User license agreement window wont go away
I cannot open photoshop because of the user license agreement. Whenever I click agree, the window comes right back up. I've tried everything I could possibly think of to solve this and nothing is working. I've even taken the product back and purchased a new one to get the same result. PLEASE HELP ME!
I’ve seen this recurring as a problem with several Adobe products. I’ve never seen a satisfactory answer apart from tweaking the registry or setting up a new user account. I think it best to contact Adobe support. It’s sometimes possible to set up an on-line chat if agents are free. Start by clicking Contact Adobe at the bottom of this page.

Each time I try to open a PDF in Safari I am directed to this message:
"Before proceeding you must first launch Abobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement".
This prevents me from viewing the PDF in a Safari window, or downloading the PDF file to my computer and viewing it.
No such option to "accept End User License Agreement" is avialable when I launch Adobe Acrobat. This problem has only occured since I undertook a trial of Adobe CC, and subsequently uninstalled it after deciding not to proceed with a license.
I do have Adobe 9 Acrobat Pro and Adobe Suite CS4 fully licened and operational on my Mac. I have never had this problem prior to trialing Adobe CC.If launching Adobe Reader doesn't help, try this.
1. Check the Applications folder carefully - put it into alphabetical order NOT icons. See if there is more than one Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat. If so, start each one in turn. Notice whether the message says "Adobe Reader" or "Adobe Acrobat" too.
2. If that doesn't help, even after quitting all the apps (Safari and Adobe Reader), downloading and installing again is worth a try. This will not make the message go away! But it might cause the license agreement to appear properly. -
Acrobat Pro XI problem+Accept End User License Agreement when opening a PDF inside IE
Hi folks, this issue has been challenging.
Acrobat Pro CC install
W7 X64
Deployment went ok after the code was worked out, but.....
We use Desire to Learn content management system at the community college where I maintain the student computers at. When running D2L and a PDF has been embedded in some course material, I am getting the message below and the PDF won't open.
“Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement" .
The only fix so far is to run up Acrobat Pro and run the program once. Fine and dandy, but we are looking at 700+ machines to clear in this fashion. The other part of this scenario we we also utilize Respondus Lockdown Browser to invigilate exams through D2L. Because of the "lock down" features, the student can't even get back to the desktop to run Acrobat and clear the message.
I have tried a number of GPO entries to no avail. As well, disabled the IE PDF viewer add-on. I ran Procmon with no results either; .
I have been scouring the Googlemachine and building on the GPO below to get around the issue with no results. I am hoping someone with a sharper eye than I can spot something or point me in the correct direction..
Thanks eh.

Try using APTEE to do EULA suppression and check.

Everytime i try opening a pdf this message comes up "Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser" I have no idea where to find this agreement to accept it.
If you are in Windows (which we don't know), you can try using Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement. In Mac, with Reader closed, go to your Applications folder, double click on the Reader icon, and follow the lead.

Getting error: Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser. I just purchased and installed Adobe acrobat pro for the Mac today.
Hi Tbeirne,
If you just want to save a pdf opened in Safari to your machine use the save as option from within the Reader plugin window. Just click on any of the buttons highlighted in below screenshots to Save a pdf at any location on your machine.
or
To summarize the issue, if you had opened an Internet PDF in a browser plug-in, you must use the save feature in the plug-in, not the Safari File > PDF Export, or File > Save As...
Please let us know if this solution works for you and you are able to save and view PDFs files locally.

Photoshop Elements 8 not opening after agreeing to end user license agreement?
So like the title suggests, when I try to open Photoshop Elements 8, an End User License Agreement pops up for me. This happened just recently and in the years I've used the software it has never, ever done this to me, so I was kind of surprised when it popped up. I click accept to proceed, but after I click accept, it doesn't do anything at all. No matter how many times I try opening it, no matter how many times I try to only open the editor first and not the organizer or run as administrator, nothing seems to work. I really don't understand why this is happening and what I should do. I know reinstalling is an option, but I no longer have the installation disc so I would like to try other methods of fixing this if possible.
Enclosing a picture below so you can see what I'm dealing with:Try the licensing service update:

Reader X problem - Accept End User License Agreement
I have recently updated to Adobe Reader X.
I use Windows XP (SP3) and Internet Explorer.
Now, when I attempt to read a .pdf file a Reader X message pops up with the following message;
"Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement".
I do not have Adobe Acrobat, I am using the free Adobe Reader X.
Why am I getting this message and what can I do to stop it so that I can again read .pdf files.
This never happened with the previous version of Adobe Reader.
How can I go back to the previous version?
Thanks
Gryphon2345I have the same issue reported by Gryphon, however this response is an odd fix IF it were to be available to me.
The "Enable Protected Mode" is a new feature in Reader X that allows for a "sandbox" security layer in Reader. You can read up on that here: http://blogs.adobe.com/livecycle/2010/11/technical-details-of-adobe-reader-x-protected-mod e.html
While it does prevent you from opening up certain PDF's directly, we've only seen this when opening up files over our network. The message received was an "Access Denied" issue, and turning this off got rid of that.
In my scenario, I originally attemtped to update Reader 10.0.1 to 10.1.0 using SCUP and the published update. This caused my custom setup to be overwritten (customizations included default acceptance of license agreement, removing Auto Updater, and disableing Protected Mode). I then had to re-create a custom installation using the Customization Wizard with the 10.1.0 MSI file from the Adobe FTP site. After running this, I'm getting the above error now on machines that never had Acrobat.
That being said, Alex's suggestion of turning this on or off is not applicable b/c it's disabled based on my custom installation. The box is grayed out and I can't even enable/disable it anyway.
Anyone out there have a better solution?
UPDATE: It appears that Alex is correct. I removed the registry entry bProtectedMode from HKLM\Software\Policies\adobe\10.0\featureLockdown and was able to open all files w/out the message. However, I'm not 100% sure what this will do to other PDF files as we originally disabled this so that certain files could be opened. So far, this user has been ok with Protected Mode ENABLED, however, in a recent test, I was blocked from opening a web PDF b/c of it on my PC at my desk.
also appears others threads have been started (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3767559#3767559) so not sure when this may be looked at or answered.

Acrobat Reaader will not work before I accept End User License Agreement. But where and how?
Have installed version 9.5 on my Windows 7 desk-top computer.I don't know what you mean by "where and how"; Adobe Reader will automatically present the license agreement to accept the first time you use it.

Where can I find the end users license agreement?
Hi!
Every time I try to open a document online the windows pops up with the notice that I need to agree to the end user license agreement in order for me to be able to view pdf. How can i do it?Have you actually opened Adobe Reader (as instructed) to see if it offers the ability to accept the agreement?
If so and it didn't work, what version of Reader, OS and web browser are you using? -
Accept the End User License Agreement. Where is this done?
I am trying to launch documents from the web and I get the following: Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement. After launching the product, there is no option for doing this. I have gone to my account and also find no option. I am trying Acrobat Pro as part of the Creative Cloud. Thanks.
Try running Acrobat on its own (not from within a browser window).
PS - This is the Adobe Reader forum, not the Acrobat forums. -

How do I accept "end user license agreement" so I can view PDF documents? I have tried everything.
Hi Emily
Can you elaborate on what you are trying to do including the steps you followed, and the error you are seeing? Also, what platform are you on? Desktop (Windows/Mac), Mobile (iOS/Android)?
Thanks

very frustrated. downloaded reader but when I try to download pop up box says I have to accept end user license agreement but there is no place to accept it at. I need to download pdf asap for my business. Please help.
Hi Pat. I've done that, it opens up the install window again. If I click on install it says it's already installed. Nothing comes up that allows me to accept the end user agreement. I just retried and the same thing happens.
I appreciate your help.

I am using a Mac and have installed Adobe Reader for Mac, latest version. I cannot access the End User Licensing Agreement. I clicked on it and it gives me a message that I must launch Adobe, check that I agree, close and reopen. The problem is I can't find any way to launch Adobe because it appears nowhere on my launch pad, nor in my document files or on the control panel. Because of this, I cannot print bank statements nor can I get into my insurance companies billing department to make a payment. HELP!
How about in your Applications folder?

I am getting this response when I am trying to open a file: Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser.” What do I do? I have opened this up in the past without a problem.
Back up all data.
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, there should be a setting in its preferences such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected. Otherwise do as follows.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.
