Used MA and now User password isn't recognized?
So, unboxed a new iMac and used Migration Assistant to suck up my Time Machine back-up (from older MacBook). Seemed to go fine but now I can't make it past the initial login screen on the iMac.
I had one and only one user / Admin on the MacBook which is represented now on the iMac as a coin-sized circle (w/ picture) and asks for a password. I've tried the known password and it just shakes the box at me like I'm a dummy. I verified that the password is correct on the MacBook (by re-setting it and then setting it back again).
So, brand new iMac, totally worthless to me as I can't make it past the login screen.
I've no Install DVD (Apple didn't include one in the box) and my MacBook's Snow Leopard DVD seems to put the iMac into a fit and it immediately wants to restart. I was trying to get to the password reset utility in single user mode by using the install disk, BTW.
Any ideas? Or do I have to lug this thing to the Apple Store / Geniuses (sp)?

New Admin and re-doing Migration Assistant (files and applications only) but, at least, I'm logged in and don't have an expensive silver paper-weight any longer.

My Music Video isn't working, and now my Ipod isn't recognized
Last night I tried to play a video that I purchased from iTunes and my Ipod froze for about a minute and then went back to the list of videos (screen). Today I tried to plug it in to my computer to see if I would experience the same thing in iTunes, and a message comes up saying that "the USB device is not recognized". I uninstalled both the iPod Software and the iTunes software, and then reinstalled them both from the apple site (for the latest versions). My iPod is still not recognized but for some reason it Now charges (nothing happened before).
I've restarted my computer a few times, and restarted the iPod serveral times also.
Other videos work fine, just not my music video (and now not my iPod).
Is there anything I can do short of erasing all my songs and re-starting from scratch?
Please, anybody?Does anybody at least know why my music video isn't working? I have other videos on the iPod and they work perfectly.

I reinstalled osx and now no password will be recognized
Now that OS X reinstalled stick has been installed - my password will not be recognized. So I go to reset with my main password, and any new password shakes its head at me.
Did you backup your hard drive before you reinstalled OS X? What folder did you save your iMovie and iDVD projects in? They should still be in that folder, so you should search for them by name and see if you find them.
Archive & Install would have preserved all your settings, and at worst, your files would be somewhere in the Previous System folder, in which case you would just have to move them to your current system installation before deleting the old one.

I installed the new iTunes software update this afternoon and now I can't get my Windows XP to recognize my iPhone 3Gs. It worked fined up until installing today's iTunes update. Anyone else have this issue??
iTunes 10.3.1.55 and previous verisons were freezing up at random times when I would try to connect my phone or while adding music or applications to it. I took the advice posted and restarted the AMDS. So far, that seems to have fixed my problem.

I updated to the latest IOS and now my passwords don't work. Reset 4 time which reset for my iPad and iPhone but I cant log into my itunes account using my apple ID it indicates an error, Help?
This may sound crazy, but download any free app. This often "shocks" the other apps into working.

If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

Open Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application use the APP tab and capture that scree to show Photoshop is installed and up to date like I did. Capture that screen. Show us you have installed Photoshop and its up to date.
Open Photoshop and use menu Help it should show tha its activated because there will be a menu item Sign Out. If it is Sign In, Sign in using the account that has the subscription the one you used above to Activate Photoshop. -
I have recently done the update to my iphone and then tried to backup my iphone to itunes and an error meesage has occured and now my phone isn't responding to anything and is stating that it needs to be restored back to manufacturers settings, Can anyone help?

I updated my computer to 10.10.1 and now my photoshop isn't in my applications folder anymore. Even when I try to export photos from Lightroom, PS isn't even an option anymore. Not sure where it went or how to get it back! Thanks!
Using 6-7 year old software that's no longer receiving updates & was never designed to run on 10.10 is asking for trouble. That said, try re-installing PS and installing Java SE6

I used Match, and now there are artists missing when I search by artist, yet they are in my library when I search by song. If they are in many song list, why aren't they in my artist list? Also I can't sort my songs list by artist on iPhone, so their music is basically lost in space....help
It's not clear from your post, but you do realise
that if you import a cd as a compilation, it will not
appear under artists? This is done to save the iPod
being cluttered up with single artists entries who
might have only one song listed.
I wasn't aware of that. It's true that I haven't been using the "compilation" tag for a long time. I've only started using it with iTunes 7 as otherwise with Coverflow I would have one album cover for each artist in a compilation. Before that my compilations weren't tagged as such as that is quite probably why each artist from compilations showed up when browsing by artists.
