User cannot receive the mail from portal

Hi team
One of the user is not receving mail in portal, when i check the status of the user is active and mail id is correct.
Now my question is how to find the log from portal or we have to check from the R/3 end,
since i am new to this portal administation please guide me. Your replies are very helpful.

you can get the logs from /usr/sap/<SID>/j2ee/logs/defautltrace.trc, the file with the less size will be the latest one, alternatively you can monitor the the logs fron NWA,
http://server.domain.name:50xx00/nwa ->monitoring ->Logs and traces.

    Check in Groupware connector administrative tool if the email id is locked under 'Current Locks'.If it is locked then you may have to unlock this id .
    Have you checked again if the same email id is locked? If yes, then first you must find out the root casue why its getting locked.
    Anyway do let me know once you get a reply.
    after doing this also the mails are reproducing, so we have raised message to SAP for resolution. Waiting for SAP response.....

    My Iphone 4 with io6.1 will not receive emails only send, I always had no problems before io6.1. I reinstalled the settings of the email account and did everything but still will not work, it says it is downloading messages, but the white dot on the bottom of the screen stays in place and does not run accross.

    Try a reset, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

    I cannot register new account on forums.lenovo.com with my company or my private email because registration email never arrives (though when trying freemails like yahoo, it works). When checking maillog, I see that my mailserver is contacted but it rejects email because of following error:

    I can confirm that the domain lenovosocial.com indeed doesn't resolve - not through my DNS, not Google (8.8.8.8), it's not even on ns1.mydyndns.org.
    Seems like Postfix is not to blame to reject the email because in email RFC it says that "Only resolvable, fully-qualified, domain names (FQDNs) are permitted when domain names are used in SMTP."
    Can you please check it. It seems that the domain correctly resolved in the past (last year and also few weeks to months back).

    Thanks to your posting ! Recently we have heard some users are not able to receive email notification. This case is  still under investigation. Your info here definitely provide more details in regard to this subject if they are related.

  • Cannot receive e-mail from one correspondednt

    A correspondent with a Comcast account regularly sends me an e-mail with attachments, usually once a week. This has been working fine. Now, however, when he tries to send me the e-mail, he receives a message that the e-mail cannot be delivered to my inbox. If I try to send an e-mail to him, he never receives it but I get no message that it cannot be delivered. This just started about a month ago. Neither of us blocked the other. The message does not appear in the spam file. Nor he nor I have any trouble with any other e-mail correspondents. Anny suggestions of why is this happeneing and what can be done to fix it? Thanks.

    What is the reason listed in the delivery failure message? Having that would help a lot.

    I assume you mean you hit the Get Message button...
    Have you checked your mail preferences? Under the general tab, you should check which option is chosen for "Check for New Mail:"
    Alternatively, you may also want to check the Accounts tab>Advanced (in preferences) to see if "Include when automatically checking for new mail" is checked...

    background:  For a testing task, I set up a hardware testing platform that including of a power supply device, a hardware to be tested(Device Under Test), a power Meter and a PC.   i build a program to control the hardwares, and they communicate with each other by LAN. at first, the program as a client can normally communicates with my hardware after initializing all hardwares. And then the program turns off the power of my device and turn on power again after delay 60 seconds. after initiantion, my hardware can execute the command which is received from the program, but the program can't receive the data from my hardware. Why my program cannot receive the data from my hardware, after the second time turn on the power of my hardware?  the program as client code as below:

    Yes that's exactly my problem. The reader sends bytes but without a delimiter. So for example the greeting message I've mentioned earlier "iiAWID..." happens to be 32 bytes, therefore I made the following changes to the code:

    Have you contacted your email provider and asked if for some reason that sender or domain has been blacklisted?

    Check Settings>General>Cellular to be sure you have Cellular Data set to On.

    The problem we are getting in the workflow is that when a user receives a response notification and the user responds to it then the user are receiving the invalid response email.
    The error in the email sent back is
    Error Message : Ora-01001 invalid cursor
    Error stack: &MAIL_STACK_ERROR
    I am unable to replicate the issue in test instance so that we can try to find some solution.
    Please can some one help me out it is really a high priority for us currently

    This does not happen for all the responses, it happens with some responses but it continues to happen untill we bounce the workflow services.
    Regarding the conditions under which this is caused we are not sure of it, if we know under what coonditionns this happens then may be we can try for the solution.

    Your not alone. Many users haven't received any since Sat 12/31/05. Myself included.
    The Email notification function seems to be, occasionally problematic.
    I'm sure it's one of the things being ironed out.
    I have noticed that when the Emails don't get sent for a period of time, they will eventually catch up.
    In the interim, I check my Subscriptions here in Discussions.

    In exchange, you have something called Send as permission as well. Try to give send as permission to your self from the user's mailbox.
    In exchange> Reciepient config> Mailboxes> user mailbox> right click> Full Send as permssion
    or,
    Add-ADPermission -Identity "user1" -User "[email protected]" -ExtendedRights Send-As
    After you add your self in send as permission you need to wait for some time to propagate the settings or you can forcefully reset the information store services
    That should solve your issue.
