User not listed ... WLS 8.1 SP4

I created a new user "hebu" but the user is not listed,
if I use a filter, then the user is listed, e.g.
User Description Provider
weblogic The default administration user DefaultAuthenticator
Filter By: h*
User Description Provider
hebu CIA Super User DefaultAuthenticator

Just as a check, I moved the JAR files to a common lib directory on the server and added them to the system classpath specified in startWeblogic.cmd, and the application starts fine.
Maybe not related, but yesterday I was tried deploying an EJB that was dependent on a JAR file NOT included within its JAR file, but specified with the Class-path entry in the manifest.
The behaviour I saw was WLS swallowed the ClassNotFoundException silently, the admin console reported that the EJB was deployed successfully but inside the ejbCreate method - I had two print line statements, one prior to calling the missing class, and one after. Only the one prior appeared on the system console, suggesting that the ejbCreate method wasn't completing, yet no exception is thrown ?

Import users from BIAR file -- users not listed in import screen of Wizard

Hi,
we try to import users from a BO XI R2 SP4 running on Windows to our BO XI R2 SP4 running on Linux (both use Oracle database).
When I try to import users with the Import Wizard, I can't see the list of users so at the end of the import and show in the log --> 0 user simported.
I have activate the trace on Wizard import but don't see errors in the log files.
Also I open the file with a ZIP tool and I can see that it contains data.
So why this ?

It is what we do, we use directlty the user: Adminsitrator.
I have also set the -trace parameter on the Wizard import but nothing special in the trace about any errors or warnings. (nothing).

Role and User not listed

Previously I had created a role and added a user. The user
waited several weeks to try to login and now is receiving a message
that his role is no longer valid. When I login to administer the
site his role is not listed and when I re-created the role I can't
add him because his name is 'grayed' out and indicates that he is
currently assigned to the previous role.
Has anyone else had this problem? How can I fix it?

When selecting "Database", a Planning Create will create (or recreate) the Planning application in Essbase. This will erase any Planing supporting detail, account annotations, etc. It will also (IIRC) blow away the Essbase database.
A Planning database refresh updates Essbase with metadata changes (if any).
You know, I've never tried doing a Create->Security Filters.
Now if you mean Administration->Manage Security Filters->Create -- that will just update the filters with whatever the latest and greatest dimensional security is. If you selected all of the filters, it is as if you did a Administration->Manage Database->Security Filters. The idea being you might want to target it if you have many users/large filters.
I think the first time that user logs in you will see the username in the Administration->Manage Security Filters list.
Going backwards, re your first question -- provision the username in SS with access to the Planning app (however you do that, groups, individually, etc.), and give him Essbase server access. Have him log in. All should be good to go.

User not listed in sudoers file OSX Mavericks

When attempting to backup the hosts file (or any other command in Terminal), this message appears after entering the password.
“[username] is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported.”
The username is in fact listed as an admin account in the Users and Groups system prefs, and does have what appears to be a valid password associated with it. There are no other users enabled to use the computer.
One thing that seems odd in the Terminal window is that the username is shown as all lower case, while the actual name of the computer in the Users and Groups panel starts with an upper case character.
And exactly how is the incident reported?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to report this issue to Apple's engineering, bypassing marketing and sales, send a bug report or an enhancement request via its Bug Reporter system. To do this, go to the Bug Reporter page, login with your AppleID (or get one if you don't have one), and file your bug report or enhancement request. You'll get a response and a follow-up number; thus, starting a dialog with engineering and you'll be able to track its status.
Alternatively, File a bug report with Apple., but that usually goes through support and marketing, although when it'll get to engineering is anyone's guess.

User not listed

It appears I have a user that does not show up in the user list. thanks to the help from Linc I discovered this problem. In the user listing I have
three users, Current user CA, other users BA and guest, yet it appears AS is a user and is the "owner" of key applications like CS5.5.
I am running on an iMac mid 2010 and have gone through os upgrades more than once AS may have been admin with the original acquistion.
I believe this is somehow connected to an Adobe update issue and now an Adobe Acrobat crash issue. I am starting here and am posting similar question/comment on Adobe.
That being said, since AS is listed as a user but I can not locate it anywhere, how do I find and then change it?
This all started with sudo whoami. Traveling today my response back may be limited until later.

In your other topic, you never said if your current user account was an admin one or not. That's the first thing to check -- sudo only works for admin users, as was explained in that topic.
There must be at least one admin user account. If you can't find one, something is seriously wrong with your system & that must be corrected before doing anything else, so please let us know if that is your situation.
Otherwise, in Finder navigate to the Users folder of the startup drive (one way is to type command + shift + g, enter "/Users/" without the quotes, & click the "Go" button) & note the names of the folders in it.
You should have a "Shared" folder & one for each user account on the system. How many folders do you see there?

User not listed in Account screen

I recently got SMB sharing to work with my mac and windows xp machine. But then i was running into a problem that i could not see the share folders on the xp machine. I created an account on the mac but i still could not see the folders. Then i came across a post that stated i should change the home directory on the shared account and then i can access my folders since they were located in my home directory. I restarted the machine and now i can not see the user under the account screen. I tried to create another account but it states that one already exsits. Please help me.

I found out how to delete the accounts i just need to know how to properly share the folders. This page helped me out.

Users not listed in Shared Services

I've created a Hyperion Planning application 11.1.1, provisioning was done perfectly, while giving access via "*Access Control Report*" i couldn't select any user including native users like "admin", none of the users are found in the field available users or groups.
Configured Hyperion applications including: Essbase, Planning, Shared Services and Workspace with SQL server 2000.

We have created a planning application. I've given all the provisioning access to the the default user (Admin). While creating form i got an error "Security and/or filtering has resulted in a required dimension not being represented on this data form.". These are the turnarounds i've worked on this issue.
1) Checked in Administration-->Application Settings -->Enabled use of the Application for "All users".
2) In Assign Application Owner tab under select user, Admin user is selected.
3) Checked in Administration-->Dimensions-->Account (dimension is selected). But, in "Assign Access" i didn't find any of the users (including Admin).
4) I navigate to Shared Services Console and checked in the Planning application-->Access Control Report, in that also I didn't find any of the users in the field of "Available users or Groups"
This is my First installation of Hyperion Version 11.

File Sharing (Read & Write) with a Network User - "Network User" Not Listed

My boyfriend and I both have Macs, running 10.6.3. Both Macs are connected to the internet via Apple Wireless Express. I have a MacBook Pro, and my boyfriend has an iMac with a big fancy screen, so I like to use for my own work when I'm at home and he isn't - it's just easier and more comfortable to use than a laptop.
I would like to find a way to use his computer to access a shared folder on my laptop with read & write access (so that I can modify the files on my laptop while using his computer). I have gotten to the point where I have a folder on my laptop with the files I want shared with his computer, and can access this folder from his computer. However, doing it this way (accessing my files on my laptop from his computer) only allows read-only access. I would like to be able to edit the files that are on my laptop using his computer, so I think I would need read and write access.
It seems the easiest way to do this would be to add a user (the boyfriend) on my laptop and give him read/write access to this specific folder that is located on my laptop. I found instructions on how to do this, and it says that I need to add a "network user". These instructions seem to indicate that when I add a user, there should be options for accounts on my laptop, my personal address book, a new account on my laptop, and network users. I see the first 3 options...but no option to add a network user.
Why is that? How would I make it so that from my laptop, I can add a network user...specifically my boyfriend's computer, who also uses the same internet network that I use?

While logged into the Mac Pro as MPUser1, I connect to the MacBook Pro file sharing as MBPUser1.
Then I "disconnect".
Then I log out of the Mac Pro MPUser1, and login as MPUser2.
The connection to MBP as MBPUser1 is still active!
This means that MPUser2 can access whatever MBPUser1 can access WITHOUT knowing MBPUser1's login password !
This seems WRONG! Anybody else seen this?

When sharing my 60 minutes iMovie project with iDVD inmediately message 'The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred (Error in user parameter list)' appears. Could not find the user parameter list, so I've no more info about this error.
Option File - Finalize Project gives inmediately the same errormessage.
Also option Share - Media Browser - Large/Medium/Mobile give the same errormessage.
Please advise, thank you!

Can you give more details? What exactly is the entire error message text? there should be an error number too. Are you trying to finalize this to an external disk?

I called Apple under my Mac support contract. They were completely unfamiliar with the error you and I were encountering. Updating to 10.8.5 didn't help.
I'm stopping my TimeCapsule while I perform these tasks, but I don't know yet if I have a consistent work-around.

HT2479 Ok so imovie 11 won't let me export my movie anywhere, no matter what it seems. all it says is he project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred. (ParamErr: error in user parameter list).

I fixed the problem.. but it was very, very strange. I had a very long section for credits and set the line spacing to 1.0.. for some reason this caused it. I removed it, and it worked fine. I put it back, and I couldn't preview or play the video.
I don't know why that could cause that big of a problem, but it did..

After phone support from apple I ended up creating a new project and adding all 117 clips back in individually till I found out what clips flagged and would not allow me to export. I had 3 I deleted and replaced and everything works now 1hr after tedious work....

When I export (and I want HD quality) I get the error message that
