User exit/BADI AFTER the database commit in va01 va02

Hi All
I need an user exit/BADI <b>AFTER the database tables are updated</b> when save button is pressed on VA01/VA02, both these user exits are fired before that.

    Usually there are no user-exits after COMMIT.
    What you need to do is register a call which will be executed after COMMIT, from one of the available user-exits.
    To do this, SAP provides 2 methods:
    1. PERFORM xxx ON COMMIT
    2. Function Module with attribute "Update Module"

  • To find out user exit/ badi for the VT01n transaction triggered in Save

    Hi Friends,
              I have the following requirement and for this appropriate user exit/ badi should be needed which will trigger during saving of the shipment.
    Cass shipment type (VTTK-ADD03) field needs to be required and should be automatically populated upon creation of the shipment document.  The rules for populating the value (SO, ST, PO and RA) are as follows:
    If any of the orders on the shipment are customer order types, then the CASS shipment type should be a SO,
    If all of the orders are STO orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "ST",
    If all of the orders are PO orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "PO" , and
    If all of the orders are customer return orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "RA".
    I have tried with the 3 badi available and 7 to 8 user exit, but it won't work.

    in MV45afzz, userexit_savedocument_prepare,
    CUCB_GET_SINGLE_instance use this function to get values for configuration, we need to pass XVBAP-CUOBJ to instance importing parameter.
    we can see there values line type in the tables parameter.
    we can update configuration data, just check function  group 'CUCB', you will get function module to update configuration for va01.

  • User exit / BADI for the MATQM01 IDOC type?

    Hello,
       I am working on a Material Master conversion that will need to include the Material Inspection Setup. Using BD10 to send the material 'In Full' generates these MATQM01 IDOCs successfully. As part of this conversion I need to map some old plants to new plants.
    Is there a user exit or BADI within the MATQM process that I can use to accomplish this?
    The BADI/Exits for BD10 do not access the MATQM data. There are no exits listed for QL11 which is the standalone code for creating MATQM idocs.
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Can anyone give me the suitable User exit/BADI for the below scenario.
    While creating the TO (Transfer order) for a delivery using the transaction code LT12, the system will automatically generate HU (Handling unit) number. If the materials are not found in the storage bin for the selected HU, we have to delete the Handling Unit from the delivery document.

    Go to Ouptut type and the Driver Program related to VF01 output type ..
    Go to se16>tnapr>enter output type already available-->see the Output type and form name.
    Next go to se38> enter the Program name aatachned to Form> and at the end of the Pront privew write  the code
    to capture the spool Number and convert the spool data into internal table ( By using Function Module CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF) and next call the Funtion module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1  SAPoffice: Send new document with attachments using RFC.
    if you have problem go to se37-->enter CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF) and see where used list and find the Driver program how they are converting and sending the mail

  • User Exit/BADI/Enhancement Point  in VF01 before new document no assignment

    Hi Expert,
       I am looking for a user exit/BADI/Enhancement point which will trigger in VF01 before the new document no (Billing document no assign).
    I need to cross check few things in Billing via VF01 at billing document save and give error message accordingly. The problem is if new number assign and there is error due to my code then when user save the document next he get a new no. its mean a no skip.
    Example: The invoice no is 1000. User start creating a billing document with Vf01 and he get an error message due to my code at exit , at this point of time the next number assign to billing which is 1001 but document not save due to my error message. Now after applying correction user save data and billing document created with no 1002. So there is no skip.
    I tried BADI BADI_SD_ACCOUNTING but this will trigger after no assignment.  Can someone provide me a user exit/BADI/Enhancement point in VF01 which trigger before no range assignment and contain at least Billing header data to use in my code?

    HI Brad and team,
       BRED is right. I check few user exit normally all of us have that list or easily available on net.
    BRED: my question is: I need to check the billing date VBRK-FKDAT of document should not be less than the sales order plan billing date VBAP-Oldate.
    If this check fail then won't allow the user to create billing document. The problem is I used one user exit SDVFX001 already define previously that's work fine but issue is that user exit trigger after the billing no assignment. That's why when user get that error message he correct the document and create billing this time he get a new number which is skip of one no.
    That why I need a User Exit/BADI/Enhancement Point  which trigger at save but before document no assignment.
    Please update more about your comment "Why not use a header level copy requirement routine to perform the checks and log the messages? This is the standard process."  .
    Suggest user exit USEREXIT_FILL_VBRK_VBRP  trigger before save. I need at save the reason is VBRK-FKDAT  this can be change.

    Hi Experts,
    Our requirement is to trigger an email notification to the Employee after his time sheet is approved using the CATS approval WF.
    We are using the portal to raise the time sheet and approve the same. We want to determine a User Exit/ Badi when the approver clicks on the approved button in the UWL.
    We tried looking into the user exits/badi's etc. given but they are defined only for the R/3 system  using the CATS transaction and not via the portals.
    Could you kindly guide us with any Badi/User Exit that could be used when it is approved via the portal (i.e) when the approver clicks on the approve button in the UWL.

    Hi,
    Are you sure that those possible badis or user exit that you found are not also for Portal? Many times there is no difference whether something is done from backend transaction or a portal application - finally the same code/function is used and thus the same badis & user exits are executed. Of course not always, but plenty of times.
    If if you cannot find anything, please check also the possibility to use enhancement. Check which RFC function is called during the approval (put RFC trace on) and put a break point there, and see what the code does and if you could put your stuff into some place.
    Pay attention also the CATSDB table. That includes the cats entries and if remember correctly, you can find the work item ID there for each CATS entry. Maybe you can build some kind of report based on this table to send the emails instead of using some user exit or whatever.

    Hi,  I have a little "problem" with spool lists: I'm looking at a spool list, generated by a Z-report in a Job. This is in maintenance planning: The job executes a first step to generate with ristra20 maintenance orders. In a second step my Z-report updates the orders generated in the first step. The next morning my maintenance planners can look into the spool generated by the job... but there is no easy, modification-free way to allow my maintenance planners to just double-click on of the order numbers and to sump into the order. For that I would need a user exit / badi in the spool list display.  Now, I got some questions:  Is there somebody else who would be supporting a user exit / badi in spool list display?  How are development requests to be send to SAP nowadays with maximum probability to get implemented?  Thanks for your time, Holger

    Hi Holger,
    If you go to class CL_EXITHANDLER, Method GET_INSTANCE, then put a breakpoint after 'call method cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface' i.e. at line 28 'case sy-subrc'; then run your transaction again and you will get many of the user exits and badis available. It will not show you the enhancement points, but all badis etc. will be there.

    User Exits in Transportation
    In Transportation, there are enhancements that you can use with transaction CMOD.
    For a detailed description of the individual enhancements, see the documentation on the individual enhancements or function modules in transaction SMOD.
    You can display all enhancements that are available for the area of transportation by choosing F4 in the Enhancement field. Enter V56* in the Enhancement field and choose Execute. Enter V54* to get a list of all enhancements for the area of shipment cost processing.
    Business Add-Ins in the transports
    Business add-ins (BADIs) are predefined user exits. They enable businesses, partners, and customers to add additional softward to the SAP source code. The linkup of SAP's New Dimension Products, such as APO and BW, to the standard system is thus possible.
    Customer-specific functions can be executed before the save time and after the database update.
    The following methods are available for the BADI with the definition name 'BADI_LE_SHIPMENT':
    AT_SAVE: BADI is called up at the time of the save. Checks and return to dialog are possible.
    BEFORE:_UPDATE: BADI is called up right before the data is saved to the database, that is, when all the data is available (for example, internal ly assigned shipment number).
    IN_UPDATE: BADI is called up after the database update.
    Standard Settings
    Creating a BADI method:
    Call up transaction SE19. Enter a name of your choice. Choose "create" and in the dialog box enter the definition name 'BADI_LE_SHIPMENT'. Afterwards, enter a short text for implementation. Save the BADI.
    On the tab page 'Interface', choose the method for implementation by double-clicking on it. Now you can enter your customer-specific program code. Save and activate the code. You can acess the transmission parameters entered in the BADI definition. With the method ***_AT_SAVE you can initiate the exception ERROR_WITH_MESSAGE (description 'An error message has occurred' ) if you wish to return to the dialog.
    Afterwards, go to the heading and activate the interface.
