User Directory services stopped working

Getting this err all the sudden:
The User Directory publishing service reported an error.
https://server:8900/contribute
Error details: End of file or no input:' Operations
interrupted or timed out'
Happens to everyone. using CPS 1.11 with ActiveDirectory. I
had upgrade to new hardware about 2 weeks ago but everything worked
nicely after the move. I did decommision an old DC, but not the one
CPS uses in the admin screens. Does it pick a random DC behind the
scenes and use that all the time?

Tried restarting. No change. In the admin page I can search
and test auth just fine. I installed Contribute on another clean
computer that has never had it before and tried and get the same
problem. I am thinking about reinstalling but I really don't want
to as I have about 20 roles/users to recreate. Or how can I back
the config up so I can restore the user/roles info?

  • Data services stop working after updating to new OS version for Q10

I am from Qatar, after i updated my device ( Q10 SNQ100-3 ) to new OS ( 10.2.1.537 ), the mobile data services stopped working, but it works everytime I connect to wifi. This is the same with Z10. Please need help.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive
    2) Reboot
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
    Good luck!

All of these are old and show CF working just fine. Do you
    have any
errors from the time CF stopped working? Is there anything in
    the event
viewer? When you say "stop working", do you mean fails to
    start, throws
errors, silently fails? How have you configured CF?
    Multiserver? Single
server? Does CF still work through the built-in webserver?
    Can you start
CF from the command line jrun?

  • LiveCycle, Email Service Stops working

    Hi Folks,
I'm having a sporadic issue with LiveCycle. Roughly 2-3 times a month the email service will stop working. Users can still email our adobe mailbox and wont receive any errors back but their documents arent being sent back to them. Once i restart the Jboss service the application will start working again and process the backlog. Has anyone experienced this issue? I've copied an extract from the log from the last time this issue occured.
    thanks

  • XE web service stopped working

I installed XE 10g rel 2 on a Ubuntu Linux server a few weeks ago (so that's how much experience I have). I've been using the web service (server:8080/apex from one Vista and one XP client) for a few days. After a few hours of light work today, a couple of simple queries seemed to hang. Eventually I tried to end the sessions under the admin panel, but they didn't stop. I tried to restart the database, but then could no longer connect. Seems port 8080 is no longer serving. Restarting the server didn't help.
The network connection is OK. The database is up: I can access it using SQL*Plus from locally on the server.
While hacking at this problem, I have:
    - changed tnsnames.ora, replacing server name with server IP address. NB server name is moo.mag. Oracle seems to know it as moo and sometimes as moo.mag. /etc/hosts is shown below.
    - changed the password for user oracle and added user oracle to group dba.
    Below I have:
    - tnsnames.ora
    - listener.ora
    - listener.log
    - /etc/hosts
    Help is appreciated!

Doublechecking, m. When you did your iTunes reinstall, was it a complete uninstall/reinstall as per the following document?

  • Apple Mobile Device Service Stopped Working 8.2

Ugh. I know there have been many posts on this, and I've tried all the suggestions, but nothing has helped.
I'm running Vista Ultimate x64. I upgraded to iTunes 8.2. The second it finished installing, I got a message that said "Apple Mobile Device Stopped Working and Was Closed". The computer recognizes my iPhone, and there are no errors in the device manager, but iTunes says "iTunes can not sync with the iPhone because Apple Mobile Device Service is not started. Here's what I've done so far:
I added application exceptions for everything in the Apple Mobile Device and iTunes folders to my Norton 360 firewall.
I uninstalled everything Apple related (including mobile device service, bonjour, etc), cleaned my registry and re-installed 8.2.
I uninstalled again and went back to 8.1 The mobile device service worked, but when I opened iTunes I got an iTunes message that said "iTunes can not open ituneslibrary.itl because it was created by a newer version of iTunes."
I uninstalled, reinstalled 8.2, uninstalled just the mobile device service, and installed just the mobile device service from 8.1. Everything was fine until I opened iTunes and got an error message that said "iTunes recquires a newer version of Apple Mobile Device Support. Please upgrade".
So at this point it looks like my options are: Go back to 8.1 and start over with a brand new library (which is a huge pain because I've got over 300 gigs of music and at least 50 playlists that I use for my work) OR stay with 8.2 and not be able to sync my iPhone (also a huge pain because, well, I need to be able to sync).
Here's the log entry in my Event Viewer every time the "Appple Mobile Device Stopped Working" error pops up: "Faulting application AppleMobileDeviceService.exe, version 2.50.39.0, time stamp 0x49f9b7cf, faulting module RPCRT4.dll, version 6.0.6001.18051, time stamp 0x48002cd4, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00018092, process id 0x14d8, application start time 0x01c9e9f70b1e30ad."
Does anybody have any ideas? Does it have something to do with my system being 64 bit and where iTunes installs its drivers and such? Is there another update coming soon, Apple?
    Thanks,
    Matt

Stay with itunes 8.1 - sounds like that was working for you.
Get the itunes database file for itunes 8.1 out of the *Previous iTunes Libraries* folder.

  • ICloud services stop working suddenly?  Read if you use OpenDNS

    Hi,
If your iCloud services like Find My Friends or Find My iPhone have stopped working on your devices recently while connected to your wifi network, and you get errors about not being connected to the Internet, and you use OpenDNS domain filtering services on your network, you might want to add icloud.com to your OpenDNS whitelist. It appears that they just added icloud.com to various blocking filters like chat, file storage, etc.
You'll know if OpenDNS is blocking your access if you use your desktop browser to go to iCloud.com and you get the OpenDNS block page. That's how I finally figured out what the problem was. I was going to try to log into iCloud from my browser to make sure my account was not hacked.
I wonder how many support calls Apple is getting because of this...
Anyway, I hope this helps others who might find themselves with icloud services not working suddenly on their devices.
    Mike

    Mike,
Thanks for your posting. I observed the same situation at my location and it seems that someone inserted the "icloud.com" domain in the "Instant Messaging" category as I block that one.
At the moment of writing these lines, the "icloud.com" domain is part of the following categories at OpenDNS:
    Instant messaging
    Chat
    File storage
    Webmail
    Software/Technology
Some solutions will be for you to either whitelist the entire 'icloud.com" domain or allow the above mentionned categories.
    Cheers

  • TCP services stop working every morning

    Hello,
I have a relatively complex problem that has brought me to the limit of
    my limited knowledge.
History: I have a BM 3.5 server running on NW 5.0. I am patched. It has
been running for years. I have a linux cluster running qmail. All traffic
from the internal network passes through the cluster and then through BM
to get to the internet (dedicated connection). BM is running NAT (static
and dynamic), firewall and proxy services.
Monday things changed. Now everyday I arrive in the morning and mail is
mounting up on the cluster. If I unload ipflt on BM nothing changes. I
can't telnet to any 25 or 80 port from the mail server. All services stop
that use TCP. I have a squid server in test right now. This server has a
statitic NAT address. That machine (and others) can ping addresses using
DNS on the internet (with ipflt unloaded) but can not browse or send mail.
I am monitoring my internet router (it is outside the BM server) via MRTG
and snmp (UDP) from a machine on the internal network. This does not stop
    working.
The proxy on BM continues working perfectly.
Routing has not presented any noticible problem.
Summary: Every morning all TCP services running behind BM stop working.
UDP and ICMP continues. I have unloaded NAT and reloaded to no avail. The
only solution seems to be the restarting of BM. Once I do that everything
    starts up again.
How do I trouble shoot a TCP problem on BM? This is probably the oddest
thing I have seen. Quite frankly I'm not sure if it is BM (NAT). This
    maybe a basic Netware problem.
Any thoughts would be extremely appreciated.
    Brian

    Cat and Maximo,
    > Let me try to get that straight. Your BM does static NAT for your
    > mailserver (and other boxes), and suddenly UDP and ICMP from these
    > natted servers through the BM still works, but TCP doesn't?
Yes. That's what it looks like.
    > Can you still do TCP *to* the BM from the natted devices when that
    > happens? As you say your proxy continues to work, it sounds as if TCP in
    > general on the server continues to work, but does it also work from the
    > mailserver?
Everyone browsing via BM proxy continues with no interuption.
The mail server can telnet to any other server on the internal LAN but
nothing past BM. DNS continues working for the mail server too.
    > If really nothing changed, this might be a (succesful) DOS attack of
    > some sort. I wonder if a LAN trace could reveal anything of interest.
Do you mean port scan the BM server?
I know that "nothing has changed" is a loaded statement. The only thing
(that I know of) that has changed relatively recently is the addition of
the Squid server. It has been running behind the BM server for about 3
weeks. Recently I added a filter exception allowing the Squid server to
    access higher ports (dyn/tcp).
But, as I noted before, I think removing ipflt should eliminate any
doubts there. Is there some way Squid could be corrupting something there?
The problem was compounded this morning (saturday). I came in today so I
would have the network essentially to myself. But, to my surprise,
    everything was ok.
Cat, You're right. This server is no spring chicken. It is an IBM
Netfinity 3000. Its probably 3 or 4 years old (maybe more). I will think
about this as a hardware problem but I just wish the thing would die
altogether and get it over with. :o)
    Thanks,
    Brian

  • Connection from jdeveloper to Oracle cloud service stopped working

My connection to the Oracle cloud using a jdeveloper application server connection stopped working. The connection worked fine for a couple of days and I was able to deploy apps using it.
I get the following error :
    Testing Cloud-Admin                    ... failed.
    listApplications failed.
    Check username, password, domain, instance.
Check cloud sdk location & version: Tools->Preferences->Oracle Cloud
    0 of 1 tests successful.
I double checked the AUTH details and also made sure the sdk location was correct and the same one that worked correctly earlier.
    Thanks.

So this works intermittently without any changes ? Sounds peculiar, I haven't had such issues though there have been few occasions where the connection did not work, but those have always been very brief and rare. The only thing I can think of is some sort proxy issue. You probably need to contact the JCS support to get the issue investigated ..

  • Ssh, telnet, ftp & tftp services stop working

I have a new SunV245 running Solaris 9 that when I start the server up everything works good, but after 8-12 hours the network type services quit working (ssh, telnet, ftp, & tftp) however I can still ping the interfaces so the network is there. I reboot and everything starts working again. Has anyone seen this before? Is there some kind of power save option that could be shutting the inetd type services down?

  • E-mail and Internet Service stopped working and I cannot get it going again - Pearl 8130

I recently activated e-mail and a data package (December 12th to be exact). On Saturday I noticed that I stopped receiving e-mails from my Hotmail, and as of today I'm receiving any e-mails from my work e-mail either. It worked 100% normally up to this point.
My browswer or online applications are not working whatsoever either. It says "There is insufficient network coverage to process your request. Please try again later", which is garbage as I have just fine network coverage as I sit in my office.
Yesterday I received a message to my phone stating:
"Update the password for jsytsma@**************.on.ca in the BlackBerry Internet Service! E-mail messages from jsytsma@**************.on.ca are not being delivereed to your BlackBerry device. To resume receiving email messages from this address, update the password for jsytsma@**************.on.ca in the BlackBerry Internet Service:"
And it proceeds to tell me how to do this. It says I can do it through my phone, which is a dead end as I go to tweak it, and I get the message about "Insufficient network coverage".
I then went to my Web Client login and tried what I thought to be my username and password. I tried several combinations and nothing was working. I have 2 passwords I use for things and I tried them over and over again with different user names, but I'm 95% sure my user name is "jsytsma".
So last resort, I type in my pin and it said the username/password will be sent to my BlackBerry messenger. That would be great if everything were working! So far it's been over 2 hours and I've received nothing.
Is there a number I can call that DOESN'T cost me $55 CDN dollars a call?

    Do that ^^ as stated.
    or:
    1. Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.
    2. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot
    if still nothing...
    3. resend your service books from your carrier BIS site.
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/Where_can_I_log_into_my_BIS_account%3F
or, for a call that doesn't cost you $55, call your carrier.

  • URGENT Vodafone "vodacom" blackberry service stopped Working in CDMA phones in WHOLE South africa

customers using CDMA devices like storm 9530,tour 9630 ....can not use blackberry service due to vodafone "vodacom" netWork issues !!!!!!
it looks like they  have removed CDMA device identifiers for their BB service books, so any time a CDMA device attempts to re-register with the network (such as after an update), they cannot do so. and they blame it on the cdma phones ...........
