  • ACS with Tivoli Identity Manager

Has anyone implemented ACS with ITIM? It was press released almost a year ago and I cannot find any technical documentation to find out how it integrates. What I need to find out is: Does the ACS server use ITIM as a external database for user auth? Or do both products need to backend into the same LDAP dir for user/pass info?

Yes, we have. ITIM has develped an ITIM ACS agent for Cisco ACS integration. The ITIM ACS Agent is installed on the ACS server and it communicates with Cisco ACS application through Cisco ACS available API. Through the ITIM agent, TIM can creat, delete and modify ACS user's account. No, Cisco ACS server can not use ITIM database as an external for user auth.

  • Error in central admin - when editing MANAGE POLICIES under USER PROFILES

When, in Central Administration, I go to Service Application "User Profiles", and then click on "Manage Policies" (under the People section):
    I get this message:
"Your search encountered an error. If the problem persists, contact the portal site administrator"
Strange enough, when I select another option (like Manage User Profiles) I do get results.
In ULS get any critical errors. What I so see, is the following message at the moment I go select User Po9licies:
“Error loading data set containing privacy policy objects: Microsoft.Office.Server.USerProfiles.InvalidValueException:….”
Can anyone help me to resolve this issue?

  • Sharepoint 2013 - Active Directory Import User Profile Property manager fields

    Hi there,
I juste encountered actually a little issue regarding the Active Directory Import User Profil.
Importation seems to work well but I have a little problem regarding the Manager field.
When I verify a user profil through the sharepoint admin page ("Manage user profil") , I can see the manager field is correctly populated, but if I want to check my profil as a user (personal information), the manager field is not visible.
With Sharepoint Admin and Manage Profil Properties, I haven't the possibility to modify some settings for the manager.
For example, Policy parameters is greyed.
The only way I found to show this field in a user profil is to give the permission "allow users to Edit values ...".... setting I don't want to set.
Have you already this sort of issue ?
    Thanks for your help/idea.

    Hi Michael,
I don't remember well what I did exactly regarding this issue because I played a lot with user profil.
I know I used this powershell script from Sheyia which in fact help me a lot to clean and create a good profil setting.
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/sheyia/archive/2013/10/09/sharepoint-2013-another-way-to-change-order-for-user-profile-properties-via-powershell.aspx
For example, this script help me to resolve some double entries.
Let-me know if it help you (or not of course)

  • User profile in WINDOWS 8.1, 8, 7 redirected to C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile

    Hi all,
When you are logging into Windows 8.1,8 or 7 using your user credential you will finaly end up as system service account or at least your profile will be recognized this way. This mean that system is now looking in C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile
    for DESKTOP, DOCUMENTS etc.
I faced this probem few times on diffrent PCs. This problem has been out there for some time and peapole are tring to copy their profile to C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile. Sound no good for me.
Another way is to create new profile but it takes a lot of time and the problem sometimes comes back
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-corrupted-user-profile#1TC=windows-7
I manage to find out that the issue has something to do with the change of the registry at
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\S-X-X-XX-XXXXXXXXXXXX
S-X-X-XX-XXXXXXXXX is your user SID. The to REG_DWORD that are changed
    FLAGS
    REFCOUNT
After you change values to FLAGS 1 and REFCOUNT 0 you have to log out. Now log in and you profile should be back again.
I hope that this will save you some time and that microsoft will finaly fix whatever cause this issue.

    Hi Grzegorz,
Thanks for sharing and it will be very useful for the people who will come across the similar symptom in the future .

  • How to view the MissingFields Form in Sun Identity Manager

    Hi All,
In the Tabbed User Form [in the Sun Identity Manager's administrative interface], there's this tab called Attributes. This is referring to a form called MissingFields. I want to read this form and understand it's working logic. But I am not able to find out as to where's it stored.
    Help me.
    Thanks,
    Shriram Ravikumar.

I believe this is not a real form but a special built-in form or something.
Because when I open the Tabbed User Form in BPE and try to open the reference to MissingFields I get an error.

    Andy,
It's my understanding that in order to achieve SSO w/ TAM running under WebSeal, that a Portal Integration Kit (PIK) must first be produced from BusinessObjects for the XI R2 platform.  Back in early April 2007, before I knew about PIKs, I submitted a trouble ticket to Tech Support in the hopes of getting a "quick" solution, hence the PIK education lesson.  In response to my request, tech support submitted an enhancement request for a WebSeal Portal Integration Kit, the Ticket number for the enhancement is ADAPT00755013.   If you find out anything further on this situation, I'd be all ears!!

  • UPA Service: User Profile Sync is not currently provisioned

    Hello Team
As we have SharePoint 2013 On-Premises and got stuck on the UPA, It was working fine previously (Before migrating SQL Server). I have migrated SQL Server 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2014 by using Alias and everything seems to be working properly except UPA.
I am unable to start user profile synchronization services and getting message in event viewer below
"The Execute method of job definition Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.UserProfileImportJob (ID d4e4db3c-37ee-4ae8-8a25-f3d974a8be95) threw an exception. More information is included below. Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object."
My SharePoint server fully pathced to SP1 and June 14 CU without any error/warnings on that. I have checked and searched and applied solution but still i am unable to start the services for FIM and UPA.
All the Users, Directroy and registry permission are correct. I dont want to remove existing one because mysite working, unable to synch new data from AD as this is not started.
User Profile Sync is not currently provisioned -

  • How to provision multiple AD Accounts to a single User Profile in OIM

    Hi,
We are using OIM 11g R2. We have implemented AD Provisioning/Reconciliation using Active Directory 11g Connector.
The correlation rule for linking AD accounts with OIM during target recon is set as “Email ID”
We have some business requirement where we want to provision multiple AD Accounts to a single User Profile in OIM.
    Issue we are facing:
Suppose we have USERID1 in OIM which has email id as USERID1@ XYZ.COM .
After that we have provisioned sAMAccountName=USERID1 (Email ID as USERID1@ XYZ.COM )& sAMAccountName=USERID2 (Email ID as [email protected]) to the user User Login = USERID1 in OIM.
Both the AD User accounts can be seen as provisioned.
After we run the AD Target Recon, the target recon is failing because of “Multiple Process Matches Found” issue.
    Question here is:
Is it possible to maintain/manage multiple AD Accounts (Same AD is used for all the multiple AD Accounts) to a single OIM profile user ?
    Regards,
    J

    Hi,
We have seen its working and linking multiple accounts when we have Key field as "User ID" in the Process Defn & RO and the recon matching rule has email ID as the matching rule.
Please suggest, if we are having the above kind of rule/config...will it not cause any issue?
    Regards,
    J

    Abhishek Madan

    Hi Abhishek,
According to your description, my understanding is that the User Profile Synchronization service stuck on ‘Starting’ or ‘Stopping’.
Please check whether you installed SQL 2012 Native Client (Pre-requisites) on SharePoint server. If yes, download and install SQL 2008 R2 Native Client from the below location:
    http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/1/3/9138773A-505D-43E2-AC08-9A77E1E0490B/1033/x64/sqlncli.msi
From the SharePoint server ->control panel -> add/Remove programs , please confirm that the SQL 2008 Native Client is listed.
Make sure that the farm account is a member of the Administrators group on the server on which you are trying to start the User Profile Synchronization service, then restart the SharePoint Timer Service.
Set the FIM services to "Local System" before starting the service.
There is a troubleshooting for User Profile Synchronization Service start issues, please have a look at:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg750257(v=office.14).aspx

  • Identity Management 8.0  - SAP Provisioning Forms UI display

    Hi guys!
I'm trying to setup a new environment with SAP Identity Management 8.0, using the standard SAP Provisioning Framework.
I've already followed all install guide and configuration steps, but the Web forms for default provisioning tasks are not appearing on the Self Service tab or Manage tab. I've already tried to modify the forms to let anonymous and everyone to execute the form, but no clue.
The tabs appears OK, but no tasks are available to choose
We are using the lastest patches available until today.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Eduardo,
Please go to the forms and right click over the Identity folder.
The option Show Folder in User Interface should be selected
If this doesn't help please try restarting the JMX and check your Datasource.
    Regards,
    Todor

  • Unable to push user profiles to AD groups with Profile Manager since upgrade to Server v3

Since upgrading our OS X Mac server from 10.8.5 to 10.9.1, and OS X Server app to v3 (now 3.0.2) I have been unable to push or modify user profiles to AD groups (or AD users) using Profile Manager. This was working fine on OS X 10.8.5. Pushing device profiles is still working OK after the upgrade.
From what I can see from the logs on the client side and server side, it seems related to a problem with the mdm authtoken.
In the client console I can see this entry:
    27/01/14 14:30:15.844 mdmclient[38557]: *** ERROR *** [Agent:636102071] Unable to proceed with connection to: https://ourserver.ourdomain/devicemanagement/api/device/mdm_connect (com.apple.mdmconfig.mdm) because don't have valid MDM AuthToken
On the server, in the php.log I can see the corresponding attempt to authenticate:

So I can see there is a failure to authenticate, but don't really know how to troubleshoot this further. Or maybe this is just a bug in the new server app?
I have tried to remove and re-enroll clients in Profile Manager but no joy there.
In the client's Keychain I can see an MDM user AuthToken linked to the correct user account.
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions

I just wanted to update my post, as this issue for me is resolved.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the Server.app on our Mac server, since then I've been able to push profiles to AD Users and Groups. I guess that in my case the Server app got into a bit of a mess when it was upgraded to v3.
Now the next headache I have is that my AD Groups which are displayed in Profile Manager are not syncing any recent changes. I think I'm probably seeing the same issue as described in this post

  • Initiall SharePoint Server 2013 setup -- unable to manage new User Profile Service Application

During initial farm setup, creating an initial User Profile Service Application works fine.  However, once it's created, I cannot 'manage' it through the Manage Service Applications page in central
    admin.
I get a generic error (Sorry, something went wrong / unexpected error) with a correlation ID that doesn't seem to match any ULS log entries. (Yes, I merged logs from all machines in the farm.)
A Windows event log entry says:
A failure was reported when trying to invoke a service application: Endpoint Failure
Also frequent errors in ULS logs:  (see below)
    UserProfileApplicationNotAvailableException
User Profile Application      Proxy failed to retrieve partitions from User Profile Application: Micro…
    SPDistributedCache DataCacheException
I did notice that the file 'ProfileService.svc does not exist in SharePoint's web services app at the URL you see in the error. (below)
I also found it interesting that the event log error shows 1 active endpoint and 3 failed endpoints.  I have 2 WFEs and 2 app servers.  But I'm only trying to get the user profile service app running on the application
servers.  I have deleted and recreated this service app several times under various names (deleted/recreated its app pool as well) and wonder if these other failed endpoints could be orphans from previous instances...
Any thoughts on how I might successfully create this service application?  I've already been Binging my head against a wall long enough that I would have been better off reinstalling the entire farm...  I may still
    do that.
FYI, my farm came from a slipstreamed SP1 install package, and received the July CU after several other things were already configured, including the already-failed UP service application.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I performed the service restarts, and then an iisreset an the two web servers, and the application server that does not run the services.  Finally, I ran iisreset on the application server that does run the services.
After performing those steps, I still cannot manage the user profile service application.
ULS log at the time of the attempt contains User Profile Application Proxy errors (in my original post) and am also noticing the following error:

  • How to get the user created when I prepare for the BD Identity Manager

Hi I have a query, I need to get a backup database Identity Manager 9.1, I have a problem I do not remember user created to perform the backup, how can you know that I created when I made the installation of Identity Manager, or how can I find

    Hi,
    You can do this trick:
    1) Go to "Deployment Manager" in the Web Console, and open the EXPORT applet
    2) Export the User Defined Fields from the USR form. You don't need any dependence for this.
    3) Open the generated XML with a text editor.
    3) Search for the <SDK_SCHEMA> tag
This tag contains the OIM schema name, wich shoud be your OIM database user.
    Hope it helps,
