User-Defined tasks per application server

Hi guys,
In the Central Systems Administration, I am able to create user-defined tasks for our production system. These tasks appear in the SOLUTION_MANAGER main window as tasks on the system.
My question is, how can I create a user-defined task for each application server on the system, not on the system as a whole.
For example, lets pretend I want to run SM50, which is an appserver-specific transaction. If I create this as a user-defined task, it only creates it for the production server itself, not each of the application servers.
How can I do this? I want this functionality so that when I click the Execute button for the task, it will run the transaction on the correct application server, not on the central instance.
Thanks,
Michael.

one change which i have observed in this trace is .. this trace is showing trace agent as SAP Web application server ... ideally it should show user agent :SAP HTTP
    Please suggest me some solution.
    Thanks

    Dear all,
my issue is resolved.I solved my issue myself
solution: SAP sends HTTP request in the form of URL like
    http://serverip:port/GET /Default.aspx?serverInfo&pVersion=0045&contRep=FD HTTP/1.0
Now your response should contain string  contRep="FD"
dont forget double quotes on repository name coz SAP program matches string with double quotes. if you will return value like this contRep=FD
    this will through error.
    Thanks

The customer is not able to create a user defined metrics for SQL Server target.

  • How to catch the user defined  exception in application service

    Hi All,
How to catch the user defined  exception in application service  when it is throwed by the external service..
    Regards,
    Thirumurugan.

    Hi,
        Thanks for your reply,
Actually I  am calling validate Login method of External service from the application service. When the login fails, my external service will throw user defined Exception.I want to catch the user defined Exception.
But in the application service , validate Login method can catch  only Invocation Exception and Engine Exception.
These two exception are present in the Application service remote interface.
      public com.sap.comptest.extsrv.accrjavawsvi__document.output.
    Ns1_validateLoginResponse validateLogin(com.sap.comptest.extsrv.accrjavawsvi__document.input.Ns1_validateLogin input) throws com.sap.caf.mp.base.exception.InvocationException, com.sap.caf.mp.base.exception.EngineException;
User defined exception is not present there. When i include the webservice as external service in CAF, it suppossed to generate the java file for the custom exception of validate Login method and this generated file should be included in the application service remote interface..
    public com.sap.comptest.extsrv.accrjavawsvi__document.output.
    Ns1_validateLoginResponse validateLogin(com.sap.comptest.extsrv.accrjavawsvi__document.input.Ns1_validateLogin input) throws com.sap.caf.mp.base.exception.InvocationException, com.sap.caf.mp.base.exception.EngineException,
(generated file name of user defined Excpetion.
Then only  validate login method  of application service can catch  the user defined Exception which is thrown by the  external service.

How do we create user defined Task in OM & Which report we run for the Task.

You can create tasks using PFCT or path: Human resources> Organizational management> Expert mode> Task catalog in Easy access.
Check this link may be useful for you: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_40b/helpdata/pt/fb/135d89457311d189440000e829fbbd/content.htm

  • LMS 4.2 | user-defined tasks

    Hi Netpro

then i went to netconfig job based Device, then user-defined tasks choose my template, then i didn't find my task
defined at the Applicable Tasks in order to be added as instance
    thanks

Yes, the Nexus 5000 series has a few issues with LMS (and other things). Among them is the non-support of User Tracking. I'm told it's a MIB variable issue but it's been the case for some time now and remains so with the current LMS release.
Here is the reference from the Supported Devices Table which states in part:
The following features are not supported:
User Tracking (Nexus 1K, 4K, 5K and 7K with FEX), VLAN Management, VRF Lite, LANE Management
Configuration Deploy Protocols: HTTPS, SCP, SSH, RCP
Configuration Fetch Protocols: HTTPS, SCP, SSH, RCP

  • Central system Administration : User defined task groups

    Hello,
In SolMan4.0, you can define user-task-groups (e.g. for daily system checks). The definition and processing of those tasks, works.
But they are not visible in the overview screen of the solution.
If there is only 1 user-defined task left, the overview does not show any open tasks
    Any idea's ?
    thx
    Steven

    Hi Udo,
The frequency is set on 'every 3 days'.
We are on ST-400 SP4 (SP6 is not available I guess)
I only defined an entry in the tab 'defining User Task Groups'
and one entry in the tab 'Assigning User Tasks'
The user task itself is visble as 'open' in the list, but not in the overview of the systems (icon with a red + sign)
As I work through the tasks, the red +sign changes into a green sign, at the moment that there is one user-defined task left (all the other 'sap'-tasks are 'done').
    regards

  • How to Use Sequence Object Inside User-defined Function In SQL Server

I'm trying to call sequence object inside SQL Server user-defined function. I used
Next Value for dbo.mySequence  to call the next value for my sequence created. But I'm getting an error like below.
"NEXT VALUE FOR function is not allowed in check constraints, default objects, computed columns, views, user-defined functions, user-defined aggregates, user-defined table types, sub-queries, common table expressions, or derived tables."
Is there any standard way to call sequence inside a function?
I would really appreciate your response.

    The NEXT

  • User management in Sun Application server PE 9

I need to be able to manage (create, edit, delete) users in my AS for a specific app.
Is there an API I can use to access the user information in the AS?
Can I create new users, edit and delete them?
    If this is not possible:
Does anyone know how to manage user in JEE 5? It is very common to have to add users to an application and I'm wondering how do you do that. If you have to keep user information such as email, address info, etc.... do ou have to do this separately from the server?
Any hints? I'm lost... I must admit
    Thanks and regards,
    Mario

    - deploytool was made available with Sun Java System Application server until version 8.2.
You can download SJSAS 8.2 from: http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/download.html
From the above page, you can download either the standalone application server or (NetBeans 5.0 + SJSAS 8.2) bundle.
    - deploytool was removed from SJSAS 9.0 onward. From version 9.0, NetBeans is the IDE offered for deploying apps on to SJSAS 9.0 (glassfish) and deploytool is not offered anymore. Please download NetBeans 5.5, which is the tool now offered by Sun for deploying to 9.0.
    - It is not expected that deploytool shipped with 8.2 will work with 9.0. It most likely will not, even for j2ee 1.4 apps.

  • How to restrict user access in Oracle Application Server 10g (9.0.4)?

Can anybody please let me know how to restrict user access in 10g AS? To be specific, how to allow http requests from specific IPs only?

    Hi,
You have to edit httpd.conf and modify acces rights for each protected directory
    e.g.
    <Directory /var/www/sub/payroll/>
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from 192.168.1.0/24
    </Directory>
then you have to restart Oracle HTTP Server

  • Number of user sessions in the Application Server for a config entry

    Hi All
I am using 10g AS, with 9i DB.
    My requirement is that -
i need to find the total number of users of the application in any moment, and to
display that information to the users. say, config=abc, super users need to find all
those who are using the link from the application itself.
I can see that information from the 10 g Enterprise Manager -> Forms -> User Sessions.
But is there any means of transfering that information to forms.
Can this be done by using PJC's ?
    Please post your solutions/suggestions
    Thanks in Advance

    Any help/ideas Please

  • User define function for SQL Server

    Hi all,
it's possible to write an UDF for SQL Server in Java?
I know that it is possible with DB2 and Oracle.
My main goal is to write an UDF that works well with all of these DB.
    Thank's

    Hi all,
it's possible to write an UDF for SQL Server in
Java?Okay, JDBC can talk to any database (given you have a driver implementation). Also, JDBC is like a conduit. So the real question is likely, will your database let you do this?
I know that it is possible with DB2 and Oracle.
My main goal is to write an UDF that works well with
all of these DB.I also don't know what a UDF is, but if you ARE talking about stored procedures, then no, it's not possible. All databases are different. On that note, I typically recommend NEVER using stored procedures unless absolutely necessary.
But it also sounds like you want to do this at runtime. I've seen systems that do this (bind stored procs at runtime dynamically) and it's a freakin nightmare! So be careful.
