User e-mail address in 2 mailing lists

I have a question from a customer i had no idea.
if a persons email address is in 2 mailing lists do they get the e-newsletter twice if the customer sends the e-newsletter to both lists.

Hi Paul,
If the contact is in both lists selected to send the newsletter out to the system will recognize the duplicate and will only send a single e-mail in this case.
Kind regards,
-Sidney

After yesterday upgrading from Mavericks to Yosemite I can no longer find in Mail the icon (looks like the Add To Contacts icon without the + mark) I used to press in order to obtain an e-mail address from my contact list. What procedure should I use now in order to quickly add an address to an e-mail that I wish to send?

In Gmail I was able to add an e-mail address to "Send mail as".  I am able to pick this new address when I am on a computer but not on my iPad.  How do I add a "Send mail as" address to the mail program on my iPad?  The email address I am trying to add is not an account but is a group name created with the gmail address as a member.

  • Ban Outgoing e-mail addresses and delay mail send

    1. We want to limit users ability to send outgoing e-mails to particular e-mail addresses.
(Either by use of blacklist (by domain or specific e-mail address) or if necessary by limiting it to addressbook addresses. We would prefer use of blacklist.
    2. We also want to automatically hold all e-mails until either
    a) manually released or
    b) if not manually released, e-mail held for 1 hour (- allows mail to be retrieved if "accidentally pressed send" events occur ).
Any ideas for add-ons or other suggestions please

  • How do I separate my e mail addresses using Mac Mail in Mavericks?

Hi All, moving from my beloved Snow Leopard to Mavericks has not been good.
In Mac Mail I have a mix of POP (my main accounts) and IMAP (G Mail) accounts.
Since installing Mavericks the e mail addresses are now all lumped together (as on an iPad) and I do not want this!
Please advise how I can go back to separate addresses listed as before? Help! I choose to prioritise my e mails and a whole lot at once is so not where I want to be! (And it does not look as stylish as before!)
    Thank You!

Answered!  Ok, I am trudging my way through Mavericks and it seems I have my separate Mail boxes back.
I have to say that I do not like the look of Mavericks. It was so clean, simple and smart before. It feels kind of messy but maybe I need lots more time to get used to it .But so far, a bit sad I've upgraded to Mavericks. I did it first on my Mac Book before doing so on my iMac and at the mo I am not going to!

  • I can't remove an e-mail address from Junk Mail

The Apple Mail Application incorrectly marked an e-mail address as Junk.
This documentation is not working for me: Mail (Mavericks): Mark messages
I don't see the banner - I can't find the "thumbs up" icon. Anything else I can try?
    Thanks.

Select the message. Under Message in the Menu bar select Mark > Not Junk.
Edit the Toolbar and add junk icon.
    Select the Toolbar in Mail.
Control-Click (Right-click) and select Customize Toolbar.
Add the icon for Junk (Thumbs down) This toggles to Thumbs up to mark as not junk for junk messages.

  • How do I remove old e-mail addresses from the Mail Memory?

I have friends who have changed the e-mail addresses, and quite some time ago also. But everytime I write their name in the address field, it still brings up the old address as an option. And if I'm not paying attention it sends to the old address.
If there a way to clear the Mail memory so that it won't use old addresses?
    Thanks.

  • E-mail addresses in Apple Mail not showing up in Apple Contacts (iCloud All Contacts)

I've been going though my contacts in the Apple Contacts app, which I have set up to use iCloud, deleting old contacts and cleaning up messy ones. And I've noticed there are a lot of e-mail addresses that I have in Apple Mail - I just start to type a few letters in the To: field and they come up - that are nowhere to be seen in the Contacts app.
Shouldn't these be in my Contacts app? Where else would these contacts be stored? And is there a way to sync them into my iCloud All Contacts or do I have to manually track each one down and add it in the Contacts app?
Quick edit to add: I've also now noticed that the same applies on my iPhone. E-mail addresses appear in iOS Mail that are not in my iOS Contacts app (I've performed a search to be doubly sure). Where do these contacts live and why are they not in my Contacts apps?

  • Retrieve multiple e-mail address and send mail to multiple recipients

    Hello,
I wonder if somebody could help me...at least with the clue to do the following.
I have a form, with a textarea , where the people should put the e-mail addreses of all the people that later will receive all the form data via e-mail..
I do not know how to retrieve all this e-mail addresses from the textarea (format?) and then how to send the e-mail to multiple recipients .
It works for one...but I do not know how to do this for several recipients...
    could you please help?

There is a setReceiptants method on the Message object.
    http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/javadocs/javax/mail/Message.html#setRecipients(javax.mail.Message.RecipientType,%20javax.mail.Address[])
You will need to create an array of Addresses to feed it (just make space, commas, and semi-colons be tokens in your string and iterate it to create the address array)

  • Mail address incorrect in Mail when part of a Group but correct in AB

Is there a way to remove previous addresses that have been received in Mail? One of my frequent contacts shows an incorrectly formatted address when I create a new message. It shows the name and the email address but it does not include the first < of the email addy. I have to edit the address each time. The person is part of a group address and this format comes up whether I'm sending to the group or the individual. It does not choose the address from the individual's AB card. And the server won't accept it without my editing the change.
Actually, I have a problem anytime any individual is also part of a group. I would guess it's a product of the Group Card format. The Group address adds a bracket at the beginning of a string of addresses then closes with a bracket after the last on. > so the first address in the group shows a
< email address but no close >. The last address in each group shows name, email address > but no opening <.
It happens with every first and last person in any group despite the fact that the email addresses are not bracketed in the individual AB cards.
How do I edit these groups so that all addresses appear correctly? The editing changes never cause a permanent change because they're taken from the Group format.
Is there a way to delete the incorrect ones that appear when I'm sending a new message?

I have a group called Circle. It has four members. When I select New Message and type in C, Circle is one of my choices. All names under C are followed by email addresses that appear within angle brackets. This is also true for Circle. There are no names within the brackets, just addresses. The first address opens with an angle bracket followed by the first email address then a comma, and the rest of the member addresses. The last email address ends with a bracket. All addresses are within one blue oval.
Under Preferences/Composing, I have 'Automatically Complete Addresses' selected.
I've also just found further down the list, another choice that just says Circle with no addresses showing. When I select that for a New Message, only the name Circle shows in the blue oval (with no angle brackets). The name Circle doesn't expand to complete the addresses, although I have that selected in Preferences. If I open it and say expand Group, it shows all names and email addresses (each of which is within its own angle brackets and blue oval). That may be the link to the Group I created in the AB. Wonder where the other one came from? Perhaps I created it as an email message and outside of the AB? Might that solve this mystery of incorrect formatting?

  • Multiple/Alternate E-mail Addresses in 1 Mail Account?

In Mail on the Mac, you can specify multiple return addresses in an account, separated by commas.
ie: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
When you do this, Mail lets you choose from that list of addresses in the Account pop-up menu when you are composing an outgoing message.
When Mail accounts sync to the iPhone, this setting is preserved. For example, I can look in the account settings on the phone and see "[email protected], [email protected], [email protected]".
However, when composing a message on the phone, there seems to be no way to select from this list of return addresses, as there is on the Mac. On the phone, it seems that the first address in the list is always used ([email protected] in this example).
Am I missing something? Can this be done? If not, that is kind of a drag.

  • How to use different mail address  in icloud mail

    Hi,
I'm facing a dilemma : switch from Gmail to iCloud
I would like to gather my cloud account and i'm quite satisfied of apple icloud, but there still is a last barrier to me :
    multi-mail accounts !
I didn't find any solution in order to be able to send mails from iCloud with an alias as @gmail.com, @live.com or any other mails.
I totally can forward all my mails to my icloud address (im already doing it with Gmail) but i NEED to be able to answer my mails with the correct alias (for work as much as for private life) just as i currently do with google mail service linking my alias smtp's.
This is the last thing that makes the swap from Google to iCloud impossible for me, but maybe there is a solution ....
    Thanks,

You cannot send emails via iCloud from non-iCloud email addresses. There is no solution to that using the iCloud service.
There are some convoluted workarounds that involve setting up multiple email accounts with different outgoing mail servers, but they do not allow you to send non-iCloud Mail via iCloud.

  • E-mail address added to incoming invitation

    Hello,
Last time I get more and more invitiations in iCal (as expected, it's agreed with the sender). Thet send the invitation from either Outlook or Lotus Notes. When I look in the invitation not only my mail address is in it, but also the one of my son (and the sender doesn't know him (and also not his e-mail address). I looked in the ics file I received and that doesn't contain my son's e-mail address. However when I look in iCal the e-mail address is in the list of invitees. When I accept the invitation it comes from my son's e-mail address......!!!
The e-mail address also isn't anywhere in the preferences (iCloud/mail-agende-contacts).
BTW: He uses a me.com account, I use my own web account (info[at]dkconsultancy.nl).
    What happens? Anybode an idea?
    Thanks in advance,
    Patrick

    Hi,
Thanks for answering but thats not what I need
    Let me explain more fully.
Every time I send an e mail the address gets added to the recent recipents list automaticaly.
Thats what I want to stop happening.
I want a recent recipents list of just the addresses I choose that I actually need Yes I know that I can edit the list but I have to keep doing it and thats just pain.
So when I send an e mail to a new addres is there an app to give the option message :-
"Hi would you like me to add this new address to your list of addresses?"  Yes    No
    Can that be done?
    Thanks
    Michael

  • B1iSN 9.0 Error E-mail - Invalide E-Mail Address

    Hello together,
If I insert an E-Mail Addess with a hyphen ( - ) i get the message: "Invalide Receiver E-Mail Adress"
A address without a hyphen is possible.
Is there a solution to add more than one Mail Addresses or a Mail Address with an hyphen?
    Regards
    Sabine

    Hello Sabine,
your issue with the hyphen ("-") this is a bug in B1if, we will correct it with the next patch.
To enter more than one E-Mail address in B1i for Sender/Receiver field e.g. separated with a delimiter is not possible at the moment.
Please use a E-Mail distribution list as workaround.
    Best regards
    Bastian
