User provisioning error

Hi
In Hyperion System 11,
After provisioning a user, when trying to login into planning, it gives error as: Failed to sync with user provisoning.
I tried refreshing the filters again and Sync native directory from Shared services but still the error persist.
please suggest.

Hi Rajeev,
The process form already has default values.
however pwdnever expries will be 1 and usermustchangelogon will be 0. As both cannot be set.
About adding 'ALLUSERS', I will try this.
Your inputs are really helpful in finding the approach. Thank you.

  • Sync with user provisioning error

    Hi,
I am working on planning 9.3. I am facing following problems :
1)I have created a form and when I use "Assign access" option I don't see any user in the list. When I click on add access option, I am getting following error
" Sync with user provisioning succedded with Errors. See Planning log for details"
2)When I add an user in user console management and give provisioning(Application provisioning) to it , it is not giving me any error. But I am not able to sign in with the new username to the application
    Please suggest solution.
    Thanks

    Hi,
This is in response to post by tclauer..
Is this happening on all planning apps or is the problem specific to one app ?
Can you log in with the admin account ?
Can you access the following URL from the planning server :-
    http://<HSS servername>:58080/interop/framework/getCSSConfigFile
Does a file exist in (I am assuming you are on Tomcat)
    Hyperion\deployments\Tomcat5\HyperionPlanning\temp
    like :- <HSS servernamer>-getCSSConfigFile-<generatednumber>-CSS.xml
There should also be a file in the same directory called :-
    SharedServices_Security_Client.log
This log might give further details to the errror
    Cheers

  • AE 5.2 - User provisioning error

    Hi,
When using AE 5.2 to provision a new user, I receive the following error when I approve the request.
Error in Provisioning your request, Request no: 60 error details :
§BPD290-Field symbol has not yet been assigned.
BPD290 being the CUA client which is connected to our AE system.
Although the error message is display, if I approve the request again it processes successfully and the user is provisioned.
Does anyone know what could cause this error or how it can be resolved?
    Thanks in advance
    Sujeet

This was caused by a custom development on the CUA client in the background - field type was used to maintain certain parameters.

  • Failed to sync with user provisioning 9.3.3

    Hello,
I have a new twist on a common error. We have two Planning applications. We copied one from prod to dev, but during the duration of this, I had to change my password. Now I can sign onto one planning application, but not the one we refreshed, due to the "Failed to sync with user provisioning" error. I can sign onto EAS Console and Shared Services.
Can you please tell me what I have to do to resync this Planning application, and instructions on how to do this? I have access to the admin account and database tables if required. This is version 9.3.3.
    Thank you,

    Hello John,
I am logging in with my user id, which is an administrator, but not the "admin" account. I am unfamiliar with the term application owner, but I expect it is the "admin" account. We use single server sign on, so my network username and password are the Hyperion/Essbase username and password.
I think the problem is, between the time we copied the application from production and copied it to development, I changed my password.
I looked in the hsp_users table, and it does not have usernames. Is there a way to associate the user_id with a username to find out which one is mine?
I would copy the SID value from the working to the non-working one. I understand that part.
    Thank you,

  • CUP Provisions user to SAP successfully but gives "Auto-Provisioning" error

    Hi All,
I'm getting an "auto-provisioning" error in CUP when a "Change Account" workflow is approved. The strange thing is, CUP does successfully provision the change to the SAP backend. Yet, the "New Account" provisions successfully without the error.
Here is an example of the audit trail log from Change Account:

    Hello Varun,
Thanks for the thought on this. We don't use User Defaults for Change Account, but do for New Account. You question prompted me to do more testing with very interesting results.
    Results
New Account with User Defaults configured:
User provisioned successfully, no Auto-Provision error, Defaults NOT provisioned.
New Account without User Defaults configured:
User provisioned successfully, no Auto-Provision error.
Change Account with User Defaults configured:
User provisioned successfully, no Auto-Provision error, Defaults NOT provisioned.
Change Account without User Defaults configured:
User provisioned successfully, Auto-Provision ERROR, Defaults NOT provisioned.
In both New and Change Account, the configured User Defaults are NOT provisioned even though the user is provisioned. AC5.3 is on SP12, the RTA is VIRSANH SP12 and VIRSAHR SP10.
For the Change Account, the user is always provisioned regardless of User Defaults; however, when no User Default is configured, the Auto-Provisioning error occurs. The User Defaults NOT provisioning is a real problem, the CUP error message, I can work around for now.
What about on your side? Am I the only guy using SP12 here?

  • GRC AE User provisioning for Portal giving error

    Hi,
We are having GRC AC 5.3- SP9.
While doing user provisioning for Portal, we are getting the following error:  DBCacheVerifier.java@58:isExpired(). Detailed error log is attached herewith. The back end system (EP Dev) is installed with GRC RTA. Connectors are testing OK. The CPIC user id in backend system EPDev is ED1GRC and has SUPER ADMIN Authorizations, with SPML read/write actions attached to the Role. EP Dev system is having UME as data source, not LDAP. The issue was existing even before the SP9 upgrade. We have restarted the Server several times lately. Pls help me in this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Jagadish H S
    BASIS Team, BPCL, Mumbai.

    Jagadish,
This type of error would normally be a data setup issue. Have you imported all of the initial data files (XML ones)?
Otherwise, if it is just a cache issue, then restarting the server would normally solve the proplem. I would also check the Java Netweaver Admin console to ensure that the memory settings are sufficiently configured to match the hardware that is deployed.

  • Compliant user provisioning configuration done but can't create new request

    Hi All,
We have upgraded our system from GRC 5.2 to GRC 5.3.
Then we have done all the configuration for Risk analysis (CC) and then we have completed the configuration for Compliant user provisioning(Access enforcer) but now when we are going to create the request it is saying the request canniot be created.
THe request passes through all the steps it is successful at Risk anlysis step also.
But at the last step when we go to submit the Request this error comes.
I have looked at the logs present in : Monitoring :--> System log.    I could not find anything.
Am i looking at wrong place for logs. ?
Is there any issue with the configuration.. Because the requests was successfully created when in GRC 5.2.
    Can anybody help me. ?

    Rajesh-
Since 5.3 is in the ramp-up phase, you can contact SAP directly and they will resolve your problem very quickly, since they will be releasing it to all clients in October.
And I am assuming you are working with SAP directly right now, since you have upgraded to 5.3, right?...

  • Posixaccount and posixgroup user provisioning in sun LDAP through sunIDM 7

    Hi folk
I am trying to do userprovisioning in LDAP for posixaccount and posixgroup.
From authorative datasource I am getting role, rolestatus, uidNumber,cn etc.
Based on role user will be placed in posixgoup.
    Role to group mapping is
    one-to-many
Anybady can tell me how can i do it.
User provisioning is automatically so i have make some changes in workflow and writea rule for role to group mapping and i need to call that rule in workflow.
But how i will make changes in workflow and what chnages are required for posixaccount and posixgroup prov.
please help if anybody has done or give me some idea how can i do it.
    Thanks

    Hello All,
Thank you for your time and valuable replies.
I got rid of the "Missing" error and now I am one step away from the solution.
Now I am at a stage where: (for a user with initial password on LDAP)
    1. In AD if "User needs to change password on next logon" flag is NOT set - user can successfully logon to portal. (without being prompted for password change)
    2. In AD if "User needs to change password on next logon" flag is set - then user cannot logon to portal - I get User authentication failed error.
I have went through a lot of discussions around this topic on SDN and different SAP Notes. I have tried to maintain UME Security policy as close as possible to LDAP (I cannot make it exactly same due to some differences in LDAP and UME).
However, when and administrator can change passwords from UME successfully without any problem - it means that:
    - Security policy is being met
    - Service user used to communicate to LDAP has all the required access
The only missing piece of the puzzle is how to enable the users to be able to change their passwords (with initial or expired passwords).
According to Note 865399 - the default value for The property ume.ldap.access.set_pwd is TRUE.
Also the property ume.ldap.access.pwd.via.usercontext can only be TRUE when ume.ldap.access.set_pwd is set to FALSE.
So, I have tried setting the following without any success:
    <ume.ldap.access.pwd.via.usercontext>true</ume.ldap.access.pwd.via.usercontext>
    <ume.ldap.access.set_pwd>false</ume.ldap.access.set_pwd>
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Have you updated the datasources for each of the planning applications, you will need to update the password and probably recycle planning app server.
    Cheers

  • Planning 931 -   Failed to sync with user provisioning

I am getting " Failed to sync with user provisioning. Check Planning log for details" error message while trying to login
This issue is not for all users. I can login as admin and refresh my security via planning web

    Hi Amit,
i had similar issue when i migrated planning application from test to Dev.
here is the solution which I followed and resolved the issue:
    1.Login as admin account
    2.click on Administration tab.
    3. select Dimensions from menu.
    4. select any of the member.
    5. Click on Assign Access.
    6. Which takes you new window.
    7. Click on "migrate identities", once it is successful.
    8. logoff and try to login with any other user.
    hope this helps.

  • Failed to sync with user provisioning

    Hi,
None of the users other than admin are able to login to planning application in SIT. I have the admin access in SIT, but still not able to log into any planning application. The error i get is "Failed to sync with user provisioning. Check Planning log for details".
What could be the reasons? Which log do i check?
    version - 11.1.1.3
    Regards,
    Ragav.

Have you tried running the updateusers utility :- http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/hp_admin/ch03s12.html
this should try and sync HSS with the planning tables, it will also output any failures.
    Cheers

  • Failed to sync with user provisioning. Check Planning log for details

    hey everyone,
we just did a password update for our hyperion planning application owner account. and now when i try to login to hyperion planning, i get the following error message:
Failed to sync with user provisioning. Check Planning log for details.
I can still login to shared services and workspace with the same application owner account.
i also tested and verified that I can login to Essbase via Excel using this application owner acct. after i changed the password, i have stop and restarted the weblogic web services after I updated the password.
because i kept getting the error, i have reverted back the password to the original one... but i am still getting the same error message.
btw, we are using a solaris server running WebLogic9, Hyperion System 9. any help or tips would be appreciated.. thx.

  • User Provisioning

    hi,
    Can anybody help ..
I did the CSSExport/import to migrate Hyperion Planning Users from one environment (UAT) to another (TRN)
All users are migrated as per log file but the user still can't accress the Planning
They encountered this error - failed to sync with user provisioning
Could you tell me the procedure to copy external users including provisioning from one server to another
    thanks

Yes, I was able to login as admin
I tried running the updateusers utility and got this error
