User Expired

User session has expired. I have to enable user without changing the password of the user.
Please help me regarding this.

not possible if you don't know user's current password or if you can not reach to sys.user$ table. also there is just opened a thread about it.

Im trying to build user expiration into my registration form, but I cant get the form to send back the date registering.
in my data base i have tried every thing from timestamp to datetime. I can get a timestamp but it is not functioning with the expiration?

just have a look at my tutorial Login tables: installation & configuration where the required column attributes are explained and where you can obtain a fully functional SQL dump for a typical ADDT "login" and (optionally) "login_stats" table.
BTW, "expiration" will have to be an "int" column.

Can I know the user expires days?

As we know, I can set the user expires days in the security manager. If the user password expired, he cannot login the dashboard.
However, now I want to notify user that his password will expire before the date. So now, I want to ask is there any system variable about the user expires days? Then I can show it on the dashboard when user login. Or are there any other ways to do that?

Sorry to bring this thread back.
In the Query Repository tool, I can search all users. But there are no information about the expires date/days. Now that biee can expired the user password, I think there must some where to save the pasword created date or days before password expired. Is it possible to get these information in rpd?

Anonymous user expire

Dear Gurus,
I have a concurrent program which use Anonymous user to run the sql, But after upgrade when I am trying to run that concurrent program it says that user Anonymous has expired. What could be the reason, how can I activate it.

I would not suggest setting END_DATE to NULL since it is recommended to disable this user. For more details, have a look at the following note:

Cisco WCS guest user expires after few days

1) Hardware we are using:
WCS version 6.0.196.
WLC version 6.0
2) Configuration steps we carried out:
We have created guest user using Lobby admin account having for accessing WLC which we are having in network. it works fine for some days but after that we have observed the particular guest user account status showing expired on WCS. Wanted to mention we have used Unlimited tab for life time while creating guest user account. The Account life time for guest user at the point of configuration was showing ( status -- Active, Account Lifetime -- Never Expire)

3) Problem we are facing.
After some days(we are not sure about how many days) the guest users account shows "Expired"

During the point of problem from WCS logs I observed the "Guestuser Service" is giving problem, below is the error. The detailed log is attached herewith.
14:11:39.488 ERROR[general] [24] [GuestUserService] User does not belong to group 'Lobby Ambassador' or defaults are not set COMMON-11,LobbyAmbDefaults

Symptom:
WCS deletes the Guest User Template when trying to de-provision it from a controller. Instead of deleting the guest user from the selected controllers, the user is removed from all controllers and the template deleted from WCS.
Conditions:
Using the delete functionality on the Guest User Template Page
After upgrading WCS version from 6.0.196.0 to 7.0.172.0 issue was resolved. Thanks..

Administrator user Expire

Hi,
The administrator password of BI Java is getting expired after we made a datasource change from BI ABAP to BI Java.Administrator is assigned as a Default user & UME security policy says it should expire afer 90 days.But 90 days has not been covered but still it got expired.I am in confusion whether it is taking any policy from ABAP??The security policy of Technical user is 0 days so will it be recommended if we change administrator from default to Technical user??

Did the expiration occur right after the datasource change? If yes, I think it's just a security measure to make sure that you pick up a new password for the 'newly' used Administrator.
I'd say whether the Administrator should be Technical or Default would depend on how you use this account (background jobs? etc.) and your company's security policy

When I try to open itunes it says "token for the user expires, please authenticate. when I try to do so, it quits

itunes won't open - it says "token for this user about to expire. Please authenticate yourself again". Then when I try to do so, it closes.

SAPR3 user expired.

Hi All,
In our system database user SAPR3 is expired and when I am trying to unlock this user and in the process it is asking me the old password which I am not aware of.
Please some body tell me how to reset the password.

Just to share, if anyone search for this error.
1.     ALTER USER SAPSR3 ACCOUNT UNLOCK; /to unlock
2.     ALTER USER SAPSR3 IDENTIFIED BY SAP; /to change password at oracle level
3.     To allow continued logon of the R/3 work processes using the OPS$ mechanism, you must also change the password in the SAPUSER table. The simplest way of making a consistent change in the Oracle dictionary and in the
SAPSR3 table is to use the " -f chpass" option of brconnect, for example:
brconnect -f chpass -o sapsr3 -p <new_password>

Schedule Concurrent program - User Expired

Hi all,
In my system, I have a scheduled program which runs in every Half an hour. Yesterday the user got expired and concurrent program stopped working.
Today I have removed the expiry date before 1.5 Hr. But still the program is not triggered. Do i need to schedule the same again?
Can you please tell me what need to be done ?

But it is not.. ( I am not sure wht happened )
In our prod environment i could see that one request ended (canceled) saying ' XYZ user is expired' but i am not very sure whether the user got expired or password got expired. But now the user is active . And was updated last night. (not able to reach the person who updated :( )
I know it is difficult to think :( but so many things are stuck on prod :(
I have checked the latest prod clone . There there is no end date for user and password expiry in 60 days .

If guest accounts are created through sponsor portal make sure sponsor group's maximum duration of account value is set higher than the Time Profile value you are giving to these users.
This max duration value will override any time profile value you are configuring.....

Authentication Messages - Locked User, Expired Password etc...

In standard Servlet Security, when using the container authentication mechanism ( using j_security_check) ..., the only responses one can send to the end user are the un-authorized page and the not authenticated message.
There is so much advancement in every other area, but none in this particular area to have a mechanism to send authentication failure error messages for specific cases like the one shown in the title.
Is there any standard pattern that will use Container Managed security to display such error messages.
Any pointers will be great.

We can use other login mechanisms, but the problem is that the so called J2EE Pluggable Authentication Realms (or Providers or Domains or Registries) only use the j_security_check mechanism to authenticate users.
So the end result is a very primitive mechanism.
So I was looking for some pointers on a JSR which is dealing with this or somebody who has a pattern to circumvent this problem.

Users getting forced to change password at least twice when expired

Has anyone else experienced this?? A user expired yesterday, was prompted to change password and went into application. Tried to go in today and was prompted again to change password. The pwdchangetime is set to yesterday and the modifier is the user so pwdMustChange, (which is set to true), should not kick in.

I've since found out that this is how Oracle has coded an expiration. If you change your password with a grace login, the modifiers stamp isn't your own. So you must change you password again if you have force change password set in your password policy.

How to do something before the user session expires

Hi,
I need to do some extra cleanup (delete some rows from database, etc) before the session of a user expires.
I tried to do it with Phase Listeners, but haven't figured out how to put it on the session, I guess I need a kind of Listener.

Can implement ServletContextListener to fire off events on context destroy.

Creative Cloud for Teams. I can not remove a user

I am helping a friend who has bought Creative Cloud for Teams. I am myself a team admin for a company and that's why she asked me to help out.
She has only one user on the team right now, her self. She is also the admin.
Different User and Pass for each.
Anniversary date is in July 2015.
Trouble started four weeks ago in the beginning of October.
The iMac was on System 10.7 but I updated to 10.10 when trying to solve the matter.
I cleaned everything Adobe, using Adobe Cleaner and manually inside out, preferences, Libraries, Applications, Utilities…
Installed again the Creative Cloud and started with Photoshop to try out once again.
When she is logged into the Admin Console / Manage Team it shows very clearly that the User is Active.
When she tries to open any CC application there is a message saying that the account has expired.
When trying to remove the User, it is not possible and there is a yellow sticker saying: "We're sorry. Something seems to be wrong on our end. Please try again later. If this continues to fail, please contact customer support."
The User can not use any of the CC applications and the only option now is to run a 30 days trial on the admins Adobe ID while we try solve this matter.
Is anything of this familiar to anyone? Any suggestions?

The problem was partly that the owner of the license should have assigned the first (and only) seat to the admin, herself, the buyer,
Instead she assigned it to herself under another Adobe ID. She says she was told to do it this way but reading the instructions from Adobe says you should start by assigning the first seat to yourself/the admin.
But that should not have caused such dramatic problems where she was not able to delete the user and correct it. Also the license for the assigned user expired – strangely after 5 months of use. There was something that happened at Adobe that made this stick and the problem had to be solved by them.
In the meantime I made the admin a trial for 30 days and the problem was solved within that time and everything is fine now.
Lesson learned: If one is buying a Team version, one should always assign the first seat to the admin – as the instructions says.

I need to know more infor about users in oracle 11g.
1.How to check when user last time login to database.
2.If user account is lock why it is locked? if it is locked by trying to loing with wrong password how to check how many times he attempted with wrong password...and other reasons also
3.Wheni was trying to select user expire date it is showing empty value...can we check expire date through querys or we need to check profile?
4.How to check when he was reset his password last time.
