User deletion in SRM 4.0

Hi Guys
Can anyone suggest me how to delete large number of Users from the SRM system,i.e with Postion, BP, an SU01 data should be removed. As I dont have option for deletion of users from USERS_GEN trxn in SRM 4.0.
Please help by suggesting me with any program or Tcode .

you can use the program RHRHDL00 to delete any object in the org. structure .

Product Category Deletion in SRM (not with Hierarchy)

Hello All,
Certain Product categories are to be deleted in SRM which belong to different R3 Back end systems
I tried the COMM_HIERARCHY Tx in SRM and did the following:
   Select the Product assigned to the relebvant Back end system and delete manually
But I observed that there are dependencies as in case this P Category is assigned to some Pgrps as RESP_PRCAT
in which case , this assignment is to be deleted prior to deleting the Pcategory from the system
It is a huge and manual work.
Did anybody come across such a scenario?
Are there any standard reports by SAP or customized reports developed which can be made use of?

Use the following reports
COM_PRODUCT_DELETE_ALL      Used to delete product master data.
COM_PRODUCT_DELETE_SINGLE     Used to delete product master data.
For executing above reports please register your user id and program names in below table then only you can execute above reports.COMC_PR_TOOL_REG

Invoice deletion in SRM system

Hi All,
We are using the extended classic scenario.An invoice has to be deleted from SRM system having staus "awaiting approval".
(p.s:the invoice is still in the SRM system and it is not posted in the backend)
When we tried deleting the invoice ,a Pop-up message appears u201CThis Document is locked by another Useru201D .
Tried to check if it is stuck in the workflow but havent found any entry in the table BBP_WFLOCK.
Kindly advise on how to go about deleting the invoice.

Normally if the PO is ORDERED/ output generated once we can't delete
the PO. I am not sure how the user is deleting the PO. Please check the
transfer of PO from SRM to R/3 system using FM bbp_pd_po_transfer_exec (use the PO guid for this)

Question on LDAP integration & user deletion

In the "Administration Console Help" Document it states:
"You cannot invite user accounts that are mastered in an LDAP-based user directory; these accounts are created automatically when you synchronize the LDAP directory."
Does this mean that after configuring a LDAP Realm, the users specified by the filter should be automatically pulled into OnTrack? I do not see ldap users when executing a blank search from the admin console. At this point, I also cannot log into OnTrack using a valid LDAP user. I was trying to see if OnTrack worked similar to UCM where the OnTrack user acct would be created once the user logs into the application.
What I can do is go to "Create User" and enter the email address for a valid ldap user. then I see that user in the full search. that user can also log in successfully.
I wanted to know what the expected behavior was: is there expected to be a required 'registry' of ldap users into ontrack before they can auth into the app? Is there some sync process that needs to be run to pull in the ldap users?
Also, is there any current best practice of user deletion? I see in the admin console that there is a note that states: "Note: User deletion is not supported."

It sounds like you figured this out.
There is NOT an explicit sync of users from LDAP into On Track. The On Track user object is created when the LDAP user first logs in (or when added to a Conversation by another user). After that point, the user will be visible in the admin console. (Note, however, that from the client, you can search for an LDAP user and add them to a Conversation's membership even if that user has not yet logged in to On Track. It does this by searching for the user in the LDAP directory, as well as in On Track's known users. This is a great way to "invite" other people in the organization to participate in On Track.
As for your other questions:
- The recommended way to "delete" a user is to mark the user "Disabled" in On Track. This will prevent that user from logging in and from showing up as a valid user in the client.
- Once a user "[email protected]" exists, it should not be possible to create another "[email protected]" user, even if the first one is disabled, and regardless of which realm those users are in.

here you enter teh name of the user then enter the time slot then execute ..
you will get the information about ther user deletion with the profiles it contains , you can also select the criteria of pwd , user type and also date n time as required

Ymail user deletes appointment sent by Outlook 2010 user

An Outlook 2010 user sent an appointment to about 20 individuals, some gmail, some ymail, some exchange users. The ymail user deleted the appointment from their calendar because
they could not attend, and the deletion removed the appointment from the originating user (Exchange/outlook 2010) calendar, and automatically sent cancellation notices to all of the other users.

Normally, the recipient will not delete appointment from the organizer's calendar.
Please make sure you use exchange version. If you use exchange 2010/2013, I recommend you use Get-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity the organizer's SMTP Address:\calendar | fl cmdlet to level permissions for a folder.
Besides, please check if the issue occurs when other users( such as gmail users or exchange users) delete appointment.

Users upload in SRM system

Hi friends
I wanted to know the order of the fields in which they have to be arranged in a file to upload the users in the SRM system, using users_gen.
I want the header like which field belong to what ?
Can anyone guide me on this.

Hello ,
If you are uploading users from file ,
The sequence will be same as the sequence in which you select the fields , The first 3 are mandatory fields
User ID
Last Name
Org Unit
After that you can select from the options.
Please note that you can define two different seperators while uploading the users , comma or semicolon ..
The file type should be based on the seperator you have selected.

User deletes Installed Application / Directory

Can anyone help me? I have browsed through earlier threads but could not find an answer to my question.
My question is "What if the user plays around with the client(deletes the installed directory or removes or moves a few or all files) that is transparently installed on his PC?"
All documents talk about changing of JARS at the server but what about user manipulating at his end(Client end).
Please help me ASAP.

You are right in saying that JWS does not install any applications and it only caches JAR's. But my question was WHAT IF the user deletes the JAR's. In that case what happens when the user clicks on the desktop icon(created earlier)? Will he get an error? Or will he have to realunch the application again from browser by calling the JNLP URL? or by clicking on the desktop icon, JWS seamlessly calls the JNLP, caches again and runs the applicaiton transparently to the user?

Error in User integration with SRM

Hi Everyone,
We are using SRM5.0 and Classic Scenario. We have a issue with user integration.
One user for whom i am trying to integrate into SRM system but it is not integrating properly.
In USERS_GEN, I am getting error as ' Assignment : Business partner person to the user is not unique'.
And in PPOSA_BBP , when i try to see the user organizational assignment, i could see that the assignment is properly done.
But the BP of the user is missing. Only CP and the user ID is avaiable without BP number.
And in the details of the position (for this user), there is a error 'Attribute check for (position name) failed'.
I could see that all the attributes are maintained correctly and also i tried replicating the HR data again by PFAL, but nothing succeeds.
Please provide some suggestions of how it can be solved.

Hi,
You can correct the users by deleting the assignments of the users in transaction PPOMA_BBP and then adding assignments of the users again.
For this purpose, position the cursor on the business partner of the user, select the context menu with the right mouse button and choose 'Delete -> Assignment'. Note the business partner number and then assign the business partner to the position again. Restart transaction
USERS_GEN to check.

Vendor deletion in SRM and ECC

Experts,
We are on SRM 5.0.ECS.,
I have read several threads on SDN but none talks about the actual steps of setting the flag for deletion of a vendor in ECC and then updating the chnages in SRM.
What are the steps for setting the deletion flag for vendor in ECC??DOes it need to be done throigh XK06?
Also once the flag is set in ECC,are the changes replicated through UPDVD??Also wha are the updates done on SRM side for that vendor??Is the deletion flag also set for the vendor or the vendor is directly dleted from SMR?????If so which tarnsaction can I check that??
After the vendor deletion happen on both ECC and SRM,what is the message which comes up when we try to create PO with this vendor in SRM?
Also before the vendor is deleted from both systems,is it necessary to close all the old documents(SC and PO) which has this vendor?

tcode : BP (Tab Control )
You will see central block for that vendor. If purchasing block is setup it can be seen in manage business partner tcode.

If central block is there it won't be available in search list. If still user manages to enter the vendor the system may throw up error message. Vendor is blocked for purchasing.
Also before the vendor is deleted from both systems,is it necessary to close all the old documents(SC and PO) which has this vendor?
Vendor is treated as business partner in the SRM. BUPA_TEST_DELETE is used to delete any vendor or business partner. The system itself will issue an error message that vendor can't be deleted. In R/3 its independent.
My suggestion is apart from deletion please select purchasing block.

SC deletion in SRM 7.0

Hello Expert,
We observe, when deleting SC in SRM 7.0, we sometimes get error message: 'User XYZ, is already processing this document, try again later'.
Here the user XYZ is background job user.
With this user we are running below jobs:
1) BBP_GET_STATUS_2 at 15 mins frequency (Takes on average 350 seconds to finish)
2) CLEAN_REQREQ_UP at 15 mins frequency (Takes on average 25-30 seconds to finish)
Could the job frequency is an issue here?

Hi,
When you get the error "User XYZ, is already processing this document, try again later" check the transaction code SM12 you can find some lock entries created by the XYZ user against that Shopping cart that you are trying to delete.Its because the jobs BBP_GET_STATUS_2 or CLEAN_REQREQ_UP would have created a lock entry while updating the shopping cart and at that time you would have tried to delete the shopping cart. Since there is a lock against that shopping cart you would have got the error.
This issue is not because of the job frequency its just a timing issue(Coincidence).

Options for delta deletion in SRM-MDM

Hi! I understand that MDM cannot do delta deletion unless we have full refresh. However, we usually get delta files that has a column/field that tell us whether the item is an Add, Change or Delete. We were able to use that information to delete the appropriate item in the old catalog management system (Requisite). However, with SRM-MDM we cannot do that.
One option I thought of was to create a custom field in the repository and then capture this information so that the administrator can delete it manually. However, I wonder whether there is a way to automate it? If we leave the items in the system without deleting it, then they can be potentially used by the users. Another option is to set a timeframe and create a named search to limit the catalog items by timeframe but I am wondering whether there is an easier way to automatically delete the item with the status 'Delete'? Has anyone tried to do the same before? What options do I have in this case? Appreciate any advice on the above.

Hi SF,
I can relate to your pain. There is no automatic deletion function delivered by SAP in MDM. However, you can build a custom Java API or ABAP API program to achieve auto-deletion (if your customer is willing to invest in some development in this area).
Some other tips:
a. You don't have to create a custom field to indicate that a record is to be deleted. Simply add a new Item Status (standard lookup table), e.g. "Delete", and then populate records in your import files with this Item Status as needed.
b. For your end users not to see these "Delete" records in the WebDynpro Search UI, build a named search that excludes the Item Status "Delete" value.
