User Access Code

I have a new LaserJet 600 M602 networked to Windows 7 64 bit PC.  I have no recollection of setting a user access code on the printer.   How can I get past the User Access Code to check print cartridge status, etc.?  Or is there a factory default code on new printers?  Thanks, Earl-41

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at Printers - LaserJet.

  • Printer is asking for an user acces code instead of windows login and password?

    I have been seeing the HP printers asking(LaserJet M4555 MFP, LaserJet 500 color MFP M575 etc) for user access code instead of windows login and password.
    One thing i have noticed  is that when this happens there is a slight change in the EWS page configuration at security -> access control.The device administrator tabe is unchecked as you can see below ehen this happens
    Have tried cold resetting the printer and restore facory settings but this does not works and some thimes it does works for a while but the issue is returing back.
    We do not need this access code promt instead we need the usual windows login and password that used be there originally.
    alsothis is how the settings look like after a cold reset somtimes when it does not  asks for user access code , the problem is cold rese does lways works and it reverts back ois original settings

  • My daughter changed her access code and forgot, how does she access it?  iTunes does not recognize it from the computer (it is registered in my user name).  HELP? Oh the nearest Apple Store is about 40 miles away.

    My daughter forgot her access code to her itouch.  Itunes can't access it when i plug it in.  it is registered under my id.  how do we reset the passcode without the passcode?

    Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

  • Way to allow the user access to the saved lists of this Z report

    We have a Z report that we want to run at midnight each Sunday and then view the output/layout first thing Monday morning. We can schedule the report to run but it appears that the only way we can save the output as a 'file' for later viewing is by using the "Save with ID" option, which puts the output into a SAP 'saved list'.
    The problem with this is that it doesn't appear to be possible to access that list from the Z-report - it would appear that you have to go into SQ01 and use the 'saved list' button. This means giving the Z- report user access to SQ01 as well as Z-report, which, for security (SOD) reasons we don't want to do.
    We can run the report in foreground with the output option "File store" and save the output as a file to a specified location,. But this option doesn't appear to be available when the report is scheduled as a background job. If this is done, the background job runs but there's no output anywhere, as far as we can tell.
    So what want is to run the report in background but with the output option 'File store' or equivalent (i.e. an output stored somewhere that the report user can view). Is this not possible, or have we missed something in setting up the report run?
    Or is there a way to allow the user access to the saved lists of this Z report without giving them T-code SQ01?
    Thanks

    Hi !
    I just wonder if the answer from Varishtb below did solve your propblem.
    I have exactly the same problem as you. I also want to be able to look at the saved list without using the sq01.
    If you solved it I will be grateful to get the solution.
    regards Lars
    answer:
    You can call the infoset query directly from a transaction code. There's
    no need to copy it as a 'Z-report' (or as a custom report). In fact,
    everytime you're copying an infoset query to a report, you're calling
    for problems the next time you face an upgrade. (That is because SAP
    changes the internal logic used to handle the infosets queries from
    version to version)
    We're using some infoset queries and they work fine this way.

  • Help please with access code to get into restrictions to delete apps.

    I have an iPad 2. I recently upgraded to 7.0.4.  The new system requires me to go to settings/general/restrictions to delete any apps I do not wish to keep.  This worked fine at first, after the first system upgrade to 7.0. After the last update, 7.0.4,  I find that when I go to restrictions it pops up and asks me for an access code. I only have one access code that I have ever used.  It will not open with this passcode.  He has locked me out 18 times and requires me to wait an hour to try again.  My usual passcode works on everything else!  I have tried to reset passcode, it does the same thing.  I have searched and searched and the answers I'm finding are pretty drastic (like backup and reset everything...yikes!). What am I missing here?

    Follow the instructions in  iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 to restore the device to factory settings.
    Once you have setup the device as a new one, you can then sync it back with your iTunes account and all your music, apps, contacts and any other content sync'ed with iTunes will be loaded on the device. Any content that is stored only on the device and not sync'ed with iTunes, like app logins or data, will be lost during this process. Be forewarned that this is a long process and can take a couple of hours or more to complete. This can be painful, but it is necessarily so to prevent users from working around the security settings. After the restore is complete, you can setup a new Restrictions passcode. Make a note of the passcode to avoid this situation in future.

  • How can know which user accessing specific form in ERP application

    Hi,
    In our organization we have ERP application that is developed based on Orace forms and reports 10g.
    My question is how can i know which user accessing specific form in ERP application based on their login.
    Please do the needful.
    Regards,
    M. Satish

    What I infer from your statements now, significantly different from your OP, is that you do not have any logging mechanism and now want to introduce logging with minimum effort.
    If that is the case you can add the logging code in your Menu(s), before the CALL_FORM/NEW_FORM. Fewer object(s) to modify, but roughly the same lines of code get added.

  • Access code in 810

    hi
    i created a new user in 810. but when i start creating a program in abap editor (SE38) it is asking for the access code. This is not the general scenario with 800 client. pls suggest solution to this problem. thanku.

    Srk,
      You do need to get a developer key.  All the keys are based off installation number and userid (hint to keep your dev key registrations simple, insure that you keep your userids to your developers the same!!).  You can see all your developer keys in table 'devaccess' in SE16.  It is not client specific so if you have a dev key in one client, you have a dev key in all clients.  Also since the dev key only depends on installation number and userid, if you have a sandbox and a dev box with the same installation number - the same developer key will work on both systems.
      Hope that helps you to understand this and please set your thread to answered if this answers your question.

  • Best Practice - Securing Schema from User Access

    Scenario:
    User A requires access to schema called BLAH.
    User A is a developer that built an application using this schema in a separate development environment, although has the same privileges mirrored to production (same roles etc - required for operation of the application built).
    This means that the User has roles that grant Select, Update etc rights for the schema / table in order to use (and maintain) the applications.
    How can we restrict access to the BLAH schema in PRODUCTION, enforcing it to only be accessible via middle tier / application (proxy authentication?)?
    We've looked at using proxy authentication, however, it's not possible to grant roles and rights to the proxy account and NOT have them granted to the user (so they can dive straight in using development tooling and hit prod etc)>
    We've tried granting it on a session basis using proxy authentication (i.e. user a connects via proxy, an we ENABLE a disabled role on the user based on this connection), however, it causes performance issues.
    Are we tackling this the wrong way? What's the best practice for securing oracle schemas (and objects in general) for user access where the users actually get oracle user account (or even use SSO) for day to day business as usual.
    To me this feels like a common scenario, especially where SSO comes into play ...

    What about situations where we have Legacy Oracle Forms stuff? In these cases the user must be granted select etc rights to particular objects, as this can't connect via a middle tier.
    The problem we have is that our existing middle tier implementation is built expecting the user credentials to be passed to it during initial authentication and does not use a proxy, or super user style account.  We have, historically, been 100% reliant on Oracle rights and controls to validate and restrict access to our underlying data.  From what you are saying, we should start to look at using proxy or super user access and move this control process further up - i.e. into Code or Packages ?  If so, does this mean that there is no specific way to restrict schema access to given proxy accounts and then grant normal user accounts to connect through these to get access (kind of a delegated access scenario), without using disabled roles?

  • Configuration of  User Access Review process

    Hi,
    I'm new to the forum.
    I´m looking at the User Access Review process in CUP.
    I would like implement the User Access Review request. So, my question is:
    1.  Where take GRC the data to make the analysis? I need to know the exactly place where data are collected (which table, transaction code or  statistical data)
    In case that GRC use the backend tables, I should be aware of time that tables are operational in the system, correct?
    2. Otherwise, how affects this analysis the performance in backend system?
    3. I have read that it is possible obtain reports with use of Action Usage. The report that I mention is: RAR --> Informer --> Security Reports --> Miscellaneous --> Action Usage by User
    Where does it gets information from? Could be data in the same place that use User Access Review process?
    4. Is it possible to introduce another actors in the Reviewers (In Configuration Tab, User Review > Options > User Review pane)? Now, the reviewers configured are Manager or Role Owner.
    5. To set User Access Reviews, I need some additional technical or is an automatic procedure?
    If there is any requirements that I should be taken into account please, let me know.
    Thanks in advance
    Marta

    Hi,
    I have found this document that answers all my questions:   www.sdn.sap.com/irj/bpx/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b05010a3-ed45-2c10-79b2-96df60a6bf2b
    So, now I have another question:
    The GRC Access Control that I have, ERM is not configured and there is no communication with it; (only RAR and CUP are configured).  So, I would like to know if it´s possible configured User Access Review apart from ERM.
    To realize the Role Usage Synchronization job in ERM, the transaction usage information from RAR alert data is needed. The job also obtains role to user assignments and role content information from the back-end systems. Access Control then translates the transaction usage information into role usage.
    If this information could be extracted from the backend tables, I am looking for an alternative to way to load data in the system, regardless ERM. Is it possible?
    Thanks in advance

  • APEX Pages - User Access List with NTLM

    Hi,
    I'm building several APEX Applications, and using NTLM as its Authentication Scheme. With this, the users won't have to type any user and password. And their user name stated in top right screen.
    I'd like to build another application to administer users of all created APEX Applications. So I'd like to build 3 tables:
    1. users (hold user name, and user data)
    2. pages (hold APEX Applications pages)
    3. access_list (hold combined data of users and pages and access flag)
    The last table will give me an SQL that can be used to create page level Authorization Scheme.
    The problem is:
    I cannot find a way to get a list of user ids to pre-populated the table users. Is there a way that an administrator user use an LOV of all NTLM user instead of typing domain\user to this application? OR is there a better and elegant way to create User Access List with NTLM.
    Your helps will really help me, and thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Aulia

    This is kind of a followup to Scott's post. Instead of using your own tables to map user accounts to permissions etc, why not simply use LDAP to query the NT domain global catalog?
    You can tell what users are members of particular AD groups and control access to functions based on AD group membership. Then you would only need one table that maps Apex functionality to AD groups.
    That's what we do. Our account management people add users to different security groups and they get access to our apex app based on those groups. The type of access is controlled by the group to which they belong.
    If you try to capture a list of all users, you'll be constantly trying to keep your list of users in sync with your AD/NTLM accounts.
    Or I guess you could simply use LDAP queries inside the database to get a list of ALL your users in a nightly batch. Wouldn't help for people added in the middle of the day, but maybe that doesn't happen often in your company.
    I have posted code on using Active Directory LDAP with dbms_ldap inside the database. Shouldn't be too much trouble to modify that code to scan your directory for users every night. Search for "dbms_ldap" in this forum.

  • Access-code setup on a router

    I have a VOIP network. At a remote site I have a router that has 4 fxs ports that attached to a key system unit. The issue I am having is to be able to give to all these CO type line an access code that a user can dial in order to dial long or international long distance.Do such thinf exsist.The software on the router 26XX-XM is not the call manager express. Just plain IP plus.

    I might be wrong here but I don't think such a thing exists.

  • New to Dreamweaver (CS5) trying to set up a secret access code (not a login)

    I am new to dreamweaver and I've done a bit of searching and can't find answers for this specific question.
    I am going to be handing out about 250 marketing pieces with individualized "access codes". Each code will be individualized. So for example one code might be "#X251" another "RQ457" etc..
    I am not interested in a login/password combination.  The user will know the site they are going to, but when they click a certain area of that site, it will ask for this individualized code and then they are "granted access". If they do not have a code then "access is denied".  Each person essential has their own unique "access code"
    I will continue to search but so far everything i've seen in my searches requires a "username/password" combination which doesn't work with what I am trying to achieve.
    Again my dreamweaver skills are novice at best. I can read html to some degree and do have a few resources i can tap but I am really looking for some direction down the right path to achieve this.
    Any help is much appreciated!

    Thanks for your replies!
    When they enter the code it presents the same content to everyone.  I like the idea of the database as this would allow for easier expansion as well if I decided to add more unique codes later. Again i'm totally new and I will need to research some of the keywords you noted, but I think i'm on the right path.
    Thank you for the code yowzer!
    Is the code provided by yowzer1414 still useful in your example bregent, or would I be better off researching your suggestions?

  • NAC and BBSM access code management

    Hello,
    An organization has a network infrastructure in which a BBSM generates access codes for limited authorized time periods to allow Internet web access to wireless guests. If a guest exhausts the period he must request a new access code.
    Now, if a Clean Access Server is deployed for admission control, a possible option could be to bypass posture assessment for those guest users and leave the the BBSM operation unchanged: with access code management for control and accountability purposes.
    My doubt is if i could deploy some access code management capabilities in the NAC appliance, in order to move to it the access code mgmt functionality from the BBSM.
    I would really appreciate any comment about that.
    Thanks in advance.

  • ARCA Xtra  - multiple user access to SQLite DB

    Hi Guys,
    I have having trouble with multiple users accessing a SQLite DB file from a projector. They can all open and browse the data through the projector fine, but if USER1 makes a change and clicks save, and then USER2 tries access the DB it causes USER2 to get a script error.
    Is it possible to write a script which tells the user that the DB is being modified so please wait, rather than throwing them out of the projector with a script error
    Thankyou

    If you want multiple users to access a database then you would probably be better off using one designed for that purpose like MySQL.
    But, if you are set on SQLite and if you can have multiple simultaneous connections which you seem to imply you can, then the best solution I can think of is to create a Class/Script that handles all the details of polling the database for availability and handles other issues like a progress dialogue box.
    You have to treat the database as an asynchronous action - meaning you send it a query and at some latter time it sends a result back via a callback. Doing it this way greatly simplifies any database queries you want to make. As long as your queries are fairly simple like SELECT, INSERT, DELETE, etc. then the code is fairly straight forward.
    Off the top of my head I wrote something to get you started. I have not tested this code but it does compile. The following is a Parent script that you would use to interface to your database in an asynchronous manner.
    -- Asynchronus SQLite
    property  pDB  -- instance of Arca xtra
    property  pTimeoutTime  -- how long in milliseconds to ping database
    property  pPingTime  -- time between database pings.
    property  RunningQuery  -- Boolean. is a query running? true/false
    property  pTimeOb  -- timout object for polling the database
    property  pCurOperation  -- set of data for current query
    property  pPingCount  -- how many times the current query has pinged the database
    property  pAlertBox  -- a MIAW, LDM, or a Sprite that informs the user as to the progress of the query.
    on new me
      arcaregister([0000,000,0000])
      pDB = xtra("arca").new()
      Result = pDB.openDB(the moviepath & "ST_data")
      if Result.errorMsg then
        alert("Error Opening Database" & return & pDB.explainError(Result.errorMsg))
        return void
      end if
      pTimeoutTime  = 10000
      pPingTime  = 250
      RunningQuery = false
      pAlertBox = Sprite(1000)  -- for example
      return me
    end new
    on cleanup me
      pDB.closeDB()
    end cleanup
    on executeSQL me, Query, CallbackOb, CallbackMethod, OptionalParameters
      if RunningQuery then exit -- only allow one query at a time
      RunningQuery = True
      pCurOperation = [#Query:Query, #OptionalParameters:OptionalParameters, #CallbackOb:CallbackOb, #CallbackMethod:CallbackMethod]
      pPingCount = 0
      pTimeOb = timeout().new("QueryProcessor_"&me, 1, me, #processQuery)  -- creating the timeout object here breaks the call stack, which is good.
    end executeSQL
    on processQuery me, TimeOb
      Result = pDB.executeSQL(pCurOperation.Query, pCurOperation.OptionalParameters)
      if Result.errorMsg then
        if Result.errorMsg = 5 then -- database is currently locked
          pPingCount = pPingCount + 1
          if pPingCount = 1 then  -- then inform user there will be a delay.
            pAlertBox.setMessage("Waiting for database response.")
            pAlertBox.setProgress(0)
            pAlertBox.show()
            pTimeOb.period = pPingTime
            exit
          end if
          pAlertBox.setProgress((pPingCount * pPingTime / pTimeoutTime) * 100 )
          if pPingCount * pPingTime = pTimeoutTime then -- timed out
            alert("Query Timed out.")
          else
            exit  -- try again in pPingTime time.
          end if
        else  -- there is some sort of database error
          alert("Database Error: " & return & pDB.explainError(Result.errorMsg))
        end if
      else  -- no query errors
        call(pCurOperation.CallbackMethod, pCurOperation.CallbackOb, Result)
      end if
      -- if the code makes it this far then we are done and need to clean things up
      if pTimeOb. objectP then
        pTimeOb.forget()
        pTimeOb = void
      end if
      pAlertBox.hide()
      RunningQuery = false
    end processQuery
    on setTimeOutTime me, MilliSecs
      pTimeoutTime = MilliSecs
    end setTimeOutTime
    on setPingTime me, MilliSecs
      pPingTime  = MilliSecs
    end setPingTime
    You then create an instance of this script on preparemovie.
    -- Movie script
    global gDB
    on prepareMovie
      gDB = script("Asynchronus SQLite").new()
      if gDB.voidP then halt -- can not connect to the database
    end
    on stopMovie
      gDB.cleanup()
    end
    Then it is simply a matter of sending your queries to the gDB object and it will send the results back to the callback handler and object that you specify. Here's a behavior that shows how simple this should be:
    -- Sample DB Behavior
    global gDB
    on mouseUp me
      Query = "select * from users"
      gDB.executeSQL(Query, me, #setQueryResult) -- string, callback object, callback handler name
    end
    on setQueryResult me, Result  -- this is the callback handler/method
      put Result
    end
    I also suggest using a MIAW or a LDM or a set of sprites as a way to inform the user of any delays in processing a query. Check the code for pAlertBox to see how I use this idea to update a progress bar. Of course you will have to create the implementation.
