User exit for iw21 to get Equipment 'position'

Hi,
can any one give the user exit for IW21, to get 'Position' of equipment.
i.e. when i enter equipment in IW21 i am to save it's 'position ' automatically.

Where do you want to to save the position in the notification?

User-Exit for Serial Number Profile / Equipment creation

Hi ,
In the Material Master Data , we have a serial number profile and at the time of
Post Good Issue , the system do generate an equipment record in the Service Module .
That is standard SAP and working very well .
For some customers (Inter-Company) customers we do not want any Equipment record in the Service Module to be created .
What standard SAP functionality or user-exit can we use in order to not create the Equipment record in the Service Module ?

In the Serial number profile, go to Serializing procedures. The EqReq field determines whether an equipment is to be created or not. For e.g. 01 in MMSL implies that equipment will not be created during GR,
Not sure whether this will satisfy your requirement. Will need more information for that...

User Exit for VA41 Validity Date

Hi,
I am giving order type in VA41 Tcode and then Clicking on 'Create with Reference' .Then a Pop Up is getting generated. In this i am giving Contract created with validity date lessthan today's date(in Contract Tab).For Example i created a Contract xxxxxx with 'valid to' 9.12.2008. When I am giving this contract and clicking on 'Copy' button a Warning message is getting generated 'The sales document is only valid until 09.12.2008'. Now i have to change this into Error message instead of Warning Message.
i used User Exits mv45afzz,MV45AFZA,MV45AFZB. But the debugger is getting started only after Warning message got generated.Is there any User Exit for which debugger gets started when i give the Contract and then Click on 'Copy' button. Please Suggest.

Create a file say breakpoint.txt file as follows:-
[FUNCTION]
Command=/H
Title=Debugger
Type=SystemCommand
Once you come to the screen of 'Create with reference' where you are giving the contract, from second session drag the above mentiuoned file to the session where you are running VA41, & drop it here. Now debugger has been activated. Proceed with debugging. This method you can use for any of the 'POP UPs'.

Hi,
One idea. Go to VTAA (copy between sales docs) and create a new VOFM where you manage the copy control. Set a warning/error message in the new VOFM (in your range number), and try it.

User exit for Dismantle equipment

Hi,
I am using Structure tab of tcode IE02 for a superior equipment which has 3 equipments below it.
I Click on the icon next to it and it takes me to the 3 sub equipments. Now whn i select a subequipment and click on dismantle...it will remove tha equipment...now i click on back...
i come to the main screen..
I am using exit EXIT_SAPMIEQ0_001...
and here i want to check if user has deleted any sub-equipment.
I am able to retrive all the subequipments which were previously there...but not able to find what equipments the user has dismanteled..
Is there any other exit?

User Exit for getting Purchase Requisition Release Strategy

Hi Experts,
When a user creates a PR I need to know the user exit I need to implement so that the First Approver (Processor) text in the Release Strategy is populated from a custom table. I have seen that the field is MEREL_S_GRID1-STEXT. I also need to know if I can implement a user exit so that it pulls the release strategy for a PR for assets (Acct Category A) since it is pulling for Acct Category K (Cost Centre) and the Release Strategy tab is appearing in this case.

Thanks for the very useful answer. It has given clues on how to resolve this issue. I have resolved this issue for the Asset item category using the following thread: user exit for requisition release strategy, and also SAP Note 365604.
However, I have another issue, the release strategy for Stock Items, (item category blank) is not pulling through. I need to use the same method above but would like to know how it determines the funds centre for a specific stock item. I couldn't find where that is implemented in the material master and I need info on how to determine the account assignment for stock items based on the funds centre.

Please follow this steps to get the list of Userexits for the TCODE MIRO read there short description to get the appropriate EXIT.
Steps.
1. Goto the Tcode
2. System-> Status.
3. Copy the program name, find the package for the program.
4. Go to SMOD (tccode) press F4 -> Click on "Information System" Push Button->
Enter the Package name-> and press the enter button.
5. Now you get the list of Userexits. Need to select one by looking into its short description.

User exit for IW28

Hi experts,
I have question regarding user exit for IW28 tcode:-
1) When you goto IW28 and double click on any "Notification" which does not have "Functional location".
2) Then on "Notification" TAB if you put "Functional location" in "Functional loc." field then it automatically changes Cost Center, WBS Element and SettlementOrder fields in "Location" TAB, and these fields will be changed correspondence to the "Functional Location" entered in "Notification" TAB.
But we don't want that. In "Location" TAB we don't want these three fields Cost Center, WBS Element and SettlementOrder to get updated whenever we enter "Functional Location" in "Notification" TAB.
We want "Location" TAB fields should have what ever it had initially and not changed whenever we enter Functional Location in "Notification" TAB.
I am looking for some user-exit to stop this. Please help me for 1) which user exit i should use and 2) how to proceed.

hi mala,
in iw21/iw22 or iw28 when ever you you change the tech object f.loc or eqpt that data in the location tab and some more data like catalogue profile are taken from the f.loc /eqpt master records and when ever you change the tech object this data again pulled fom the respective master record but if you dont want thse fields to be updated then do not maintain in ie02/il02 ... but i suggest you to maintain this data as it would be easy in processing ..

Badi and User Exit for AS01

Hi Gurus,
I need your assistance for the below requirement.
In AS01 ( Create Asset ), while creating ASSET the Equipment should be created. This syncronization is already done in the customization.
1.The requirement is the Equipment Field in the ALLOCATION Tab should automatically get the Asset Number Value once we click the ALLOCATION Tab.
2.And also the Equipment should be created only if the Evaluation Group 2 is 'Y'.
i checked all the Exits and BADI's available. But my requirement is not met. please help me in this.

User Exit for Travel

Hi All,
 I am using the user exit EXIT_SAPMP56T_002 for travel management, to raise a message. The issue i am facing is, the message has to be displayed only if the user saves the transaction, if he clicks the approve button it should not raise this message.
 Inside the user exit sy-ucomm is getting cleared, because of this i couldnot able to differentiate, is there is any way to differentiate the user command, your inputs pls.

My req, is I have to check billing date with order date/ delivery date while creating the invoice in VF01.
For that I have done codig in user exit RV60AFZZ, so it gives error ,but the billing date field get disable.
& this invoice no. alsp get created.

There is more than one method in which you can check for user-exits.The following method is used very often.
How to find the exact user-exit for your requirement.
1. You can check the user exists using transaction SE85.
2. Repository Information System -> Enhancements -> Customer exits
3. You can search the user-exits by package name.
4. Double click on each exit name to check the function module exits.
The procedure to find the package name.
Execute transaction SE93
Enter the tcode of the transaction for which you want to check the user exit.
Example: if you want to find the user-exit for purchase orders while changing, enter ME22n and press display.
You will get to see the package name
But you need to confirm that the user exit will get triggered at the appropriate event.
( example: you might want some validations to be done ON SAVE of a purchase order)
Checking if the user-exit is getting triggered or not.
1. Open the user exit function module (that you have got in step 4) in Tcode SE37.
2. Click on where used button. In the pop up that immediately appears choose only programs .
3. You will get a list of programs. Double click on the program name.
4. You will get the list of location where this function module user exit is used.
5. Place session break points at each of these location ( at each CALL FUNCTION statement)
6. Now go to your transaction ( say change purchase order tcode:Me22n) and check if the user exit is getting triggered on appropriate event.
