Used Ipad won't sync to itunes

So my father gave me his old ipad, and i erased everything on it and put my apple id in, but it won't sync to my itunes and i can't figure out how to do that? my computer recognizes it, it's just the itunes that won't. My itunes is already synced to my ipod if that makes a difference

I hope someone can help. There was something wrong with my Ipad so I had to reset it back to the factory settings. Now the Ipad won't sync to Itunes and only factory installed apps will open. Does this mean that this Ipad is DOA and it is time for a new one? Or is there anything else I can do? It is a 1st generation Ipad.

if all that does not work you can always try to do a recovery mode restore back to factory settings and then set it up as a new device then try to redownlaod every thing again

My ipod tpuch and ipad won't sync with itunes even though they are recognised by my comuter. i have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes but still won't sync. How can i get my equipment to sync with itunes?

It has been shown there are problems with the latest update of iTunes and Windows computers. What you need to do is remove and reinstall iTunes, and make sure that you follow the steps in this support document exactly. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923. If you do not follow them exactly, you will just compound your problems. Once you do this, you should have no trouble having the phone recognized in iTunes.

Apps downloaded to iPad won't sync to iTunes ?

I downloaded an App from the 'App Store' on my iPad and it won't 'Sync' to iTunes. Using the '/Store' menu "check for available downloads" doesn't do it either. I also have 'checked' the "always check for available downloads" & "automatic downloads: apps" and that does nothing too. The only option left is to use iTunes to navigate to the App and then download from the "Cloud".
Am I missing something ?

I also have "show iTunes in the Cloud purchases" and it's not displaying them either. But !, it is accounted for when viewing "account/purchases" (the purchase list).
I shall check the "file/transfer" thingy :-)
I always used to have it enabled for automatic downloads :-(

I recently purchased iPad with Retina Display. It will sync all the purchased apps to my computer, but it won't sync the data from my pc to the iPad. It is connected, but it just won't sync and the summary, info etc tabs are frozen. anyone can help?

Anyone else having trouble after the latest OS Security update 2012-004? Sinse I installed it, my iPad's (a 1 and 2) will not complete a sync with iTunes - I get "unkown error (1150)" each time.

I have a new IPad and want to sync it with ITunes on my computer. It says it's starting to sync, but nothing ever happens, it just stays there. My IPod syncs without problem, so why is the IPad not Syncing?

It is hard to tell why the iPad is not syncing.
Reboot the iPad, quit iTunes, restart your computer and try again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Ipad won't sync with Itunes on my PC (lenovo)

I plug my ipad into the USB port on my lenovo PC but it doesn't recognize it. The PC DOES recognize my ipod which is an older version I've had for 5+ years and that syncs fine. I've uninstalled/reinstalled itunes with my McAfee virus protection turned off, I've restarted my laptop and my ipad and still...nothing will work. Brought it in to the Apple store today and after 2 and a half hours with an employee it still hasn't been resolved. They said they aren't trained enough in PCs to help. When you get back home, try different USB ports and/or different cables, just to rule out any mechanical issues.
Then try going into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTunes, Apple Mobile device service, apple application support. Then redownload and reinstall iTunes and try again. Sometimes there seems to be a driver issue, where the up to date driver doesn't install but iTunes thinks it's there. The easiest way to get it on your computer is to remove the programs that use it and reinstall iTunes, which will automatically reinstall the driver when you plug your iPad back in.

After installing iOS 7.1, my iPad 3 would not sync over wifi with my Imac running OS 10.6.8. To get it to sync I had to connect the iPad to the iMac using the USB. That worked, and since updating via USB my iPad now updates via wifi when iTunes is opened.

How can I use iPad w/o syncing to iTunes?

I'm having trouble installing iTunes. I can go through the entire installation process (will ask my agreeance to the license, run quicktime, etc) and right before the final step I keep getting this message: "Administrator has set policies against this installation" . I removed the firewall, the only one I think I have.. What else can I do to sucessfully install iTunes to my PC??

Is it your computer? Are you logged into the Admin account? Currently there is no way to activate an iPad 2 without iTunes.
That will change this Fall with iOS 5, which will cut the cable. But until then we are stuck with using iTunes.

I'm trying to sync and back-up my first generation iPad to iTunes...and every time iTunes starts to sync the iPad gets "kicked off" -- it's no longer recognized by iTunes. I've tried rebooting my computer, doing the soft-reset of the iPad (hold down power button, let it fully shut down and restart it). Nothing seems to work.

I just upgraded to snow leaopard from tiger to get this thing to wk and it still doesnt. I downloaded the latest iphone updates and wonder if the SDk was part of that. I am going a bit nuts trying to get this thing to wk--!

I had to reinstall iTunes and now my iPad won't sync.

I tried to upgrade with 11.1.4 and everything go messed up (Windows 7 user). I ended up going back to a later version of data on my computer. Then I was able to reinstall iTunes. My iPhone is syncing like it should, but my iPad won't sync. I've lost the App Sore icon and others. Not sure what to do. I refreshed my iPad but nothing is working.
