Use testing branch but not on all packages.

I use testing branch w/o no problem but I want to disable some packages being fetched from testing in favour of core/extra. For example openoffice-base (I want stable oo). Is there some way to select packages that are not get from testing?

I don't have a general solution to this, but for one package you might want to try the following:
If a package name exists in more than one repo, the repo can be explicitly specified to clarify the package to install: pacman -S testing/qt
Taken from the manpage of pacman.
So if you want to explicitly install openoffice from the "stable" repositories you might want to do this with
pacman -S extra/openoffice-base
I don't know whats happening when updating, unfortunately, but I guess pacman will try to update the package from the same repository it was installed.

We checked it with an iPhone 5 in house multiple times and could not reproduce this Problem. Must be something specific to your device. Maybe your speakerphone volume is turned down completely?

Correct termocouple reading by VI channel test panel but not by DAQ wizards.

1. I am getting correct termocouple readings when using the virtual channel test panel, but not when using labView software created by the DAQ wizards. why and how to solve it?
2. I am unable to switch on 6V relay using DAQ card's output voltage but able to do so using other voltage supply. How to solve this?

In answer to #2, the DAQ card's analog and digital outputs cannot drive
enough current to turn on a relay. What you need to do is use the output to
drive a MSOFET or transistor that will drive the relay. You can use the 5V
computer supply that is available on the DAQ card connector as the power
supply that the MOSFET or transistor use to turn the relay on.

Try a SMC reset, please do it 2-3 times.
SMC RESET
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

SQLDEVELOPER works since it use JDBC Thin & does not use tnsnames.ora
ORA-12154 ALWAYS only occurs on SQL Client & no SQL*Net packets ever leave client system
ORA-12154 [B]NEVER[/B] involves the listener, the database itself or anything on the DB Server.
ORA-12154 occurs when client requests a connection to some DB server system using some connection string.
TNS-03505 is thrown by tnsping & is same error as ORA-12154 thrown by sqlplus or others.
The lookup operation fails because the name provided can [B]NOT[/B] be resolved to any remote DB.
The analogous operation would be when you wanted to call somebody, but could not find their name in any phonebook.
The most frequent cause for the ORA-12154 error is when the connection alias can not be found in tnsnames.ora.
The lookup operation of the alias can be impacted by the contents of the sqlnet.ora file; specifically DOMAIN entry.

IMovie works in Test account but not in main user account

I have been having issues with iMovie such as lag time and trailers not playing back properly in preview mode. I created a new user account to see if it was isolated to my own user and sure enough the problems went away and iMovie is working smoothly.
So what could be causing the issue on my user account? I tried to usual suspects: repair permissions, delete preferences, etc., but nothing helped.
Any ideas?

I can access a function in a package using OCI drivers but not PDO drivers

Hello all, i am a newbie to Oracle and its drivers for PHP. I would like to use PDO, and I have my database activity in packages, which have procedures and functions. My package has overloaded functions and that has been giving me a tough time with these drivers. So one signature of my function get_data contains a four arguments and all four are numbers, while another signature of get_data has the first two as numbers and the next two as varchar2. So when I try to access this function which is part of a package, I am able to retrieve data, and the driver I am using is OCI8, but when I try to do the same with PDO, it does not work. It gives me this error,

I am still perplexed why is PDO giving me an error, when I have virtually mentioned everything is asks for?

I think the only person who can really answer this question is Chris Jones. For my money I tend to steer clear of PDO as it is a bit quirky ( at least in my experience ) and it does not support reference cursors.

My HP Deskjet 1510 All-in-One Prints Test Page But not emails or Web Pages, ect

My Deskjet 1510 All-in-One Printer is Hooked up. All tests show a Green Arrow, It is Turned on, and Online. It will Print a TEST PAGE, but nothing else. I have Run the HP DR Support program several times to no avail. No Error Codes or Signs appear. It simply will NOT WORK other than printing a TESTPAGE or Scanning Copies on the Printer/Copy Machine. Please Help. I have been trying to get it to work for a week. It IS a New Printer. I have tried it on 2 seperate Computers which work well with other Brands of Printers. One Runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit, Acer Aspire Desktop. The Other a Dell T5400 running Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit . Printer is set as DEFAULT. ALL SOFTWARE is UPDATED AND INSTALLED. It says it is installed properly, and that it is Hooked up Properly, Yet it will NOT work properly. Thank you.

Welcome to the HP Community , I read through your post about the printing issues you have been having, and I hope to help you! Seeing how the printer will make copies and test print tells us that the printer itself is fine and there is no hardware issues. However, seeing how printing from two different computers will not work, flags a software problem on the computers. Please try out the steps below and get back to me with the results and we will go from there. If you did not install the Full Driver, run the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows to search and install the complete driver and software. This will need to run on both computers individually. Manually restart the print spoolers on the computers:1. Click Start
2. Type "Services" in the search field.
3. Open SERVICES
4. At the bottom, click "Extended View"
5. Search for Print Spooler
6. Right-click it and choose Properties
7. Select as Automatic in the drop down box, close the Window
8. Right click on Print Spooler and choose "Stop", wait until it stops and then right click again and "Start".

Mysterious contact in email compose but not in "all contacts"

I have an ipad2 3g and an iphone 4s. Using my iphone I went to send a message to "mom". This message was an email. I typed "mom" into address and pressed enter. It did not select my contact, just pressed enter too fast.
Now when I go to send an email to "mom" I have 2 "mom"s shown. The first contact is in bold with the email address shown and the second one is not. In fact this second "mom" is nowhere except on my iphone. Not in gmail, not on the ipad, not in "all contacts" nor exchange nor icloud. I don't know how to delete it. That is what is driving me insane.
Ok, just for fun I compose another email with a random name "abc" Now "abc" is this ghost contact that is nowhere to be found.
This might put some light on the matter for someone much smarter than I am. I typed "abc" and wrote "test" in the subject then pressed send. The device tells me I'm an idiot because "abc" is not a valid email address. I tell it to send anyways. Then I get an error. Now "abc" is an option when I type "abc" to choose from, but of course it's nowhere, but only shows up when i compose an email and type "a" I don't need to type anymore because it is the first one to be shown above "amanda".
I am seriously pulling my hair out. I want these 2 contacts gone, but I don't know how.

Here's what I have tried after this email. I turned off icloud and I turned off contacts on gmail exchange. So I choose to compose an email, because I still have my gmail account set up on the devies, and I typed in "a" and there is a list that comes up. Everyone that has an "A" in their name is shown. I recognize most of them from my address book on gmail but there are quite a few that are not in my address book. Some that I have never emailed.
So now I'm hunting on google chrome gmail and I seached for some of the email address and some come up and some don't that were in a mass email list. I've deleted those, but they are still on the ipad and iphone somehow. I can't search for them in gmail because nothing comes up.
Is there any setting that has the auto complete on composing an email only show email addresses in my address book?
