Most new monitors will support standard DVI and VGA connections. Some may support Mini-DVI ports. That's about all I can tell you.
As for other factors I would look at monitor reviews - as many as you can - for the size and resolutions in which you are interested. There are a lot of products out there. You might try first doing a Google search to learn more about the meanings of the various specs the manufacturers provide so you might wade through the smoke and mirrors in search of meaningful information.

How to use At Selection Screen for fields whiledealing with Multiple Blocks

            In my requirement i am having 4 blocks.1st block with raduio buttons for activating the opther 3 Blocks.
              In these 3 blocks i am having some fields.
       How to do Validation for these fields.?
I am using At Selection-screen on S-SCAD1. I am getting error"S_SCACD1 is neither a selection screen nor a Parameter"
On the top of this" At Selection-screen on S-SCAD1" I am having"AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT."
                Can anybody tell me how to solve this error?

If you are using your block name than you should use like:
AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON BLOCK S-SCAD1.

In Safari?Tap on the Blue open book icon at the very top of the screen. There are two such icons, it is the one on top you want to tap to close the sidebar.

Replacement screen for iMac pre-calibrated?

I just received a new late 2013 iMac. There is a scratch on the screen and the reseller is saying they will replace the screen (a new machine will take ages they tell me).
If I get the screen replaced, will the replacement screen come pre-calibrated? I have read that Apple calibrate them at the factory - is this done for the screen component itself or done when the whole computer is assembled?
I don't want to replace the screen if it's not going to be as well calibrated.

Printing the help topics to use as a manual for iMac applications?

Is there a way to print out the help topics in their entirity to use as manuals for the various iMac applications? Also, can this be done from a PC?--I only have a decent printer at work, not at home where I have the iMac/

Try another cable, it should work just fine. Remember not all cables are created alike so try using a high quality cable. And closely follow the instructions for using TDM.

Replacement screen for imac 27" late 2012

My new late 2012 27" imac has a scratch. Is it possible to replace the glass?

My cat pushed my late 2012 27 iMac off the desk and it fell on the floor. When I pulled it back up I gasped with horror. Although the LCD survived, the screen cover is cracked and the metal in the back bent a littlebit.
I have Apple care but obviously it woudn't cover the costs.

Imac27 2009 as extra screen for imac 2007 2011

Hello,
I have an Imac 27inch of 2009. To enlarge my workspace I added another Imac 27 inch but model 2011.
I want to use the oldest computer as extra screen.
After been advised by apple salesman, I use a thunderbolt cable to fix the job.
With the command F2 or automatic detection in the configuration, neither of them works. Both computers can't be connected.
Does someone knows how to clear the job?

I think the title explains - but I'll give you an idea of what I'm trying to do.
OK,So i've been planning on a 360 for a while now; but im struggling for a screen - I want my own personal screen in my room next to my iMac - I don't like it downstairs in the lounge - But it'd be great if I could just have it plugged into my mac and have it next to my printer
Is there any software - If you have to buy it make sure I can buy it in pounds
- anyway yeah any software that enables this - or will it just work - if you plug in - but what plug would you plug it into?

There is no video input on the iMac.
Therefore you will need a device like the ones sold by Elgato.

How do I use the top screen for fullscreen gaming?

I have a 13" MacBook Pro hooked up to my LCD Cinema Display. When I try to play a game (i.e. Civilization, Spore, etc.), it will only play on the bottom screen (my 13" one, not the LCD). Is there any way to make it play fullscreen on the top? I have an external keyboard and mouse, but would prefer not to use them if at all possible. Thanks!

The game is probably set to go fullscreen on the Primary monitor. Go in System Preferences under Displays and to the arrangement of the monitors. It will show 2 screens, one with a white bar on top... grab that little white bar and move it over to the other screen and it will make the other screen the primary monitor.

Best video camera to use with iMove '11 for iMac

I'm looking for the best video camera with no difficulties for iMovie. Just to be able to plug in the camera with out having to load additional software or any other difficulties.
Or if any one else knows what type of file format is specifically needed for macs? MPG4 or AVI?

In my opinion, the camera will work with iMovie '11, HOWEVER....
I have a Canon SX30IS bridge camera [that is, not a camcorder], and the HD videos work absolutely fine on iMovie with one - for me - important problem.
As my camera is also not supported, when any number of short video files are loaded in together, iMovie will not understand the sequence they were taken in, and MAY load them in a fairly random order into a project.
This is not a problem where one or two files are concerned, but where there are more, it can be a major problem if you want them used in sequence.
You either have to load them into the project one by one, manually, or be able to identify clearly from the thumbnails which is which, or the order will be all wrong. It IS possible to relate what you see as a thumbnail back to the original file, but only one file at a time, so you can't use the thumbnails to work out the order, if the images shown don't do that for you.
I have used videos from 5 unsupported digital cameras, and even an 8mm cine conversion file quite successfully, so I have no doubt that the Nikon will also work.

Using same External drive for iMac and iBook

I have a 15" FP iMac 10.2.8 and iBook 10.3.9 and a wireless Linksys router which is about 4-5 years old. All work on the Linksys network. Currently my LaCie external is hooked to the iMac.
I want to have my external LaCie accessible to both computers for storing Final Cut video files. Is this as simple as connecting the LaCie to the router? I can connect to the LaCie via the ibook through the wireless network now but for accessing video files I assume this is not sufficient; need a physical connection.

You could connect an Ethernet-based Hard Disk to the router but it's going to be pretty slow compared to the Firewire connection you're accustomed to. If I were you I'd just hot-swap the Firewire drive between the two Macs.

Memory has PC part no. F3-10666CL9S-4GBSQ - Mac part no. is identical except for an FA instead of F3 what is difference? Or is it incompatible generally? Or just bad memeory?

You either purchased incorrect RAM or did not install it correctly or the RAM is defective. Those are the ONLY 3 possibilities with new RAM causing KP's. While some KP's can be tricky to figure out with new RAM those 3 issues are it. So either double check to see you got virtually identical specifications to what Apple recommends, you installed it incorrectly (it is possible it's not fully seated) or you got a defective DIMM(s).
