User-exit/BADI during outbound ABAP proxy call
Hello,
I want to introduce certain check during outbound ABAP proxy calls to PI. This is a generic check, failure of which would stop the proxy call to proceed and raise an exception.
I would like to place this at the generic place which is called for all the outbound ABAP proxy calls, rather than coding this in each and every outbound proxy class as the check is generic.
Is there some user-exit/BADI where i can introduce this? Maybe within class CL_PROXY_OUTBOUND or somewhere else where i can introduce this check.
Any help in this regard would be appreciated.
Best Regards,
Gajendra.
Dear Gajendra ,
i agree with sabrish, you must be having a z report on the application system that must be calling that outbound proxy...may be if the check is generic it may not be related to a proxy so you can code a FM and then call it before you call that proxy in the z report
Giving points is another way to say thanks

CX_BGRFC_INVALID_DESTINATION during outbound abap proxy call on 7.1
Hi guys,
I'm trying to set up a scenario with outbound abap proxy call using the new WS adapter and when I execute the report with the proxy call I'm getting the CX_BGRFC_INVALID_DESTINATION exception.
I've generated proxy w/o problems, I've set up everything in SOAMANAGER.
Have you experienced this issue?
Thanks for your help,
OlianHi guys,
so my connection to SLD works fine now and I'm still getting the error. Any other ideas?
Just in case: this is my proxy code. Is this correct for using with 7.1 and WS adapter?

User Exit/ BADI during creation of vendor master
Dear Friends,
During creation of vendormaster if the with holding tax is maintained then PAN no. field should be made mandatory.
So far I know this can't done through standard field selection of vendor master. So this is to be done through BADI/User exit. Please provide me the same where in run time I can get PAN no field. It comes from the excise table.
RegardsFirst try for any Customization is available.
If not we can achieve with enhancement point.
Try to find out an implicit enhancement point on PAI event of the screen there validate for the "PAN No"
if the "PAN No" is blank raise an error message & EXIT from the PAI.
It would serve your purpose.
Regards.

Use EOIO on Sender RFC and outbound ABAP proxy calls
In the comm channel of SOAP and FILE there is a simple flag to set for QOS = EOIO
In Plain HTTP adapter a QOS parameter can be supplied.
IDOC uses control record tricks or a Receiver adapter option.
But what about the RFC and XI adapters.
The docu states QOS of EOIO for RFC and XI adapters is possible.
How is set for sender RFC and Sender XI adapters?
regards
PhilPhil,
I was discussing with Michal about this.
I suppose it is not fully EOIO, because you don't send directly from the outbound queue to the inbound queue. The AE service may not have a specific queue for that message, until the queue is associated in adapter module. Maybe (just maybe), if you get unexpected extra processing in the initial AE reception of the message (and hence, before the queue is set, in adapter module), you may have some inconsistencies with the processing order in sender system.
But again, that is just a speculation.
I'm not sure what is the behavior it'll have.
And even if what I speculated is right, it is a really short amount of time.
But again, EOIO would not be 100% guaranteed (maybe 99% hehe).
But sometimes (most of the times) that is not enough.

User-exit /BADI to change mseg during migo
HI
Can someone tell me which user-exit/BADI to be used which lets one change mseg during MIGO. There are some user-exit/BADI during migo but everywhere mseg is an import param. Actually for certain cases I want
to change the amount in local currency field (dmbtr). I can always forcibly do it from an update-module called from MB_DOCUMENT_BADI but this would lead to inconsistency as the same won't be passed to
accounting document.
Regards
SauravHi,
i've also tried using the BAdI mentioned to change for some changes required for price during goods movement.
after discussion with developer, we found out that the when the program reach the BAdI mentioned, it is already too late as the standard program has already populated the accounting document structure to be posted.
to change the amounts to be posted to the accounting document can be managed with enhancement spots in inlcude program of LRWCLF01.
but requires heavy logic to restrict to specific scenarios and intensive testing, not recommended as it is not within the boundaries of standard SAP allowed changes.
Cheers,

User Exit/ Badi for Changing Quant parameters during TO Creation
Hi Gurus,
Could you please guide me to advice the User Exit/Badi which can be used for changing Quant Data during TO Creation.
User Requirement: Using "Recepient Field" in MIGO as a Key Value for FIFO in WM during goods issue. Receipient is copied into TR and TO (Standard SAP Functionality). For the purpose of Stock Removal based on Receipient Value, we need to copy this value into Quant Data field named Certificate Number ("LQUA-ZEUGN").
I will highly appreciate reply from Gurus.
Regards,
Gupta MHi manish,
Use the Exit MWMTO001 for this purpose and modify the table accordingly. This will solve your problem.

To find out user exit/ badi for the VT01n transaction triggered in Save
Hi Friends,
I have the following requirement and for this appropriate user exit/ badi should be needed which will trigger during saving of the shipment.
Cass shipment type (VTTK-ADD03) field needs to be required and should be automatically populated upon creation of the shipment document. The rules for populating the value (SO, ST, PO and RA) are as follows:
If any of the orders on the shipment are customer order types, then the CASS shipment type should be a SO,
If all of the orders are STO orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "ST",
If all of the orders are PO orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "PO" , and
If all of the orders are customer return orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "RA".
I have tried with the 3 badi available and 7 to 8 user exit, but it won't work.
Thanking a lot in advance for giving the solution.
With Regards,
Ajit.Hi,
This code will give you all the user-exits.

Hi,
Can anyone throw light on the following.
1) When & where user exits & BADI's can be suggested?
2) What are steps involved in doing so?
3) In a standard transparent table can we make a field (other than defined - eg: in LFA1 table LIFNR is the primary key) a primary key. I guess being a standard table it isnt allowed. If we need what to do & how to do?
Thanks in advance.
ChanHi,
User exit - A user exit is a three character code that instructs the system to access a program during system processing.
SXX: S is for standard exits that are delivered by SAP. XX represents the 2-digit exit number.
UXX: U is for user exits that are defined by the user. XX represents the 2-digit exit number
The R/3 enhancement concept allows you to add your own functionality to SAPs standard business applications without having to modify the original applications.
SAP creates user exits for specific programs, screens, and menus within standard R/3 applications. These exits do not contain any functionality.
An example of a user exits :-
MODULE user_exit_0001 INPUT
CASE okcode.
WHEN 'BACK OR EXIT'.
CASE sy-dynnr.
WHEN '100'.
SET SCREEN 0.
LEAVE SCREEN.
WHEN '200'.
BADI: can be used for multiple implementations
that is the difference between user exit and Badi.
which-ever thing you execute that related code will be executed.
see the Badi's doc
Business Add-Ins
Business Add-Ins are a new SAP enhancement technique based on ABAP Objects. They can be inserted into the SAP System to accommodate user requirements too specific to be included in the standard delivery. Since specific industries often require special functions, SAP allows you to predefine these points in your software.
In the definition view, an application programmer predefines exit points in a source that allow specific industry sectors, partners, and customers to attach additional software to standard SAP source code without having to modify the original object.
In the implementation view, the users of Business Add-Ins can customize the logic they need or use a standard logic if one is available.
the sample program to find the user exit for any transaction is given below....
copy this program and execute give the tcode in the selection screen u will get the number of user exits available for that particular transaction.

User Exit/BADI after database commit in VA01/VA02
Hi All,
Can you tell me an user exit/BADI in VA01/VA02 which I can utilize AFTER the database commit but still utilize the tables/structures like xvbap, xvbkd etc? Thanks.
Best Regards,
AvimanyuHi Sengupta,
Usually there are no user-exits after COMMIT.
What you need to do is register a call which will be executed after COMMIT, from one of the available user-exits.
To do this, SAP provides 2 methods:
1. PERFORM xxx ON COMMIT
2. Function Module with attribute "Update Module"
Check ABAP keyword help for more information for PERFORM xxx ON COMMIT.
<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/34/8e72cc6df74873e10000009b38f9b8/frameset.htm">http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/34/8e72cc6df74873e10000009b38f9b8/frameset.htm</a>

Hi all,
Anybody knows an User-Exit / BADI to use when you click over SAVE icon on me21n transaction?
I have a 4.6 version...
Thanks!Dear Julian,
First you would need to find all the available enhancements. The ABAPer would check what are all the enhancements getting triggered when save button is pressed in ME21N by putting break-points.
Please check this sample program from other thread to find BADI and enhancement for a given transaction code. You just need to create a custom program in your system by cut and paste below codes.

Alternatively, you can do the following:
1. For what ever transaction u want the enhancement .. just check for the System-->status (menu) and find out the PROGRAM name....
2. Double click on to the program name and go inside the program (Abap editor)
3. Search for "Call Customer-function " ... and u'll get some search results .. If u get results then u have enhancement in that tcode .....
4. Then it actually calls a Function module .... copy the Function module name .... go to SE80 (object navigator) click on "Repository Information system" then Customer Enhancements .... Give the Function module name in the "Components" field and click Execute ....
ull get a list of Enhancements related to that Componene....
5. Choose which ever enhancement will suit ur business need ..
6. Go to CMOD... create a project .... assign ur enhancement ... and then code ur logic.... activate ur enhancement in CMOD ....... Ur Buisness need will be solved...
For a user exit......
Finding whether there is any User Exit or not for tcode VA42
1. For what ever transaction u want the user exit .. just check for the System-->status (menu) and find out the PROGRAM name.... ( The program name would be for our scenario "SAPMV45A" )
2. Double click on to the program name and go inside the program (Abap editor)
3. Search for the word "USEREXIT" .... u ll find all the user exits in the search result .. and find ur's then ...

How to find User Exit / Badi
Hi All
My requirement is to search the User Exit / Badi / any other enhancement, which is used in a standard transaction. For example:- I know that there is some Exit / badi used in transaction VA01, now how can I search for these exit / BADI which is applied in the transaction VA01.
Pl. do not suggest me to take the help of ABAP, since I want to search it myself. Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks and regards
AAHi,
I hope this will help you.
for sales order creation VA01 program SAPMV45A, u can find out by starting the transaction VA01 and put /h (debugging mode on) then
from the various buttons on top of the screen like Fields, table, breakpoints, watchpoints, calls, overview and settings.
from above click on overview button, then it will show you all the userexits under this programs used.

Hi Experts,
Our requirement is to trigger an email notification to the Employee after his time sheet is approved using the CATS approval WF.
We are using the portal to raise the time sheet and approve the same. We want to determine a User Exit/ Badi when the approver clicks on the approved button in the UWL.
We tried looking into the user exits/badi's etc. given but they are defined only for the R/3 system using the CATS transaction and not via the portals.
Could you kindly guide us with any Badi/User Exit that could be used when it is approved via the portal (i.e) when the approver clicks on the approve button in the UWL.
Cheers,
Belinda ClarkeHi,
Are you sure that those possible badis or user exit that you found are not also for Portal? Many times there is no difference whether something is done from backend transaction or a portal application - finally the same code/function is used and thus the same badis & user exits are executed. Of course not always, but plenty of times.
If if you cannot find anything, please check also the possibility to use enhancement. Check which RFC function is called during the approval (put RFC trace on) and put a break point there, and see what the code does and if you could put your stuff into some place.
Pay attention also the CATSDB table. That includes the cats entries and if remember correctly, you can find the work item ID there for each CATS entry. Maybe you can build some kind of report based on this table to send the emails instead of using some user exit or whatever.

Karri
