  • Can I embed C# Email code in .pdf file to send user and system information when it opens on system

I have a pdf on my system. When I opened it it should email the current  user account and system information( like IP, Windows login Id).  If the system does not have internet it should not show the error.
Is it possible? If so could you suggest a way or provide a link.
Due to security we want this feature.
    Your help is appreciated.
    Thanks

You could track the user's email login/IP address if you secure the file using DRM (LiveCycle, etc.), but a PDF which sends silent emails containing personal data about a user would be considered a trojan by the vast majority of people.

  • A user experience for CP5(with 6 issues)

    Hi respected Adobe team,
I am a CP5 user for 2months. After using CP5 for a part of time, I got some user experience to share with you.
    1. I published a CP project as a .swf with 1280*1024. When I watched this .swf as other dimension (except 1280*1024),some mess line will appear  in the video.
    The video with mess line:
    The correct video:
    2. I think CP5 can publish CP project as a .flv, but I don’t know how to? In this window I don’t know how to add a server to publish .flv file. .flv file is very useful for me, so could you help me?
    3. Why .f4v file’s dimension need less than 1024*768? If I had a 1280*1024 CP project and I wanted to publish it as a .f4v file, I have to compress this project. As the result of compress is mess lines appear in the video.
    4. When I published a CP project as a .swf, sometimes this sentence appear (your computer does not have sufficient memory resource to publish your file).
I had some information in this issue. This project was created in CP5. Whatever how long time I open this project, when I publish it this dialog will appear. In my opinion, if the CP project had a long time video (much video information), the chances of this dialog’s appear will grow up. But if I change some setting maybe this dialog will not appear.
In this setting the dialog appeared:
In this setting the dialog didn’t be appeared:
    5. When I import a .swf to Adobe Flash Catalyst CS5, the .swf can’t be displayed normally. And I tried to analyze a .swf(about 2 min long) by a tool, the result is the .swf just have 37 frames. The strangest point is more than 90% video content is in the 35th frame. Other 36 frames almost have nothing. I don’t know why.
    6. When I recording a long time video, CP cut the video as many slides automatically. Sometime it makes me a little uncomfortable.
In this CP project, I recorded this video at a heat. But CP cut it automatically (become 18 slides).
At last, I have an advice for CP. If we can modify the video part in every part, it will be great! Actually, I am a big fan for Adobe productions. So wish a better CP version (maybe CP 6?). Thank you!
    My msn:[email protected]
Glad to make friends with you!

    Hi Nick,
I'm sorry to note that you are facing these issues with Captivate 5. While many of the issues you've reported probably have a workaround (I've listed some follow-up actions below), one issue we've had difficulty reproducing is the 'out of memory' issue when you publish. Can we schedule a conference call with a Connect session to investigate this further. Please mail me at- shamer at adobe dot com with details on the geo you are located in and some convienet time slots for the call.
    Regards,
    Shameer

    The other issues:
    >>
    1. I published a CP project as a .swf with 1280*1024. When I watched this .swf as other dimension (except 1280*1024),some mess line will appear  in the video.
Can you check if this is an FMR swf (does the video camera icon appear on your Cp slides in the film strip/ thumnails? In that case there will be some lines observed with resizing.
    2. I think CP5 can publish CP project as a .flv, but I don’t know how to? In this window I don’t know how to add a server to publish .flv file. .flv file is very useful for me, so could you help me?
You cannot publish the Cp project as an FLV. You publish as an F4V file. You then have to manualy upload this on to a streaming server (if that is what you are attempting).
    3. Why .f4v file’s dimension need less than 1024*768? If I had a 1280*1024 CP project and I wanted to publish it as a .f4v file, I have to compress this project. As the result of compress is mess lines appear in the video.
This is a limitation from the way we use codecs for F4V. We are currently investigating this issue.
    6. When I recording a long time video, CP cut the video as many slides automatically. Sometime it makes me a little uncomfortable.
In this CP project, I recorded this video at a heat. But CP cut it automatically (become 18 slides).
We can look at this issue also in our connect session, but I believe your auto FMR might be getting triggered in some scenarios, hence the number of slides varies.

  • User experience improve for MS word/ppt file

    Hi,
When I open MS word or ppt file, the applet looks refresh the content page by page, the user experience is not so fluent, is there any method to change this mode?

    Hi James,
Unfortunately not currently. AutoVue loads the documents page by page. For example, when loading a PowerPoint document, the AutoVue server reads the first page and sends the graphical information to the client for rendering. Page 2 is only read when the user selects the next page.

  • Recording NWBC scripts for End User Experience

    Hi Experts,
I am recording NWBC scripts using the Netweaver Business Client GUI for loading and running it through Robots for End User Experience Monitoring. I don't see an option to "LogOff" in NWBC client while recording  the script. We only have option to "Close all session and LogOff" in NWBC client .
When I am using this option, it closes all the sessions including the EEM Recorder also without saving the recording .
I need to include "LogOff" as the last step so that it doesn't leave any active sessions for each run by different robots.
    I have a Solution Manager 7.1 SP10 and NWBC client 3.5 Patch 13.
    Please help me achieve this.
    Regards,
    Manish K

    Hi,
for a browser the recommendation is to open a new, empty tab to keep the browser alive while closing the tab with the  session. All that with the hope that the backend will use the triggered event of collapsing tab to close session.
Maybe a similar strategy works for NWBC.. but I don't know the UI in detail.

  • End-User Experience error running agent on windows server 2008 R2

    Hi,
I have installed implemented the end-Uer experience agent in a Windows 7 without issues but when we have installed the SDM 7.30 agent and the SAP GUI 730 in a Windows server 2008 R2 and we have configured the agent as End-User experience monitoring Robot in solution manager.
We have distributed one script without issues but the executios are failing with the message:
"SAPGUI Compontent" could not be instantiated (sapfewse):605
We have reviewed the bellow notes but wothout success:
1261706 - Kill bits set for SAP GUI Scripting
1092631 - Remote vulnerabilities in SAP GUI for Windows
We are able to run the scripts in the server directly in the SAPGUI and even with the EemEditor.
SAP message is open since last week, but my be you can provide a faster response.
    Could you please help me.
    Kind Regards

Have you followed installation procedure described in the following article: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ibf/setup_guide/ibf10_install.html ?
You can find troubleshooting hints in the following article: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ibf/setup_guide/ibf10_troubleshooting.html
I'd reccomend to install CDA instead of AD agent (nice GUI...) but you'll have to create new (virtual) server for that: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ibf/cda_10/Install_Config_guide/cda_install.html

  • Linux(RHEL or Oracle linux) User experiences ..

B'coz OVMServer manager could not be installed on a mac, I'm planning to format mac into wholly linux and give up mac (or win7).
I donot use by computer except for development work, like eclipse, MS Office, email, browse etc. .. basic things needed for development.
(nothing like video editing etc., no audio files etc,)
If I choose to use linux as my desktop environment will it have any impact. People I come across are mainly windows or mac.
Wondering if you can share your user experiences of Linux (desktop environment) .
    Please advice.

I think virtualization will give you many advantages and flexibility for the purpose of development and evaluation. For the primary OS I would choose what I think is the most complete, most comfortable and reliable. To my experience, no system does it better than MacOSX, and no other system will give you a better all-around mix of available commercial and open source software.
If you decide to go for Linux as your primary OS, take into consideration that enterprise Linux distributions like RHEL, OEL and CentOS have no or very limited support for laptop and mobility hardware, and certainly do not play well with the latest Apple hardware. The same goes for Windows 7. Ubuntu, for example, provides more out of the box support for Laptop and Desktop hardware, but also does not work well with the latest Apple stuff, including other brand name PC laptops.
I have a Macbook Pro 2009 and decided for triple boot using the rEFlt boot loader since VMware does not support Firewire. I'm certainly not a beginner with many years of professional IT experience on various platforms, but it was still quite a challenge. I got things worked out more or less after a lot of research, installing and compiling development drivers with the latest Ubuntu 10.04 to support my trackpad, insight camera, Wifi and other stuff. Power management does not work properly and the system constantly runs at the maximum specs and freqs, driving it very hot, unlike in MacOSX. Windows 7 on the latest Apple Macbooks is also pretty immature, incomplete and just makes me wonder. My only reason for running Linux is Oracle, I have no reason to run Windows 7, and I'm glad to be able use MacOSX.

  • Re-installing for a User whose Registration Information is Unknown

I've just sold my ibook G4 on ebay. I want to erase and install for the new user, whose personal information and desired "short name" is unknown to me.
How do I erase and install and bypass the set-up assistant (which includes a mandatory registration information) that appears before the installation process?
Thanks for any light shed on this question!

    Joelius:
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Here are a couple of procedures posted by Kappy that should accomplish what you want done:
This is the simple method and doesn't involve erasing the hard drive.
Boot from your OS X Installer. After the installer loads select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (or Utilities menu if using Tiger.) After DU loads select your OS X volume from the list on the left, click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now shutdown the computer for a couple of minutes and then restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (3.0.3 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.1.2 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Next, boot to single user mode. Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-S keys until the computer starts up to a black screen with white type.
    3. At the prompt, type the following commands, each command followed by the Return key:
    /sbin/fsck -yf
    mount -uw /
    rm /private/var/db/.AppleSetupDone
    shutdown -r now
The second-to-last command above will cause OS X to think that the operating system is newly installed, and when you reboot, it will send you through the Startup Wizard.
    This is the long method:
Follow these instructions step by step to prepare a Mac for sale:
    First, back up the data:
    1) Shut down all Virtual PCs. They cannot be in their "fast saved" state. They must be shut down from inside Windows.
    2) Clone to an external drive using Carbon Copy Cloner.
Next, prepare the machine for the new buyer:
    3) Deauthorize the computer in iTunes! Deauthorize both iTunes and Audible accounts.
    4) Remove Open Firmware passwords
    5) Turn the brightness full up and volume nearly so.
    Install a fresh OS:
    6) Insert the OS X install CD/DVD.
    7) Restart the computer while holding down the C key to boot from the CD/DVD.
    8) Run Disk Utility from the file menu and erase the internal hard drive (optionally zero all data).
    9) Install OS X.
    10) Reboot the computer.
    11) From the welcome screen, you can skip the registration step by typing command-Q.
    12) When prompted, create an account (it will be an admin account).
    13) From your new admin account, configure networking.
    14) Then use Software Update to bring your system and all of it's applications up to date.
    15) From Disk Utility, repair permissions on the new volume.
Now delete the account you just created:
    16) Boot from a different volume (e.g. a firewire drive, if available)
    17) Clean up the image using the following terminal commands:
    prompt> rm /Volumes/<imagevol>/var/db/BootCache.playlist
    prompt> rm /Volumes/<imagevol>/var/db/volinfo.database
    prompt> rm -r /Volumes/<imagevol>/var/vm/swap*
    18) Now you can get rid of the admin account you used to set up the machine Use the terminal:
    prompt> nicl -raw /Volumes/<imagevol>/var/db/netinfo/local.nidb -delete /users/<admin>
    prompt> rm -r /Volumes/<imagevol>/Users/<admin>
    prompt> rm /Volumes/<imagevol>/var/db/.AppleSetupDone
    19) Shut down and ship it to your buyer. When they get it, it will boot to the Welcome screen just like a factory Mac, except that it's better because it's completely up to date.
    With acknowledgements to Kappy
    Good luck.

  • Difference between Real User Experience Insight and Webalizer?

    Dear All,
Can u tell me that is there any difference between Real User Experience Insight and Webalizer?
If both are functioning almost same then why RUEI is expensive
    Please must reply

Webalizer uses Web Server logs however RUEI does not use web server logs it monitors Network Traffic without interfering in application which does not affect application performance...
For using Webalizer Application code is modified but not in the case of RUEI
The most important one is that Webalizer does not provide Sufficient and Efficient information as does the RUEI because it can replay the whole session called FULL SESSION REPLAY, Which helps finding errrors on specific pages. Also helps finding delays in transactions.
RUEI is deployed either by copy port or Tapping which create duplicate copy of each request to web server and pass it to RUEI for Analysis
