User not found when selecting user in SO from the Portal

I have SCSM 2012 R2, and have setup some Service Offerings, Request offerings.
This one is a "generic" Software request,
1. Select user (query)
2. Select software (list)
3. Write in software if not in the list (text)
I have two users so far that are not showing up when you search name in question #1.  Though I do find the user account in the CMDB.  Also found in AD, and the AD connector seems to be finishing successfully.  I checked the configure
prompts section of the RO, and see that is selects all users where lastname is not Null.  I checked the CMDB, and both of these users have first, last, and displaynames... SOoOoO not sure whats going on here.
Any ideas?
Joshua Fuente

I have it set to 5000, and should only have about 3500 AD users. But I have 19k users in the CMDB due to the fact that it creates a new user CI from external sources. (When they email in a ticket).
Also, the RO configuration for the query is set to only search user CIs that have a "lastname".  So when I search, so far I am not finding any of the external contacts I believe due to the fact that they only have a username set in the CMDB.

  • User Not Found When Attempting to Sign In To FusionHQ

    Hello Firefox Tech Support,
When I initialized Firefox in order to sign into my Fusionhq software, first, there was the Prompt from Firefox inquiring as to whether I can trust the Fusionhq site. Then, after responding Yes, I can vaguely recall some things about my signing in being an Exception in this case, and I believe that I responded Yes, when I should have responded No, wherein I was taken back to the Fusionhq Sign-In Screen. Upon attempting to sign in at the new Fusionhq Sign-In Screen, I then got the “User Not Found” message. For good measure, there might have been an additional Prompt before I got to the Exception Question.
Can you please have my original sign in reset, in order that I can go back to Firefox to sign into Fusionhq anew ? Once done, I can go back through the sign in process and then follow a different route for the Prompts.
    Thanks.
    John

    My problem is now resolved.
    Thanks.

  • Itunes gives me this error message This copy of itunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly.  Please reinstall itunes (-42037) However, it will not install-- when i try to download from the net it says same message.  How do i reinstall Itunes?

Itunes gives me an error message when I try to open.   "This copy of itunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly.  Please reinstall itunes (-42037) "
Howeever it says the same thing when i try to download from the app store.  How do I get this reinstalled??

First uninstall your copy of Itunes--http://www.tekrevue.com/tip/uninstall-itunes/  (make sure you empty crash)  Then you go to the applications website and reinstall it.  Dont worry about losing any of your music because thats in a separate folder.   Thats it---it works.

  • LDAP user not found when authenticating

In the next episode of my LDAP sync struggles, I am not able to authenticate any user when LDAP authentication is set.
The user data is synching fine through the Active Directory, but when attempting to log in I get the "Incorrect User Name or Passward" message.
In the client management log it says the user does not exist. I know the user exists because I can run beectl list_users and it shows up.
The log for the authentication service returns a no data found: BEE_CODE.AUTH_PKG", line 506 error.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Tom

Also a "beectl validate_directory_entry --all --profiel OCSDEV1" is not working on that box. It fails with:

  • Error 404 -- Not Found, when a Servlet is invoked from browser

Obviously, I have not been able to configure my WebLogic Server 5.1.0 to run
              even the simplest servlet.
I painstakenly went through all the steps that are listed in the WebLogic
Server 5.1.0 documentation on the Web to enable servlets, but obviously, I
              have missed a step somewhere.
I have modified the weblogic.properties file as per all the instrustions,
but the server simply won't recognize any servlets, not even the SqlServlet
that came with the server as an example.
It would require more than 1 exchange of posts to resolve it for me, and I
am wondering if one of you is willing to work with me on this until I have
managed to configure the server to make a servlet work on it.
The server does function as a Web server as I can run the index.html
document by entering the URL: http://localhost:7001/index.html
I am pasting the contents of weblogic.properties file below to get the
person who is willing to help me started.
The machine I have is a Pentium III with Windows 2000 Professional on it.
It's a home machine and the WebLogic server is the freely downloadable
version. I am using it to prepare for a potential contract work.
I have managed to modify setEnv.cmd file and have managed to compile the
SqlServlet.java, which is an example servlet. Neither this particular
servlet nor a HelloWorld type of very basic servlet I have written are
              recognized by the server.
As you can see from my weblogic.properties file (pasted at the end of this
post), the SqlServlet has been registered. I have also uncommented the lines
to allow for the following type of URL:
              http://localhost:7001/servlet/myServlet
              Thanks!

              # THE WEBLOGIC PROPERTIES FILE
              # This file, which conforms to the java.util.Properties file
              # definition, configures your WebLogic products. You cannot run
              # WebLogic Server without setting required configuration properties in this
              # file. Required properties are marked and appear first in the file.
              # Details on each entry and important information about configuration
              # and security are documented on our website. Please go to:
              # for full instructions on how to edit this file.
              # You do not need to include properties in this file unless you want to
              # change the default, embedded property. Some properties on the
              # AdminProps page are not listed here because the default property
              # is being used. You can change the default by adding the property and
              # its value to this file.
              # You cannot set weblogic.system.home in this file, since the WebLogic
              Server
              # must know where home is in order to retrieve this file. You can
              # change WebLogic home on the command line when you start the
              # WebLogic Server.

    Problem Resolved!
I found out that I had 'http' instead of 'httpd' in the statement where I

Now, I am having difficulty with hot deployment. The server is returning
              error 404.

  • Dreamweaver reports file "not found" when attempting to open files from SMB server...

User's work-files are hosted on a Windows Server 2003 SP2 volume accessed via SMB. She's been opening and saving the files from the server successfully in Dreamweaver for years from other Macs running Dreamweaver CS4.
Now she has an iMac running 10.7.4 and Dreamweaver CS6... and it's not the SMB problem you'd expect.
She mounts the server volume. She opens and saves files normally with full r/w permissions from any app... except Dreamweaver. For any file that she attempts to open in Dreamweaver -- whether from the Finder or from within Dreamweaver -- Dreamweaver pops up an alert reporting that the file at the file-path was not found. The same file is easily accessible from other apps and from the Finder. She continues to have full read/write access to the shared volume.
Local copies of the files do not have the problem. It only affects files hosted on the server and it only happens in Dreamweaver.
So, I create a new user account and everything works fine... The user mounts the sharepoint, opens a file with Dreamweaver... perfectly normal. Then she quits Dreamweaver and relaunches it... everything's fine. Repeatedly. It all works normally. She quits Dreamweaver and unmounts the share, then she mounts the share again and tries to open a file in Dreamweaver again... and it reports that the file was not found.
This is reproducible: If the server volume has been mounted and unmounted repeatedly under any user account, that triggers the error which continues occurring under that user account from that point on. A restart will not fix it. A safe-boot will not fix it. (In fact, restarting seems to trigger the problem by unmounting the volume.)
I tried trashing the entire contents of the ~/Library folder in one of the test-user accounts. It doesn't fix the problem. Once it strikes a user account, the only temporary fix seems to be using a new user account. And that's like a ticking time bomb just waiting for the problem to pop up again.
    Any ideas?
    TIA!!

I've seen on two computers so far. Looking at the mount point under unix, the share is being mounted at two different locations. This is normal behaviour for Macs when you mount two different shares with the same name.
    From terminal I run:
    df
    Which returns something like
    /dev/disk0s2                           1951845952 224463456 1726870496    12%    /
    devfs                                         360       360          0   100%    /dev
    map -hosts                                      0         0          0   100%    /net
    map auto_home                                   0         0          0   100%    /home
    //[email protected]/website  204360384  38067872  166292512    19%    /Volumes/website
    //[email protected]/website  204360384  38067872  166292512    19%    /Volumes/website-1
    map -fstab                                      0         0          0   100%    /Network/Servers
Notice that the share "website" has been mounted once as website, and again as website-1. This is the underlying unix name for the share, which is how most programs (99% sure including Adobe suite products) will reference files. So, if it thinks that the file is at /Volumes/website/site/index.html but can only see /Volumes/website-1/ then it doesn't know what to do.
The confusion arises because both will show in Finder as "website". Even more annoying is that Finder does not always unmount shares correctly, so that /Volumes/website might not be accessible but /Volumes/website-1 will be. As far as the user is concerned, the share "website" is still mounted, but as far as Dreamweaver is concerned, it isn't, although website-1 is.
It's the same share, same data, but is being referenced by different names, so does not seem accessible.
    BUT
I don't have a solution yet, apart from force unmounting both (or rebooting), remounting, and checking that Dreamweaver is using the right share (perhaps by removing and readding from within Dreamweaver).
    Tedious.

    Hi,
What release of SRM are you using? If SRM 7.0 then the URL called is incorrect, ITS is no longer used for SRM nor are service files, Abap WebDynpro is used to render the SRM screens.
Give us some more information on the error and check for corresponding short dump in ST22, also check that if you are using ITS that the service exists in SICF and is active.

  • Crystal Report Alerts not firing when no records are fetched from the DB

    Hello,
The crystal report alert i have created in the report in the event of no records being fetched from the query is not firing.  The condition used is isnull ( count(DB Field ) ).
Is there a limitation with alerts that they would be fired only when some records are fetched in the report.
    Appreciate any pointers
    -Jayakrishnan

    hi Jayakrishnan,
as alerts require records to be returned here's what you will need to do:
    1) delete your current alert
    2) create a new formula with syntax like
                  isnull(DistinctCount ()) or DistinctCount () = 0
    3) create a new Subreport (which you will put in a report header)
    4) the subreport can be based off of any table
    5) have the subreport record selection always return only 1 record...for performance reasons
    6) change the subreport link to be based on the new formula
    7) the link will be a one way link in that you will not use the "Select data in subreport based on field" option
    8) now in the subreport, create the Alert based on the parameter created by the subreport link
i have tested this and it works great.

  • Crash when selecting an iOS device from the 'Devices' navigator

While waiting for the iTunes 11.1.4 mess to get sorted out, I just noticed that iTunes 11.1.3 now crashes whenever I select an IOS devices (iPad4, iPhone4s) from the 'Devices' navigator. This is a recent phenomenon since the last time I sync'd which was a week ago. I'm able to sync/backup ok, but I can't navigate the device with out crashing. The following Windows application error event gets generated when I click on the device:
Faulting application name: iTunes.exe, version: 11.1.3.8, time stamp: 0x5274a87d
Faulting module name: CoreFoundation.dll, version: 1.630.18.0, time stamp: 0x50a590d1
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x00055d65
    Faulting process id: 0x16c8
    Faulting application start time: 0x01cf1a0b81ee532a
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunes.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\CoreFoundation.dll
    Report Id: f1274fa4-85ff-11e3-948b-485b3912d7df
This has all the hallmarks of crash resulting from an attempt to digest bad data. Since my iOS devices have pretty much the same stuff on them, I think there must be a bad app or the like causing it. Probably someing I picked up while take updates directly from the App Store and then syncing back to iTunes. For kicks I tried connecting an ancient iPod 3d gen nano I have and that worked flawlessly, so I'm even more suspicious that it's a data corruption problem.
I'm new to the Apple support community ecosystem. Is there anything I should be doing to raise a defect / bug with Apple? Have others experienced this sort of thing?
    Thanks,
    -p

Are you asking about syncing using iTunes?
iTunes will sync jpeg previews images to your iOS devices, that are reduced in size. It creates a cache inside your photo libraries - the iPod Photo Cache.
See: iTunes: Understanding the iPod Photo Cache folder
    or: Syncing photos using iTunes
If you want to have the original raw photos on your iDevices, upload them using the Photo Stream; that supports a variety of other formats ( JPEG, TIFF, PNG, and most RAW photo formats).

  • RH11 404 - Page Not Found when linking to PDF file from search results using IE9 and IE10

I'm using RH11 (11.0.3.268) and I've included a number of PDF files as baggage files. The hyperlinks on the pages work fine and display the PDF files in a separate window, as expected. However, when searching for these same PDF files using the Search tab, I'm getting a 404 error with the filename. The description on the error shows the filename and says the "the requested resource is not available." This is occurring using IE9 and IE10. And, it only happens within the application, which packages the WebHelp with a war file.
I searched the forum and found where someone was having the same problem on Firefox, but was fine on IE. But, as mentioned, I'm finding it on IE.
Thoughts on how to fix this error?

Is the WAR file extracted at the point when the search is done? If not, I would expect it to fail.

  • Inside a normally loaded webpage I get Yahoo! 404 -Page not found when trying opening linked articles inside the site. Really annying

    search redirected to http://search.yahoo.com/404handler?

Why are you publishing to a folder? You only need to do this if you are uploading directly to the domain webspace and you need an ftp client to do this such as Cyberduck.
CNAME is only used if you are publishing the site to a MobileMe account and you are forwarding the domain to your MMe account?
What is it that you are doing?
If using CNAME, then you need to go to your MMe account and enter the domain name under the personal section, enter personal domain. Then publish your site and then go to your domain name registrar and go to the DNS settings and set the CNAME up to forward to web.me.com.
If you are using CNAME forwarding, then from within iWeb you need to click on Publish All to MobileMe and NOT TO A FOLDER. The folder option is ONLY if you are uploading directly with ftp to your domain space.

But when i apply prompts in the dashboard the values are not filtering even though i added the "is prompted" filter condition in the criteria of both narrative view section and the called function.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
    Thanks,
    chinna.

    Hi,
since you have created an iframe dashboard prompt wont work on that report.Same is the case if you put the report in Embeded content.
One possible workaround is to creaate a dummy report having columns same as that of dashboard prompt.Put all the columns is prmompted in this report
(No need to create dummy report if you already have those columns in some other report,You can use that report also)
Then go to your Iframe report and use "filter based on other request".In this way dashboard prompt will filter dummy report and based on dummy report values your iframe report will also filter.
    Thanks

  • User not found FM Live Encoder 3 to FMS 3.5

    Hello,
We are testing Flash Media Server 3.5 with Flash Media Live Encoder 3.
Right now we have the problem, that we can not connect from FM Live Encoder 3 to FMS 3.5 running on the localhost (M:\Adobe\Flash Media Server 3.5\Apache2.2). Both running as Standard Installation on the same System (OS: Windows XP SP2). The User is not found. So where do we have to setup the user, so that the connection is possible,
    FM Live Encoder:
    Configuration for Output:
    FMS URL: rtmp://localhost/live
    Backup URL:
    Stream: livestream
    Then press Button “Connect”
Entering the only user and password we set in the FMS Admin Console:
    User ard, pw: ard
Ø  Then the Reply is: User not found.
    FMS 3.5 Admin Console:
    Manage User:
    User: ard
    Reset password: ard
Ø  Still: User not found, when we try to connect from the Live Encoder.
    Modules/access:
    There is a libconnect.dll
    FMS 3.5 access log:
    session connect               2009-06-05         11:40:11               548         127.0.0.1             3316      3073      -              -              -              -                403         -

    Thx for any Information...

ok I just solved my problem.
I am running vista and FMS is installed in ... "program files" ... etc.
So, when adding user through "users.exe" command users.dat remains empty even though it reports "new user successfuly added".
The problem was vista write protection.
