Use of Java 1.3.1 plug-in
Below is the HTML I am using to invoke a signed applet.
I am getting an "Applet not initialized." error message in the web browser, but I do not have any exceptions in the Java console showing up. Can anybody give me a clue as to what to change to help things out or get more debug information?

Somehow I am not being able to configure the java plug-in. I downloaded the exe file & proceeded with the installation. However, I donot seem to find out how to convert my applet tags into object tags. Also, the java console never shows up when the applet is downloaded, even though java control panel is running in the background with the console option enabled.
Suggestions are most welcome!

I have recently upgraded my work MBA to OSX 10.9.1 and need to use the Chrome browser to access several work sites. These work sites also need Java to run. I have followed the below procedures:

When I check Java version in Terminal, I get:

However, when I follow the instructions from the second link, the response to the second command (sudo mv /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/disabled) yields the following response:
mv: rename /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin to /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/disabled/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin: Not a directory
In http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572, it indicates that "On systems that have not already installed Java for OS X 2012-006, this update disables the Java SE 6 applet plug-in. To use applets on a web page, click on the region labeled "Missing plug-in" to download the latest version of the Java applet plug-in from Oracle". How do I get the Java SE 6 applet plug-in back to use in Chrome?

ThorstenHi Stefan. Thanks for your post. I have already done that. It still does not work. As a base for my java helper class I have usesd Thorstens code.
The problem is quite confusing. I will try to ouline both issues here.
First of all, when try to test from within the Operation Mapping, I always get a java error saying it cannot find the communication channel (it is there and working because I have tested it with the RFCLookup in graphical mapping). I have found a way to work around this, and that is to uncheck the "Use SAP XMLToolkit" checkbox --> switch to test tab, enter my ReceiverService in the parameter tab (header parameter) --> switch back to Definition tab, check the "Use SAP XMLToolkit" checkbox --> switch to Test tab and run the test. Then the XSLT and call to java helper class will work. Of course this is not really something you want to do all the time. Maybe there is a bug.
Secondly, it never works when I try to do it "live". I am using a file adapter to pick up one file, convert it and a file adapter to drop the converted file. I get the following error code in SXMB_MONI.

Access certificate from a DoD CAC card with Sun Java 1.4.2 Plug-in
We are using CAC cards with ActivCard Software. We are using Sun Java JVM 1.4.2 with Internet Explorer. The problem is that Sun Java does not use the certificate in the browser certificate store for HTTPS client authentication.
The solution from Sun is to export the certificate as a PKCS12 format and add 3 parameters to the Java Plug-in. The parameters are
-Djavax.net.ssl.keyStore=<client_keystore_file_path>
-Djavax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword=<password to access the client keystore file>
-Djavax.net.ssl.keyStoreType=<keystore_type>
Exporting the certificate from the CAC card is not an option for us.
This is a big problem for us. Does anyone have any ideas on a way to get the Java Plug-in to access the CAC card without having to export the certificate?You could use JVM 1.3.X because it uses SSL from the Internet Explorer, not the JSSE SSL.
Apart of this, you could see if the implementation of PKCS#11 for the forthcoming J2SDK 1.5 works with your card AND if JSSE can use the PKCS#11 Sun Provider. Download the beta and try it. -

Netweaver Portal(EP) is a frontend which provides one solid interface to all your applications, whether they are SAP or not. It runs on the java platform.
You can develop pure j2ee applications using the Netweaver Developer Studio, it has plug-ins which help in developing SAP technologies such as Web Dynpro, but you don't have to use it, you can develop your application using pure java technologies like EJB, jsp, etc. It also provides a solution for deploying your apps to the web application server.
In EP & WebDynPro, you can easily code if you have Java knowledge.Java is a big part of being a Portal Developer.

Problems downloading Java 1.4.1 plug-in
Hello. I need to download the Java 1.4.1 plug-in but am having the same problem every time. I'm using a dial-up (56k) connection and have downloaded the latest version of internet explorer. I have also removed the old Java versions from my computer. I keep getting the same error about 2/3 through the download. The error is:
"The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity, and try again".
I am downloading directly from the Java site so I don't understand why I keep getting this error. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
RichMan... you probably resumed your downloading over a period of time, that means you did not fully download the whole file at one go? The program you used to resume probably backtracked afew bytes and it resulted in the error...
If that is not the case, just grab the file from other sources like Kazaa and try... I am quite sure its not the site because I just tried downloading and it works fine ;) -

Hi, is it possible to add a complex filter to a DESKI report using the JAVA report engine sdk?
In the developer tutorials for this API, I've only found references to WEBI in terms of modifying reports, though it seems to be possible to view DESKI reports with this sdk.
I am a bit confused in terms of the scope of this API and how I would use it in regard to DESKI.

Current (XI R2) version of ReportEngine API only supports refreshing/viewing functionality for Desktop Intelligence documents. Document modification/creation is only supported with Web Intelligence documents. You should check your documentation about which java classes you need to reference in the "import" section of your UDF. And also deploy the java classes into the java stack or include them as a imported archive in integration repository...it should be stated in the seeburger documentation.

they all look like the program I posted first time,, once executed, they will run for ever, and they will be stopped until I press CRTL + C;
Now I hope to use another java class StopProgram.java to stop them 1 by 1 or at once instead of pressing CRTL + C;
In this case, how to code this StopProgram.java ??

I have got a situation where i need to use sun java server to authenticate users and groups who can log into the BPEL worklist application.
This is what i have done.
I went to middleware services,BPEL,orabpel and to hw services.
There i changed the Security provider to thrid party LDAP Server.
the LDAP connection is successfull.
But when i m loggin onto the Worklist App it says Username invalid .Somehow it autheticates against systemjazndata.xml file .But it's not supposed to do so and validate against the ldap.
