User name or password does not match

When attempting to authorize Digital Editions on a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Andoid tab. I keep getting this error. I have reset my Adobe passowrd and double checked the information in my ID profile and I continue to get this message. How do I move past this point so I may read EPubs ?

Try loading the Bluefire app and authorizing that.
Also, try installing ADE on a computer and authorizing that.
It won't solve the problem, but might help narrow down where the issue lies.

The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.2 - earlier systems don't show the iCloud preference pane. If you want to use iCloud you will have to upgrade to Lion or Mountain Lion (assuming your computer meets their requirements) but even so you won't be able to publish web pages to iCloud because it does not provide web hosting. I receive an error stating user name and password are not valid on my ipad and iphone 3Gs when attempting to load email from my icloud account. When I log onto icloud from my Mac, it wont load the email either.

One day, my ipad and iphone pick up my emails (.mac account) from icloud just fine. the next day, I recieved error messages that say my user name and password are not accurate. I removed the icloud program on both devices and added it back on to both devices and get the same message. I logged into icloud from my Mac and while I can log in, it times out when I select email and wont load the email there either. Any Suggestons?

I am having the same problem; it started about 24-36 hours ago.
I know my ID/PW combo are correct because I can access all other aspects of iCloud except mail.
iPhone -- returns incorrect ID / Password
iPad -- Same
Mail.app on Mac -- returns incorrect password error
icloud.com -- allows me to log in and use all functions accept mail. When I try to use mail it stays on a white screen for about 60 seconds then returns a dialogue box that indicates a server error.
I contacted Apple and they placed my iCloud account into something called "Troubleshooting" mode. They generated a new strong password and sent it on to "Engineering."
I suspect there are a small number ofo users like you who are affected with the same problem I am. Too small a number for it to be reported as an outtage. I suggest you call Apple and open a case to have your mail investigaged.

I'm try to set up a new Epson printer SX 445 to my router/network but each time I run the set up wizard it fails to complete saying Security Key/Password Check fail.

I know that the password is correct and have rechecked this by changing it a few times
and I still get the same result.
My network internet service provider is not interested and says to call Epson.
Anybody have any clues how I can resolve this?

I personally suggest the new Drobo FS. Since it has an iTunes server built in and you can use any size sata hard drive in it it is better and a NAS that has to use the same size drives.

Directory Utility keeps telling me the name and password do not match

Installed Leopard Server on my Mini a few days ago, and I enabled Open Directory server.
Added the server in my home network with directory utility on my laptop, and it works perfect both when I'm on the local network, and when I'm elsewhere.
Tried doing the same at my Leopard iMac at work today. Finds the server just fine, but when trying to configure my machine locally I get an error message during Authentication that simply says "The name and password you entered for the user account on the server do not match".
Now. I KNOW the username and password is correct. And I have the same username and password on this machine (both the long name, and the short one).
So what am I doing wrong here?

I've experienced similar issue recently. The most likely solution will be to delete the user and recreate it using same uid and username. I'm going to look for other solutions prior to that.

Administrator name and password does not work in other accounts

My hard drive died so I had one installed. I reinstalled contents from TimeMachine. When my son is in his account and he is prompted for the Administrator's name and password I type in the required info but the shaking text box indicates that my admin name and password are wrong. Can someone help please? I am having some issues with my open directory server.None of the Network users can log in.The dns is ok.The ldap mapping to the server works fine.But when i access the shared home directories of the network users through workgroup manager, i notice that each user has lost the permissions to his/her home folder, the owner portion is empty.if i click on user/groups and drag the user to the owner portion to assign read/write priviledge it tells me "unable to make changes,the username you entered does not exist".I mac am running Mac OS Server 10.3.9

I have gone through all those notes. But, the issue we face here seems to be a peculiar one. First of all, it happens while applying for job (iRecruitment Self Service) and not while creating a contingent worker or creating an employee in the form, as given in the notes.
Moreover, We haven't had this error either in development nor in test instance. It happened only when we migrated the setups to Production. Moreover, the test and development are nothing but the clone of production at various time intervals. We have tested this on the very latest clone of production (that happened on 15th november) and verified that it doesn't popup there.
Can you give me some insights 'What could be the actual problem'?
Considering the solution given in the notes, it talks about 'Setting the default work location for the business group'? Where to set this up?

Firefox is a web browser and not a company (that would be Mozilla) nor a email client (that would be Thunderbird or email client in SeaMonkey).

I know this is an old post, but having had the exact same issue and failing to find anything of value out there, I figured I would share what I did to fix this.
On your iPhone, go to "Settings" and scroll down to the "Stores" app. Select it. Once in, the Apple ID that is shown to you will be the one that shows when you try to download new apps or update old ones. Assuming you are here because you changed your iTunes ID and the change is not reflected on your iPhone, you simply need to then "Sign Out", and sign back in again using your new ID.
Back in the AppStore in your iPhone, the new ID should now show, and all you need to do is validate your password to get going.

Hi all. Last year I purchased a MacBook Pro with Tiger OSX. Anyways I wanted to switch to leopard, so I did. Now when I want to install updates, as usual it requires my user name and password. But after I installed leopard, my old user name and password does not work (my login name does not even show up in the box anymore). I can not install any new software on my computer because of this so called "new password." Any assistance would be greatly appreciated because this is very frustrating since I just purchased an iPhone and I can't sync it because I need the new version of itunes.

can you log in at all as another user? if not activate root and log in as root using [these instructions|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1278]. then look in the /Users folder at the top level of the hard drive. do you see the home directory with your old username there? post back with what you find.
