User Comment field available for reporting?

User Comment field available for reporting?
When doing custom reporting against requests with reportable dictionaries we have a user request to also include the user comments.  How do I reference / point to the comments field for a request?

If you are referring to the comments which are added in the Comments and History section of a requisition, this information is not migrated to the datamart and is not reportable.
If, on the other hand, you are referring to a comments field that you have included in a dictionary on the service form, that information will be available in the datamart so long as that dictionary has been made reportable.

  • How to make business content available for reporting

    The business content is loaded.The version is 3.5.3 SP2 which we have and BW version is 3.5
    I can see the business content going thru RSA1 for e.g for Sales 0SD_O01 etc
    Now how can i make the content available for reporting.When I go in modeling and click on infoprovider, infoobject it doesnt show me anything.Its blank.
    Do i have to connect R/3 to BW for reporting or load data to BW from R/3 and do reporting.Why the content is not showing in modeling?How can i make it available for reporting

    First you need to install the Businesscontent object first...right side window in the business content will give you the option.once it is installed then u can view it in modeling then load data and do reporting...

  • Is it possible to take the CDR data from a v4.2 Call Manager and copy it to a separate server where it would be made available for reporting?

    Is it possible to take the CDR data from a v4.2 Call Manager and copy it to a separate server where it would be made available for reporting? We are not interested in migrating the CDR data to v6 because of the concerns it introduces to the upgrade process. Is it possible to get the raw data and somehow serve it from a different machine? (knowing it would be 'old' data that stops as of a certain date). If so, what would be the complexity involved in doing so?
    It seems like the CDR data lives within MSSQL and the reporting interface is within the web server portion of the Call Manager... that's as far as we've dug so far.

    It is absolutely possible to get the data - anyone you have in your org with basic SQL skills can move the data off to a standalone SQL server. This could be done most simply by backing up and restoring the DB using SQL Enterprise Manager.
    Moving the CAR/ART reporting tool would be more difficult... if you do actually use that for reporting (most people find it doesn't do what they need and don't use it for anything but basic troubleshooting, and get a third party package) then the best option may be to keep your publisher (possibly assigning it a new IP) and leave it running for as long as you need reporting.
    You would then need a new server to run your upgraded V6 CCM; you may find you need this anyway.

  • SBO crashes on changing user defined field setting for a form

    Hi,
    when i try to change the user defined field settings(Tools->User-Defined Fields->Settings) for a form, say Sales order form, on clicking on OK button SBO crashes displaying runtime error messagebox.
    This happens only when my addon is running.
    Anyone encounter this behavior?

    I have put in the filters.The form 38(user-defined fields settings form) is not included in the filters.So it should not get any events. I get the following error

  • Master data object - Available for reporting related

    Hi Colleagues,
    I want to load some 'duplicates' to info Object X. Meaning I have all values same but differ in one attribute. (Key is same). I do not want to use compounding for few reasons. I have not explored on functinality masterdata for reporting (Flexible update, not sure i used correct word) Can you please extend help in understanding the following..
    Questions 1:
    I understand that I can make available for reporting the existing master data object.
    2) Can I add some code to allow duplicates there?
    3) Can still the infoobjet navigational attributes has the same functionality - meaning they can be reported from reports of this newly extended masterdata?

    Infoobject alread exists with out the attribute below at the monet. It is also available in the cubes for my reporting on cubes..I would like to add the following attribute for my phase 2 for my new reporting needs..
    Data:
    <u>Infoobject  - Attribute,</u>
    SKU1  - GRP1
    SKU1  - GRP2
    SKU2  - GRP2
    The issue is with the 1st 2 records.. As I do not have the componding.. My Cube already have Infoobject with lots of data... I do not want to add attribute componding as it demands for the presence in the cubes also. So I have to double the current data base size.. Ahh I do not want this..
    Coming to reporting on the cube
    I would like to report on both the things.. Like..
    Including attribute
    SKU1 GRP1 abcd
    SKU1 GRP2 abcd
    SKU2 GRP3 xyz
    excluding attribute
    SKU1 abcd
    SKU2 xyd
    We do not have any keyfigures..none is related with time..

    Additionally to the answer of Jimmy Michael:
    After marking the UDF you need in tools->manage UDF you have to restart XL-Reporter before you can see your UDF in any of the dimension look ups (at least if you are working with the advanced report builder - I don't have any experience using the report composer).
    That is, you have to close XL-Reporter, terminate XL-Reporter in Administration->Add-ons-Add-on manager in the main menu of SAP and start it again.
    Now your UDF is available in all report definitions.

    that option(bex reporting) is taken out from this version in the settings of dso object.
    by default all the three types of DSO object provide reporting on it.

    SPRO>Logistics - General>Material Master>Field Selection>
    first from
    Assign Fields to Field Selection Groups
    you must assign MARC-EKGRP (Purchasing Group)
    to a selection Group which will be mandatory.
    Then from Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens
    you must choose the Material Types which you want to make
    Purchasing Group mandatory.
    You must check Reqd Entry for the material types you want

    In Cisco Unified Operation Manager 8.6, how can we get the Annotation comments in the Output Fields when we export the report from CUOM. Tried Pulling report from Fault Monitor Interface, however, it only gives "TRUE" for Comments added or "FALSE" no comments in the Annotation field.
    In the user guide of CUOM it states that Annotation field will be available if you pull reports for History. Please find the screenshot attached.

  • Issue with Varchar2 field conversion for report output generated in EXCEL

    Hello All,
    I have an unique problem with one of my new reports for the User. The user wants the report output generated in excel data only(delimited data) format *(reports builder 10g)* .
    Everything was fine until i encountered this problem, there was this field which has unique ID's(alphanumeric and numeric), when i tried to run the report and generate output in Excel the numeric ID's say for example *(41593497999679354429)* is converted in excel and displayed like *(2.5881E+19)* and after format cells in excel it displays *(41593497999679300000).*
    The issue is only with 20 digits numeric ID's , if i append any special character to the end say '#' or '..' it shows the exact value along with the appended character. But the user insist they need only the value that is in the table. I am finding it hard to figure out, if any one of you have encountered the same issue or if any of you have any suggestions to overcome this excel conversion thing please do advice me.

    Thanks for you response, but i already tried what you suggested, instead of appending single quote in front of ID, i did at the end prior with '#', it preserves the value if i add any character to the id but the appended value shows up too :(.
    Well, i just got the solution and it did work, thanks to [Brian Hill|https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=651632] for the post, i did what exactly he said and it worked. I was so very happy and wanted to share with everyone.

    In My report(Invoice distribution report for company wise) I need to add fields
    invoice number,
    invoice status,
    invoice type,
    invoice date,
    invoice period,
    customer number
    account document number,
    company code,amount in local,
    g/l amount
    currency,
    customer name ,
    city,
    state.
    I have taken tables VBRK,BSEG and KNA1.I fetch fields from these tables as follows
    VBRK-invoicenumber,invoice status,invoice type,invoice date,invoice period,customer number.
    BSEG-Account document number,company code,amount in local,G/L amount,currency.
    I planned to join VBRK-vbeln = BSEG-Vbeln,
    KNA1-customer name,city,state
    I planed to join VBRK-KUNAG = KNA1-KUNNR.
    In order to test whether the values are populating as expected I tried to create Quick viewer report.
    When I create report using data source;table join when I add table bseg I am getting error as bseg is not used in join condition.
    So I checked logical data base for these 3 tables but only for bseg and kna1 two ldb are common:BRF,DDF
    My Question are:
    1.How can I include BSEG in table join as data source in creating Quick viewer report.
    2.If I use LDB BRF or DDF I can fetch all fields except invoice status and invoice type where other fields mentioned in VBRK can also fetch in BSEG.How can I get invoice status and invoice type in report.
    3.Please let me know whether my field or table selection is wrong in creating report.

    As you suggested when i am creating query using tables bseg,bkpf and kna1(logical database BRF) and vbrk,i am getting error as "query Specifications cannot be used to generate list" in SQ01.I linked BRF logical database with vbrk by using condition vbrk-vbeln = bkpf-awkey.
    Is my condition is wrong in linking VBRK to BRF logical database.please guide me how to solve this.
    If my joining is wrong means why I didn't get error in SQ02.??
    Required fields are:Invoice number(vbrk),invoice category(vbrk),invoice date(vbrk),account document number(bkpf),company code(bkpf),G/L account(bseg),currency(bseg),state(kna1),invoice amount(vbrk).

    We need to create a secure FTP process (SFTP) from SAP payroll system to the third party Finance syem to transfer Bank Files.
    As of now, the Bank files generated using the above transaction is downloaded into local PC and manually uploaded in the Finance system.
    However, we want to eliminate this manual intervention and send the generated Bank file directly to Finance system using SFTP.
    Is there any User exit or BADI available to do this automation, once the user presses the Download button in PC00_M99_FPAYM  program aftyer displaying the file?
    If any of you have encountered similar requirement, please let me know how to proceed. Or any other suggestions to accomplish the required functionality?

    Since aggregates are there on that cube....until and unless you do the roll up that request will not be available for Reporting...
