User Exits tied to Authorization Objects

Hello all,
Are there any User Exits available that are tied to authorization objects?  We are talking about creating a custom authorization object for use in MM01 & MM02, and we are looking for somewhere to call the custom authorization object.
Thanks,
Chuck

We were not able to find a User Exit that met our requirements.  We needed to Block the Basic Data view for certain Material Types from MM01 and MM02 for certain users.
We ended up doing it by modifying the screen sequence for those screens and blocking it for users who who had been given a certain role in SAP.

  • Is User Exit's support ABAP Objects?

    Hi Experts,
Is User Exits supports ABAP Objects.  I am planning to  implement  the ABAP classes in User exits to fill Query Variables.
    Is it possible?
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
Yes user Exit's support ABAP Object.
But according to me if you want to use class then use the class into some generic function module, then that function module use in Exit. Its just for Cleanness and Simplicity of user Exit.

  • Creation of a user with a particular authorization object (Very Urgent)

    Hi,
There is a requirement in my project to create a user who can only reset his password. So for this I think a authorization object should be created and assign it to a profile which displays only the tab for reseting the password which is( Logon in SU01). I want to know two things in this regard.
    1. The whole process of creating customised authorization object and assigning it to a profile and
    2. Any other way to achieve the needed scenario.
    Thanks & Regards,

    In transaction pfcg ,
    give single/composite role name
give profile name and description in authorization tab, save it
    enter into change authorization data
    select manually tab
give authorization objects name (creating auth. objects)
fields will automatically come inside it
    enter the field values
save and generate profiles (Profiles created)
    go to su01,
create users (fill address, logon data, roles )
    In pfcg,
select the role you created and click on the user comparison for giving the authorization to access.

  • User exit/BAdI whenever an object is saved to a transport request

    Hi all,
We have a requirement to compare the object's version every time an object is attached to a TR. I found the BADI CTS_REQUEST_CHECK~CHECK_BEFORE_CREATION. But, this has the TR attributes only. Also, this is triggered only when the transport is created, not when the repository objects are attached to an existing TR.
Can you please help us with a BADI/user exit to gain control before an object is attached to new/existing TR?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Hema,
Have you checked the BADI given in below thread

  • Error for customer specific Authorization check (User Exit)

    Dear Experts,
I am facing a problem in PM.
I have created a maintenace plan for calibration via t code IP42 and mentioned the order type PM05. Scheduling is done for the order. I got the order number.
I have released the order and got the inspection lot number.
While entering the results recording through t code QE17, the reluts are out of the specified range, i have given the valuation Rejected, immediately system is giving an error message as below:
"Error for customer specific Authorization check (User Exit)"
Though there is no user exit activated in the system, this message is coming and not allowing the result recoring for rejection.
If I'm entering the result recording within the specified range, then valuation is Accepted and its allowing to save.
I have checked the following user exits:
QQMA0002: QM: Authorization Check for Entry into Notif. Transaction
QQMA0026: PM/SM: Auth. check when accessing notification transaction.
The above 2 User Exits are not active.
I have also checked a note 429066. But it says incase of any dump for that user exit only its applicable and more over the current version of the system is ECC 6.0 packae 15, where as that note is applicable upto 4.6C.
Please some one help me on this issue.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Questions about authorization variable customer user exit

    Dear all,
To reduce the authorization maintenance effort, I found from the web that we can use authorization variable with customer user exit RSR00001.
When I use the transaction CMOD to display the maintain the user exit RSR00001, the user exit does not found. I would like to know how can I use thie user-exit?
My SAP version is R/3 4.7
The information of authorization variable  from web is as follow:

    Dear Bala Duvvuri,
Firstly, many thanks of your reply.
Actually, what I want to do is to call some user-exit when performing authorization checking. I want to add some logic to the authorization checking and the user exit can be called automatically when performing authorization checking.
I mainly use this checking in the FI module.
Are there any ways I can perform this checking?
One more findings, I have another machine containing SAP XI, I can search the user exit RSR00001. but it doesn't exit in SAP R/3 4.7. Is it version issue or my SAP R/3 4.7 doesn't contain the BI module?
    Many Thanks again.

  • Authorization Object - Availability Check in Sales Order

    Hi,
Restriction is required for availability check  (i.e. button 'check item availability') in sales order for a given user.
Is there authorization object to control the same ?
    Regards,
    RS

    Hello RS,
Availability check is controller by FM AVAILABILITY_CHECK_CONTROLLER and there is no authority check in it. As per previous reply you can add additional checks in user exit EXIT_SAPLATPC_001 which is called before an atp is run.
    Thanks

  • Authorization objects for  transaction, one to view, and one to maintain

    Hi all,
My requrement is to create two authorization objects for  transaction, one to view, and one to maintain.
I know how to create objetcs vai sm21, but i donot know how to crate objects with activity codes.
Please suggest how to create object where i can asign activity codes.
    regards
    manish

    The Authorization Concept
R/3 uses authorization objects to assign authorizations to users. An authorization object is a template for an authorization. For example, authorization object F_SKA1_BUK - G/L Account: Authorization for company codes requires the specification of two field values: Company Code and Activity. To allow a General Ledger supervisor to create a general ledger master record, he/she must be assigned an authorization to create (Activity 1) accounts for a specific company code (eg. Company Code 2000). Such an authorization is created using the object F_SKA1_BUK by assigning these field values and naming the authorization following an appropriate convention (eg. Z_SCC20001).
Authorizations may be classified as general authorizations, organizational authorizations or functional authorizations. General authorizations specify the functions a user may perform. Authorization object F_SKA1_BUK has been assigned to the function for creating general ledger master records. The system checks for the useru2019s authorization to create general ledger accounts (Activity 1) in at least one company code. The system then checks whether the user is permitted to create accounts for the specified organizational unit (company code) and has the required functional authorizations. Authorizations in this case may restrict the user to certain Charts of Accounts. In addition, an authorization group may be defined in certain authorization objects to protect individual master records.
Profiles relating to an organizational role (eg. General Ledger Supervisor) are defined consisting of a list of authorizations and other profiles. Such profiles are then assigned to users with that role and stored in their user master record along with other data (eg. password).

  • Authorization object F_CN_BAPI

    Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding the authorization object F_CN_BAPI (FS-AM Simplified Authorization Check in BAPIs) the values permitted is ' ' (not selected) and X (selected) and is connected with the F_CN_ACT.
I need to configure the roles so that it will go through all the authorization check so that when BAPI's are called it will still check if the user has the correct authorization object.
What should be the correct combination for this two authorization object if I want it to go through to the authorization object check. Should it be selected or not selected?
    Thanks.

You must ensure that the value is always ' ' and the best way of doing this is to maintain SU24 for all proposals with this value so that it is always standard (which is almost completely "idiot-proof"
    Good luck,

  • How to find user ids based on authori object & values.

    Hi all,
I am trying to find User master records based on
    Authorization object - M_EINK_FRG ( realease strategy for tocde ME28 - MM)
    values -
    code --VP
    GRP - 01
I found some time before with Tcode SUIM using trail and error method.
I am trying it again but not possible. is there any easy method or report to pull out this info.
    Thanks
    Satheesh

    Hi Satheesh,
SUIM gets the data from many tables and is the best solution for searching an user based on the authorization object.
You will find the auth object in SUIM.
SUIM->User->Users by complex selection criteria>by authorizations>Auth Object->execute->select a user>click on selectively expand the tree--->execute based on auth obj.

  • What are User exits?

Hi SAP gurus can u explain me on user exits?

    Hi Chandrakanth,
Userexits are system modifications. The requirements of the client which can be met with Standard SAP are done with help of routines or userexits.
Userexits are nothing but a provision given by sap to write your own code/logic in the standard program.
Say for example while processing a sales order you want to check certain criteria weather they are met or not then you can use userxit_save_document_prepare.Here depending on the code you write system checks the if the criteria is fulfilling if not you can set an error or warning message in the code. This userexit is being executed just before saving of document.
one more commonly used exit is adding field in field catalog
In spro check this path Sales and Distribution-System modifications-Userexits.
Read the document provided, you will find all the exits in different processing for SD with program name and their purpose.
User exits are the enhancements provided by SAP
you can use them in transactions. Each transaction will have user exits.
If you want to use your own requirements by making your coding while the transaction is run you can use user exits.
For example if you want to run the MRP in MD02 specific to MRP controller you can user exit.
Please also refer the document below.
    USEREXIT
Userxits allow us to add our own functionality to SAP standard program
without modifying it. These are implemented in the form of subroutines and hence are also known as FORM EXITs. The userexits are generally collected in includes and attached to the standard program by the SAP.
All Userexits start with the word USEREXIT_...
    FORM USEREXIT_..
    z..
    ENDFORM.
The problem lies in finding the correct userexit and how to find it if one exists for the purpose. Once the correct userexit is found the necessary customer code is inserted in the customer include starting with the z. in the form routine.
    e.g. USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
Certain application like SD still provide this form of enhancement using userexit but this practice is no longer being followed for newer extensions instead they are using EXITs which come bundled in enhancement packages . Nevertheless existing USEREXITS will be supported by SAP an all the newer versions of SAP.
    HOW TO FIND USEREXITS
Userexits can be found in number of ways:
    1) To find userexits in SD module , goto object navigator(SE80) and select
development class from the list and enter VMOD in it. All of the userexits in SD are contained in the development class VMOD. Press enter and you will find all the includes which contain userexits in SD for different functions like PRICING, ORDER PROCESSING etc. Select the userexit according to the requirement and read the comment inserted in it and start coding.
Some examples of userexits in SD (SALES & DISTRIBUTION) are:
1)ADDING OF NEW FIELDS IN PRICING
In Pricing in SD the fields on the basis of which pricing is done are derived from the FIELD CATALOG which is a structure KOMG .This structure is used to transfer transaction data to the pricing procedure in SD and is also known as communication structure. This structure KOMG consists of two tables KOMK for Header related fields and KOMP for item related fields. The fields which are not in either of the two tables KOMK and KOMP cannot be used in pricing .Sometimes a need arises when the pricing is to be based on some other criteria which is not present in the form of fields in either of the two tables. This problem can be solved by using USEREXITS which are provided for pricing in SD. Pricing takes place both when the SALES ORDER ( Transaction VA01) is created as well as when INVOICING ( Transaction VF01) is done. Hence SAP provides 2 userexits ,one for sales order processing which is
    USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP or
    USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMK
Depending upon which table (KOMK or KOMP) the new fields were inserted we use either of the above two userexits. These userexits are found in include MV45AFZZ of the standard SAP sales order creation program SAPMV45A.
In the case of userexit which will be called when invoicing is done ,these
are provided in the include RY60AFZZ which is in the standard SAP program SAPMV45A. The name of the userexits are same. i.e.
    USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP or
    USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMK
These userexits are used for passing the data from the communication structure to the pricing procedure, for this we have to fill the newly created field in the communication structure KOMG for this we fill the code in the above userexit using the MOVE statement after the data that has to be passed is taken from the database table by using the SELECT statement. The actual structure which is visible in these userexits and which is to be filled for that particular field is TKOMP or TKOMK.
Before the coding for these userexits is done ,it is necessary to create a new field in either of the two tables KOMK or KOMP .For this purpose includes are provided in each of them .
To create the field in header data (KOMK) the include provided is KOMKAZ
and to create the field in item data (KOMP) the include provided is KOMPAZ.
One possible example for the need of creating new fields can be e.g. Freight to be based upon transportation zone, for this no field is available in field catalog and hence it can be created in KOMK and then above userexits can be used to fill the transportation data to it.
    2) The other method of finding userexit is to find the word USEREXIT in the
associated program of the transaction for which we want to determine userexit using SE38.
    3) The other method of finding userexits is to find the include in case of SD/MM applications where the userexits are located, this can be found in the SAP reference IMG generally in the subfolder under SYSTEM MODIFICATION.
Some other examples of userexits in SD are:
    USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE
This userexit is used to assign a different internal document number to the
sales order(VA01) when it is created depending on some criteria like a different SALES ORGANIZAION(VKORG) .
    USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
This userexit is used to insert the ABAP code which will be called when
the document (sales order VA01) is just about to be saved. This userexit is used generally for custom checks on different fields , to display some information before the order will be saved or for making changes to certain fields before the sales order will be saved.
    Exits & Enhancements
There are mainly six types of EXITs in sap which have been collected in the form of enhancement packages and attached to standard code in SAP.
These are different from USEREXIT in the way that they are implemented
in the form of FUNCTIONs while in USEREXITS we use form routines for their implementation. These are also sometimes known as function exits.
These start from the word EXIT_ followed by the program name and then followed by a three digit number.
    e.g. EXIT_SAPMV45A_002
This exit is found in SD in enhancement V45A0002.
    TYPES OF EXITS
    1) MENU EXITS
    2) FUNCTION EXITS
    3) TABLE EXITS
    4) SCREEN EXITS
    5) KEYWORD EXITS
    6) FIELD EXITS
We use SAP transactions CMOD and SMOD to manage exits. Before implementing an exit, it is required to create the project by using CMOD
selecting the enhancement e.g. V45A0002 and selecting the component
(one which fulfills our need) i.e. the exit which will be implemented in SMOD and after coding has been done the project has to be activated.
An exit can be coded only once.
    FUNCTION EXITS
These are used to add functionality through ABAP code. These start from the word EXIT_programname_NNN ending in a 3 digit number. No access code is required to implement any type of exit including function exits.
The function exits are called from the standard SAP program in the form
    of ABAP statement
    CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION 'NNN'
This is in contrast to USEREXITs where PERFORM statement is used to call
    the required userexit.
To implement the FUNCTION EXITs first of all the project is created and a suitable enhancement package is selected and from its components the function exit to be implemented is selected and on double clicking it the exit code will appear in ABAP EDITOR(se38) where a Z include will be found and the customer code should be entered in this include.
    e.g.
ADDING A DEFAULT SOLD-TO-PARTY in Sales Order Creation
To show a default sold-to-party in this field when the user creates a sales order (VA01) we can use a function exit .This function exit is located in enhancement no V45A0002 . Before we can choose the exit we have to create a project in CMOD after that enter V45A0002 in the enhancement field and click on the components. In the components you will see the exit EXIT_SAPMV45A_002. This exit is used for our purpose.
Double clicking on this exit will takes us to function builder (SE37) . This
function exit has one exporting parameters and two importing parameters, we are interested in exporting parameter which is E_KUNNR of type KNA1-KUNNR i.e. if we move the desired customer name to this structure(E_KUNNR) it will be shown in the field as the default value when we create the sales order. This function also contains a customer include ZXVVA04. This include will be used to write our custom code.
Double clicking on this include and it will prompt us that this include does not exists do you want to create this object, select yes and the include will be created .In this include we can write our own code that will fill the field E_KUNNR.
    e.g. E_KUNNR = 301.
Activate the include and Activate the project. Now when ever the SALES ORDER will be created, sold-to-party field will come up with a predefined customer.
    FIELD EXITS
The field exits are managed, created, activated through program RSMODPRF. The field exit is associated with a data element existing in ABAP dictionary and hence to the screen field using that data element.
The format of field exit is:
    FIELD_EXIT_dataelement_A-Z or 0-9
If a particular screen and program name is not specified than the field exit will effect all the screens containing that data element.
The function module associated with field exit shows two parameters
INPUT and OUTPUT. Input parameter contains the data passed to the field exit when the field exit was invoked by the R/3, we can write our own code to change the output parameter depending upon our requirements.
Before the field exit can have any effect the system profile parameter
ABAP/FIELDEXIT in all the application servers should be set to YES
    ABAP/FIELDEXIT = YES.

  • Authorization object not to allow certain user to enter sloc PO

    Dear All,
i have manage to go su21 to create under mm purchasing authorization object called Y_BEST_LOC with Acty and LGORT field. other than that i have insert check item under program RM06ENHI. after that i go to su24 to assign the transaction code check for me21 and me22. under field value for me21, my new object i want to assign value (interval) = $LGORT, but don;t know how so i leave it blank.
Come to user profile i adding this object into the authorization to check, and put in only allow for 0001 and 0002 location. But the user still can save the PO when choose 0004 without error. I want to know missing step that should be done to prevent certain user to order under 0004 storage location.
Kindly suggest and guide me. thanks in advance
    Regards
    Aishah

ME21/ME21N doesn't even check if the material is extended to the storage location entered in the PO. I don't think what you did is enough to restrict users per storage location, you need to find a user exit or BAdi and do the authorization check in the your custom code
    AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'Y_BEST_LOC'
             ID 'ACTVT' FIELD '01'  "Create
ID 'LGORT' FIELD '0002'. "Storage Location 0002
    IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
    " User has authorization
    ELSE.
message 'Not authorized for storage location' type E
    ENDIF.
You may have to use the following Business Add-in (TCode SE18)
ME_CHECK_ALL_ITEMS                    :  Run Through Items Again in the Event of Changes in EKKO
