Use of APO 'DP to SNP release' BADI

We are using SCM 5.0.
In our APO DP solution we have forecasts at the level of product||customer||location, which we release in the normal way onto 'product at location' objects in SNP.
For a small number of product||customer combinations, we want to 'change' the location at the time of the the release from DP to SNP. So, for example, in DP we might have product A at customer X at location L1, but when we release we want A at X to be for location L2.
Could the 'DP to SNP release' BADI be used to perform this 'reassignment' of forecasts?

Is these products are unique? If yes, then you can use Location split functionality.

In PPDS you can use Tcode /SAPAPO/RRP7 and select the PR to PO Conversion based on next 2 Months.

There r two time bucket profiles exist in DP & SNP, namely;
a. Storage Bucket Profile - used to store the planning data.
b. Planning Bucket Profile - used to plan and display the planning data. It can have both time span,
So rather than having two planning areas it better u create two Planning book for Promotion & BOM respectively.
You specify Storage Bucket profiles during setup of your Planning Area.
Planning Bucket profiles on the other hand are used to model how you would want to "see" the data for your Planning Areas. These profiles are specified during Planning Book cre

Using Zllib, Xerces and Boost (in release mode)

I've developped a Export plugin which used Zlib, Xerces, and Boost libs. (This libs are used in a statically.)
In debug mode, the plugin is loaded correctly, and worked fine.
I want to build this plugin in a release mode, in order to test it on an designer's workstation.
The compilation is executed without problems. the same for link operations. But when I tried to load at Illustrator's startup, a message box is shown, telling me my plugin was not loaded correctly, and not loaded at all.
I've took a look at my project settings, to check if my settings were ok (used static libs in debug or release mode), if there was no conflicts in precompiled header............
I did not find! So if someone would have some tips to help me, it would be great!

I have finally found the problem!
After having unplugged all the code I have written and replugged the all by block of code,
I have found where I was wrong! it has taken me almost a day of work!
the probleme was in the using of #ifndef, define!
just this few lines:
#ifndef _XERCESSTRING_H
#define _XERCESSTRING_H
#include <xercesc/util/XMLString.hpp>
#ifdef XERCES_CPP_NAMESPACE_USE
XERCES_CPP_NAMESPACE_USE
#endif
I have fixed that! now project can be built in release.

Are you using the latest version of Silverkeeper? - v.2.0.2 is stated to be compatible with Snow Leopard.

Use of APO macro function CHAR_VALUES_INPUT

I am using APO V7.
I am using the APO macro function CHAR_VALUES_INPUT to read in a resource name from the interactive user.
Is there a way of making sure that the user entered data is left justified?
(I am using the entered name in the RESOURCE_VARIANT function, and this function only seems to work if the resource name parameter is left justified, ie no leading blanks).

The FEB 2015 release was for the WPF map control which is for desktop only. There is an existing Bing Maps SDK for Windows Store apps which has a lot more functionality than the WPF map control already. You can find this SDK here:

I have a question about the use of APO transaction /sapapo/tsobj - for the transport of planning areas and planning books.
As far as I can see, this transaction can be used to first transport planning areas, and then transport planning books.
Can one also use the transaction to transport planning areas and books in one go?

Check your Music app to see if it already downloaded. You can also check iTunes on your computer to Check for a available downloads. If you are still not able to get it, then report the issue to iTunes.

Use of APO BADI /SAPAPO/SNP_ADV_SFT

I am using APO SNP safety stock planning.
I want to store the calculated 'demand forecast error' from the safety stock program on a field on the APO product master.
Is the BADI /SAPAPO/SNP_ADV_SFT suitable for this (method GET_FORECAST_ERROR)?
Or is there a better approach?

Hi,
The DP-BOM is either a PDS or PPM.
The PDS for DP is generated from the PDS for SNP or PP/DS with the transaction /SAPAPO/CURTO_GEN_DP and contains the components of multiple BOM levels.
The PPM for DP is created with the transaction/SAPAPO/SCC05 for the usage u2018Du2019 or generated with the transaction /SAPAPO/MC62.
SNP-PPMs (usage type u2018Su2019) can be used as well, but are more complicated to create.
To use DP-BOMs the according flag has to be set in the planning object structure.

APO Demand Planning - Navigational Attributes BADI

Hi,
I have an issue in that I need a Navigational Attribute to be able to store the GUID for a Forecast Profile to a Selection. In standard, only a selection with Key Characteristics can do this. It is not practical for us to use a Key Characteristic because the realignment would take to long therefore it needs to be a Navigational Attribute.
Having read the note "Use of planning characteristics vs navigation attributes in APO DP " dated 19/10/2009 in SAP Solutions » SCM - APO Forum, it indicates that there is a BADI work around to enable this to be done but cant remember which one.
Does anyone know the BADI can be used to achieve this?

This is why i won't use the new illustrator 2014(.1) release

I love drawing geometric shapes, logo's and icons for all short's of media. Unfortunately adobe decided to announce with its Illustrator 2014 release
that anchor handle's no longer snap to the grid. Whats even more frustrating is the fact they announced as a 'great new feature'.
Instead of adding a feature whereby you can toggle between anchor handle snapping or free anchor handle's it is banned from illustrator
without a warning. I can see why some people are happy with the free anchor handle behavior but it completely jolted my workflow.
And off course, you could use the basic geometric shapes and pathfinder to get the same results, but it takes about twice as much time.
Not to mention the complex stuff, which i didn't even try in illustrator 2014 / 2014.1.
It almost looks like a bug to me they apparently can't fix. I find it suspicious that there adding a new curvature pen tool. But they are unable / unwilling to
address this issue. It also fuel's my suspicious that there are unable to fix and instead, giving some tools that to the average illustrator user
are not particularly adding any value.

I think the poster has a good point. Sun is sadly one of the only 'named' players in the download a functional product arena. It really does not look good to those checking out new systems (particularly those putting out serverware) to have these problems. So all of the Linux people including Red Hat don't do this as well?
What problems? It sounded like he tried a web site, got a bad result, tried the "Chat" Feature, was told to contact tech support and then instead the poster started to bash Sun wherever possible.
Do Sun's or anyone else's stuff work 100% of the time? Would be nice but doesn't happen in the real world.
The original poster didn't say whether they did in fact try to contact tech support or simply try again at a later time or from another network. Things that we would expect someone to do. Even if it failed again there is the still the other option to just order the media.
I have been downloading software and purchasing 1,000s of dollars in hardware from sun without issue, but coming from linux my idea of issue is a bit different than a windows centric world.What does Windows have to do with anything here?
Also, by having this in the forums, others with the issue will be able to see both sides of the issue rather than just interoffice grumblings.I'm not part of any interoffice grumbling. This is an international forum where anyone, even people who want to bash Sun can post if they desire..
