User access log from WLC

I setup wirless network (a WLC-4402 with AP ), I would like to know that if a guest access our network, may I get the notification from syslog?

How do you have the guest network setup? You have a guest anchor controller or is guest going out your main wlc? Also how is guest users accessing your network?

  • Restring user accessing 9idb from Toad or anyODBC connection

    Hello,
We would like to restrict user accessing database from any ODBC driver, s/w like Toad or sqlplus. They can only access dataabse through loggin to Application. Is there a way to do it?
I have been looking into VPD but could not find any info there.
    Thanks
    Suhail

You can use a form of transformation of password in the application that it prevents that the password used in the application cannot be used by algun another program or application like sqlplus, toad or another one.
    f(<user password of your application>) = < user password of database>
where < user password of your application > != <user password of database >

  • User access log -Analytics

    hello
I need to get the user access log in order to know the user who access to the applications analytics OBIEE????

Then use Usage Tracking Feature of OBIEE.
The Oracle BI Server supports the accumulation of usage tracking statistics that can be used in a variety of ways such as database optimization, aggregation strategies, or billing users or departments based on the resources they consume. The Oracle BI Server tracks usage at the detailed query level.
When you enable usage tracking, statistics for every query are inserted into a database table or are written to a usage tracking log file.
You can find more details about Usage Tracking in Server Administrator Guide.

  • User access log

    Hi,
Anybody has any idea how to extract the user access history in SAP? It's to be served as the audit log for security purpose.
    regards,
    sianghing

    Hi,
There are quite a few threads discussing the similar requests.  However, it is not currently supported.  What you can do now is to have a regular alert query running in a fixed internal like an hour to record the active users.  Those records could be saved in a user table for your audit purpose.

  • Trying to access Lion server remote using multi-user access, but from a legacy Leopard system

Just purchased a mini server running Lion, and got screen sharing working fine from my legacy system (32-bit so Leopard only). However, I would like to run in multi-user mode, so someone can use the Lion system and another person can access their own account, from the older Leopard system, at the same time. Using multi-user rather than screen sharing. But Leopard does not have the option on the Finder/Share Screen command, the pop-up window to select screen sharing or new virtual session. So, is there a way still to run a new virtual session from a remote client running Leopard?  Since the multi-user capability resides on the Lion server, it should be possible, but how, without the pop-up menu?

  • Get DHCP logs from WLC?

    We've got a WLC 4402 running 5.2.157.0, and WCS 5.0.72.0.
We've got a guest wlan that uses web authentication to grant IP addresses for guest users.
We have the WLC syslogging to another server, at syslog level critical.
What we would like to do is get the MAC address of machines that are given DHCP addresses, so that we can tell who is using our wireless, or attempting to.
If syslog isn't how to get this information, is there another show command to see what machines got given DHCP addresses?
    Thanks,
    R

You could see this with "show dhcp leases" from the controller's CLI or you should also be able to get this info through SNMP.

  • Blocked user accessing log in screen

    Hello all
I have the EA4500 router with cisco connect cloud, must say this router is great for limiting kids online.
1 question I have however is the ability for a blocked user (internet access block) that is redirected to the cisco web site and presented with a log in screen. Is there anyway I can disable this becuase the kids stay up all night trying to figure out the password to log in, I just want it to say internet access blocked with no option for logging in for the blocked user.

This is could be how they designed that feature to work. I agree with jaymay
I believe that I can make it

  • How to get New Added User's log from shared services in 2012--Important

    Hi Experts
All my user are MSAD users but i want to generate See log for all users in Hyperion who are all added in 2012.
Please let me know ,we will get this information from Backend SQL and what are the tables related for this.
Any one help me in this...highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    RK

    Hi,
You don't add MSAD users in shared services. The users is added to the directory that is configured as MSAD in shared services and you will
see the user in shared services after that. I don't think so that Hyperion can provide any info regarding the users addition in shared services.

  • Domain User Access Log

    Hi,
How to monitor following logs for Domain user in widows 2008 R2 server,
    1) User creation
    2) User Deletion
    3) login log
    4) logout  log

As others mentioned, enabling auditing should do the job. The events will be logged in event viewer and all you need will to use a filter to get them.
Collecting the events could be a complicated task if you do it manually. There are third party tools to make that easier or you can also use
    EventCombMT to collect them: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/824209
Another way to track logon/logoff of end users is to use a Group Policy to do that on Windows Servers / Computers. I have published the details here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/20422.record-logon-logoff-activities-on-domain-servers-and-workstations-using-group-policy.aspx

  • Security Process - Removing User Access Resulting from Job Change

My question is Security process related specific to internal employee transfers (new job responsibilities).  My organization has typically added requested access to a users' account, and infrequently removed access no longer required.  In the event where there has been a job transfer, the user may have more security capability than required in the new job.  In the current internal process, the security administrator has no visibility to employee transfers.   I'm seeking input on practicle ways to remove access no longer required without impacting the user with downtime should a proactive end of access date be dictated.  Recommendations?

    Sandi,
You are correct, ideally the HR admin should inform security but they do not.  However, there is a report that will display all the new positions without security role assignments.  You can use the report to be pro-active with assigning roles to positions.  Of course this is assuming you have basic role assignments for positions (clerks, office managers, directors, etc).  I use the output as a source file for my SECATT scripts to populate roles to positions.

  • Problem when WCS creates user guest access on the WLCs

    Hello,
In my Wireless network, I have two appliances WLC 5508 running version 7.0.116.0.
I have a WCS running version 7.0.172.0, deployed on a windows 2003 server.
I've imported the two WLCs in my WCS in order to centralize the monitoring and the configuration tasks.
Now I'm facing an issue when I want to create a guest user from the WCS, rather than creating this user access on each WLC.
The creation of the user account is working good, the replication is done on the both WLCs, but on one of my WLC the guest user account is deleted after one hour(around).
On the second WLC, the same user account remains during all its life time.
In attachment a screen shot of the advanced parameter of the guest user.
You can see that the user was created on the both WLC but is only active on one ... and unfortunately the wrong because the AP is associated with the other WLC.
    Any idea about this issue?
    By advance thanks.

Thank you for sharing the info. I am glad that your issue is now fixed

  • Can no longer access log files from EM(ECM11.1.1.6.0).

Full UI popup error is " Stream closed ADF_FACES-60097:For more information, please see the server's error log for an entry beginning with: ADF_FACES-60096:Server Exception during PPR, #4"
Of course, I can't see any further errors in the logs,so I'm really at a disadvantage. am currently asking client if he sees anything in the Console for errors.
This was working just fine, no issues accessing logs from EM. No configiration changes were made, there's almost 8gb RAM available on this box(SOA on different BOX). ECM set up is Admin, IPM, UCM on this box.
Is there special memory settings for logs?

  • Analytics based on FMS access logs

    Hi,
We are building an analytics application for Flash Media Server located in a content distribution network. We obtain access logs from the FMS server and use the log entries to display metrics.
We would like to know if there is any way to determine the cache status from access logs.
Also, are there any scenarios where a stop event does not follow play event?
When we monitor the logs, the "x-file-name" field sometimes contains two extensions (filename.flv.flv). Is this the expected behavior?
We have also noticed that multiple log entries for a single seek action has been generated. Is this an error with our configuration or is this expected?
    Thanks in advance,

    Keerthana,
Curious to know if you ever got a workable solution for getting analytics from your media server? Could you share your story?
