Use of Spatial in connection with ODP

I can't find anything about this subject. Is it possible to retrieve and update spacial geometry data using ODP?

Can you possibly post some sample code demonstrating a spatial query? Some of the developers in my group have not had any luck with getting spatial queries to work. I've also seen some postings on this forum about ODP.NET not supporting the necessary data types for spatial queries. I'd prefer to use ODP.NET but without spatial queries I can't.

I use the remote desktop connection on the Macbook pro and am unable to exchange info between the mac and the remote connetion windows. For example, if I am writing an email from the remote connection and want to attach a document, photo etc. that I created on the Mac, it just doesn't work. It seems like the Mac and the desktop connection are completely seperated eventhough they are both on the screen in front of me. the systems I use for work are not Apple compatible and will not work on anything other than windows explorer and in my case the remote desk top connection. Any ideas!

we are using weblgoic 5.1 SP9 JDK1.2.2
we already using java.net.Socket and java.lang.Thread
to communication TANDEM Machine on the weblogic.
the reason why we use to socket and thread even though it is not
recommanded is that below
1. once we connect Socket, then we using until server shutdown or
connection may has the problem, so we're using thread to wait
java.io.Inputstream to read from socket.(if I using EJB, It can't
wait socket inputstream indefinetly, because it has timeout)
2. we're logging Database date sent or received with TANDEM Machine.
so we need Database Access. so we using Database Access
thru Weblogic.
3. EJB Application using (other EJB Application - send Module)
to send data to TANDEM Machine. So "Send Module" should
be implemented EJB.
but. Now I see there might be problem this framework.
so, is there some way by just using J2EE spec, to implement this kind of
framework.

Yes i've tried interrupt method and it doesn't have any effects on the thread... it stay in connect() method...
And for the timeouts, in fact i use an API : J2SSH, to connect with SSH protocol, and the setting of connection timeouts is not implemented yet... and the default timeout is about 4 minutes...
so i don't know how to solve this problem...

How can I use oracle 9i to connect with my jsp

I have a question with my a little final year project. I have been install oracle 9i on Win2000. I also install apache and tomcat on Win98 and it works properly. I am trying to use jsp to develop my homepage and it can be connect with my oracle to retreive information. I'm wondering what steps/configure I need to do?

Using a dongle and connecting with an Xbox 360...

Hi guys,
Quick question, i've moved into my new uni place but it hasn't got any internet. So im looking at getting a dongle but I still want to hook up my xbox to xbox live. Is there a way of feeding the internet through my imac (which is using the dongle) to the xbox. If its any help i do have the extra wireless box for the xbox and also an either-net cable.

You X-Box can connect to the internet thru the Mac using either wifi or ethernet, whichever works best for you.
If you want Ethernet, connect a cable between them
If you want wifi, you need to first create a network.
System prefs -> Network.
Select Airport then click on Network name: and select *Create network...*.
Give it a name, tick require password.
Now go System prefs -> Sharing.
Click on *Internet Sharing*.
Set *Share your connection from:* and select the dongle (likely showing up as USB).
If you connect them using Ethernet, set *To computers using:* and select Ethernet.
If you connect them using wifi, set *To computers using:* and select Wifi.
You will need to enable wifi on the X-Box and connect with the password you set above.

At few month ago , i am using PPPoE connection with WRT54G , when playing WOW , it works fine !!
However , I change ISP at this month , the new ISP is DHCP connection , when playing WOW with WRT54G , the lagging is very serious . ( but if I direct plug the cable to the computer , the game work fine....)
And one thing I found is the ping always time out(connecting with WRT54G) , the following is one example

It sounds as though you may have SBC's DSL. IT sucks. Sorry to say this but it is true. Also, check your wireless settings and make sure the port triggering is set correctly. A dynamic IP should not effect the game. You may also want to change the frequency you are operating on if you are surrounded by other prople with networks. WEP security can slow this process as well. If possible, use WPA or WPA2.

Sorry but the USB port on the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) supports printing ONLY. It does not support scanning.

PC version of MX on iMac using Parallels can't connect with server - HELP!!!

I can connect via Filezilla with no problem, and during the site setup process the TEST SETTINGS says it can connect with my remote server. But when I attempt to actually connect, it finds the server but cannot seem to establish a connection. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!! My settings are all verified from a Windows PC and via Filezilla.....

Thanks for responding so quickly! Yes, the internet does work through Parallels. When atempting to log in to the remote server, it finds the host, but then hangs up during the connect phase. However when I set up the site, and test the settings it says it can connect with no probem...

How IPAD use the Printer which connected with the Time Capsule

I connnected a printer to time capsule. And I can use the printer in Windows. But I can't use it on IPAD and IPHONE.
So are there any solutions?

iOS devices can only print directly to AirPrint printers. Wireless printers or printers connected to a Time Capsule are not necessarily AirPrint capable.
To print directly from an iPad / iPhone you will need an AirPrint compatible printer or another device to act as a print server. That can be a Mac computer running Printopia ($19.95 with free trial) or handyPrint (donation - supported). The Mac must be "on" but may be asleep for them to work. Equivalent PC options exist but you're on your own finding them.

The xPrintServer Home Edition will support a directly connected USB printer. The Network Edition will support any network printer.
These options enable you to use any printer available to your Mac, even older ones that may predate AirPrint by decades.

I have changed My DNS to Google and Verizon and now get intermittent connections but mostly failure to connect. I believe this is a DNS issue with Apple domain. Have they modified their address registrations? Why is At&T cellular working but not my wireless that's Verizon ISP?

I see no need to downgrade or restore to factory defaults. It is only spefcific to one wifi network - my work. The one at home works fine. I am wondering if the problem has something to do with iOS 6 not liking the router, or the password, etc. Upgrades shouldn't downgrade functionality - why should I have to use the now inferior OS to maintain wifi functionality - that's ridculous. Does anyone from Apple monitor these forums? It would be nice to get an answer from the source of the issue - which is clearly Apple's new OS because everything was working fine before I upgraded to iOS 6 yesterday.

Definition of Workset
A workset is usually assigned to a job role. It may also embed other smaller worksets. Tasks are the activities that are performed in the context of a workset. A task can be more or less complex. Some tasks may require a larger set of services, while others correspond to one single interaction step. Depending on this, the workspace design will based on portal pages filled with iViews either give an overview and will provide access to related services or it will directly offer in-place actions.
So far, the concept of worksets has been limited to stateless iView collection that are used to deploy and assign targeted content to portal users. In a second step, this concept can be generalized to support instantiated, state-full worksets that represent a current state of a working process. That is, iViews may no longer be stateless but communicate with each other, or depend on each other.

You're only allowed to authorize 5 devices with your apple id.
How many have you got authorized?
Maybe deauthorize one of them.

Thank you for your reply. I tried all that you suggested but nada! Nothing worked.
So I brought the Sony Camcorder back to the store (as it was brand new a couple of days old) and exchanged it for a Canon Legria HF R206 HD.
I can now easily upload the video and photos from this camcorder onto my MacBook and it all works fine that way.
But my MAIN PROBLEM is that iMovie in my iPad2 can't read the content of the camcorder using iMovie?
I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fact that I'm using a different version of iMovie on the MacBook vs the iPad 2. Everything works fine using version iMovie 09 ver. 8.0.5 (820) on the MacBook.
I'm using iMovie version 122 ( 2010-2011) on the Ipad2.
After going back to the store and dropping an extra 20 Euro as I was advised that this Camcorder does work well with all Apple products, I now find that it may be the version of iMovie that is preventing the upload to iPad2.
Can you shed any of your wisdom on this for me please?
