET PF-STATUS 'TEST'.
WRITE: 'Basic list, SY-LSIND =', sy-lsind.
AT LINE-SELECTION.
WRITE: 'LINE-SELECTION, SY-LSIND =', sy-lsind.
AT USER-COMMAND.
CASE sy-ucomm.
WHEN 'TEST'.
WRITE: 'TEST, SY-LSIND =', sy-lsind.
ENDCASE.
This program uses a status TEST, defined in the Menu Painter.
Function key F5 has the function code TEST and the text Test for demo.
Function code TEST is entered in the List menu.
The function codes PICK and TEST are assigned to pushbuttons.
The user can trigger the AT USER-COMMAND event either by pressing F5 , or by choosing List -> Test for demo, or by choosing the pushbutton 'Test for demo'.The user can trigger the AT LINE-SELECTION event by selecting a line.
Hopr This Will help You.

Problems with Partition pruning using LIST option in 9i
I am declaring the following partitions on a fact table and when
I do an explain plan on the following SELECT statements it is
doing a full table scan on the fact table. However if I use
the "PARTITION" statement in the FROM clause it picks up the
correct partition and runs great. I have used the analyze
command and dbms_utility.analyze_schema command on all tables
and indexes. I had simaliar problems when partitioning with the
RANGE options too. I have looked through all of the INIT file
parameters and don't see anything obvious. Is there something I
am missing?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Bryan

I'm using this command string:

id_customer_unified = '123' and start_validity_date = TO_DATE('09-SET-09', 'DD-MON-RR');

I think that is impossible to use a PARTITION/SUBPARTITION like that: in fact the update of "END_VALIDITY_DATE" cause a partition change.
Do u agree or it's possible an update on a field that implies a partition change?
Regards Steve -
I was wondering what is the correct way to use the boot command.
If an image is installed on every switch in the stack, should each switch load it's own image or just the Masters image? Or, does it really matter if they are really the same image. But, if a switch in the stack dies for whatever reason then if there were 8 switches in the stack, number 8 would become 7 and it would have a incorrect boot statement as there wouldn't be a switch 8 anymore. Since flash: will always exist in the stack wouldn't it be better to use flash: in the boot statement?
For instance:
Switch 8
BOOT path-list : flash8:/c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-2.SE/c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-2.SE.bin
or
Switch 8
BOOT path-list : flash:/c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-2.SE/c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-2.SE.bin
Thank you - PatThanks for the response Jody
Just so I understand -
you are saying that each switch should be configured to boot from flash: rather than flash:# in the switch stack?
So, no matter what the number switch a switch is in the stack, it's individual boot statement should be flash:Image
Hope that is clear - Pat -
Lists of commands???
I am new to java and I was wondering if there was a list of commands and what each of the commands do. For example, System.out.println()-prints a statement on the screen. I know there is probably a lot of commands, but if anyone knows of a place where I could maybe look at a few of them, will you please let me know???
Thanx!Java is a programming language. System.out.println() is not just a simple command. Its a static method call. JAVA has specific syntax to use. So I suggest learning about Programming in general and then focus on Java. Here is a link
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/java/index.html
Here is the Jdk1.4 Api as well

I am using the following commands.
RMAN> sql "alter session set nls_date_format=''dd-mon-yyyy HH24:MI:SS''";
2> report unrecoverable database;
3> report need backup days 2 database;
4> list backup;
5> EXIT;
BS Key Type LV Size Device Type Elapsed Time Completion Time------- ---- -- ---------- ----------- ------------ ---------------

BP Key: 6249547 Status: AVAILABLE Tag: TAG20101025T040741
Even after setting nls_date_format, completion time in list backup command is not returning exact time..it is returning just the date..
how to get completion time in RMAN LIST BACKUP COMMAND with hour,minute and second details...please let me know
I am using catalog database...target database version 9i and catalog db version is 10g.
Thanks,

ThanksHi Avi,
The guide is for OL6 (see excerpt from page 5)
"A compute node is a system running Oracle Linux using KVM, or Oracle VM Server Release 3.3. You can download
installation ISOs of the latest version of Oracle Linux 6, or Oracle VM Server Release 3.3, from the Oracle Software
Delivery Cloud at:"
And although 1.0 release says OL6.5 and later I cannot find the OL7 pacakges on the public yum server. The only ones I can find are http://public-yum.oracle.com/public-yum-openstack-ol6.repo which is clearly OL6. I tried them on OL7 and the install fails.

If you have an Oracle Openstack install running I'd love to hear how you did it and what you did to accomplish it.
Right now I'm running OL6.6 with a RDO icehouse packstack install and I'm running into problems mounting volumes.
Openstack will be awesome once I get it running
Thank you for any assistance.

Have a look at:
