Used switch keeps booting to a company prompt no matter what
Bought 3 used switches and they keep booting to a company prompt and wants a username. I have changed to register to 0x2142 and tried sticking a different ios flash disk in with no luck. System keeps booting to image even when booted from rommon flash image..

Good Article Rolando...it was exactly what I was eluding too...Aaron, on some Sup's there are two points in which you need to Ctrl+Break and set the Config Register to 0x2142 before it will bypass the configuration. During your boot process, I see where it is saying...

Ctrl+Break and set your Confreg to 0x2142 there as well and you should be golden! I deal with this on a daily basis, your Gear is good my friend, no worries!
One thing I would make sure is that you do this all in one boot sequence meaning you set both Confregs to 0x2142 in the same boot process of course Resetting in between each Confreg and after the second time let it boot completely and your good.
Oh yeh and you will only have to set the Confreg back to 0x2102 once. Thanks!

How do I eliminate this glitch? Music spontaneously starts, stops, stutters at random and I'm not even using that app. Repeated attempts to pause the song and close the app have no affect. Just keeps popping on and off randomly no matter what I'm doing at the time. I tried double-clicking the Home button which brings up all of the active apps, touched and held the Music icon until all the icons started wiggling, tapped the Close icon in the upper left corner of the Music app to close the app completely, but the app is still open and still randomly stuttering. I did notice that the play button icon flashes in the upper right corner of the screen when this happens and it appears and disappears in concurrence with the Music app stuttering. When the music starts, the icon appears and when it stops, the icon disappears again. When the music stutters on and off, the icon appears and disappears rapidly and in sync with that random glitch. This just started today for no apparent reason. I turned the iPad off, waited 30 seconds and turned it back on. As soon as it was finished starting up, the same music glitch began again immediately. I'm using iOS 6.1.3.
Well, no one seems to have any answers or ideas for me, I'll update what I've been able to accomplish.
I reloaded all 14 disks in the time frame of watching Lord of the Rings on Fri. nite.
Funny thing is, the first disk pulled the info from the online store! Hooray!
Wait-then all the next 13 could find no information online...what the heck is up with that? So I MANUALLY assign each disk a new track # to co-inside with each disk, spent about 2 hours doing that.
But still, itunes tells me my playlist is too large, there's not enough space on the ipod. so I unchecked 1 1/2 disks (I'd listen to 1/2 of disk 1 previously) and voila! there's my ipod full of my book. Finally. But what a lot of bother just to keep things in order! -

Make sure you set the time zone you want from the drop down menu in the upper right corner?

4948 switch keeps booting in rommon
Went to do a password recovery on the switch so i put it in rommon. changed the register to x42 and it still booted with the password and config. After that i went back to rommon and set it to ignore startup config.. After that i booted it into a config without a password... Now no mater what i do the switch goes straight to rommon and i have to issue the boot command to get the ios to boot... Any ideas on how i can fix this?
I found the issue. Somehow i deleted the ios and all boot configs.

Boot freezes on Apple logo no matter what I try
The problem began when I was playing a podcast. Things started locking up on the screen, and I was getting fragments windows while trying to back out and force quit. I was able to start up once more after that incident, but things froze again while playing music on iTunes. The music continued to play, but the screen and keyboard were locked up. Since then, I have not been able to boot past the white screen with the Apple logo. What I've tried:
1) Booting from OS cd (with original HDD, new HDD, and even no HDD). Still freezes.
2) Replacing upgraded RAM with the original RAM.
3) Reseting PRAM (commandoption+pr) Heard second chime, but problem persists.
4) Started while holding option (I get the choice of startup drive, and mouse works, but still freezes on logo)
5) Boot to a drive that has Windows installed (dual boot system). Get black screen.
6) Held power button for 5 seconds with cord unplugged
7) Unplugged all periphials.
8) Tried different monitor and keyboard
9) I can startup in verbose mode (command+V) and see info, but still freezes at logoI just got exactly the same problem with my MacPro (2009) last night, exactly the same errors Rich666 have. The oddest thing is that I can access trough my local network within a Mac G5 and see the entire hard drives with all its documents??!! this means, the computer is working, but the screen shows only the gray screen with the logo, but frozen.
I've tried reseting the P-Ram, The Apple Hardware test, Boot with shift pressed to make the system load in limited version and I can't boot from the dvd, nothing works, always the same, the grey screen with the logo.
Last night I ran the Apple Hardware Test and after finishes didn't show any error, I decided to do "hakuna matata" turn the computer off, and try again the next day, this morning, it worked!... for just a few minutes, I saw the finder, and when try to open a finder window, again the odd windows frozen, the screen turned like it was 16bits and crashed again, and right now is like last night, frozen screen, tried the same over and over, I still can see the damaged computer hard disks through the network, the computer sounds like the regular working sound, but the only I can see on its monitor is the gray logo frozen. Frustrating -
My Final cut pro keeps crashing after aprox 30 seconds no matter what i do.
Hi so i really need some help.
as the title describes after my Final cut loads up it crashes. if i sit there and do nothing it crashes. if i open up ANY of my projects it crashes.
I've tried all the trouble shoot options supplied by apple, and have even cleared my preferences via the recomended app, and on my own.

Hold down the option key when you launch FCP X so that your old libraries don't load . Choose new. Import a single clip as a test. Create a new project and let the clip automatically determine the project settings. Try some simple edits. If it hasn't crashed to this point export.

My page keeps reshing, like every 10 seconds, no matter what I do
My homepage keeps refreshing ever y 10 seconds or so. I've
taken other pages that don't do this, changed the content to match
my homepage, and saved overtop the old refreshing homepage, and

When I connected the ipod through the original adapter given with the ipod..NOTHING happened.

What I need to know is "how" I can separate or rather create another Apple ID for my son-who is currently using "my Apple ID?" If there is a way to let him keep "all" his info on his phone (eg-contacts, music, app's, etc.) without doing a "reset?') Somehow I need to go into his phone's setting-create a new Apple ID and possibly a new password so he can still use our combined iCloud & Itunes account?
Also then letting me take back my Apple ID & password, but again allowing us (my son and I) to use the same iCloud & Itunes account? Does that make more sense??? I'm sincerely trying to get this cleared up once and for all----just need guidance from someone who has a true understanding of the whole Apple iCloud/Itunes system!

Is it ok to keep /boot or / partitions are reiserfs instead of ext4?
What do you think about using reiserfs on the entire system? Is it ok for /boot and / especially?

Though my boot time did slow down by about 0.3sec (gasp!).
Like I said, I use btrfs on /boot but nothing else at the moment. The last time I used btrfs on a larger partition such as / or ~/ was about 6 to 8 months ago. I admit that's a "long time" in the computer world but it was significant enough for me to finally switch to ext4 at the time. The responsiveness at the time was like night and day, but with current improvements may be negligible today. The most noticable difference was not reading but writing to the disk under btrfs regardless of sync settings. I believe it was COW but I didn't want to disable due to the benefits it held.
Anyway, btrfs may be just as swift now-a-days so it's worth a try on larger partitions if you're willing to compare it. I just found JFS to be very quick and supportive of everything I need in a filesystem as I don't do on-disk backups for / (I use external for this), but for /boot it's handy -- also, I don't automount /boot in fstab so there's less of a chance at screwing it up by accident, I will mount it manually whenever I need to rebuild kernel and copy bzImage. -

I am beginner in NI teststand & NI switch excequtive.
I have NI SCXI-1001 Chassis with NI SCXI-1130 switching slots.
I need a quick help on how to use switching in NI TestStand. What I am going to do is: generating a signal by a RIGOL Function Generator and switch this signal to excite some piezoelectric sensors and reading the response signals by a Tektronix oscilloscope.
I have read these documents:

But still, I can not switch the signals with my hardware.

Using [subform].keep.next to fix flow problems?

I have a dynamic form with many subforms, and I am having trouble getting certain subforms which function as headers to stay on the same page as their body subforms when they are flowed. I tried using the "Keep with Next" property in the GUI for the header subform, but that seems to pertain to content areas, which I am not using, and does not work for me... it elicits strange behavior from some of the subforms where they are completely rearranged at runtime or when I click the "next" button in design.
I was excited to find that you can specify to keep a subform with the next object using javascript through the "subform.keep.next = 'pageArea'" syntax... but I can' t get that to work either.
It seems that the scripting modules are only triggered by events, so under what event do I put my script to specify this property?
I can't post the form itself, because it contains some proprietary info from my company, but I'll try to describe what going on in the form below:
The form is saved as a dynamic form, is set to run in Adobe 7.0.5 or later, and the text formatting and event model are set to version 7. My LiveCycle version is 8.2.1.
I have many categories of options which users can pick from on my form. Each category has a subform with a text header and a drop-down list of "yes" or "no", and then another main subform or two that contain the actual options. If they don't wish to use any options form a particular category, the user can pick "no" from the drop-down in the header subform and the next subform(s) containing the options for that category is hidden. Of course, once one subform is hidden, the subforms coming after move up and the pagination changes.
The layout looks like this:

>Subform1_Body (flowed, so that internal subforms can be split across pages)
>Subform1a_BodyOptions (positioned)
>Subform1b_BodyOptions (positioned)
>Subform2_Header (positioned)

>Subform2a_BodyOptions (positioned)
>Subform2b_BodyOptions (positioned)
>Page2 (flowed)
>Subform3_Header (positioned)
>Subform3_Body (flowed, so that internal subforms can be split across pages)
>Subform3a_BodyOptions (positioned)
>Subform3b_BodyOptions (positioned)
This hiding/showing works fine when all of the categories are visible, but when one or more is hidden and the next subforms move up, the header subforms are often set as the last thing on a page, with their options, which are much longer, being pushed to the next page. I want to always make sure that no matter how the subforms are flowed, the header stays with its options on the same page. I tried putting the above script to keep with next on the exit event of the drop-down list, which is what triggers the hiding on the subforms, but I don't see any results.
I am not using content areas because I am not using master pages... my subforms are all totally different sizes, so I don't know how to make a master page to fit all. Right now I just have a flowed regular page object containing my subforms for each page on the form that exists when all of the subforms are showing. I don't know if maybe my problem is that I'm not using the page objects or master pages as I should? Ideally this layout should just be one long page-break-less list of subforms that paginate dynamically depending on what sets of options the user wants, but I can't figure out how to make this work.
Any help at all would be appreciated.

The thing is, the objects in my body subforms are all static themselves... the expanding doesn't happen when a user types in too much information to fit in the subform. It's hiding/showing of the subforms which make other subforms move up or down
I have tried using the "keep with next" option as you have done for the second header/subform combo. Try using it on the subform called "sub13ExportOptionsHeader" in my sample, under page 4. For me, when I select this the whole subform jumps down so that it is located between sub14a_sec2 and sub14a_sec3 in the layout.
I had previously tried using these options on an earlier version of the form and had no problems like this at desgin time, when I previewed in LiveCycle, or when I tested it in Acrobat 9. However, when I tested the form in Acrobat 8, I had similar issues... when certain subforms were hidden, some of the still visible subforms were rearranged so that they were not in the correct order anymore. I never truly resolved this issue; the only thing that fixed it was to have neither Keep With Previous or Keep With Next selected for every subform.
