The entire family has used one itunes account for years. How do we all set up separate iCloud accounts now? Or should we? 5 macbooks, 2 ipads, 4 iphones, 2 itouch, 2 imacs.   How does one decide what to sync, share and what not to? Green Jeans.

You need to start by understanding the distinction between iTunes and iCloud - Apple confuse the issue by referring to 'iTunes Match' as part of iCloud. It isn't.
You don't have to have the same login (Apple ID) for iTunes and iCloud; many people don't and there's no problem about it.
Your iCloud ID gets you email, calendars, contacts, iWork documents and PhotoStream syncing between devices.
Your iTunes ID gets you the iTunes Store, the App Store for iOS, the Mac App Store for OSX,, 'iTunes in the Cloud' (downloading of purchased items to any logged-in device) and 'iTunes Match' (uploading of songs not purchased in the iTunes Store).
Your family members can easily each get their own iCloud account to keep email etc. separate - in each case they will need a different non-Apple email address (a free one from Yahoo etc. would do) to set up the ID. If they are sharing a Mac they need to be using a separate user account.
They can have their own iCloud accounts and still all sign into the same iTunes account: or they can open their own iTunes accounts using their new iCloud Apple IDs.
BUT they cannot transfer items purchased under the present iTunes ID to different iTunes IDs.

  • Can I use one itunes account for multiple users and multiple devices

Can I use one itunes account for multiple users and multiple devices?

The iTunes EULA, as I understand it (I'm not an attorney )for Apps is basically that one person can use an App multiple devices, or multiple people can use an App one device..so one to many or many to one, but not many to many....

  • Sharing Music: using one iTunes account for two users on one MacBook Air

I'm trying to set up my parents on their new MacBook Air and I have set up an account for each of them. To keep their music collection simple & compact I want them both to use one iTunes account on the one machine. Can two separate users work off the same iTunes account on the one machine?
I have tried the Home Sharing function but this seems to be for separate machines rather than accounts.
I have also tried putting the music into a shared folder but this hasn't worked properly for me as the secondary account is able to purchase (but not download) the music correctly from iTunes.
    Any help appreciated. Thank you.

  • Is using one Apple Account for a family of two the best way to go?

We are a family of two; at the beginning, I was the only Mc user (iPhone, MacBook Air and iMac). Then my wife got an iMac, an iPad and just ordered an iPhone. Our problem is that we are both using my same Apple Account and ID - which is fine because we want to share our calendars, phone book etc… Is this the best way to go, or should I create an Apple Account for her and then run the option Family Share ? What do you recommend ? How do I proceed with an eventual change ?

Just sign out of the account on her devices, then sign into the new account, don't forget Find My Phone (it it is active)
    iCloud calendars can be shared.

  • Using ONE Microsoft account for more than 100 Windows devices

I developed an application for company customers and it is listed on the windows store now. I need to use only ONE Microsoft e-mail for so many devices for my users. How to log in on all the devices with the same e-mail instead of creating one for each
user and for each new user?
    Ahmed Abd El-Karim

When talking about the phone the maximum number of devices on a single account is 5. When it comes to Windows 8.1 on PCs and Tablets it's 88 but you can not use it on more than that.
If this is intended for company deployment you can do that using sideloading by either getting a sideloading key or joining the devices to a domain or using a company certificate for Windows Phones.
Deploying it via the Store is not a viable option there.

  • Using one CC account on two PCs?

I have a PC tower that I have my CC account on, but since it is a tower, I am forced to do all my work at that one location. So, I was wondering if I bought a PC lap top I could have my CC account on both PCs, or would I have to purchase a separate CC account for it? If I can share my account, what steps do I take to do that?
    Thank you for you time.
    Apollos

So, I was wondering if I bought a PC lap top I could have my CC account on both PCs
    Simple answer: yes.
The Cloud is designed for exactly your scenario.
One Cloud license entitles you to two activations.

Can I use the software I download from Creative Cloud on more than one machine?
Yes. Creative Cloud desktop applications can be downloaded and installed on multiple computers, regardless of operating system. However, activation is limited to two machines per individual associated with the membership. See the terms of use for more information. Learn how to deactivate a Creative Cloud license on a machine.
On the 2nd computer you install the Cloud same as you did originally: sign in to your account at www.adobe.com, download the Cloud desktop app then download the apps.

  • HT1296 can i use one outlook account with two icloud accounts

I am running MS outlook 2010 on Windows XP platform and my wife and I both have iCloud accounts.  I wanted to know whether or not both iCloud accounts could be automatically synced with my MS Outlook contacts/calendars.
I have no problem using one account at a time but hate the idea of having to toggle between the two accounts to keep outlook current.
    Thank you.

Yes you can, iTunes will identify your phone by serial number and phone number.
Best if you can to set different name to your phone under SETTINGS/GENERAL/ABOUT/Name and to name like e.g. iphone3G and the other iPhone 4s.
So everytime you sync, itunes will backup your phone's contents and data and you will be able to identify from the backup files correctly in future.

  • HT4436 Can I use one iCloud account for multiple apple ID's - ie, all of those that are part of our family sharing?

There are five members of my family and we each have multiple devices, it seems.  I want to know if we can set up one iCloud account where we can store all of our iTunes downloads (movies, TVshows, & music) from more than one account.

Purchases may not be transferred from one account to another.

  • I am not able to open my itunes store account in my apple iphone. What is the security code? Where can i get the security code to fill in the form of apple itunes store account?

    iphone 4 32 gb
    version 7.1.2 (11D257)
when i open the account itones store asks a security code. I purchased this device from another person. i dont know the security code to fill in the format.

The security code is the Apple ID of the person who setup the account.  You will need to have the person you purchased the iPhone from remove their information from the iPhone.

  • One itunes account for 3 iPhone 4

I am using 3 iPhone 4 in my family. Is there any problem for using one itunes account for 3 iphones?

No, you can sync as many devices as you want to the same iTunes account, there is no limit. You can have the same content on each device or different content, the choice is yours. iTunes will keep track of the content on each device, including separate backups.
