User getting disconnected everyday at 02:30 AM sharp

All,
We've been having an issue where users are getting disconnected from vpn everyday sharlpy at 02:30 AM. We have two ASA's but this issue is happening with only one of them. Also we do have a call center which is open 24/7 and during this time the agents are getting international calls. Please if anyone has any idea why, let me know.
Thanks,
Thiago Henriques

Further to what Raj has requested, let me know if we're authenticating these users via any external authentication server like ACS or NPS. If yes, I'd also like to see if there is any "time & date" based condition configured for this specific user.

  • Users getting disconnected when the sap cluster group failover happens.

    Hello all,
We have done the HA installation on mysaperp2005(ecc6.0).
The failover groups are sapcluster group(ascs+scs instance) and the Database(DB group). The central and the dialog instances are installed locally and do not form the part of the cluster.
When ever the sapcluster group failover to the second node. The users gets disconnected and need to login again.
How can we configure the nodes so that the users do not get disconnected during the failover of the sap groups and the users are not disturbed.
    thanks
    satyajit

    Hi Satyajit,
This is exactly the reason why it is called High Availability and not Full Availability.
When the node where Database runs fails, the memory structure (Instance) associated with the Database is lost and needs to be restarted on the other node. This means that all the transactions which have not been commited to the database needs to be rolled back. Hence the users doing insert/updates into the database will be disconnected from the System.
While the database is unavailable the Work processes go into a restart mode wherein they wait for the DB to come up again and keep pining it.
Database becomes available again after the Instance is started on the other node with Instance recovery and the users can connect back. Work processes recognize that the database is available and everything is back to normal.
In case of Central Instance (enqueue) failover, the lock information is lost and hence again the transactions need to be rolled back hence the users will be disconnected if they are doing an Insert/Update into the System. System becomes available once the Enqueue service is made available again after the failover.
So in either case there will be user disconnects as HA doesnot cover the memory structure failovers.
Hope this clears it up for you.
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Sunil.

  • GUEST User gets disconnected on Guest Wlan on 2602 ap in Flexconnect mode

    Hey guys,
I have configured a guest Wlan for guest users in remote site. The Ap's are in flexvonnect mode and authentication is web authentication where a lobby user generates and distributes passwords to guest. The guest devices however gets disconnected after 10-15 minutes and needs to be reauthenticated.
I have disabled session timeout feature but still no relief.
    Any comments ???
    Thanks

    HI Sandeep,
I think, it's a expected. client has to re-login/reauth after session timeout or deauth.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_configuration_example09186a008067489f.shtml
Note: If clients are active after successful login, they will get           de-authenticated and entry can still be removed from the controller after the           session timeout period configured on that WLAN (for example,1800 seconds by           default and can be changed using this CLI command: config wlan           session-timeout ). When this           occurs, client entry is removed from the controller. If the client associates           again, it will move back in a Webauth_Reqd state.
If clients are in Webauth_Reqd state, no matter if they are active or       idle, the clients will get de-authenticated after a web-auth required       timeout period (for example, 300 seconds and this time is non-user       configurable). All traffic from the client (allowed via Pre-Auth ACL) will be       disrupted. If the client associates again, it will move back to the       Webauth_Reqd state.
There is an enhancement request filed esp. for your situation with Pre-auth ACL.

  • AFP users getting disconnected "because the volume could not be found"

We have a Leopard server which is mostly used for its file sharing services (AFP for the office Macs and SMB for the PCs).
The PCs never seem to have a problem with SMB, but the Macs using AFP regularly get kicked off with the message, "Volume "....." can not be used and will be ejected because it is no longer available."
Some days it doesn't happen at all, while other days (like today!) it happens constantly.
    What I've tried so far:
    - Restarting AFP
    - Restricting the number of users that can connect
Not a big list, but I can't think of anything else to try.
By the way, the problem happens both inside the LAN and when connecting via the Internet.
Any ideas for where to start troubleshooting?

    Thanks for the reply, Leif.
Strange characters in the share name: No, just regular roman characters
Share folders/whole volume: Yes, certain folders only on the volume
Shared volume on external FW drive: Yes (or USB 2.0 - I will have to check when I'm back at the office tomorrow), but definitely not set to sleep.
Hope this gives some possible clues.
    Thanks again --

  • NAC High Availability: Users getting disconnected during failover

    Hi,
We have a pair of CAS in in-band virtual-gateway mode in high availability mode.
We are still running some tests but we have noticed that the clients are losing connectivity during the failover.
    * The service ip is always active (never stops responding pings).
    * The stand-by CAS becomes active immediatly after we shut down the primary, we see it on the CAM.
    * The client however looses connectivity with the internal network for almost two minutes.
I'm guessing this isn't normal, but would like to know what is the expected behaviour on this.
    Thanks and regards,

We configured another pair today and we are noticing the same behaviour, however it seems random... sometimes the user barely looses connection, other times it will take from 2-5 minutes for it to come back.
We are only using eth2 for the failover link since we only have one serial port.
When we test we make sure both servers are up and then we reboot the primary. The secondary becomes active immediately. When both are up again we repeat the process.
any other ideas? something we should check?
    Thanks!

  • Everyday around 3 to 4 PM all RDP sessions (around 50) getting disconnected

    Hi,
We have a Windows 2008 R2 Terminal Server (workgroup) with SQL Server and C# application installed on the same terminal server.
Around 50 users access this terminal server. Since 15 days, everyday between 3PM to 4 PM, all the 50 user sessions gets dicsonnected at the same time and without anything done on the server, users can RDP again and work without any problems.
Verified event logs, terminal server logs, network, firewall, router etc. everything is working fine.
Only thing observed is, when RDP sessions gets disconnected, we see PING time out.
Any help to address this issue is appreciated.
    Raghuveer.

Hi this is the error, users are experiencing.
The session won't go into disconnect status, it stays ACTIVE only in the terminal server.
User session freezes for 5 to 15 seconds and the same RDP session continues to work without any manual intervention.
Is this network issue ? We ruled out network cable, routers problems if any in both client and server locations.
    Error: Reconnecting
The connection has been lost..Attempting to reconnect to your session...
    Connection attempt 1 of 20
    Enabled following :
    Open Group Policy Object Editor:
    (command line: gpedit.msc)
    Navigate to Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Terminal Services

Any other suggestions is beneficial to us to fix this issue.

  • User id getting locked everyday

    Dear All,
User Id getting locked everyday having profile SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW.I m not getting any clue why its getting locked everyday.
I tried to check RFC and  background job job also but i m not able to find.everyday i have to unlock it.
Kindly suggest me how to check.
    Regards
    Adil

    Hi,
Such issue mostly happens due to wrong attempt of login in SAP system client with that SAP User id either through RFC login, external- program, script,etc...
If you have checked all the RFCs login settings and not able to found the login attempt, then  Enable [SAP Security audit log|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/c7/69bcb7f36611d3a6510000e835363f/content.htm] using SM19, SM20 and analyze the logs for that SAP User id only.

  • Multiple Logins - users not getting disconnected

Since applying support package stack 7 to our ECC6 EHP4 system we have had a number of users report getting the message about already being logged in when logging into the system.
We have asked to users to chose
Continue with this login and end any other logins in system""
Problem is this has no effect.  Our undesirable work around has been to ask the user to log out then manually log the users out using SM04.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

    Hi,
Did the users have a clean logoff.
The system is still holding connection even after  the user terminate his session, and that was the reason it says user already logged on.
But the old connection do not long last, and even they eventually get closed automatically by system.
If the users are getting disconnected automatically(connection drops) and when they are trying to connect if system shows that message, then it was problem with connection drops. You need to check the latency of network and any high latency will result in SAP terminal sessions automatic drops. In that case your network bandwidth need to be increased.
Is this problem shown only in system that got SP upgraded in landscape?
    Regards.

    Hi There,
At the moment my current setup is as follow.
    1x 2012 R2 ( RDS01 = Web, Gateway, Licensing and Broker )
    2x 2012 R2 ( RSH01 and RSH02 = Session Host )
I have changed our DNS zone so our users can user the same url remote.mycompany.com from internal and external. our internal domain is mycompany.local.
At the moment i have couple issues.
if i run ( http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Change-published-FQDN-for-2a029b80) to use remote.mycompany.com, the clients wont be able to launch any remoteapp. I have overcome this by creating two A records (RDSfarm.mycompany.com and pointing the
IP for Both session host then running the script to change to rdsfarm.mycompany.com) it works but users get certificate mismatch
User are getting disconnected suddenly without any warning, despite my session settings are set to never,
and going through event viewer, i can see the following.
The winlogon notification subscriber <Sens> failed a notification event. Event id 6001
The winlogon notification subscriber <TermSrv> failed a critical notification event. event id 004
any help will be very appreciated.

  • Wireless Lan Controller users randomly get disconnected

    Hi to all,
We have issues where clients randomly get disconnected from the wireless network, i have a 4400 WLC with the version 4.2.176.0 and suddenly users are getting disconnected, what i've noticed is that the users are attached to one access point at 100% signal straight and at 54Mbps but suddenly the signal and the speed goes down and the client roams to another access point that is far away from the users location (the user never moves and is next to the access point that they should connect to).
It seems that the Auto RF algoritm is not working correctly, I upgrade to the 6.0.182.0 release but the problem still remains.
Any ideas of what else should i try??
    Thanks in advance

Further on this investigation is that we are using Intel based Wireless adapters in our laptops across the company. All adapters that support 802.11n specifications had issues, except one particular model X200 running Windows XP SP3. Intel has also come up with a fix for the 802.11n clients dropping their connectivity and it is available here:
    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-71056.html
The specific section on this page is as below:
    Version 13.01.1000 (6MWC18WW)
(New) Added support for Intel WiFi Link 5150.
(Fix) Fixed an issue where wireless connection might be dropped in 802.11n mode.
Would be curious to know what type of Wireless NICs is everyone else using. What is the driver version? Driver date?
    Thanks!

  • User gets "This network connection does not exist" when she tries to log on to Terminal Server (2008 R2)

User gets "This network connection does not exist" when she tryes to log on to Terminal Server (2008 R2)
I got more than 100 users. Shes the only one getting is. We tried four computers (All Windows 7 Pro)
Nothing useful in event viewer to mention.

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
Does that user able to login previously?
From your comment, it seems that there is some permission issue with that user. As you have checked that user with different system also. Please check that user is added under “Remote Desktop User” local group and also allowed “Allow log on through
Remote Desktop service” permission under group policy. Also please check that when user tries to login it uses “Domainname\Username” format.
In addition for a try, also check by disabling firewall on one particular system.
To add users and groups to the Remote Desktop Users group by using Local Users and Groups snap-in:
    1.  Click Start > Administrative Tools, Open Computer Management.
    2.  In the console tree, click the Local Users and Groups node.
    3.  In the details pane, double-click the Groups folder.
    4.  Double-click Remote Desktop Users, and then click
    Add.
    5.  In the Select Users dialog box, click Locations to specify the search location.
    6.  Click Object Types to specify the types of objects you want to search for.
    7.  Type the name you want to add in the Enter the object names to select (examples) box.
    8.  Click Check Names.
When the name is located, click OK.

  • I noticed that Phone call, is getting disconnected often while on the wheel.

Any one have noticed this problem while using your iPhone:
While you are travelling (on the wheel) and attending a phone call, while your the cell phone receives signal from telecom network tower to tower, your phone call get disconnected automatically. When you look at you phone, it shows there is no network and after sometime (about 2 to 4 Seconds) phone receives signal back.
I am using iPhone 3GS model with iOS 6.1.3 (10B329). I thought this would be my phone problem but when I asked my friends and colleagues (they are using iPhone 5) and they said that even they are facing this issue.
Another issue: Today we (a group) in a club house. We kept 3 iPhones, 1 Nokia phone and a Samsung phone in a line. iPhone receives only 1 network tower (3G) while both the phones (Nokia and Samsung) receives 4 towers out of 5.  Where we all use the same network provider (Corporate connection).
Then what we 3 did is we Switched ON the Airplane Mode and after a while switched OFF this mode. After that iPhone start to receive the full signal.
What is this PROBLEM in iPhone ? What about you (iPhone users) did you face this problem ?
What is the solution ? Any answer ......

It sounds like the vibration motor on your iPhone has failed and will no longer vibrate.

  • 5508 WLC on 7.4MR2- Clients getting Disconnected using CWA

We are experiencing an issue with clients getting disconnected/time out from a wlan doing CWA.  The clients are iphones.  A debug client shows the error(Unknown Policy Timeout). This particular WLAN is used for provisioning with ISE. ISE shows the user authenticated the entuire time.  At first, we though it was the user idle timeout setting on the WLAN advanced tab, but after increasing that clients still get disconnected.  The disconnect occurs around 2 minutes.  Sometimes longer around 10 minutes.  Cisco seems to think we are hitting a bug introduced in 7.3.112 and will not be fixed until 8.0.  Below are the bug details and the debug output.  Has anyone seen this?  Any possible work-arounds? Thanks.
