User Page Recent Posts by priisaz dispays number of times a post is viewed, but when you select View all your posts, it does not. Could this field be added to the all posts view? And should I add this to Ideas page. You may move this there if you wish.

New and Delete missing on the Users page

Somehow the New and the Delete button in the "Users" page have disappeared, even for users in the "administrators" and "user administrators" set, but we did not realize this until we restarted the machine recently. A lot
of things have changed in the mean time. Any suggestions on what I should be checking? Note that we did not knowingly implement any policies to hide these buttons. Any insight/suggestions to make these buttons to appear will be highly appreciated.

Got it solved. The configuration migration tool deleted the original "User Administrators" set and recreated a new one, which had a new GUID. Since the users page looks for the GUID of the original User "User Administrators" set to determine
who can see the New/Delete buttons and who cannot, it did not recognize the newly created "User Administrators" and hence hid those buttons. So I went to the FIM Service database and replaced the GUID of the newly created set with the old GUID (I
would not go to the details here though as this involves updating GUIDs inside the DB which MSFT usually do not recommends).

ABAP Query on Recent Posting Date in G/L Account

Dear All
This is the new request that has come from the client. What they want to see is the G/L account and the most recent Posting Date. For eg Lets say that 220000 has 3 line items
1000 in march 06
2000 in april 06
3000 in may 06
End user wants to see Balance as 6000 and the most recent Posting date as may 06. If i Pull Accounting Doc # and Posting Date it will give me all the details and date which i dont really want. How do i do it ?

JSF and ADFBC: How to Run a method every time the page is posted back

Hi everyone,
I am using ADFBC and JSF in my project, and there is a page which runs the following logic: The page displays a set of radio options and a submit button. It has a total of 4 options, but they never display all at once. For example, when user enters the page for the first time, only selectItem 1 displays. When it clicks on the submit button, the page is posted back and hides the first select item, showing now the second, and so forth. The steps i did to achieve this are:
1 - Created a method on the App Module that inserts a row corresponding to the select item choice.
2 - Created another method that verifies which is the lastly entered row and returns a string containing the relevant attribute, for example, "E".
3 - Created the methodAction binding to run the insertMethod (1) and retrieveMethod (2).
4 - Created an invokeMethod executable for the retrieveMethod (2) and set the refresh property to "always".
5 - Created a variableIterator with a variable to hold the retrieveMethod return, also setting the refresh to "always".
6 - Lastly, bound the "rendered" attribute of each select item to the variable's value, for example "#{bindings.returnVariable == 'E'}
When i run the page, the logic works almost fine, except for one detail: When the user clicks the button that calls insertMethod, the page is posted back, and i assume the selectItems should be re-rendered accordingly. Yet, the button click inserts the row in the DB (called insertMethod) but keeps showing the previous radio item. If i restart OC4J, when i enter the page again the radio is now correct, showing the next option.
Do you know how can i tell the page that the model has been refreshed, so it runs the retrieveMethod again, alters the variable and the radio options without having to leave the page or restarting OC4J?

It seems i have figured out the error. It was a logic mistake on my method, ADF was doing the refreshes just fine. There is another little question i wanted to ask now: I need to execute a JSF Navigation Case when the page loads, in order to navigate to another page due to a certain condition. is there any way to run some logic to redirect the request before the page has been rendered, just like the onLoad() javascript event runs on the body every time it gets loaded?
What i'm trying to do exactly is this: When the login.jspx page runs the "success" navigation case, it goes to "page1.jspx". But before "page1.jspx" is loaded, i need to run an Application Module method to check for a certain situation; if this criteria is not met, i must run "fail" navigation case, from "page1.jspx" to "page2.jspx" without ever displaying page1.jspx.
Is it clear enough? Can you guys give me some pointers on how to do it?

Report on most recent posting date

Hi experts,
My report needs to show the fields profit center and its posting date.posting date should have a selection variable for the user to enter a key date.The report should show only the last posting date for every profit center before the key date.
my doubt is that the data in the infoprovider should be compared to get the last posting date. is it possible to read the data and get the recent posting date in the customer exit for the variable on posting date.
Please suggest the possible ways of doing this.

The recent posting date for the profit centre can not be stored as a transaction data in the cube and it can not be derived in the customer exit.
You have to add a date field as the master data attribute of profit centre and populate that from the transaction cube data to get last posting date for each profit centre.
You can then show is as the nav attaribute of profit centre in the report.

If you don't have the reply buttons in the screenshot you might have been timed out. If you started a reply copy it, refresh the page log back in. You get timed out every 30 minutes.

Why you want to move dashboard one user to another user is not clear your requirement.
I have few ideas please try it. I am not sure this is what you’re looking so far.
1. We can try to move the dashboard manually through FTP software like (Winscp) this is Linux and UNIX.
Are you trying move dashboard in windows, we have only one option through catalog manager we can move to dashboard, if you getting any error please post me we try to help out this.
2. We can give dashboard access to both users then both users can able to see the dashboard page.
If it useful for you please give me points.

Server Error on Create user page in 9iAS Portal 9.0.2.0

I have installed Oracle 9iAS Portal 9.0.2.0 on WinNT
I got the SSO page loging thru admin login and everything is fine .....i can get into build page groups etc.....
Problem

When i click Build --> Administer --> Create User
Page error:

After 24 hours, my iweb pages finally posted! Is it me? Iweb? Mobileme? All the above? I'd really like to know before my family kills me for tying up all of our bandwidth for the entire day again. Yes besides taking forever to upload, the process seems to have halted my entire home network.
I spent an hour on the phone with apple today (103297246) to have tech one say it was mobile me and tech two say it was iweb. I called time warner to see if they had throttled down my internet because I was uploading-LOL getting an answer there.
I may be the problem. To add my albums to iweb, I just dragged them to an album page on iweb. Here is an example:

I am wondering if I should have clicked the iweb button to do this when I wanted to take them out of iphoto and put them in iweb? In the past doing this with movies to iDVD has been sooo time consuming I thought dragging would be easier and that iweb would scale them accordingly. Anyone know anything about this?
Another question I have is about iweb. Why does the thing offer to upload part of your iweb sites at a time, but when it actually begins the process, it appears to upload everything? Apple had no explanation for this except to say they were working on it. Could this be the source of the slowdown?
Another thought is iweb's interface with mobile me. Could it just be off? Could I just publish my sites to folder and then drag to my idisc? If so does it take everything?
Any help of thoughts on these subjects would be most appreciated. Thank's

I usually apply some common sense before calling support.
I also prepare my stuff before publishing it.
So, after some assumptions and using the calculator:
418 photos @ 0.350MB a piece = 146MB
29 movies @ 15MB a piece = 435MB
Total = 581MB = 0.5GB
That takes some time. No need for support, just patience.
Also, it's good practice not to dump everything from the camera straight on the page. Especially AVI movies do not work well in webpages.

Create a substitution rule in which user name from the header is substituted to any of the fields in vendor line item. (assignment, text etc). After this you can use this for APP.

What exactly are you clicking on in the end user page? Your problem could be a number of things. You can get this error when the xml in a file it is referencing is not properly formed. e.g if you had not properly closed a tag in a config file.

There are other two way communications methods as well. One such would be:
Server1Page1: Take response with parameters. Use HttpURLConnection to make a request to DataInputServlet
              on Server2 and send the parameters there with a POST operation
Server2DataInputServer: Takes request with data in it and starts a new session. Puts the data into the session and
              returns the session id to the requester
Server1Page1: Reads the response from the DataInputServer (the session id) and generates a sendRedirect to
              Server2's display page using the session id. Server1Page1 is now done.
Server2Page1: Gets a request from the client with the session id, and pulls the parameters out of the session. Then
              can continue as normal.Server2Page1 can also do a quick refresh to itself not using the session id as well, which will keep the URL visible by the client relatively clean.

Where can I find documentation that discusses how I can create a custom login page and create new user page?
Also, I cannot find how to get away from the default login page.
