how can i unlock a used ipod touch i bought at a fleamaket it says disabled but locked

Hi,
My daughter has entered the wrong passcode on her new iPod touch multiple times and now there is an error message on the screen saying iPod is Disabled - connect to iTunes. When I connected it to iTunes, the following error message appeared : 'iTunes could not connect to the iPod touch because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPod before it can be used with iTunes'. This is not possible because the iPod is disabled. The iPod does not appear in as a device in iTunes, nor is it visible as a folder on 'my computer'. iPod has never been synched with any computer and it does not synch when connected to my PC. I have tried re-setting the iPod by holding down both the on/off and home buttons but to no avail. All of help I came across directed me to the device in iTunes but it is not possible to do this. Can anybody help?

My iPod touch 4th gen has been fully disabled so that it says 'connect to iTunes'. But when I do that, it says I need to unlock my iPod first, which I can't do because my iPod is disabled. What do I do? Also, I don't want to restore my iPod because I don't have some data backed up. Thanks.

Whenever I press the home or lock keys on my iPod touch it comes up the screen with slide to turn off and cancel, even if I press cancel it proceeds ago turn off, and then won't come back on, unless I connect it to a power connection, I have tried restoring it, and still will not work.

It it sill happens after restoring the iPod to factory deaults/new iPod, then you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I was using iPods touch 1st and 2nd generation together with iPod Shuffle 1st generation with inferior versions of iTunes and MacOS X without any problem. After I upgraded to iTunes 10.5 and Mac OS X 10.6.8, the iPod Shuffle still appears in iTunes normally, but the iPods don´t appear. So it's not the software, because mine still works. Do your iPods have a lock on them? If so, try unlocking them and then plugging them in, usually when your iPod has a passcode lock it won't show up in iTunes until you unlock it.
