Use of customer group 1, 2 , 3, 4, 5 in Sales order Header Additional dat ?

Can somebody explain the Use of customer group 1, 2 , 3, 4, 5 in Sales order Header ? Is it only meant for reporting?

Sales and Distribution -> Master Data -> Business Partners -> Customers -> Sales -> Maintain reserve fields in customer master

There are reserve fields in the customer master record which are not used in the standard system. They are available for use and are as follows:
Customer group 1 (View: V_TVV1 Field:KVGR1)
Customer group 2 (View: V_TVV2 Field:KVGR2)
Customer group 3 (View: V_TVV3 Field:KVGR3)
Customer group 4 (View: V_TVV4 Field:KVGR4)
Customer group 5 (View: V_TVV5 Field:KVGR5)
You can find the fields in the customer master record under the sales and distribution data in Sales. Choose additional data under Environment.
It is advisable to change the field description (Data elements KVGR1 to KVGR5).
This is described in the system modifications in the Reserve fields unit of the customer master record:

Record
In this step you maintain the valid entries for the individual views.

Sales group not filled form sales order header in PGI accounting Document
Hi all,
we are creating a sales order . when sold to and ship to is entered the sales group at the header level is fetched from the customer master automatically.
Now after changing the sales group,different from customer master,the sales order got saved as usual with a warning mesaage 'sales group is diiferent from customer master'.
After doing PGI and billing , the sales group fetched in billing document is same as that of sales order header,but when good issue delievry document is displayed , in accounting document of the material document (ie. in FB03),the sales group in profit segment tab is getting filled from customer master.
Now the requirement is to fetch the sales group from sales order header instead of customer master.hi

I am getting sales order number and some code value from the legacy system. i need to check whether the sales order is avialable in SAP or not. if it is there, i need to update the CODE value (ie for example ABC100) in sales order header data> order data> your reference field. For doing this i am using the IDOC type ORDERS05 and message type ORDCHG message type.
Now i want to know what are the mandatory fields which i need to do the mapping for the IDOC ORDERS05, to change the sales order header data. please check and suggest me the required fields of the IDOC to be mapped, so that i can change the sales order header data.
Please correct me if i am doing something wrong here.

Just i need to change the header data of the sales order, for example if i am getting the sales order as 1000 and CODE as ABC100. i need to change the Sales document number 1000 and put the code ABC100 in sales order header data>orders data>your reference field.
So now i want to know the below points
1. what are the mandatory fields for which i need to pass the values for the IDOC ORDERS05.
2. what is the user-exit used for picking up those values from SAP because i am getting only sales order number and CODE values from legacy system.

The value of this field is if you want to print the invoices that are being posted manually you can activate this field.
It will be directly proposed from customer master to sales document, where you can change.

Customer Name on Sales Order not in Data Collections
Hi,
I am looking for some help. My company just did an upgrade from 11i to R12 in the middle of May. As part of the upgrade we installed ASCP. We have noticed that certain customers are not being collected when running Standard Data Collections. We have open sales orders in the system for the customer. The sales order are being collected properly and appear in the plan. When we show the Customer field in the 'Supply/Demand Screen' in ASCP, the field is blank for select customers. Is there anything on the customer master or sales order line that would prevent the customer name from being collected? Any insight would be helpful.

RichYou can go to order organizer screen select the OA NO which you are not able to see in the ASCP workbench, go to line items---using show field get the Demand visible
tab on screen-----default value should be 'Y' if blank then then that could be the one of the reason. -

MohanAs its a standard functionality to have the Sales Group & Sales Office from Quotation to Order. But in your case, check the Copy Control settings at Header Level .
DataT 051 General header data Copying requirements 001 Header-same customer
DataT 101 Header business data
DataT 001 Partner header
In case , they are also same, then check if any Logic is added in the Existing Routine.

My customer is looking for a comp. open (unbilled) sales order line report
Hello:
My customer wants a listing of open (unbilled) sales order lines. List of everything they have ordered and do not have a bill for yet. That seems to be spread between 'Open' Sales Orders - see VA05 (no outbound delivery created yet) AND outbound deliveries that have not yet been billed - see VL06O with Billing Status not completely processed.
How can both of these be merged into one?
Is there something else that can show this TOTAL picture?

Customer Hierarchy Determination in Sales Order Header
Hello Gurus,
I am trying to determine how the customer hierarchy is being determined in the sales order for our instance of SAP. I can see 1D..1H get populated as partners so five levels are being bought in with 1H being the highest. The confusing part is how come 1A..1C is not being populated with any data. Wouldnt the system start at 1A and populate to 1E the five levels. Instead the partners for hierarchy are starting at 1D. How does the system not populate 1A as start point? Is each hierarchy nodes somehow linked to 1A..1H?Did the hierarchy been assigned in t.code OVH4? If not, assign and test by creating a new sales document.

Automated Custom Delivery Block on Sales Order Header
Hi Experts,
Please advise how to add Custom Delivery Block and assign to Header Level Configuration (take note configuration). Please, I know the table TVLSP and TVLS but I don't know how to modify them. I know also how to develop and assign the value to User-Exit. However, the existing Delivery Blocks are not approriate so I need to create a new Delivery Block (as maintained in TVLS). And also it is not possible to change only VBAK-LIFSK in user-exit MV45AFZZ (USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE) as written in SAP quote:
"The delivery block at header level is only effective if this block is assigned to the corresponding delivery type in the Customzing table (TVLSP). Regardless of the settings in Customizing, the delivery block is always effective at schedule line level."
Please advise if this is possible to configure.

You can try creating the block in SPRO >> Logistics Execution >> Shipping >> Deliveries >> Define reasons for Blocking in Shipping >> deliveries : Blocking reasons / Criteria
and Delivery Blocks.
In the first one, you create your delivery blocks and in the second you assign them to deliveries. They are created in table TVLSP.

BDOC's to update the custom fields in R/3 from the CRM sales order
Dear All,
I need a small help.
My requirement is as follows.
When ever a sales order is created in CRM, an outbound delivery will be automatically created in the R/3 system.
There are some fields in the CRM sales order which are not there in the R/3 system.So I have to create these fields in the LIKP and LIPS tables in R/3 which is not a problem.
But I have to copy these fields from CRM to the LIKP and LIPS tables in R/3 when ever a sales order is created and saved in CRM. (This should happen automatically)
So could anyone tell me whether there are any BDOCs available to update the sales order info in the LIKP and LIPS tables and also any BADI which can be trigger for this purpose.

Thanks a lot. You have given a good solution.
But a small correction.
Sales Order is not transferred from CRM to R/3. The system is creating (automatically) a delivery in the r/3 system for the sales order created in CRM (Here we will not have the sales order in R/3), so we dont have an entry in VBAK and VBAP tables.
When we create a sales order in CRM and save , the delivery in R/3 is created and the sales order is not transferred to R/3.
So while saving the sales order itself in CRM, I need to trigger a badi to update the LIKP and LIPS tables by calling a RFC (which needs to be developed in R/3).
So I need a badi which triggers when the sales order is saved and which tells whether the sales order is saved without errors or not (because delivery in R/3 is created for only those orders which are created and saved without errors in CRM) and returns the sales order number.
It will be helpful if you can send some info on this.

WE set up a new custoerm group using TCODE for customer groups is OVS9.
Path is IMG->Sales and Distribution->Master Data->Business Partners->Sales->Define Customer groups
We also defined a new output type for billing.
but for some reason we dont get any output. Is there something more we need to do to link the customer group to an output type?
Please let me know.

To get customer group displayed in output type for billing this has to be included in the output type layout by ABAP consultant.
And if you want to link the customer group to billing type in output this can be done using by including in Access sequence. TCODE V/07

Customer Hierarchy Partner determination in a Sales Order using Payer ?
Dear SD Experts/Gurus
We use Customer Hierarchies extensively in Sales Orders for Pricing & Rebates and it all works fine.
The Hierarchy structure consists at the bottom level of a SoldTo linked to a Hierarchy Customer and many SoldTos can have the same Hierarchy Customer.
We set price conditions at the Hierarchy Customer and that all works fine.
We would like to change our Customer Hierarchy to link the Hierarchy Customer to the Payer rather than to all the individual SoldTos.
This is because we have many SoldTos linked to 1 Payer and this will allow us to have simpler Customer Hierarchy structures making it easier to setup and maintain.
I have changed the SAP configuration to do this and I can certainly maintain the Customer Hierarchy without any problem using transaction VDH1N.
But when I create a Sales Order, the Hierarchy Customer does not get pulled through to the Sales Order Header Partners based on the Order Payer and hence no Hierarchy Customer price conditions are pulled through.
Is what I'm trying to do possible in SAP ?
If so please advise how this can be achieved.

I have a similar requirement, although we are building the hierarchies directly in CRM (as we are with BP's in general), and I am using hierarchy category 01 - PRICING.
What I have found is that a sold-to BP must:
1. be assigned to a hierarchy node
2. appear TWICE (!!!) in the document part.det.procedure, once in partner function 000001 (sold to) and again in partner function 00000121 (Authorized partner: sold to).
When the sold to customer exists in both functions within the document, I am able to determine the hierarchy node properly.
Now, my question is, can anyone guess why the main partner (sold to) must appear twice??? or, is this an error in my customizing?

PS in terms of customizing, I used the following:
partner function 00000001 - sold to
partner function 00000121 - Auth. Partner: Sold-to Party
access for Auth. Partner: 0017 - current partner: sold to *this copies the sold to partner into this partner*
partner function 00000076 - Hierarchy Node Partner
access for hier.node partner: CRM_PARTNER_G Pricing hierarchy
The last bit presupposes that the hierarchy is set up using hierarchy category '01 - pricing'.

Text was maintained in customer masterdata, that should be copied in to sales order header. In Quality server its working as per requirement. But in production its not copied from customer master data.
Same configuration settings are in production as well as quality(VOTXN)
