User exit macros in APO DP macrobuilder

I am using APO DP V5.
Can anyone give me an example of how 'user exit' macros are built - I cannot find any good documentation on this point.
Thanks,
Bob Austin, Atos Origin

Mark,
Thanks for your reply.
In the APO DP macrobuilder, I specifically want to have a macro which runs some bespoke code.
I'm not clear how to do this.
Am I missing something in Note 380352?
Regards,
Bob.

  • Use of BAPIs in user exit macros

Is it ppssible to use BAPIs in user exit macros in the APO MacroBuilder?
Thanks for any advice on this...

    Hi,
Not sure what function you want to acheive, but basicly you can use any code in the user-exit macro's customizing code, but at last you must fill in the spcified return value to make the user-exit macro work.

  • Identify Orders created manually in the planning book (user exit macro?)

    Hello All,
I am trying to capture the orders created manually in planning book using a user exit macro!!.
Does anyone have any Idea of how to acheive this. Main aim is to identinfy orders created manually.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    -Srini

    Hi,
There are no change pointers like R/3 in APO due to the live cache technology. You can how ever findout if an order is created by system or manually created. Check this [thread|Re: How to identify an order generated by heuristics run or entered manuall]
Check if you can use the BAPIs to read orders and see if they have "output-firmed".

    Thanks

    Hi Pooja,
The ABAP code can be written inside the functional module assigned to user exit macro.
Start Transaction SMOD.Enter APODM005 in the 'Enhancement' field. Select 'Display'.
Then choose 'Components' or Shift+F11 and double-click the name of the function module.
Double-click the include contained in the function module to enter the source code.
For step by step details you can refer to SAP note 418801.
Let me know if it helps.

  • DP User Exit Macro

    Hi,
We are using User Exit Macro to carry out complex calculation in DP planning book. My observation is that, the Macro do not store the calculated values in Planning book. Based on events, User exit macro gets executed and the Value are displayed in the planning book.
Is there a way where in I can execute the User Exit Macro once (background job) and store the value in Planning Book. This will save the execution of Macro each time when book is loaded, and loading will be much faster. Also, being a complex calculation I need to use User Exit calculation.
Any ideas........on how to store the calculated values in Planning books.
    Thanks & Regards,
    SP

    Hi,
    Thanks for reply.
Basically I am looking for "Saving the Calculated Values in planning book through User Exit Macro".
I am using a User Exit Macro to carry out complex calculation. Each time it calculate "on fly" i.e. based on event (Start event). To avoid calculation and time taken for loading book, I want to save the result of an User Exit Macro in Planning Book Key Figure.
    Thanks & Regards,
    SP

I would like to fill in a specific key figure in my plannig book (so that users see a specific, calculated value).

  • BADI/User Exit for Order processing

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement that whenever someone modifies the order belonging to a specific order category then some error/ warning is issued. Can you please suggest some User Exit/BADI in APO for the same.

    Hi Tiago,
My requirement is to block the processing of Released process order from both Product view and Detailed Scheduling Board.
If I am getting you correctly then in the mentioned BAdI and Method --I should call FM --/SAPAPO/OM_PEG_CAT_GET_ORDERS (to fetch orders by order category) to see whether the order category is for released process order or not.
If its Released process Order --then I should block the change. Is that correct for both Product View and Planning Board?

  • Change MOT in purchase order using CIF Inbound user exit

    Hello APO Experts,
Objective is to change start date of purchase order ( date at source location) in APO based on some date in R3.
Planning to bring R3 date using CIF Outboud user exit( CIFPUR01)  in R3 and then further requirement is to a) calculate lead time in inbound user exit ( APOCF006) of purchase order in APO   b) compare it with lead time of all available Means of Transport in that particular TLane  and select  one MOT say XX which matches that lead time c) Next part is to change existing MOT in the Purchase order and replace it with the new XX MOT.
For part c....I am wondering how can we change existing MOT in purchase order and replace it with a new one.Can it be achieved by the user exit APOCF006 in APO or something else is required.
Will appreciate your quick reply on this issue.
    Thanks
    Best Regards

    Hi Nilesh

    Hello Andy
    Thank you for the reply.
I am trying to create a "Collective MAcro" which would run 4 macros.  In hte COllective macro there is a drop down option to select the macro that we want to run.. We can select upto 6 macros..
In this drop down list, I am unabel to see the 4 user exit macros. The macro that I want to run in a sequence are "user exit macros". They are active and can be executed one at a time in Interactive Planning.
I am creating a "Collective Macro" as this would ensure that the 4 user exit macros are run in the correct sequence.
OSS note 907177 refers to availabilty  of "badi macros" in Collective macro. This is only for SCM50..
We are in SCM 4.1. ANy pointers can be of great help

    Hi,
Macros offer a powerful and flexible way to extend the features of MS Excel. You can either create a macro using VB code or Record a macro. Use Alt+F11 for creating macro using VB code.
You can refer to Microsoft help site or this link for more details:
    http://www.taltech.com/support/sw_tricks/exmacros.htm
User-exits are empty subroutines that SAP Developers have provided for you.You can fill them with your own source code.Technically this is a modification.Customer exits are nothing but a include in customer name space will be provided in the function module which starts with CALL CUSTOMER.You can fill them with your own source code.Technically this is an enhancement.
look into following links for procedure to find and use user-exits transaction for finding user-exits is 'SMOD'

  • User Exit or BADI for Blocking process orders from R/3 to APO?

    Dear Experts,
I am looking for a user exit or badi to block the process orders from R/3 to APO. As per standard it is not transferring orders which are clsd(closed status). Means that it is not updating live cache but its reading from R3.
We are facing some problems in cif queues which are not correctly maintained in R3 side. We dont want to touch those orders bcoz its very old data which is not required for planning.
There will be huge data which needs to be deleted while transferring through cif.
Please give any user exit (outbound intial transfer) from R/3.
Or any sugg. I apprecite your inputs...
    Thanks
    Cris

    Hi Cris,
You can use user exit APOCF004 - Inbound Processing: Production Order/Planned Order in APO to prevent orders coming to APO by deleting orders which are not intended to goto APO from internal tables IT_ORD and IT_OUT.
    Hope this helps.

  • BADI / User Exit for APO Order transaction /SAPAPO/SNPTLB

    Hi Experts,
We have a proxy interface and currently we are using FUNCTION EXIT_SAPMSNPUSER_006 for the APO Order transaction: /SAPAPO/SNPTLB.
This exist is triggering before the Order is being saved in APO and at times it is throwing an error 'Order key already exists in live cache' in the APO system.
Is there any other BADI or User exit available to Save the order in APO before the interface gets processed?, if so, plese guide me.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hello Lakshmi,
I am having the same issue with the message "Order key already exists in live cache" in our system.
We are using the user-exit EXIT_SAPMSNPUSER_005 for UoM conversion.  But we are not making any explicit proxy calls
to /SAPAPO/SNPTLB.  Does the system automatically call this transaction with this user-exit?
Did you get a resolution for the issue.  I would really appreciate if you can let me know how you have addressed this.
    Thanks,
