User-defined Favorites or Shortcuts for Reports and Schedules

Hi experts,
A client was inquiring whether it's possible to for an end-user to create shortcuts or favorites to frequently used reports within BPC. I know it's possible to use the BPFs or presumably the custom menu tools to create links. Is there a solution that anyone has used that allows end-users (rather than those customizing) to create shortcuts?
I also tried the "locking" the Excel frequently used file menu but that does not register BPC reports.
2) Any difference or incremental functionality in version 10?

Hi Eyal,
Using BPF or custom menu is possible. Hoewever, these can not be maintained by the end-user, this will have to be done by the admin, therfore this will not meet your requirements. There is only one option in BPC 7.0/7.5 that might help: the end-user can save the concerning reports in the 'My Reports' folder, disadvantage is that these reports are not maintained centrally, so in case of any changes in reports/schedules they should be copied to the My Reports folder manually.
BPC10 will have some major improvements in this area, with the option to create personal 'workspaces' where links to spcific tasks/reports/schedules can be made and maintained.

You can create tasks using PFCT or path: Human resources> Organizational management> Expert mode> Task catalog in Easy access.

User defined function in java for message mapping

I wrote the following user defined function in java for message mapping and mapped vendor with this. The aim of this function is to write a error file at defined path when i send empty Vendor value from File to RFC-Function module BAPI_PO_CREATE. The "err.txt" error file is not written when i execute in TEST but the value "ERROR" is returned to destination Vendor Field.

1) Whether you have permission to create a file in that directory.
2) try giving this

3) Also check for permissions.

What is Airwatch MDM?
Airwatch MDM is Mobile Device Management. The Airwatch is an enterprise which helps to manage and secure data traveling through the mobile devices like Laptops, Tablets, Android, iPhones, iPads etc.
Solution:
Why we need to allow access to Airwatch MDM?
The network administrator can force the guest users to register to Airwatch MDM before they get authenticated and access the internet. So that the network administrator could manage the guest devices through Airwatch Management tool. This can be achieved by CPPM server. To download the Airwatch MDM app and register with the Airwatch MDM server certain domains should be permitted in the captive portal pre-authentication role. This KB provides the configuration steps to allow the guest users to download the Airwatch MDM app and register with the Airwatch MDM server.

1. Create the following netdestinations

Now the user will be placed under the "Guest-Pre-Auth-Role" before the authentication. The user can now go the Google Play-Store or BlackBerry Appworld to download the Airwatch MDM and register to Airwatch Management Server.

APEX For reports and charts

Hi Y'all,
I have an application running on plsql webtool kit, now only for reports and charts I want to use APEX. I would like to put a reports menu in the application which will take the user to the reports / charts created by APEX. Is that possible?
Also, the application user will be authenticated at the loggin on time, so when he/she hits APEX I want to pass the same authentication to APEX as well. Is that possible?

Why don't you just recreate everything in APEX?
We had a customer that wanted exactly that, but if you do the calculation about supporting a plsql webtoolkit app, it doesn't make sense. APEX is soo much faster to develop in.

Lion mail doesn't allow shortcuts for bold and italics.

I've come across this problem in which Lion mail doesn't allow shortcuts for bold and italics. I try pressing the short cut for Command + B or Command + I
but it does not affect the text at all. I have to move my cursor to the Bold or Italic icon to change a particular word's form.
Of note, Command + U allows me to underline a word just fine. I also write my mail in the default Helvetica, and in size 12.
Anyone know of a solution? I'm pretty sure it's just a glitch, but it's become a great annoyance for me.

Custom keyboard shortcuts for Liquify and Vanishing Point filter interfaces in Photoshop CS4?

Is there a way to set custom keyboard shortcuts for Liquify and Vanishing Point filter interfaces in Photoshop CS4? When I change my keyboard shortcuts preferences for Photoshop, they don't change for these filter interfaces. Is there another way?

what is the problem ??
I tried to change the shortcut for the Vanishing Point and Liquify from
Edit -> keyboard shortcuts(button) -> keyboard shortcuts (tab) -> filter (tab)
and you will find these filters :
double click on it and make a new shortcut
but it MUST be Ctrl + (any letter) or you can make it Ctrl + Alt + (any letter)
but if you made it just one lettre like S for example
you will can't make a shortcut.

SmartView connection for reporting and analysis

Anyone else using version 11.1.2? We have installed SmartView and there is not an option to change service provider so that we can connect to reporting and analysis. We have successfully connected to the HFM office provider, however when entering the listxml URL for reporting and analysis like we entered the HFMofficeprovider it cannot connect. Oracle has advised us there is supposed to be the ability to add a service and we are missing that. They have advised that we run the EPM configuraton again, however we dont think that will help since we have run this a few times already. We are waiting feedback but just reaching out if anyone else has or had this issue

With 11.1.2, Smart View uses Workspace to keep track of the Shared Connection providers (including R&A). It should show up as "RAFramework - 11.1.2 - Reporting and Analysis Framework".
R&A registers with workspace when it is configured. In order for workspace to pick up this regsitration, you have to re-run the configuration for the Foundation tasks of "Configure Logical Address for Web Applications", "Configure Oracle Configuration Manager" and "Configure Web Server".
I would then re-boot the server for the changes to take affect.

Thanks, I think the same ... but the customer asked me about it ... I supose my answer will be that he can use Reports Builder for reporting and Toad or PLSQL Developer to access to the database and make queries ...
What about XML Publisher ? ...it can be used to make reports against an Oracle EBS database and integrate them into the EBS Application ?I believe you need a developer license to use Oracle Developer (Forms/Reports) for customizing/creating reports.

DW 2014.1 keyboard shortcuts for "Code and Design" gone

Option has disappeared for setting keyboard shortcuts specifically for "Code and Design" (or plain Design either, for that matter)? Split Code option just gives you two code windows and all the other options in Shortcuts are for Live View, not Design view.

Alt-F11 does not help me in this situation because you still cannot toggle between showing Code and Design versus all Code, or all Design. Live options have replaced Design options, but even then, you cannot make a shortcut for Code and Live (though it's available in the View menu). This screen shot shows what has disappeared.
Again: Ctl + ` does not toggle the VIEW, it toggles the active PANE.

Can you create report and schedule in EVDRE

I was asked by someone that if it is possible to create report and schedule in one single worksheet? As you set report/schedule in workbook options for the file my assumption was its not possible. Is there any work around?
Also i was asked about mandate in evsnd. I havent come across that either. what is it?

Yes! You can create report and schedule in single work sheet. If you insert 2 different evdre's , one for report and other for schedule then use [Get only range|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bpc75_nw/helpdata/en/47/b9a7ccae664edb9034c3579ebec486/content.htm] for report area.
Or using a single evdre also you can acheive this by selecting part of range not to send.

i am very new in ABAP. I want to create a Transaction/view in SAP BW where i can put my favourite Abap reports and tables and execute These directly from the created view/Transaction without se16/se11 or se38 Access and dont know if this is possible and how to do it.
the reason herefore is that we get deprived in differently time ranges our authorizations for the Standard Transactions.

So you try to bypass security checks put in place by the Basis team
or could you explain your requirement ?
Remember (or learn) that creating such transaction, you are able to bypass following authorization checks using SU24 (Identity Management, User and Role Administration of Application Server ABAP, AS ABAP Authorization Concept, From the Programmed Authorization Check to a Role, Editing Authorization Default Data (Development System) / Editing Authorization Default Data (Customer System). )

User Defined Fields greyed out for one user

Hi Experts,
One of our users is a Super User but on the Business Partner Master Data screen, the User Defined Fields are greyed out.
This is user specific as the issue is happening for the same user on 2 seperate PCs.
Other users can update these UDFs - any suggestions?

Other terms
UDF, user defined field, sbo-udf, settings for UDF are inactive, the settings for the udf are greyed out.
Reason and Prerequisites
Need to use the Settings option to order the udf.
In Tools -> User Defined fields -> Settings the option 'Settings' is greyed out and inactive.
Solution
If in Tools -> User Defined fields -> settings and this option is not available then return to the document and click anywhere in the main document window.
Now return to Tools -> User Defined fields -> settings and this option will now be active.

Hi!I am trying to launch an existing report from a form then spool it into a PDF file. I have been successful in passing the report properties using SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY built-in and I am also able to launch the report using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT built-in. My problem is, I cannot seem to pass the user defined parameters from my form to the report eventhough I am using the same variable names.

then add_paramter to this list
and then pass this list to the report
by using run_product.
