User Defined Windows
Hi Friends,
Is there any way to add a User-defined to the menu so that it will be easier for the users to select them.
Currently i am having lot of user-defined windows in SBO since i am using lot of quite a lot of add-ons which puts it's own UDTs.
Thanks & Regards
Shiva

Copy express and user defined windows
Hi All,
I´m using CopyExpress to copy a company A to B with a certain selection criteria.
The content of the user defined windows are in the target company (B) and when adding an entry into the Journal Entry certain fields are populated automatically when saving the entry.
That´s how we expect the system to behave.
But for a certain document serie these same fields are not populated automatically.
Someone has encountered some issues regarging the Journal Entry and Copy Express?
Thanks for your helpThe data copied by Copy Express may not be identical. For example, the account code will be different if you use segregated accounts. Some of other internal codes may not be the same either.
Thanks,

Authorization for User Table (User-Defined Windows)
Hi Experts
I want to restrict access for specific users to User Defined Tables. Is this possible?
Regards
NabeelYou can do it by using Additional Authorization Creator Winow
1. Open Additional Authorization Creator Window.
2. Click on 'Add Same Level ' Button
3. On the Right side window, Type in
Authorization ID = 'Activity Subject'
Name = 'Activity Subject'
Option = 'Full/ ReadOnly/ No Authorization"
4. In form ID, press 'Edit Butto' and type Form Id of the UDT
5. press OK to close this window
6. Open 'General Authorization' Screen
7. On the Right Side, navigate 'User Authorization'
8. Scroll down ''Activity Subject' and select the user and Set appropriate authorization('Full/ ReadOnly/ No Authorization")
9. Now Log off and Login with user.
You can see the authorization in effect.
Similarly you can do for any window which are missing in 'General Authorization' -
How to popup User defined window(No object table)
after clicking defined new value in combobox of user defined screen(screen painter)
Hi rajeswar,
You must launch your own form with a grid with the existing value. Then you must update/add the modified/new records.

Communication via self defined window messages
I want to communicate with other programs by using self defined window messages.
Window API calls are registerwindowmessage, peekmessage, postmessage.
Is there an easy way to recieve and send user defined window messages with a labview program?These features are not part of LabVIEW. You will probably have to use a Call Library Node to access the calls. If you have never done this before, look for a document entitled "Using external Code In LabVIEW". You can find it in LabVIEW 6.1 by opening LabVIEW >> help >> search the LabVIEW bookshelf >> Using external code in LabVIEW.

Hi All,
I have one issue with the User-Defined Fields window of the ACTIVITY form.
I had added some user defined fields (UDF) to the Activities so that the User-Defined Fields are displaying in a separate window just near to the Activity window with Type (-651). All the UDFs are bound to the table, "OCLG".
I want to initialize the values in the User defined fields controls with a text when the form is loading.
I had tried to do this using
oForm.Datasources.DBDatasources.Item("OCLG").SetValue("U_CUST",0,"MyValue");When I executed this statement, i am getting HResult error.
Then I tried this by using UserDataSources.
The same error repeats.
But the code with .Specific.String = NewVal is working fine.
Can you please explain the scenarios that we are able to do it using .Specifc.String. Is this a true method for doing this?
if not
please tell me How can we do this using Datasources (DBDatasources/ UserDataSources),?
Please Help.
Thank you in Advance
AnoopAnoop,
when you have created UDF in master item data, the textbox you can see on left side of form (separate form) is bounded already to this field. You cannot rebound it (its system form).
When you want to change the value, you must use specific.string or specific.value for that textbox (as you wrote), but the calcualted value will be stored into master table (change of udf will set formmode to update mode). If you dont need to update formmode, set the formmode by code to normal mode.
hope it helps

User Defined Paper Size, Windows 7, PSC 2110 all in one printer
I am trying to print a 5x7 photo using the user defined paper size of my PSC 2110 All-in-One printer. When I used X
P os, it was easy to do. Since upgrading to Windows 7, I have been using the default drivers that load with that, but it doesn't have the ability to define paper size. Is there a driver available that would let me do this? I've tried to use compatability mode to get the original drivers from the installation disc to work, but it won't do it.Hi,
The last update was for Vista, 5 years ago:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=4220...
At this stage, Windows 7 only supplies a very basic and generic print driver for this printer just for print. You may want to keep that way or buy a new printer.
Regards.

Add User Defined Field (Landed Costs Window)
Hello All!
Somebody can help us on this, we wonder if someone can tell us how can we add a user defined field in the Landed Costs Windows -> Fixed Costs TAB place.
We were unable to add this field, and now we're thinking that's impossible through the USER DEFINE FIELD function, there's not reference about Fixed Costs TAB in this tool, but if someone knows the 'how to', please help us.
thanks in advance
jssancheHi Sanchez,
I am afraid you could not do that. User defined field is not be added into landed cost. Landed cost seems like process external bank statement. I have ever asked to SAP support about this (how to add UDF in process external bank statement) and they said it could be done using add-on. You have developed add-on to do that (DI/UI or UI API only).

User defined fields window / formatted search
HI
I 've created a user defined field in the marketing documents
I want tO put the result of a query into this field :
I use a formatted search in order to have the result :
SELECT T0.Balance FROM OCRD T0 WHERE T0.CardCode = $[$4.0]
My query is based on CardCode(item 4), but when the user defined field window is open, the item 4 is the cross of this form and i have the result next :
SELECT T0.Balance FROM OCRD T0 WHERE T0.CardCode = N'RSRCButtonCloseBox'
Thanks
SylvainHi,
It happened the same today for me, but using both, $[$4.0.0] and $[$4.1.0]... both of them return that RSRCButtonCloseBox....
So, what is wrong here?

Adding user-defined number of text fields.
Okay I am having problems, obviously. I am developing a program where the user will enter X and Y values and the program will calculate the relational data. However, I can't even get a start.
First of all, the user defines the number of pairs of points they want to define. For example, they have 20 points, each with its own X and Y, so they click on 20 and then okay in the first window.
The next window will then take their answer and display X and Y text fields for as many points as they defined. However, I can't figure out any way to do this.
Feel free to run the program, the problem lies in the method setTextFields(). Help please!

Swing related questions should be posted in the Swing forum.
Also, don't use AWT components in a Swing application. Label is AWT. JLabel is Swing.
I would use a JTable to input the matching pairs of data. Read the Swing tutorial on [url http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/table.html]How to Use Table to get started. -

Like that it has shown 13 errors. I have given the package names in imports field what previous function has.Hi,
Please see this from SAP help
<i>a. You can import Java packages to your methods from the Imports input field, by specifying them separated by a comma or semi-colon:
You do not need to import the packages java.lang., java.util., java.io., and java.lang.reflect. since all message mappings require these packages and therefore import them. You should be able to access standard JDK and J2EE packages of the SAP Web Application Server by simply specifying the package under Import. In other words, you do not have to import it as an archive into the Integration Repository. You can also access classes of the SAP XML Toolkit, the SAP Java Connector, and the SAP Logging Service (see also: Runtime Environment (Java-Mappings)).
In addition to the standard packages, you can also specify Java packages that you have imported as archives and that are located in the same, or in an underlying software component version as the message mapping.
b. Create your Java source text in the editor window or copy source text from another editor.</i>

User defined function error in Labview mathscript
I m Labview 2011 user. I had a problem when i use a user defined func in mathscript.
I have used it well, but it doent work suddenly. It looks like below.
function name turned to grey color suddenly. Plz help me.The last time I dealt with this, it was very confusing. If I remember correctly, there were 3 different places that I had to set the correct search path for the .m file:
1) Tools>Options>MathScript
2) In the Project, right-click on My Computer and select Properties>MathScript
3) Tools>MathScript Window>File>LabVIEW MathScript Properties
The documentation seems to indicate that at least 1 and 2 should be the same and 3 only applies to that window, but like I said, last time I did this I remember having to change all three.
Good luck!

What the best way to create User defined table with ADDON purpose
Hi folks, how are you ?
I´m beginner in development to business one, and I m studying to develop ISV addons.
But, during my exercises and analisys, I learned that have two ways to create tables and fields in business one. One way is throght by wizard in business one using Tools Menu > Configuration Tools > User Defined Tables >
Obs: I ´m using Business One Patch Level 9.
Other way, is create the tables and fields using DI API
But, my question is. When I develop one addon, or one UDO form that uses one set of user defined tables or used defined fields that where created by the first way (by wizard in B1), how I deploy this in other business one installation ? The package process will ensure the creation of this tables in another enviroment or I must implement the creation of user defined tables using DI API so that this code is called during the installation?
If in cases of addon develop I must use DI API to create user defined tables, How can I use my classes with this responsibility in package process ?
Thanks my friends.Hi Renan,
You just need to put your logic in to the startup of your application, after you've established your connection to the UI API and DI API. All this will be triggered in the constructor of your main class.
namespace MyNamespace
public class MyAddon
bool runAddon = true;
bool initialised = false;
const string ADDON_NAME = "My Addon";
public static void Main()
MyAddon addOn = new MyAddon();
if(runAddon)
System.Windows.Forms.Application.Run();
else
Application.Exit();
public MyAddon()
// Connect to SBO session for UI
if(!SetApplication()) runAddon = false;
private bool SetApplication()
// Code goes in here to establish UI API and DI API connections
// See SDK samples for examples
// You should also define and filter the UI API events your addon will trap at this stage and create any menus
// Call your routine to check if the required UDFs/UDTs exist on this company
initialised = CheckInitialisation();
if (!initialised)
// AddOn not yet intialised on this company so prompt the user to run the intialisation process
int iResponse = app.MessageBox("The " + ADDON_NAME + " addon will now create all required fields and tables."
+ System.Environment.NewLine + System.Environment.NewLine
+ "WARNING: It is strongly recommended that all other users are logged out of this company "
+ "before running this process. Are you sure you wish to continue?", 2, "Yes", "No", "");
if (iResponse == 1) initialised = InitialiseAddOn(); // Call your routine to create the objects
return true;
Kind Regards,
Owen
