Use of DAK Wave MP3 Editor to manage radio stream downloads

Do I need software like DAK Wave MP3 Editor to be able to manage downloads of opera from internet radio streams to my Ipod? If not this program, is there a better program? What is the best method to do this???

  • CD Audio and CD Digital controlled by Wave/MP3 sli

    Using Platinum Li've! card with digital I/O daughter card. I have connected CD ROM (4 pin) cable to CD In on soundcard and DVD to CD SPDIF in on card (2 pin cable) but both devices are still controlled by the wave/mp3 slider on the surround sound mixer. I have downloaded latest drivers, too. I would like to control these devises by their corresponding mixer sliders (CD digital and CD audio). How can I do this?
    Thanks!

    JeffFun,
    You may need to disable Digital CD extraction for your CDrom for this to work. This is done in device manager on the properties section for the CD. This should allow control of the levels directly.

  • Unable to decode and import wav/mp3 file

    I've recorded an audio file using Mbox 2 and Pro Tools LE 7.
    I have exported the file to the wav format, but when I try to
    import it into my Captivate 2 file, I get the following error
    message.
    "Unable to decode and import the selected wav/mp3 file."
    Any ideas why this is happening?
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi "Chemistry guy",
    A WAV is not a WAV is not a WAV. There are many "types" of
    WAV audio file. Check to be sure that your WAV file is in "
    PCM" format. That should be easy with a good audio editor.
    Matter of fact, it should be easy even with Windows included "Sound
    Recorder" application.
    To use your own audio editor, I imagine you know how to find
    and change file properties.
    On the other hand, if you want to use "Sound Recorder" ... on
    WinXP go to "Start > All Programs > Accessories >
    Entertainment > Sound Recorder", then open the file, then go to
    "File > Save As" ... and
    at the bottom of the save-as dialog, you will see "Format"
    (describing current file formatting) and a button to "CHANGE" that
    format. Click the button and you will see a drop-list containing
    various formats.
    Select "PCM" and
    save the file.
    Hopefully with this change made, you will be good to go.

  • I am using both PSE 13 and Lightroom 5.  When I use Lightroom as an external editor and save the photo, it shows up in PSE13 as an edited file but does not look any different.  Why doesn't it appear edited?

    I am using both PSE 13 and Lightroom 5.  When I use Lightroom as an external editor and save the photo, it shows up in PSE13 as an edited file but does not look any different.  Why doesn't it appear edited?

    People who have Photoshop, but don't have Lightroom, need ACR so that they can use Raw files. Without ACR they could do nothing with those (they may also like having ACR so that they can work on other kinds of image using the same kinds of adjustments and techniques, as are used with Raw files).
    People who have Lightroom, can get access to Raw files regardless whether ACR is present or not. They can use Lightroom on other kinds of image also, using the same methods. LR can pass images directly into Photoshop without passing via ACR (or else does so transparently, which amounts to substantially the same thing).
    ACR does not, strictly speaking, even need to be installed for this external editing to happen. In fact, not even PS needs to be - since a different image editor can be used instead, while still retaining the Adobe Raw conversion etc.
    Lightroom "subcontracts out" specialised external tasks, in this workflow, but is still your "main contractor": the image is otherwise located, viewed, managed, adjusted/presented and output entirely using LR.
    So IMO we can divide image processing into:
    operations that involve pixels and layers and layer masks and adjustment layers etc (of the kind done inside Photoshop)
    operations that involve parametric edits (of the kind done in ACR where you are not using a Lightroom based workflow; otherwise, done inside Lightroom)
    When PS is called in, that's because those tasks are impossible or unsuitable to do in Lightroom. But those tasks can't be done in ACR either - by definition, since LR and ACR have exactly the same image processing "feature set".
    Lightroom is irrelevant to the Bridge + ACR + PS workflow. This workflow requires both your PS and your ACR to be current enough, to support your Raw format etc.
    ACR and Bridge are irrelevant to the LR + (image editor) workflow. It is in this case, only LR which needs to be current enough to support your Raw format etc.

  • Using a different Rich Text Editor ?

    Hi,
    I'd like to know if you're using a different Rich Text Editor other than the one provided by Oracle ?
    Are you satisfied with it ? Especially in the management of images ?
    Thanks
    Max.

    there is a textflow component
    http://blog.flexexamples.com/2009/07/25/exporting-a-textflow-object-in-flex-4/
    still exports to font tags unfortunately, but its closer than the richtexteditor. Its basically at the point where you could even write your own small parser and adapt the output to the format you desire.

    Self explanatory.
    You could try creating an iPod version of the films.
    Use CTRL and B to display the Menu bar shown above. Alternatively, use the ALT key, followed by the F key, the W key and finally the I (eye) key - that's (menu)/File/Create New Version/Create iPod or iPhone version.

  • How do I enable all sound files wav,MP3 on windows 7 64-bit change system sounds

    How do I enable all sound files wav,MP3 on windows 7 64-bit change system sounds it will only give me the option to choose wav?

    Windows 7 uses .wav (wave) files for the sound events. The default folder that Windows 7 uses to store the sound files in is located at C:\Windows\Media.
    You cannot use a MP3 file but there are lots of (WAV to MP3 converters) available on internet which can help you to convert MP3 to wav  serving your purpose of changing system sound.

  • Error in Adobe Captivate 4: "unable to decode and import the selected wav - mp3 file"

    Good day!
    I have a problem. When i want to import music file from standart Gallery, i see the mistake: unable to decode and import the selected wav - mp3 file.
    I can't import mp3,wav files...
    In Adobe Help site i have found this: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Captivate/4.0/Using/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d119e9582190-7fd8. html
    But in my Adobe Captivate 4 directory i don't have file regsvr32 NSAudio.dll.
    Question: where i can download this file?
    Thanks!

    Hi there
    As I recall there were two different "fixes" for audio with Captivate 4. One involved replacing the dll and another had something to do with installation problems on Windows XP. So give the link below a try.

  • Unable to decode and import the select wav/mp3 file

    Hi,
    I've been TRYING to test the Text-to-speech feature in
    Captivate 4. Problem: "Unable to decode and import the select
    wav/mp3 file" each and every time I want to use it. Frustrating!
    I also tried importing sounds from the library, same problem.
    My system is Vista Business 64Bit, 4Gb RAM, Intel SSD hard
    drive, conexant high definition audio 221 on a Lenovo T400.
    How do I fit this? I want to try it out damnt :)

    I went through the "unable to decode and import the selected wav/mp3 file" error.  After talking with an Adobe Rep,  I quickly realized that I could NOT use the directions.  I have no experience in using Command Prompts.  I have written down the directions by key stroke for those people that are similar to me.  Enjoy!
    For Vista and Win7,
    Click on the circle start menu,
    In the search box, type in command and in the generated list, "right-click" on the comman link and change to "run as administrator".
    Go back to the search box, type in command and hit enter.  This will take you to the command prompt window (black window w/ white text) lol
    You have to get to the right directory first.
    Type: cd (space-bar) .. (hit enter)
    Type: cd (space-bar) .. (hit enter)
    If Captivate is installed on Program Files (x86) ---
    Type: cd (space-bar) progra~2 (hit enter)
    If Captivate is installed on Program Files
    Type: cd (space-bar) progra~1 (hit enter)
    Type: cd (space-bar) Adobe (hit enter)
    Type: cd (space-bar) Adobe (space-bar) Captivate (space-bar) 4 (hit enter)
    Type: regsvr32 (space-bar) NSAudio.dll (hit enter)
    If you get an error at any point, re-key that particular line.
    Once you see that the last line of command went through, open up Captivate and test the Text to Speech.  These instructions fixed both computers I was working on!!!!

  • CP4 unable to decode and import the selected wav/mp3 file

    I am trying to import a .wav file into a project and get an error message 'unable to decode and import the selected wav/mp3 file'.
    I have tried the solution huan_miguel posted a week ago for someone with the same problem.
    http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/2009/03/adobe_captivate_4_installatio n.html
    executed all the steps described in this link.
    Unfortunately, the problem is still there.
    Any other solution?

    You're probably going to need to do both.
    Although Captivate can certainly accept a 10 meg audio file, you would need to add it to the movie and then synchronise the slides to the audio. Chopping the audio file up and adding the relevant bits to each slide has both advantages and disadvantages.  It's easier to control the playback synchronisation when you divide up the audio, but it's more work.
    Take a look at this graphic from SoundBooth when I export an audio file recorded in Captivate 5:
    Notice that it shows the bitrate of the Captivate WAV file as being 16 bit.  This is quite a low bitrate.  You can go as high as 32 bit in SoundBooth, however, in my experience, when you try to import a WAV into Captivate that is over 16 bit you will encounter issues.  Cp just doesn't seem to like it.
    If you want to learn more about bit rates in multimedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit_rate
    Suffice to say, you need to find out what the current bit rate of the audio file is, and if necessary, save it as 16 bit for Captivate.  For this, you will require some kind of audio editing software.
    You can try using Audacity as someone else suggested: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/  and try exporting the file out as 16 bit.
    However, if you are going to be doing quite a bit of this type of work, I would suggest you invest in Adobe Soundbooth, or something of that ilk.  You'll enjoy the experience more.

  • Unable to decode and import the selected wav/mp3 file

    I am trying to import mp3's into a Captivate 3 presentation
    but keep getting this error "Unable to decode and import the
    selected wav/mp3 file." I am using the same mp3 files that I have
    used many times with projects in Cap1 and Cap2. I have converted
    the files to wav's and tried but I'm still getting the same
    message. I have a deadline and I'm stumped.
    Any ideas?

    Hi DianaUNC
    Interesting. I've seen it happen with WAV files but not MP3.
    Do you still have Captivate 2 around? If so, do these successfully
    import into Captivate 2? One thought was that you might pop them
    into something like Audacity and save them out again. Perhaps
    something is amiss with the encoding used.
    Or you might try the trick of opening them in Windows Sound
    Recorder and saving them out of that in a different format. I know
    that works with one particular WAV file I have.

  • Is there a way to give a local user permission to add a local user using the local group policy editor?

    I need to find a way to have the local administrator of a Windows Server 2012 system grant a local user (non-administrator) the ability to add a user for the machine using the local group policy editor. The machine is not part of any Active Directory environment,
    this is strictly on the one machine.  In my situation it is not an option to just make the user an administrator. The idea is to give someone the right to add a user and have no other such administrative rights. I need to accomplish this using the
    Local Group Policy editor or the Group Policy Management Console if it is possible to do this outside of an active directory environment. This is not an assignment to learn how to use these tools and I am not even sure if it would even be possible though I
    need to either find a way or find proof that it is not possible using these applications.

    Hi,
    Sorry for the delay reply.
    So did you want to non-admin user have the ability to add another user?
    As far as i know, we cannot add the user if we have no local admin permission, we will receive the error"Access denied".
    Regards.

  • Playing audio and video files in JSF (.wav,.mp3)

    Hi,
    I would like to know how to play audio and video files such as .wav,.mp3 in jsf .
    could any one please post the code for playing the wav files.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    There is no JSF component to do this, so you would have to write your own custom component to render an <object ...> element.
    Or, you can use <f:verbatim> wrapped around an html <object ...> element.

  • Convert zvr to wav/mp3/ogg

    hi!
    i have a digital voice recorder which records to *.zvr-files. i installed gstreamer0.10-plugins to have all plugins available, but it doesn't seem that any gstreamer-plugin can handle this files.
    is there a way to convert *.zvr files to wav, mp3, ogg or to another common audio-format?
    i already tried the windows-software delivered with the voice recorder. the software works, it plays the zvr-files. but if i use it's function to convert zvr to wav it just creates a *.wav file of 480 bytes which doesn't work.
    there's another conerter for windows: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/ZVR_Converter.htm
    it produces the same useless, tiny *.wav files like the voice-recorder-software.
    any ideas?
    btw: it's a (philips voice tracer 7655)

    There's several apps to convert WMA files, you might want to take a look at Switch.

  • Using a JPanel as cell editor in JTable

    I have a composite component (JPanel that contains a JTextField and a
    JButton) that I would like to use as the a cell editor in a JTable.The JButton instantiates a UI editor component that I have designed. Example would be date editor for dates, tet editor for strings etc. This editor allows the user to select a date to populate the JTextField (the date may also be manually entered).
    I have no problem with the rendering of the component within the table.However, I would like for the JTextField embedded within the JPanel to receive focus and a visible caret, when using the tab key to navigate to the cell. After reading through some of the posts here , I was able to transfer the focus. But I dont see a visible caret. I am unable to edit. I have to click on the text box and then start typing. Its a great pain in the ass.
    I have a custom designed table and custom designed editor. Code is attached...
    <pre>
    protected boolean processKeyBinding(KeyStroke ks, KeyEvent e,int condition, boolean pressed) {
    final int selRow = getSelectedRow();
    final int rowCount = getRowCount();
    final int selCol = getSelectedColumn();
    final EventObject obj = (EventObject) e;
    if (selRow == -1) {
    SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {

    editCellAt(0, 1, obj);
    boolean isSelected = false;
    if ((ks == KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(KeyEvent.VK_TAB,0)) ||
    (ks == KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(KeyEvent.VK_ENTER,0))) {
    if (selCol == 1) {

    } else {
    getCellEditor(selRow, selCol).shouldSelectCell(obj);
    return super.processKeyBinding(ks,e,condition,pressed);

    Relevant code of my custom editor is below....

    public boolean stopCellEditing() {
    if (super.stopCellEditing()) {

    Does any one know why I am not able to see the caret? Any insights you have will be most welcome.
    Thanks in advance,
