Use of selection, inversion & field only tabs in datasource

Hi,
What is the use of the tab
selection, inversion & field only know in customer exit
in datasource.
Also is there any other use of hide tab except unhiding it to reflect in BI system.

1.Selection of a Field of a DataSource
Selection field for a DataSource
Use
Set this indicator to use a field from the DataSource as the selection field in the Scheduler for BW.
Due to the properties of the DataSource, not every field can be used as a selection field. In this case, the property is not changeable.
2. Hide Extract Structure Field
Use
To exclude a field in the extraction structure from the data transfer, set this flag. The field is then no longer available in BW for determining transfer rules and therefore cannot be used for generating transfer structures.
3. inversion
Field Inverted When Cancelled (*-1)
The field is inverted in the case of reverse posting. This means that it is multiplied by (-1). For this, the extractor has to support a delta record transfer process, in which the reverse posting is identified as such.
If the option Field recognized only in Customer Exit is chosen for the field, this field is not inverted. You cannot activate or deactivate inversion if this option is set.
4. field only
Flag Relevant RNOTECREL
The indicator Field known only in Exit is set for the fields in an append structure, meaning that by default, these fields are not passed to the extractor in the field list and the selection table.
Procedure
Remove the Field known only in Exit indicator, to get the Service API to pass the field in the append structure to the extractor

How can I get the tab key to select text fields only?

Since upgrading to Firefox 4 on Windows, the tab key functions differently. How do I change it so that it only selects text input fields?

The answer is: The bug is in the UI. Speech recognition was enabled, by default it uses the bare escape key as a "mic on" indicator, and it does not leave any trace in the keybord configuration. So that is the bug. It needs to leave a trace there, a la: "X Listen-for-voice-command ^" under Mission Control.

How do I use a Select-Options field without Ranges?

Hi,
I understand that by using the NO-EXTENSION option on the Select-Options statement I can limit the user to entering only one line...either a single value or a range of values.
However, is there a way to allow multiple lines of single values, but not allow any of those lines to be a range...just a series of single values only?

Amit,
I do not see they yellow arrow "before" "to", but I see it "after" "to".
When I click the arrow I am able to add ranges. I would like to prevent the user from entering Ranges.

Printing "Form Fields Only" not working correctly in Adobe XI

I have a pdf form with fields including check boxes. If I print this form with all fields it prints correctly, but if I select "Form Fields Only" then all check boxes print as checked regardless of whether or not they are checked. When I use this form in earlier versions of Adobe I do not get this problem. Any ideas or solutions?

Also the "PrintParams" properties require version 6 or above of Acrobat/Reader.
One has to review the Acrobat JavaScript API for all sorts of version variations in the way Acrobat's JS object works. And the documention is not always correct.

Trouble printing "Form fields only"

I've added text to a document, and have selected "Form fields only" for printing but the form fields do not appear. The fields do appear when I print the entire document. I am using XI Standard, and I've printed form fields before. Any suggestions?

I found the problem... I had added Text through "Edit Text & Images", when I switched to adding a Comment text, I was able to print the "Form Fields Only"

Printing "Form fields only" reverses the "x" marks

I am printing an insurance claim pdf form. I fill out the form in Acrobat Pro. When I print the form document, it prints correctly. When I print the form selecting "form fields only" (It's better for me to do this), ALL the box check marks (the x's) are reversed! So if a box is checked on the form, it prints unchecked. If a box is unchecked, it prints checked. I am using Acrobat 11.0.0. Mac 10.7.2
Any ideas to help with this?

Use of Selection period in Plant settings

If the MRP see a requirement of a SO, it looks for forecasts if they can be decreased according to this SOu2019s requirement. It looks for it from the date of the SO first backward or forward according to the setting.
And if looks for the forecast in the given day in the appropriate direction.

Smart Object - Cropping on a Layer via Select- Inverse- Backspace

OK, I have learned that you can't "Crop" on a layer, but instead should use the Select->Inverse->Backspace procedure to essentially "crop" a photo. But this procedure does not work on a Smart Object photo.
I have also found out that if you Simplify the Smart Object, the above cropping procedure works.
So now I need some help on understanding what I lose when I go from a Smart Object to a Simplified Object. It appears that I can still resize, rotate, etc. the photo, so what am I missing.

Michel- I guess everything is not as good as I thought. I guess I mis-read the "Copy to Layer" (cropped) image as still being a Smart Object (when my wife did it), but this morning when I repeated the procedure, I ended up with a Simplified cropped image.
So the effect is the same -- i.e. either way you end up with a Simplified cropped image (whether you do a Layer->Simplify Layer and then do a Select->Inverse->Backspace OR you merely outline the area you want cropped with the rectangle and then do a "Copy from Layer).
And even I can see if I want to do any significant resizing (enlarging that is), I need to be working with a Smart Object because the Simplified start pixilating very quickly when enlarged.
I also think I finally figured what the little boxes in the lower right corner of the Layer palette icon is -- it indicates Smart Object, right. I didn't see that explained anywhere. Also, more education is needed in the Help Documentation about Smart Objects. Thanks for your initial response -- and these forums are life savers.

Update-changed-fields-only tag

I have a problem using the "update-changed-fields-only" tag in oc4j v 9.0.2.0.0:
I set it on true but it still make the update on ALL the entity fields :(
This is a real problem when I made independent changes on different fields of the same record in one method using different instances of a entity bean: the container makes a final update on ALL the fields losing changes I previousely made in the method.
Is there a way to avoid this?

During Datasource Generation in LO extraction , I can see the tabs
Slection
Hidefield
Inversion
Fild only.
Can any on please explain me elobarately each of them.

If you do a F1 on each you'll have a description, but here is a summary:
Selection: You want to be able to select a value in this characteristic through the infopackage
Hide: You don't want to be able to see this field.
Inversion: For a key figure, change sign. 1 becomes -1 and vice versa.
Field Only: Field is available only for user exits and such but is not extracted.

Field selection for Account Assignment Tab in PR

I set up my own field selection key where only storage location can be changed after release.
But when I do the test, I found that not only the storage location field but also all the fields in Account Assignment Tab can be changed!!! (Like cost center, profit center and GL account etc)
So, please help me to control the fields in Account Assignment Tab. I can't find related setting.

You guys misunderstood.
Here's my business flow:
I enter PR with account assignment K, input cost center and then save.
After PR is released, there's only storage location can be changed.
So I set up my own field seletion key in which I set storage location as optional, and other fields as display.
But when I use ME52N to check my released PR, not only storage location but also all the fields in Account Assignment Tab can be changed!
I can't find the corresbonding setting for cost center or GL account in "Define Screen Layout at Document Level".
I can't use OME9 either, because once I set cost center as display, I have no change to enter even if I use ME51N.
Sorry I didn't make myself clear enough. Hope you understand now and please help me to solve it. Thanks a lot.

I would like to ask you in the datasource there are 2 option si would liek to know when are they used.
1) Inversion
2) Field Only
And Field only does this need to be checked when its custom enhancement t structure or can be checked for other reasons aswell.Please explain.

usually inversion feature is useful for DS carrying customized Keyfigures which has -ve sign
before loading to BW ,the value will be mulitplied by -1 and goes to BW
check this SAP note:
Inversion
Reverse postings are possible for customer-defined key figures. For this reason, inversion is only possible for certain transaction data DataSources. These include DataSources that have a field that is indicated as an inversion field, for example, the field update mode in the DataSource 0FI_AP_3. If this field has a value, then the data records are interpreted as reverse records in BW.
Set the Inversion indicator if you want to carry out a reverse posting for a customer-defined field (key figure). The value of the key figure is then transferred in inverted form (multiplied by 1) into BW.

Field only known in exit
You can enhance data by extending the extract structure for a DataSource using fields in append structures.
The indicator Field only known in Exit is set for fields of an append structure. In other words, by default these fields are not passed onto the extractor from the field list and selection table.
Deselect the indicator Field Only Known in Exit to enable the Service API to pass on the append structure field to the extractor together with the fields of the delivered extract structures in the field list as well as in the selection table.
