USER PEAK HOURS & NON PEAK HOURS

Is there any way to analyze user peak hours using SAP? Are there any standard reports or T-Code for conducting such an analysis..
Regards,
Mohammed Ali Khan.

Hi.
Well i never said the answer didn't please me. I think we all are professionals over here and since it is a professional website we should treat it that way.
I know both questions are similar in nature, but what can i say i have to listen my boss. He asked me to post this question so i did even though i informed him about the similarity of both questions, secondly i also provided him your suggestion that not to use this for calculating user productivity.
I appreciate your effort for responding to my queries but what can i say "Have to listen to my Boss!!".
I apologize if you feel offended or insulted by my posts or my queries.
Take care and Regards,
Mohammed Ali Khan.

  • Zen Touch users (and possibly non Zen Touch users) with Firmware issues click he

i just got back from the mall.i visited the electroworld branch from which i purchased my zen. i explained to them what my problem is, at first they recharged the player in a usb port in front of me...then they also reformatted it too...told me to stick to the firmware that came with the product..the player responded and thanked them..but hr later, it blacked out again..i came back to the store manager showed him my zen ( he couldnt deny it doesnt have a problem ) and within minutes told me...they are going to give me a replacement. (the diagnosis was AUTO-OFF). they did and im very thankful. right now im charging the new player and hoping...i mean really hoping that this zen works. because im not going to waste my time again even with that warranty. if this zen is defecti've, im gonna li've with its defect..but im going to save up for the fruit's company in my next purchase..better yet why not a new pda...i can play [size="+2"]ZEN TOUCH USERS (and possibly non Zen Touch users)!!!
    OH MY GOD
!!! I can't believe it, but after at least 5 hours of troubleshooting, I got it to work!!
I don't know if all of these steps are necessary or not, but this is what I did in approximately this order (I'm so excited now, I'm not even sure if this is the exact order, but I'm almost positi've this is how I did it verbatim). I really, truly hope this works for everyone else.:
    ON YOUR ZEN TOUCH:
.) Don't connect device to USB yet
    2.) Clean Disk
    3.) Format Disk
*Don't bother with restart firmware or reboot; these options are useless.
    ON YOUR PC:
.) Do NOT connect device to USB yet.
2.) I did what everyone suggested and rolled my Windows Media Player to v0 (using Add/Remove programs in Control Panel), made sure I had SP2, had the latest drivers, blah blah blah. I'm not sure if this is necessary, but I also uninstalled my Firefox WMP plugin just to be safe. :smileyindifferent:
3.) I un-installed (using Add/Remove programs in Control Panel) and re-installed my Zen Touch drivers, both my 2.0.00 and .30.03 (.30.03 is needed ONLY if you have XP Pro 64-bit edition). I'm not sure if re-installing the drivers is even necessary, but just to be safe, let's say it is. :smileyvery-happy:
    ---THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART!---
4.) I plugged my device into my USB port. When it prompts you whether you want to Sync the device with Windows Media Player or Take No Action, don't ignore it and close out. SYNC IT! I made the mistake of thinking that because my firmware was corrupted and my drivers weren't recognizing my Zen Touch as nothing more than a worthless hard dri've that there was no way it would sync with WMP. IT DOES
!!! I don't know how but it freakin' does!
5.) Open up your firmware update file and try to update again. Mine worked immediately and updated the player within seconds!
NOTE: As mentioned on Creative's Support page, probably the only thing they were right about, your device will no longer be compatible with MediaSource. If you want to add music, you have to do it with Windows Media Player 0's Sync page now. And for the love of god, don't update Windows Media Player! It's not worth it! Winamp is way better anyways!
Good luck everyone! I sincerely mean that. :manhappy:
Message Edited by invisiblephrend on 06-07-2008 :32 PMusic files in it, watch movies, save medical books etc..

I also strongly recommend that when Windows Media Player asks you whether you want to sync automatically or manually to choose the manual option. Automatic just randomly grabs music files and could likely add?music you don't want on your device.

Try the code contained in this pex file.
We got it from someone in Forte quite a while ago and found that it worked
pretty good. I haven't used it for a long time since, and it was probably
written using an old version of Forte. However, it should still work, or
    at
least you may find some salvageable code that can be "modernized" to what
    ever
    version you are using.
    (See attached file: FtExecShutDown.pex)
    PS
You would almost think that by version 3+ of a product Forte would have
    nailed
down their empty and orphaned (defunct in UNIX) processes bugs. The
    environment
manager should be able to auto-magically shut them down or at least keep
    them
down to an acceptable number. But alas, we still find ourselves
    occasionally
exceeding our finite server resources due to rouge processes doing
    nothing.

    Venerable Forte Gurus,
Aside from using the Econsole, is there a way to kill the "None" ftexecs
that sometimes hang around after forte partitions are shut down?
In Econsole, if you view->node outline, then select the Forte Executor,
    you
may see some running ftexecs with no application assigned -- they show up
    as
"None". When I subsequently launch applications, I want them to start in
new ftexecs, not in the old "none"s, which have old command-line parms,
    memory settings, etc.
    Thanks!

  • ICal Invites to Outlook Users 5 Hours Off

    Hi,
Have found a few posts on this, with even fewer answers. When I send iCal event invites to attendees who are on Win XP Outlook v 2003 sp2, the event is off by 5 hours. My 9 am appointments show up as 4 in the morning.
Have tried resetting all time zone settings. Got some satisfaction setting time zone to floating (except now the invite is from 9 am - 9am). Have all Apple OS patches applied.
Will trashing prefs fix this?? AND If I trash my iCal prefs will I loose all my appointments???
I know this is likely a fight between Apple and slacker programmers at MS, but for the sake of the users, can't someone just make a fix??
Oh yea, suggestions to fix are greatly appreciated.
    thanx,
    jeff

    Jeff,
Oddly enough, I de-selected the option in the iCal preferences to Turn on Time Zone Support, and I was able to view events obtained from Outlook users in the correct timeframe. Not sure why this was the case, but any event sent to me as a calendar event from Outlook would always show up as GMT time zone, which is not where I'm located.
This doesn't completely answer your question, as you were sending events out to Outlook users, but it might be worth trying?

Normaly that means that the CIM Client is not correctly configured, but the SLD runs over the SolMan (7.1) and in the VisualAdmin > Server > Services > SLD Data Supplier
HTTP Settings and CIM Client Settings are set to the SolMan host and uses the SLDDSUSER to sync the data with the SLD.
Does anyone have an idea what process will connect hourly to the portal where the Administrator is set as user?
I've been searching and reading the now for over two days on the SCN and the web, but I didn't figured it out.
It looks like the portal itselfs want to connect to the local /sld/cimom but the SLD of the portal is still stopped, and also if its running, I get the same error every hour.
    Thanks for any advise!
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,
Please do the following once, if possible.
    1. Please change the password of administrator user and save the password in secure store and recycle the system.
    2. You may create a user with equivalent access/permission like administrator temporarily, until this problem is resolved, so that you can unlock the administrator logging in with that id.
    3. Please check if that administrator is being used in any connection from java stack, where the password is still old.
    4. Attach the default trace here at the time when the user is getting locked. We want to check further.
    5. You can follow what David advised in the SAP note, if you can identify the real cause, otherwise follow the above steps.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Sujit Kumar Banerjee.

  • User online hours bapi fm

    Hi everybody,
I need to find a function module or BAPI that I can use to get the hours and days that users were online on the SAP system.
I already found the transaction sm21 were I can get this list but I need the bapi or fm that gives me the list.
    Kind regards,
    Wouter

I am on SAP 4.7 and i see it in SE37. You can search for SYSLOG* in se37 and it will give you a list of FM's. You can use the one that meets your requirements.

  • Setting up Classic:  1st time mac user -- spent hours going thru threads

    Hi Everyone,
After a lifetime of receiving & resisting PC-related brainwashing, I have finally found the means to purchase my first Apple computer (Yeah!). It's a Powerbook G4 running Tiger version .9 -- it only came with 3 Install Discs for Panther, however (#1 and #2 say 'v10.3.2', disc #3 only says 'v10.3'). Which install discs I have seems to be a central issue in ways I don't really understand yet; so there's that info for you.
I was thinking that I might be able to install a Classic system folder from disc #2 (I've checked Sys Pref & don't seem to have one anywhere), but I can't find OS 9 as an option when I put in that disc (or any of them) and explore. I've been wary about restarting the computer with any install discs in, because I really don't know what I'm doing yet. Is it safe for me to do that w/o jeopardizing my current OS (remember, don't have Tiger discs) or jeopardizing my HD?
In addition, I looked under 'About this Mac' >> 'More Info >>...>> and found that my hard drive does NOT have the OS 9 drivers installed. How does this affect what options I may have?
I have an old external hard drive that I WOULD be willing to reformat and mess around with. Is it an option for me to install & run OS 9 off of it via Classic Mode in Tiger? It's connected via USB... Could I install it onto there easily from Tiger without jeopardizing my current setup?
Thanks for bearing with me on this. I'm trying to think through all info you might need to know from me about my situation, while simultaneously relearning the basics (such as holding down CTRL when clicking acts as a right-click on my laptop!) It's a bit much... I've heard such great things about Macs over the years, so this is your chance to help me have a good first experience!

Hi, Zapple, and welcome to Apple Discussions. Your Powerbook can't start up in OS 9. That means you don't have the option of using a retail OS 9 installer CD, because such an installer only runs in OS 9, not in OS X. The CDs or DVD that were originally shipped with your Powerbook included an installer for a version of OS 9 that is serviceable as Classic, but not bootable. If you have or can get those original discs (check with the seller first, because you should have received them with the PB), that would be the best way for you to install Classic. If you can't get them from the seller, duplicates of the original discs may still be available from Apple Customer Relations, by telephone only, for a small fee: call AppleCare at 1-800-275-2273 for information about availability and how to order. Have your Powerbook's serial number handy when you call, and be aware that you may be asked to furnish proof that you purchased the computer legitimately.
The Panther install discs you have are of no use to you, because your computer was originally shipped with either OS X 10.3.7 or 10.4, and no Mac model can run an OS version earlier than the one that was shipped with it. They probably won't even start your PB up. Sooner or later it will be imperative for you to have a Tiger installer DVD, unless you buy Leopard and install it before you experience any problem that requires you to use an installer disc for troubleshooting or repairs. But Leopard won't be out until next Fall, so that's not likely. A retail Tiger installer won't contain a Classic installer, but you should buy one anyway: if you don't have one, you're sure to need it.
The only other Classic installation option I know of for you, besides obtaining the original PB G4 discs or duplicates of them, is to copy an OS 9.2.2 System Folder that provides Classic operation on another Mac. Bear in mind that someone else's copy of OS 9 is licensed for use on only one computer, so there might be legal issues in copying it to a second computer. But it's also arguable, perhaps, that by purchasing your computer, you also purchased the right to use the software that was originally supplied with it, even if the discs weren't delivered to you by reason of of the seller's negligence, ignorance or dishonesty. Note that I'm no lawyer, and you'll have to be the judge of what's comfortable for you.

  • User 'lucas' - completely non functional?!

    Hey everyone,
I'm having a very, very bizarre problem that I'm hoping someone can shed some light on.
OS X Server 10.5.2 on an Xserve. The thing is still in near out-of-the-box condition. I set Apache up with a few sites, but otherwise, the server is blank. I didn't migrate any users or groups from anywhere - it's quite a blank slate right now aside from some straight user accounts filed into two groups - all standard stuff though, nothing fancy at all. The users and groups were only set up to handle access to realms under Apache.
So one of my users, named Lucas, needed an account to enter some stuff on our intranet site. I created an account with the name "Lucas", short name "lucas", a password, and filed him into our two groups. Just like I had done for about eight other accounts - same setup, same everything.
But this user "lucas" cannot log into the site.
I checked the logs, and found this:
modauthapple: Access to /special/fbo/calendar/month.php failed, reason: user 'lucas' does not meet 'require'ments for user/valid-user to be allowed access
Huh. Aside from the weirdness in the word "requirements", I thought maybe I'd put him in the wrong groups. Checked again. Changed the password. Changed the name of the account. Nothing I do does the trick - the server just spits out the login attempt.
So then I tried creating a bunch of other users:
    "lucis"
    "luces"
    "lacis"
    "lacus"
    etc…
These *all worked fine.* I'm stumped. There's never been a user with a name remotely resembling "lucas" on this server, ever, before about an hour ago when I created it.
    Help?!

Wow! I know you are not looking to experiment (or I assume you aren't) but I would suggest at least trying this once. To me is sounds like you are describing an issue where when the long and short names are initially identical, this might occur.
So, create a new user with the same long and short names (like 'faust'/'faust' etc.) and see if somehow it is some kind of AD rights issue maybe between long and short names etc. and let us know or, if that is what you did, confirm that as well, and that it would seem to be something with the name 'lucas' only.
I will be watching this thread!
    Peter
OOh! What is the uid and gid of lucas?!? need to know that and the rights assignment for /special/fbo/calendar/month.php while your at it.

  • LDIF Importing a user with a non-encrypted password fails, anywork arounds?

I was able to import a group without issue:
    dn: cn=Authenticated,cn=Groups,dc=oraclelinux,dc=com
    description: test group
    objectClass: top
    objectClass: groupOfUniqueNames
    uniqueMember: cn=orcladmin,cn=People,dc=oraclelinux,dc=com
    cn: Authenticated
But when I try to import a standard user:
    dn: cn=testuser2,cn=Users, dc=oraclelinux, dc=com
    userpassword:: password1
    description: test user
    objectClass: top
    objectClass: person
    sn: testuser2
    cn: testuser2
It fails if I remove the password field then I can import the user without issue, but I need to include the password field as it is part of what was exported from the old LDAP Server.
If I create a user in an ldif import it then add a password using oracle's Directory Manager upon exporting it the entry loks like:
    dn: cn=testuser, cn=Users, dc=oraclelinux, dc=com
    authpassword;orclcommonpwd: {MD5}fGoYCzaJagqMAnh+6vsOTA==
    authpassword;orclcommonpwd: {X- ORCLLMV}E52CAC67419A9A2238F10713B629B565
    authpassword;orclcommonpwd: {X- ORCLNTV}5835048CE94AD0564E29A924A03510EF
    authpassword;oid: {SASL/MD5}tUquh+Duowh2aWSEwONtcQ==
    authpassword;oid: {SASL/MD5-DN}lcQ7Z5O5vcwzXMeaZ65fYw==
    authpassword;oid: {SASL/MD5-U}AAWzkmDDCJLbs9mxoWBTiw==
    userpassword:: e1NIQX00NHJTRkpROXF0SFdUQkF2cnNLZDVLL3AyajA9
    description: test user
    objectclass: top
    objectclass: person
    sn: testuser
    cn: testuser
Changing my imported ldif to look like the following WORKS:
    dn: cn=testuser2,cn=Users, dc=oraclelinux, dc=com
    userpassword:: e1NIQX00NHJTRkpROXF0SFdUQkF2cnNLZDVLL3AyajA9
    description: test user
    objectClass: top
    objectClass: person
    sn: testuser2
    cn: testuser2
So the password must be encrypted then?, if so how to I generate a password hash on the command-line and through JAVA?
Can an import be forced with a plain text password (Tivoli, SUN both support this functionality).
Can I change the constraint that the password must contain a numeric char? (Found in document: http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28196_01/idmanage.1014/b15991/pwdpolicies.htm#g1051713)
After fixing the constaints I can import a non-encrypted password from an ldif, but it can not be verified and only the authpassword;oid entries are created not the authpassword;orclcommonpwd entries.
    Thanks for your assistance,
    ERIC GANDT

Eric, my first guess would be that the OID password policy prevents loading of the password i.e. the password doesn't match the existing password policy.
What version is your "old" OID and what is the version of the current OID you're using?
What is the error msg you get?
    regards,

  • "locked" users  open to non-admin and guest users

I had this problem a while ago and did a work around that worked.
When I am on guest or other non-admin users accounts and open hard drive and then users I can access files that should be locked. Mine is the only acct that has a Red slashed circle thru it. My wife's account is also admin but the red circle slashes show up past her icon and some of her folders are open.
The last time this came up I dragged her open files into the redslashed document file and everything was fine.
But now my son's file is open to all and this computer is used by many.
When I do the get information and try to change anything in there I get a message of unexpected error and operation could not be completed message error code 120
I get this when I try to get information using my admin acct., his non-admin account, or the guest account. Sometimes it asks me to authorize and then an error now it goes right to error
And the group is listed as admin and read only so it should not be open to all?
Thanks for you help again with these, to me , befuddling problems
    Barry

Hi Barry, you need to Repair the HD 1st off with that error code 120 = HFS "Directory not found".
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Tiger Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
Then we can work on the other problems, if Disk Utility or fsck should fail to repair it, your best bet is DiskWarrior from Alsoft, you'll need the CD to boot from if you don't have another boot drive...

    <Edited By Host>

You can try the following on your friends phone:
    1.  Remove the contact card
    2. Then turn off iMessage and then back on again
    3. Go to Messages and compose a new message
    4. Press +.  This will make a list of recent contacts pop up.
    5. Click on the info button number of the contact you are trying to reach.
    6. Remove from Recents
    7. Try to compose another message
    8.  If the message attempts to send as blue (imessage), press on the message.
9 Option to send as SMS will appear (as long as they have SMS turned on.
    10. Repeat and rinse.
    11. Messages will start changing over to all SMS as the user will show as non-imessage user.
    Hope this helps

  • User upload of non JPG image files to be then displayed in iScripts

I am attempting to build a tool for non-technical users to easily create quick link pagelets with icons that point to URLs or Content References. One of the issues I am running into is the image upload PeopleCode commands seem to limit the file type to jpegs. Jpeg do not allow transparent backgrounds which makes it hard to take seals and similar icons and just super impose them over a background. When I looked at the file attachment functions I did not see a way to output a web server URL for image to be included on a page it only looked like there were only ftp server calls. Any thoughts?
    -Bryan

Use the File Attachment API (AddAttachment) to upload files to a database table, and then use an iScript to serve them. This blog post has an example iScript for reading attachments from tables: http://jjmpsj.blogspot.com/2009/01/exporting-attachments-part-2.html.
Chapter 2 of my PeopleTools Tips and Techniques book (http://www.amazon.com/PeopleSoft-PeopleTools-Techniques-Oracle-Press/dp/0071664939) has a complete example including a component for uploading files and an iScript for serving them. I call the component "Web Assets."

  • How to detect the Acrobat Browser Plug-in version installed on a users system for non-IE browsers?

How to detect the *Acrobat Browser Plug-in version* installed on a users system, on Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc?
Or one script for detecting Plug-in version for major browsers. Need full example code.

Wrote an article on this with code samples (Javascript + HTML) - basically there are differences between IE and other browsers. Chrome natively comes with the Chrome PDF Viewer so I've incorporated that in my detection script.
The script detects the browser type, and the installed acrobat version...
