User did not respond (not another one!!!)

Hello, I recently purched a Macbook Pro and I can't get the video chat feature in iChat to work. I have tried all the tutorials, everything to try and get this **** thing to work.
I have turned my firewall off, changed the port that AIM uses, and just about everthing else that has been recomended. I am cureently using a Linksys WRT54GX2, and I havent changed a think on there. I am trying to connect to a person over AIM. He has a Macbook and a Airport Extreme. We are both getting the "user did not respond" error when we try to connect to each other.

My music player is not responding/not working!

my nokia 5320 is three months old, i'hv loaded few songs into the mobile(music player), and it was working perfectly fine. all of a sudden it stopped playing. when i press the music player icon, "now playing" screen comes on with its contents, artist, albums....etc. further when i select any of those, it does not respond. can any one help. what should i do?

'not responding' when another app opens

iDVD 7.1.2
OS 10.9.4
iDVD runs fine until another app is launched. Then it's 'not responding' and I've given it up to a half hour to recover.
Activity monitor says it's regularly over 100%.
MacBook (Fall 2010).
Tossed cache.db and plist.
Other ideas please?

Try this basic troubleshooting fix:
1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder.
3 - launch IDVD and try again.
NOTE: In Lion, Mountain Lion and Mavericks the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
If you're running Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
It the above doesn't help Boot into Safe Mode, Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode, and try iDVD there. Then reboot normally and try again.

Zen player not responding/not turning on

My zen just stopped working. it was fully charged and I loaded it with music but when I turned it on later in the day to use while running, it didn't turn on. it won't respond to reset, charging and no computer recognizes it when I plug it in. seems I have a dead zen. I've tried everything I've read on several forums. Any more ideas would be appreciated.
I'm about to give up on my Zen. we've already had to send it in to the factory to be fixed once. these things are not made well.

I have the same problem with my zen stone, they told me in the Technical Support to connect it to PC,then push reset for 0 seconds and charge battery during two hours. It didn't help so in their opinion I should go to the shop I bought it and have it changed for another one. I don't think there is any other solution in your case too
I had MuVo before I bought Zen, the previous one was working perfectly whole three years, I don't know why Zen players are so much worse

Creative cloud app not responding-not allowing use of photoshop

When I try to open Photoshop it goes straight to the Adobe Application manager which does not respond and acts like it is loading for hours. What can I do to get this to work?

It could be as simple as a glitch with their server; but, we don't know for sure, so I'd suggest calling Apple (800-275-2273 in the US) and telling them that you want to register Applecare (tell them the website is not responding). You have 364 days from the date of purchase of your computer to register.

The iPhone warranty is only valid in the country where the iPhone has been bought.

To restart the computer press and hold the Power button until the computer shuts down. Then do the following:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
Quit the installer and restart the computer.
If there's more to your problem then you need to provide a more complete description.

Premiere Pro CS5 Not Responding / Not Opening / Audio Mixer Issue?

I have been editing 300GB of 10bit AVI footage with no problems. Recently I have had to record additional voice over which I have done through the audio card using Premier Pros Audio mixer and it appears this is where the problem may be occurring.
The Project has been set up onto three drives:
I am running the .prproj / project files off one 2TB drive and the video & audio assets on an additional 2TD drive, premier pro & the operating system is on a separate drive. I have no anti virus running or any other resource hungry programs.
PC specs:
Intel Core i7 2600 3.4Ghz Quad
16GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 560 1GB
I resave the project after each change and it appears that the edits that have the audio recordings eg: 5 different projects will not open. The projects that don't have the audio recordings open with no problems.
Does anyone have any suggestions or come across similar problems when using the Audio Mixer?

If I erase ex-admin user and replace it with another one, will the applications installed previously be still available?

I am going to pass my MBP to a friend and I'm trying to erase all my personal data. I didn't find a better solution as to delete myself as an old User and create a brand new User with administrator rights. I wonder if my AppStore applications as well as some programs such as MS Office, Photoshop, etc. will still be available for a new user.

Licensing on those programs belong to you and are not directly transferable. The correct way to do this is by reinstalling the OS and shutting the Mac off before first start, so the new user can register his info.

Iphone 4 screen not responding. not able to use the slider to unlock the phone

I have a iphone 4 which was purchased in the UK 2 yrs back. I use this phone in india. Since today morning the screen has become unresponsive and i am not able to use the slider to unlock the screen to be able to make or recieve calls or perform any other fuction on my phone. I spoke to apple customer care in india about this problem and they suggested to try restoring the phone which didnt work out. Now they say that I will have to get this repaired in the UK since apple doesnt have apple stores and service centers in India. I think it is some hardware issue. I am not in a position to send it back to UK since i dont have any friends or relatives there in the UK nor i am traveling to the UK at this point in time. Pls help me out and suggest how can i get my phone replaced in India.

My i pad is hanged with notification of i cloud and not responding not even shuting down

i got a notification "NOT ENOUGH STORAGE" (This ipad cannot be backed up becouse there is not engough icloud storage available ) after that i cannot do anything on i pad the notification is not going off after chossing Close or setting buttons. Totaly hanged cannot even acsess the slider to shoutdown the ipad pl help.

Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple logo.

"User" did not resond

So - i, like milions of other iChat users am tired of seeing th "User (my name) did not respond" message. I have read through all the stuff (what to do to my computer - what to do to my network router). is their any new current advice on fixing the problem? I have a Lynksis wrielss G router. This problem is especialy frustraiting b/c i purchased the Mac Book just for this (i will be out of the country for a year in about 2 months) If i could fix the problem before i leave i would be thrilled.

Just to add my 2 cents worth. I am a brand new MacBook owner (about 2 weeks now) and I used iChat with video and audio the day I got the MBP and it worked great with my buddy in Texas. I've made no changes to my home network setup, router, etc since everything has been working fine.
He recommended doing all of the software updates that were available. I did and after that, I noticed that I get the "user did no respond" error. I dont recall what version of the OS shipped with the MBP but I know I'm now on 10.4.6.
Seems to me something in the Software update broke this! <grin>

IPad 2 - did an erase and reset and now it will not respond

I did an erase and reset on my iPad 2 and now it will not respond, not even by plugging it in to a computer.
I attempted to do this last night before 10pm and it is after 1pm and is still "cycling". (The little circle in the middle of a black screen that just goes round and round)
I've tried to power off with side and front buttons and I have plugged it into the computer as well. Computer is not recognizing it is even there.
HELP!

Powering Off by using the two buttons? Did you reboot it this way?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Sony Xperia Z touch screen not responding

My Sony Xperia Z has been giving me problems ever since I bought it in May 2013.By October 2013 I had to send this phone for repair twice.In the last 9 months though it was doing well and there no problem till today afternoon when I found out that the touch screen was not responding.The phone was on charge when this happened and there was a heavy downpour though not a single drop fell on the phone.I tried using the power button to switch it on and off but could not use the shut the phone option because the touch screen wont respond.I have rebooted the phone and switched it off using the power+volume up button multiple times since then.After about an hour when I was trying for the umpteenth time to key in my password I saw that some numbers were randomly getting punched in.After several attempts the phone's touch screen did respond and I was able to make a call but post that the touch screen went back to the not responding mode.Another hour later and exposing the phone to the sun beating down while i was in a car helped and this time I was able to see all my msgs and mails.My elation was shortlived as the phone went back to the touch screen not responding mode.I had a short trip to make by air and I switched off my phone and put it on charge using the USB connected to my laptop.When I switched on after landing I found that I was able to key in my password but after that the phone again got stuck.Since this last occurence about two hours ago the touchscreen has not responded.It is frustrating to see that msgs are coming,people are calling and I can see the numbers,mails are getting downloaded but I cant do anything about it.Right now the phone is submerged in a jar of rice in the hope that the mositure might dry out and it will be back to normal again.Please suggest whether using the hair dryer would help or not.I must repeat the phone has not got wet.I also removed the screen guard on both the ends and the back cover to allow the phone to breath.Waiting anxiously for help

Update for a phone that cost me 34k Sony asks 26k for repair
Time to trash this useless,good for nothing phone..Sony please stick to making TVs and Cameras smartphone is beyond you.
