Use the image previews generated by InDesign?

Hello
I would like to know if its possible to use the preview images that InDesign generate and that are used in the link palette?
To generate my own previews and caching them can be quite expensive if the document has a lot of large images.

Try open img file using some software.
You need a software to mount the img file.

If thinstead of using an img file, just use this command.
repair-bde e: d: -rp xxxx-xxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxx -f -lf c:\log.txt
where d is the portable disk whereyou want the data and d drive should at least
equal to e drive.
Where xxxx-xxxx-xxxxx is the 48 digit recovery password.
-lf will generate a log file and point to a certain location, here I have pointed to c drive.
After repair-bde is completed, run chkdsk /f on D drive, then try to access your data.

The built-in previews are ONLY used initially for speed.
If you have this set, then turn on quick preview and you'll be able view your images when the embedded previews. But Aperture will not use these previews *forever* - it's only to be faster during import.
You may be misunderstanding what this feature is for and how it's meant to be used. It's to make import and initial photo editing (picking your best shots) much faster - along the lines of the speed of Photo Mechanic, which it is.
It is not intended to permanently use the camera generated JPEG preview a the preview. That woudn't really make sense as it doesn't represent how it looks.

2 Questions: 1. How do I spot what images are RGB using the separations preview? 2. Is there an easy way to convert those to CMYK without opening each one in PS? I did this before all the time but I'm rusty and can't remember how I did it. I'm on CS6.

You can one of several methods to find out:
(1) You can use the Links panel. Open the Links panel. Go the panel menu and choose Panel Options. In the Panel Options dialog, Under Show Column check "Color Space". Now when you view your Links panel it will show the color space of all linked images.
(2) You could use Preflight, and set up a Preflight Profile. In the profile, go to the Color section > Color Spaces and Modes Not Allowed, and check RGB. Then any RGB images would be flagged.
(3) If you need to know BEFORE you place the images, use Adobe Bridge. Open the folder where the image are. Use the Metadata panel and view the color space of the images.

How can I use the templates I generated in CS5 Bridge, in Lightroom 4.4 ?
It appears that I can not link the templates which I have been using in Bridge for some time to Lightroom 4.4.
Is this done on purpose?

I assume these are metadata templates?
in Bridge, apply a template to an image which has no other metadata (eg a dummy image ) and then import the image into Lightroom, ensuring no metadata applied in the Import dialog. Now in Lightroom's Metadata panel, save the metadata as a new Metadata Preset.
Repeat for each template.

If the scan is in B&W, then play with the Threshold setting here
If it's in Color, then you will have to open the scan in a Raster editing software (like Photoshop) and play with the Brightness/Contrast settings to make the lines bolder.

I am getting JavaScript Errors when I attempt to use the Multiscreen Preview function in DW CS 5.

When I attepmpt to use the Multiscreen Preview button in DW CS 5 I get the following error:
"While executing onShow in MultiscreenPreview.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occured:
In file "Multiscreen Preview":
onShow is not defined"
This leads to either an unusable multiscreen preview box or another series of similar JavaScript errors.
Is there a solution to this problem and if so what is it?

PS 6 locks up when I try to use the image size tool

I am trying to use the Web Service generated from BAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST. I have got the wsdl file, and trying to invoke it. But, while I can test the BAPI using the Airline ID AA, I can't test from the Web Service using the same data. It shows the error message - "Airline AA not found". Anyone having solution, please help. This is urgent.

Why are .jpg pictures blurry on the desktop of my MBPr in the image preview?

Hello All. I recently got a 13" Macbook Pro with Retina Display, and I'm running the latest version of Mountain Lion. I put several items on the desktop and noticed that all the .jpg files look blurry. However, when I move them to a different location, the image preview looks fine. The problem seems to only be happening with .jpg files. Please look at the following example: http://cl.ly/image/110z272W0x45
...I put an .mp3 file on the desktop (top) and the image looks fine. I then added just the album art to the desktop which is a .jpg (bottom), and it's blurry. When I turned that same image into a .png (middle), the preview looks fine again. Will someone please tell me what's going on? Thank you.

How to fit the images within textframe in indesign using javascript?

We are using the update script for updating the values in table.
If i am using images within textframe, the table is not fitting after updating it. Without using images the table is fitting.
First i have dragged the table in Indesign document. Then i have altered the image size and updated the table using Update script.
Finally i want to fit the table with the resized images.
Note: I can get the updated values in table . but i cannot get the resized images.( Now i can get the original image after updating the table)
Please help me if anyone has idea regarding this issue.
