Use of Customer Exit - IP Wad Input ready Query

Hi All,
Can anyone confirm if we can use a customer exit variable(populates a SEQ number) be used in a input layout on IP>>WAD application.
In my case it displays the seq number in the header area,but displays the "No rows or cols displayed because the axis not input readyu".
We applied the note SAP Note 1337901 - Query not ready for input if there is an empty results set;
But had little luck;
When I remove the exit variable it works fine as long it is drill-down in the rows;
Any help would be apreciated.

My Exit variable works fine,and generates the sequence in WAD/BEX..
The problem I have is when I include teh exit var on the query/filter of the agg lvl;
The Wad screen displays the generated seq number in the header area, but turns the input grid OFF.

İ need to make an input ready query in wad with new blank rows under report.
in mu query i can see posted values where i need blank rows as well.
i have set number of new rows in analysis item.
what else i should do.
when i run my query, it gives warning that i have no columns that i can enter manually.

Hi,
A few points that you should check:
1) Whether all characteristics of the Aggregation level are restricted to one single value except for characteristics included in the rows;
2) Whether all the characteristics included in the rows are displayed with the Key (with or without text);
3) If you have a Unit characteristic in the row, it still has to be restricted to a single value in the filter.
These are some of the typical reasons why I have encountered the same problem!

Input ready query on Multiprovider displays two row for two Infoproviders

Hello experts,
We are using below design to develop an input ready query.
                   Input ready query
                       Multiprovider
Aggregation level 1      Aggegation level 2
Realtime cube 1            Real time cube 2
As we are developing Input ready query on multiprovider, it is automatically creating characteristic named 0INFOPROV at multiprovider and query level. 0INFOPROV contains values of Infoproviders on which multiprovider is created.
char1 cha2 Infoprovider                    key1     Key2
R1       #       Aggregation level 1        10          #
        P1     Aggregation level 2         #              20
During planning, we have to plan on separate row for each infoprovider.
is there any way we can avoid this issue and perform planning on single row for both infoproviders?

Input Ready Query using Analysis grid in WAD - Integrated Planning

While running the input ready query in analyzer, I am able to key in values.
In WAD, I get the following message and there is no new row.
"No new row or column added because not all characteristics have a key cell"

New lines in web applications modeled by WAD only work with SP09 and note 984601.

How to calculate and save planning data in bex input-ready query using keyfigures for calculation from different infoproviders

Hi Dear All,
We have two real time infocubes and two aggregation levels based on these cubes in one multiprovider
first cube1 is like
char1| char2| keyfig_coefficient(single value for each combination of char1 and char2)
same aggregation level1
(we have input query to fill coefficients by one responsible user)
second cube2 is like
char1| char2| keyfig_quantity| keyfig_result
same aggregation level2
Input ready query should be like (for all other users of different org units)
char1|char2|keyfig_coeff| keyfig_quant(for input) | keyfig_result = keyfig_coeff*keyfig_quant(calculated value, should be saved to cube2)
And we don't have pregenerated lines in cube2, users have to add new lines themselves by wad.
Question is, what is the optimal (easiest) way to make calculation and save result data to cube2 where keyfigures for calculation should be used from different infoproviders. I need just a hint.

I found decision, agregation levels sould be based on multiprovider, not included.

How to use a customer exit in WebI

Hi expert,
I read from official SAP document that customer exit variable are supported within WebI query.
I created an universe based on a query bex. In this query I use a variable exit for 0calmonth2.
Within the WebI universe I don't see any variable.
How can I use/build a customer exit variable in my WebI query?

I havethe same issue, even though I place the user exit variable in Filter section, its not working as expected in WEBI/crystal.
the variable that i have created will assign default value as sysdate.its working fine BW.
Are there any extra settings at BEX/BW level which have to be set before using user/sap exit variables in webi/crystal?
How should the user/customer exit variables be defined in order to get them carried properly to webi or crystal, I mean what should be the properties set for these variables?

WAD template for INPUT READY Query

Gurus,
I have created a real time cube and did al steps correctly in terms of Input ready Query Design. ( Set the Query to Change Mode , changed Key figures to accept Data from Users and Plan functions).
I get the out put in read only mode . I mean the key figures does not allow me to plan .
I am clueless as I seem to do all correclty. We are on latest Service pack .
I discovered we are uisng the webtemplate 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN . DOes this need to be changed?

Suggest check if you are able to enter data using the input enabled query in BEx just to make sure that the query is correctly developed.

Input ready query---structures used in rows

I have a problem in reporting, I have infoobject this object used in filter and rows, rows i am using the structure.
in structure i am using the all budget categories.
in that case: input ready query not working its disabled the cells.
i have a doubt , structures can be used in input ready queries or not.

The following steps is that:
1,I create the Input ready Query.
2,I can insert the new record.
3,I can use the input help for the characteristics.
4,When I double the space, I got the pop-up for input help.
5,I want to get the function is that:
for example:
char1 is the char2 attribute.

n-- - - - -- - - - - - a
u- - - - -- - - - - - - -a

when I write the "a" for the char1 in the new record at input ready query, I only want to got "m","n","u" for char2 from the char2 input help.
How can do it?

Hello Leon,
As you have already set char1 as an attribute of char2, what you would need to do is create an attribute variable for char2 of type exit.
Using a variable exit, you can pass the value of char1 to char2. This would then automatically restrict the selection list to "m", "n", "u" as values for char2 when you enter "a" as the value for char1.

As I wanted to implement Input Ready Query for Planning in which User has to enter Charactersitc Values apart from Keyfigures.
Per Example:-
Project Number and Budget are Fields in Input ready query. Here user wanted to enter Project Number and Budget values Manually.
Is it possiable, if yes, can you give me your idea how to implement this scanario in IP by creating Aggregation level or Input ready query.

Thank you very much for your quick responce, Since Thursday and Friday are weekend holidays for me that is the reason i didn't respond your answer. Sorry for the my delay responce.
In my business case is here only one time selection only not for every row selection.
Before post this i was created One Planning Cube>on top of this i created 4 Aggregations Levels>created Planning Filter with respective aggregation Levels > Created 4 Input Ready Queries with respective 4 aggregation levels>Created one web template>used Tab Strip Container Web item and assign 4 Input ready queries to 4 data providers>Created Variables for Exe Department in Inputready queiry and assigined to Data Providers in WAD.
Now my Web template is asking user input and giving Exe Department values and then entering to out put where user can able to give values and save plan values. But Exe Department characterstic is also displying in Coloum area which should not be displyed in my case. becase of whater characterstics assigned to Dropdown they should not appereard in Coloum area.
How can i do this.? Can you provide your views...

Problem with input ready query with structure in Rows

Hi,
First I have created an input ready query without a structure where I have GL accounts in rows and key figures in column. It works and I can see that the cells are ready for input when I launch it in web through query designer.
Later, I am replacing the GL accounts in rows with a structure. Each line in the structure is combination of GL acctUoMChart of Acct (all restrcited to single values). Here comes the issue. When I run the query again (launching thru query designer) it dumps. Any idea?
Also, please let me know whether the planning applications can be made using BEX analyser OR WAD ?

Also, planning applications can be built using BEx analyzer or WAD.

Copy Input Ready Query Variables into Planning Sequence

Hi all,
       We have the following scenario. We developed a model using Web Template. The model has an input ready query and a Panning sequence associated with it. Both of them using the same Planning Filter that has a input variable for Profit Center (say ZPCTR). If I run this model in Portal the planning sequence automatically takes the variable given for the input ready query and the sequence runs without any problem.
       We were asked to implement the same model in BEx as the users felt more comfortable using Excel when working on this model. When we assinged the planning sequence to a button and after we run the input ready query and then click on the button to run the planning sequence, we get an error message saying "You have to enter values before you execute". The Planning sequence is not taking the values we enter for the input ready query automatically.
      I read through the forums on the same issue and saw that most of them reported about the same but could not find a conclusive answer. I tried the following options.
1) Enter the expected values in the excel in one location and gave the address in the "Command Range" of the planning sequence. Still it does not work.
2) Tried SAP suggested method as given in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/45/e301089d574a88e10000000a155369/frameset.htm It also does not work
3) Couple of them suggested to use a different variable for Profit Center in the filter of Planning sequence (say ZPCTR_EXIT) and populate this variable. I wrote an exit for this variable and populated a fixed value say '100' into it. The sequence runs as expected. But I do not want use a constant, I want to store the value entered in ZPCTR into ZPCTR_EXIT.
   when I use the regular logic "LOOP AT i_t_var_range INTO var_inpiut WHERE vnam = 'ZPCTR' ", it does not work. the exit variable works if I store some constant values, not variable values.
    Can you please suggest how can I work with this. Is there any table from which I can read the profit center value the users enters into the Exit variable.

This error generally comes when we use some user input variable in the sequence which is not restricted in the query. Even though you are using the same filter for both planning sequence and query, check the planning functions inside the sequence which might read an user input variable which is not available in the query so that it is not appearing in the query selection screen. Like in FOX reading a variable using VARV or a variable restricted in the field for condition of planning function etc. Make sure that all the variables used in the sequence (planning functions) are kept in query restrictions if they are of type ready for user input so that they will appear in the selection screen.

Input Ready Query needs Actual Data too

Hi Gurus
Our customer requires last 3 months of actual data for reference on the Input Ready Queries, to plan . They need to see last 3 months actuals when they start seeing planning season.
Is it a good option to show actual and Input enabled plan piece together.
We can build a MultiProvider and Build the Agg levels.
Pls advice if this would be a best practice or should we create a WAd Dash board showing 3 months actuals in one column of the Table lay out and allow the In put ready query in another column.

Hi,
You can easily achieve by providing the Plan data and Actual data in two different worksheets of the work book.
First, create an aggregation level on the plan cube and then an input ready query on this aggregation level.
Then create one more query on the actual cube(agg level is not needed as input readiness is not required).
In the Analyzer, open the first query in the first worksheet. Then create one more worksheet, create a data provider in the design mode and embed the second query.
The user can see the actuals in the second sheet and can plan on the firsst sheet.

IP: How to hide currency/unit from input-ready query headers?

Hi,
Is there a way to hide currency/unit from input-ready BEx web query headers? I've used NODIM-concept for read-only reports, but with input-ready it won't work since formulas cannot be input-ready. Is there a setting somewhere or workaround? The web query is published by WAD.

Hi Aki,
If you wanna do this in input-ready query, there is only one scenario: you restrict 0UNIT and 0CURRENCY as one certain constant value for the 'Characteristic Restrictions' in the 'Filter', and DON'T set the according 'Can Be Changed at Execution' selected. Then the 0UNIT and 0CURRENCY can be put into 'Free Characteristics', no neccessary moving them to data area.
If there're multiple value for 0UNIT or 0CURRENCY for your planning, you can't hide them in data area of INPUT-READY query, since they belong the dimension 'U'.
