Use of HP LaserJet Pro P1106 in multiple countries?

I bought a printer when I was teaching in China with the information below
on the back:
HP LaserJet Pro P1106; Serial No. VNCPH13370;
Product No. CE653A; Registry Model No. BOISB-0901-00
220-240V –AC; 50/60Hz, 2.5A
Manufactured March, 2012; Product of Vietnam
Hewlett-Packard; 11311 Chinden Blvd.; Boise, Idaho 83714 USA
I want to know if I can use this printer in the USA, Japan, Korea, and other
countries. If so, what do I need to do/buy; and what are the best brands
and prices for these items?
Thanks.

Hi J-a-n-,
You can take your Laserjet to another country without having to regionalize it or purchase anything more to make it work.
Safe and happy travels

  • Which inf file to use for HP LaserJet Pro 200 color m251nw, when updating the driver?

My printer is LaserJet Pro 200 color Printer M251nw. I visited the support page and found there is a newer driver.
    Driver (61.117.01.15301)
Currently my driver version is 61.117.1.11493. I want to upgrade the driver.
After downloading and unzipping the files into the folder, I found there are 3 inf files in the folder:
    hpcm251u.inf
    hpcm251c.inf
    hpbuio70l.inf
So which one should I install? I am disappointed at the lack of information and inconvenience in upgrading the driver.

    Hi CJKim,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are trying to update the driver and are not sure which .inf to choose.
I will be happy to help you.
Since it is running through the add printer wizard you can select any one of the .inf files you listed
    to update the drivers.
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

  • Anyone using an HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw printer with SL?

I'm thinking of getting this printer. Can anyone using this with Snow Leopard please let me know how well it works? Any issues? Nice printer? I will be replacing a Samsung CLP-315 which prints very nicely, but doesn't work well after updating from Tiger to SL.
    Thanks

It works just fine.  I picked up a 1525 yesterday, configured it using Lion, and I just now configured my wife's SL laptop to work with it.  No problems.  Just don't install the HP disk and let OS-X grab drivers for it and you should be fine.
It's a little tricky configuring with Lion for wireless printing, but it's doable.  See my post at https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3449512 for a checklist.

  • HELP! Problem using HPSCAN.exe or TWAIN driver for HP Laserjet Pro cm1415fnw using Windows 7

I have been using the HP Laserjet Pro cm1415fnw for over a year without a problem.  At the time when I first purchased the unit, I was using a Dell desktop with Windows XP and connected the printer via USB port.  I was able to print and scan from my computer, including from within applications that use TWAIN scanning driver such as Word, Acrobat, etc.
I have since upgraded to an HP slimline s5-1160 computer using Windows 7.  I installed the Laserjet software from my installation CD's without a problem.  The printer is connected to the computer by USB port.  I can continue to print without a problem.  However, I no longer am able to scan using the HP software (HPscan.exe) nor from within applications that use TWAIN scanning driver such as Word, Acrobat, etc.  When I attempt to do so, it takes a long time before it asks me what TWAIN scan driver to select.  When I select the HP cm1410 MFP series, the program either crashes or reverts to the state it was before I attempted to scan an image into a document from within the program.
I can however scan successfully using the Windows Scan and Fax wizard or if I choose "Devices and Printers" from the Start Menu and select "Start scan" from the menu after right-clicking the HP printer icon.  However this option limits my use of the scanner -- I cannot scan to a PDF nor can I scan multiple pages into an OCR application.  I'm forced to scan to either a JPG or TIF or PNG.
As for attempting to resolve this problem I have done the following with no success:
Uninstall and reinstall the full software and drivers (and using the most recent version on the HP website)
    Change USB ports and/or cables
Run the HP scan diagnostic utility, which seems to show an error at the WIA scanning step and then recommends that I uuninstall and reinstall the full software.  When I skip that and allow it to check for TWAIN scanning, it gives me a similar error, suggesting that I use the most recent version of the drivers (the driver that I am using is v 3.0 dated 11/12/2009)  Therefore in this case the HP scan diagnostic utility does NOT provide a fix for this problem other than uninstall and reinstall, which I have done several times to no avail
Contact HP support both for the computer and the multifunction printer (which as I understand are different support staff).  The printer staff claims it's a software problem and that the computer staff should be able to resolve it (something about not having "launchpad" installed properly.  When I contact the computer staff, they claim it's a printer driver issue.  So I am at a standstill
I researched the HP support forums only to find from this link - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02661093&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4089468&tmp... - that if you cannot scan from HP software that you can use the programs that rely on WIA drivers (Windows Fax and Scan) which I already know I can do but implies that HP does NOT have a solution for how to scan using their own software!
My gut tells me that this is one of those problems that many others may have but for which there is no workable solution.  It's possible that during the course of uninstalling and reinstalling the software, remnants may remain behind that prevent proper functioning of the drivers, but without knowing how to specifically "clean" those remnants before reinstalling the software, I am at a loss.  Oh and by the way, I've also tried using CCleaner and Norton Registry Cleaner in an attempt to clean those remnants, but that effort didn't help.
My question is basically this... does anyone know of a fix around this problem or must I resign myself to using the Windows Fax and Scan wizard to scan in documents and images and forget about using TWAIN programs as HP seems to be suggesting?  I would think that given that I am using an HP printer/scanner along with an HP computer with Windows 7 that this problem should NOT be a problem!
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Before attempting to install the printer on my computer (HP slimline s5-1160), I had been able to successfully install the printer previously on two other computers: a Lenovo T-410 laptop (work computer using Windows XP) and an HP Pavilion Elite HPE (wife's computer using Windows 7).
On those computers, I can use the TWAIN driver from within applications without a problem, and the HPSCAN.exe file works as well.  Both computers connect to the printer wirelessly.
It is while trying to install the printer on my home computer via USB that I am having all sorts of difficulty. I have also tried to connect my s5-1160 to the printer wirelessly from my computer. I also checked the Windows Services, and all seems fine there.  I also tried switching USB ports and cables.   Again, no luck with the scanning using TWAIN driver.
One other point: when I use the original installation CD that came with the printer to install on the s5-1160, the installation seems to stop when it says "Checking requirements for installation"  That didn't happen with the two other computers.   However, that problem doesn't happen the s5-1160 when I used the more recent version of the full software from the HP website.
Let me reiterate.  I have never had any problems with printing from any computer.  The scanner works fine from my s5-1160 if I resort to using the scanner and fax wizard using the WIA drivers.  What I am unable to do is to get the scanner to work from within an application using the TWAIN driver or if I use the native HP application (hpscan.exe).  Nothing seems to happen.   Because of that I cannot scan directly into a PDF.
And the only fix that the HP scan diagnostic utility continues to recommend is that I uninstall and reinstall the software.  It shows errors in the WIA scanning step and TWAIN step.
Is it possible that because of behind-the-scenes Windows updates that my s5-1160 is receiving that a software conflict is created that prevents the TWAIN driver from functioning properly?  Other than that I am at a loss to figure out why this is happening.

  • HP Laserjet Pro 400 Printer unable to print docs using both letter and legal paper

HELP!!  Have been using an HP Laserjet Pro 400 M425dn dual tray printer for 2 years, along with a Dell laptop.  Always had ability to send documents to print using both letter and legal size paper.  Under print set-up on laptop, the option checked was always set to "Choose Paper Source by PDF Paper Size".  Now I've just purchased an HP Envy All-in-One Desktop, which does not offer that option under Print Set-Up.  While it allows for 'Auto Selection' of paper size, you are required to choose either letter or legal size paper.  I've called tech support 3 times, the latest call earlier this am, only to be disconnected.  Yesterday I was told that I should go on hp/support and update drivers.  My husband downloaded drivers, but still no fix.  Unless this issue is resolved asap, I will have no option but to return this Envy Desktop, as I cannot run my business without this option.
Anyone have a similar problem?  How was it resolved?

The available options will (probably) be determined by the printer driver in use.
This , in turn, will be determined partly by which Operating System and version you are using.
Once a printer model has been out in the field for some time (generally when the next generation (or two?) of devices has been announced to supersede it) that model becomes a 'legacy' device, and 'full-specification' printer drivers may no longer be supplied by the printer manufacturer, but basic (i.e. without too many options) drivers will (probably) instead be supplied with the operating system.

  • HP LaserJet Pro 200 m251nw - Printing Gray instead of Black

    HI,
Hoping someone can help. I'm currently using a HP LaserJet Pro 200 m251nw printer, just over a year old, and it all of sudden started printing gray where it should be 100% black. From what I can see all the other colors seem to work fine.
I saw similar posts but nothing clear.
A new black toner cartridge was replaced, system settings restored, multiple cleanings, etc. I currently use a Mac Laptop running Mavericks with the latest drivers that I downloaded.
Am I out of luck? Is this beyond a software issue?
    Thank you,
    Chris

Thanks for providing that information clodsgn.
Since the self test is printing in gray, it would be a hardware issue. Possibly the toner, hardware or the fuser.
What are all the toner levels?
This can affect the output of the black printing.
Are you using all Genuine HP Toner?
The options are probably different, since you changed to Laserjet 251nw drivers. You can change driver back if you like.
Since right now we are looking at a hardware issue.
Run a calibration on the printer.
On the printer touch the wrench, system setup, print quality, color calibration calibrate now.
Print a Diagnostics Page to see if you have the same results. Trying to determine if it is a hardware or software issue.
Go to Setup, Reports, arrow down and select Diagnostics Report. Check the color blocks, any shadows, each corner check the L-shaped to see if the printer is alignment.
    Here is a screen shot:
Try this document to see if it will help.

Start at the section for Check toner cartridge status and finish up on Check the paper and printing environment.

  • Duplex scan - laserjet pro 200

I am using a HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw with Windows 7 Pro or Windows 8 Pro
    http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Printers/HP-LaserJet/CF145A?HP-LaserJet-Pro-...
What I would like to do is perform duplex scanning with this product. I am currently looking for freeware software which will give me the ability of merge two documents together. I have found some very buggy software which works in linux. Is there a method that will allow me to scan 2-sided documents into a single scan using this product? If not, do you know of a freeware software or HP supported software which will convert two seperate documents into a single document.
    -Ryan

    Hey Ryan,
Looking at the product specs for this printer I was able to see that it does not support automatic duplex scanning.  However, if you open the HP Scan or HP Laserjet Scan software on your PC, then there may be a checkbox at the very bottom right to allow for duplex scanning.  The settings will have to be set to the Automatic Document Feeder or ADF for this option to appear.
If this feature is not present, then the next best option will be to use a PDF Merging software as you were mentioning.  Take a look at PDF Split and Merge (PDF Sam for short).  I will provide a link below to this software download for convenience.

    Hope this helps,

  • Wireless Scanning in Laserjet Pro MFP M128

    Wireless Scanning feature not working

    Hello @sanjay_rnc,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I would like to assist you today with resolving the wireless scan issue that you're experiencing when trying to scan from your Windows 8.1 computer to your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M128 Printer. Now, you indicate that you're using the Laserjet m128 printer. Just to clarify, are you using the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M128fw or the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M128fn (What's my Model Number)?  The reason I ask is because the LaserJet Pro MFP M128fw is wireless. However, the LaserJet Pro MFP M128fn is not.
Once you confirm that your LaserJet Pro MFP M128 is the wireless version, can I please have you start by running the HP Print and Scan Doctor on your computer. This Tool will run on your computer and 'fix scanning' issues for you. Should any driver, connection, or software conflict be found, then the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool will attempt to resolve those conflicts for you.
    HP Print and Scan Doctor
Please respond to this post with the result of the HP Print and Scan Doctor. Should your wireless scanning issue still occur, please elaborate on exactly what occurs when you attempt to scan and if you get any errors. I look forward to hearing from you!

  • HCM Processes and Forms : Using single Form Scenario for Multiple Countries

    Hi ,
I have a requirement to design a HCM P&F form ( Single Process, Single Form Scenario ) to support multiple countries.  Form fields should be visible/invisible based on the country ( derived from the login Manager).  please help me with the following questions.
    1. Is it right way to enable/disable the fields in the same form scenario for multiple countries ( Approx. 20-25 countries)
    2. Is there any limitation to no. of fields on the form? does the form performs well with multiple dynamic conditions?
    3. If yes, what is the best way to do this? through Java Script / Back end Generic Service?
    Thanks in Advance,
    VR.

    Hi VR,
    1. Is it right way to enable/disable the fields in the same form scenario for multiple countries ( Approx. 20-25 countries)
-You can use same form scenario or process for multiple countries if you are using fields based on international structure HCMT_BSP_PA_XX_R*. If you intend to use country specific fields then you may like to use different form scenario for different countries.
    2. Is there any limitation to no. of fields on the form? does the form performs well with multiple dynamic conditions?
    - As such there is no limiation for the fields.Yes, form performs well with multiple rule configurations.
    3. If yes, what is the best way to do this? through Java Script / Back end Generic Service?
I interpret you would like to derive & show fields based on same backend logic, in that case you should generic service.
If you want to show fields based on manager's logon then you should also use authorization BAdi.
    Regards
    Pooja

  • LaserJet Pro M276nw Scanner will not use ADF

I have a LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw.  I installed all of the programs which came with it.  I also installed any updates that were indicated.  When I try to scan using the ADF, the unit does engage the ADF.  It scans from the glass only.  I can make caopies via the ADF, so the hardware is working.   The menu screen acknowledges the document is loaded.  Windows 7 then calls upWSD Scan Device.  This window offers 3 choices: Windows Fax and Scan Application,  Scan and Readiris.  Only the Readris will use the ADF.  However, I don't want to OCR the documents, merely get a single file of the scanned pages.
I really need to use the ADF for scanning multiple pages.

I had this issue also. Through research and trial and error I have corrected the issue. The issue is if you are using the Windows software to complete your scanning from the printer. Here is how to correct the issue...
1.Ensure your printer/scanner is on, connected and showing "Ready"
    2. Go to Control Panel, then Devices and Printers
    3. Find your Scanner in the list of connected devices. This can sometimes be an issue because it may install two instances of your printer, one actually being the printer and the other being the scanner. To tell if it is the scanner, right click on the device. If it does not have the Start Scan, Scan Profiles, or Scan Properties in the menu choices it is the wrong device.
    4. Once you have located your scanner, right click and select Scan Profiles. The profiles tell your computer and scanner what to do with each type of document.
    5. Under the Device column find the two profiles that match your SCANNER name. Each Scanner should have two
    profiles named "Document" and "Photo".
    6. Open your scanners profiles that has "Documents" in the name column. Select the checkbox for "Set this profile as default". Also, ensure the Source block has "Feeder" selected. Ensure the other settings are set as the picture below.
    7. Click "Save Profile"
    8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 on the profiles called Photo using the settings as shown below.
When scanning from the printer to the computer the type of document can be selected. When scanning using the top option on the menu, Scan to <computer name>, uses the scan profile that is set as the default. Other options on the scanner menu will use different profiles depending on the document type.
    For Example:
My computer is named Vaio (since its a Sony Vaio).
My m276nw has several choices under the Scan to Computer menu. This is Scan to Vaio to print, ...to email,...as OCR, and so on all of these choices will use the "Documents" profile discussed above.
If you scan photos, the best option would be to use a third party software such as Readiris that is provided by HP.
Hope this helps everyone, I know my frustration levels were up since I scan many multipage documents for school.

    Hello revlib,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Turning off the Wireless Direct on the LaserJet Pro 200 color M251nw should have disabled the SSID from broadcasting. Since disabling from the front display did not resolve, let us try from the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
To access the EWS you need to enter the I.P address for the M251nw into the address bar of your web browser. The I.P address can be collected by touching Setup ()> Reports> Network Summary.
Once in the EWS, click Network> Wireless Direct Setup> select Off and Apply.
